all dev such justin should focus on work only, let others the progress update

If you look at the time in a full working day... 8am to 5 pm say on average... to make an update on what has happened during that time, takes only a minute % and it's standard in pretty much any business practice... it's also productive to share what you have been working on with other people.

Updating on progress is a healthy thing not only for the investors but also the developers.

have to say RISE team is better than waves team. wish RISE success!

We have a policiy of ensuring public communications and progress reports being delivered each working day (Monday to Friday), the time in which the coders are working during office hours, whilst always being accessible 24/7 in slack or via the forums.

Price has nothing to do with it being added so that is just bollox at best.

It will add it when it actually gets volume if at all and when the dev coughs up a nice amount of cash to get listed.

I'm not sure that it's possible to buy your way onto Poloniex although I could be totally wrong.

They are very hard people to speak with, where are their contact email addresses for example? Where is there Slack or IRC channel with Poloniex admins? Bittrex has all of that and the Bittrex team is open and readily available.

If it's question of having to talk with Poloniex team in the Trollbox it's not really the way I would like to kick off communications.
just bring to us a good client with function of creating  dapps on various programming languages  and polo will add you Smiley

That is exactly what we are working on! Smiley

i think RISE will entering poloniex after the DAPP builder ready

I would hope that poloniex adds us when they see that we are a serious project that is providing a unique take on the Lisk codebase (which itself was a clone of Crypti).

They have tons of clones already on their website such as EXP so no reason not to list Rise.

If Rise members could continue to reach out to them that could help us get noticed.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RISE | Building Blockchain Based App Development Environments on: August 01, 2016, 07:27:06 PM
"Rise - most of it is a copy of lisk" am i wrong?

Rise is absolutely a clone of Lisk and we've always been very clear about that.

In fact the original thread title contained the words "Lisk Clone".

However, our goal is to work on the lisk codebase independantly and go our own direction with it.

That means adding extra programming language support for multi languages including python, c# and ruby as opposed to offering node.js as the main language.

So whilst we are staying close to the Lisk codebase because we believe it's a solid foundation to start Rise platform, we also want to change things that will offer developers a more diverse platform with less restraints.

lol wtf is this?  Are they going to bust out Magic the Gathering cards and play during the lunch breaks?

Wait for Mondays announcement where we talk about the devs moving into actual office space (more than 99% of coins have).

The "kitchen office" was just a temp arrangement.

A post I made earlier in Slack today for those that didn't see.

We have some good news that we'll talk about Monday in terms of office space for the dev team... alongside introduction of the new "executive director" style person we have joining our forces (team) in order to help promote Rise for use in businesses and win contracts etc... Also on Monday there will be another dev update which I'm trying to ensure happens on a daily basis from Mon to Fri even if it's just a quick update it's nice to have constant and regular communications to understand what is going on.... I appreciate that it's difficult without hearing often from team members about progress so we are going to do our best to provide that as often as possible.

We only rise from here, with all these fixes coming out we may even surpass LISK  Cool

Lisk (Crypti) devs solved forging problems months ago, but Rise devs even dont know how to merge these commits into Rise git repo...

Perhaps you could be kind enough to explain why it is that people in the Lisk thread are still asking for forging to happen?
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RISE | ICO CLOSED | RISE WITHDRAWAL ENABLED | MAINNET LIVE | TRADING ON BITTREX on: July 28, 2016, 09:10:01 PM

It's the pre-coded rate of inflation in Rise, the block rewards are the incentive to have multiple delegates securing the network.

Over the next 5 years Rise has the following rate of inflation.

Year 1: 15 RISE per block, 115,768,000 Total coins with 15.77% annual inflation rate
Year 2: 12 RISE per block, 128,382,400 Total coins with 10.90% annual inflation rate
Year 3:   9 RISE per block, 137,843,200 Total coins with 7.37% annual inflation rate
Year 4:   6 RISE per block, 144,150,400 Total coins with 4.58% annual inflation rate
Year 5:   3 RISE per block, 147,304,000 Total coins with 2.19% annual inflation rate
Year 6+: 0 Rise per block and therefore 0% inflation.

At the end of the the fith year there is 0 block reward and transaction fees alone will sustain the network.

Rewards should only be enabled once the non-genesis delegates start to forge just like it's with LISK it's not fair to the community since you already reserved dev fund, got the ICO funds and now rewards from all the genesis delegates.

P.S. I'm not bitching just saying as an investor Wink

Agreed that the sooner we get the rewards going to public delegates the better. They were going to the public but we had to switch that back because of the forking issues.

Right now the rewards being generated by the genesis delegates will be put to use for the benefit of Rise by the way of bountys and promotional work, we could even create a public Rise pool where we place the funds (rise generated) and allow the community to decide how it gets spent. For example another signature bounty or twitter promotion and we vote to allocate 600,000 Rise for those purposes.

Faucets tend to raise awareness of a coin. I mean, that's a big part of how Bitcoin got started.

Well there you go there is one idea for how we can allocate some of the delegate funds we are holding.

Related to coding the delegate fix was a forum update posted by Justin recently:

Anyone thinking about buying at these prices or has this ship already sank?

i think powerfull people could buy already sank of small ship and tow it to shore

is there any maximum coin supply? it was 100.000.000coin before.. now already inflate 1million, meaning all investment already decreasing even more -1%

yes, first year inflation is 15%, justin lied to us, i thought it has 100m total supply but i was wrong, lost 6 btc on this shit, justin you scammer!!! Angry Angry

What is dev team doing with those 1700 BTC from ICO? They even don't support the price. They only need 750 - 800 BTC to buyback all the coins...

Edit : Are you complaining against dev too when you win 6 BTC on a coin?  Buy low, sell high.

we joint ico and we were screwed by these scammer devs, shame on them!  They lied about acre project, they lied about the total supply. Cry

This looks sketchy, is anyone mining or smth?

Latest news from Justin and the team posted on forum.rise.vision

http://forum.rise.vision/topic/13/dev-team-new-devs-new-machines-office-space

Quote
<Dev Team> New Devs, New Machines, Office Space
Hey all! It’s been a bit since you have heard from me, and I apologize for that. Here are some new updates from the Dev Team.

New Devs
They have been advising me, and allowing me to use them as a sounding board since the early stages of this project, but now they are officially on board.

Richard Hooper and Nathanael Burchill both started on Monday, and have been digging into the Rise-core code. They have already found multiple areas of potential optimization in the code base. They have also devised a potential method to prevent delegates from creating forks.

New Machines
All of our Devs got their own laptops so we can work whenever needed. Standard issue MacBook Pros. When working at our office, we also have 27" 1440p displays as primary displays. We also got in a couple of small servers to use as testing and automation servers.

Office Space
We have also been negotiating with a local Ecconomic growth council, trying to find decently prices office space. We may have found that, and if all goes well, should be working out of the space by early next week.

That’s all for now. Later today I’ll share more details of how we are going to fix delegate forking.

You have once again hire a coder?
that just prove our case, no one in your team doesn't even know how to code during the start of the ICO. and you just go ahead and start ICO campaign of the clone coin.

Even the best programmers need help for large projects.

Correct, there is tons of coding that needs to be done in order to complete the roadmap.

Having a single person attempt to do such a thing would stretch the project out for potentially 18 months and onwards.

Justin is the lead developer on Rise and he was with us from the start, he will be overseeing work undertaken by new developers that we take on which includes the two coders that joined yesterday, Richard and Nathan.

So to make the point clear, it's not because Justin can't do it on his own it's because it's faster and more constructive to have extra hands on board.

Rise featured in Cointelegraph:

https://t.co/Kpl1A6S5z4

Hmmmm.. So those many features listed in OP are not going exactly the way you want them to happen, because reality bites and your dev team is now finding out that implementing those is really not that easy based on the timeline that was put on the roadmap?

Main development is about to get a kickstart as there are two new devs about to join on Monday.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see some of the features on the Lisk vs Rise image.

If you look at the Rise vs Lisk image you will notice there is a key on it with certain features shown as "coming soon". They are on the roadmap.

I just wonder that rise is a clone of lisk, why lisk is stable but rise has so many issues?

You guys should be focus on stability first. And then, other projects, btw, waiting for long time is ok if they can be done, finally rise will rise.

We are focusing on stability first. Lisk doesn't have delegates running yet and we are focusing on getting Rise to have public delegates working without issue. That was not part of the schedule when we started but we are having to deal with it now as priority.

Update related to todays events and bittrex:

I asked Bittrex to suspend deposits and withdrawals today until we found out exactly why there was a server outage causing the blockchain to stop.

The following explantion was posted here:

http://forum.rise.vision/topic/8/rise-wallet-re-opened-at-bittrex-21st-july-2016

This highlights EXACTLY why we need delegates back into the public hands asap and running on multiple nodes.

Thanks for the understanding and patience while the development work is completed to make public delegates possible and stable again.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RISE | ICO CLOSED | RISE WITHDRAWAL ENABLED | MAINNET LIVE | TRADING ON BITTREX on: July 20, 2016, 10:42:38 PM
@Alty, are you in control of the progress of the project? As project manager, are you satisfied with the development progress and timeliness of the delivery?

We always want things to go faster, to get what we want faster, to not have to wait and instead get instant results.

That's because in reality events rarely go EXACLTY the way we want them to happen.

However, I'm fully confident that we will roll out the items listed on the roadmap and the team we have is only an asset to the project.

People can troll as much as they like but it won't stop us from doing what we set out to do, in the meantime there are plenty of people that will join us and support the project and contribute in positive ways.

To recap on recent news / events:

* Dedicated Rise Forum... forum.rise.vision
*Patch on the delegate issue that was causing forks is expected quite soon.
*Two full time developers about to start as well as Justin that is already full time.
*Exectutive director that has previous US government experience is joining with the mission to demonstrate the decentralized application platform we are building.
*Conferences are being lined up for later on in the year to make Rise better known in the public eye.

In summary, yes I would like to see development work happening at lightening speed but what matters to me most is seeing the overall progress on a day to day basis, and it's happening believe me. The tempo will pick up in August with a higher frequency of Rise Core Development updates.

Twitter is 176.83465959 RISE

1 Part Sig is 493.21824908 RISE
So that was a waste of time tweeting then as the value of RISE is so small. The problem is the amount of accounts with less than 100 followers when some had 5k and more and get the same.I won't even message to collect mine.
I agree that the distribution of Twitter bounties could be better. A fairer approach would be to have it  as a percentage of the sum of followers of all participants.

It was a difficult one to decide because if we had provided shares based on twitter follower totals it was open to abuse.

I.e twitter followers can be bought or gained for next to nothing.

We decided that we wouldn't have the time to verfiy if people had cheated by using fake followers or not, therefore it was simplified.
