Can someone help me make this a bit more sense and less like a scam.  As always people are trying to make the " Staking " or " Masternode " feature make sense if the investment is large enough you earn coins a day or month for your investment.  Yet out of the thousands of coins everything seems to be bullshit.  I bought .0022 bitcoin worth of beans at 3 satoshi yet I can only sell at 2 satoshi since I sinstantly lose over 30% value perhaps you can make this make more sense and increase the buy to 3 satoshi or perhaps increase my weighted staking to 60% a month. Why does everyone make so many posts about these things and enevitably all alt coins seem to be a scam other than bitcoin.  So I gave you some value can you make this work?  I feel cheated every time I try to invest in a altcoin.  Why is everything a scam?

Not all coins are a scam. That said, bitbean isn't exactly a top notch coin there. And the lead dev is basically bonkers, assuming the same fellow is in charge who was lead around 6 months ago.

As for buying at 3, and then only finding orders willing to buy at 2 ... that's how buy/sells work on exchanges. If you wanted to buy at 2, then you should have put in an order at 2. Don't buy at 3, then notice there are no buy orders at that price and then complain about it.

You only put in like $15, so it's not like a huge loss. Consider it a learning experience. And just hold onto the beans if you don't want to take a loss -- maybe some day the price will rise. Or collapse... who knows... again, we are talking about a mighty $15. I recall some fellow in bean chat commenting how he lost 90K because the bean dev wouldn't bother getting the coin on other exchanges before bittrex delisted. He has a right to complain... a $15 order from someone apparently new to exchanges and prices, not so much.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about Hedera Hashgraph? on: December 20, 2019, 08:12:45 PM

People FOMO buying HBAR will be sore losers, Seed investors will keep dumping as they've gotten their share for $0.001 I believe. HH isn't any special there are way better blockhains that can outpace HH in many ways, The only special about HH is their partnerships.

I thought there was a lockup for 4 years for early investors, but just reading now that I think they changed that so it's a slow payout over the first year. So yeah, seed investors may be dumping for a while. I'm reading their buy-in was around .003-.005, which is a pretty nice profit even at current low prices. A lot was given away for free for developer work too.

Although I also see a ton sold at around .12, but I guess if those folks haven't sold yet, they are kind of stuck for now.

So it may play out like a bounty situation, where everyone who got cheap or free coin will be dumping, but in this case it may take like a year for the total dump to finish. Early investors will be in profit pretty much no matter how low the coin goes (unless it goes insanely low).

OMG... I cant understand hy people went into such projects which are raising so crazy money and selling tokens totheir friends under the table with crazy doscounts...
And its only 2% of all tokens in circulating now.. what happens when all tokens will be unlocked?

Comes across a bit like a pyramid scheme. But that's sort of what all early investor projects look like. I guess it just looks worse here because of the bear market + lockup terms changed.

And yeah, once all of the tokens are in circulation, things may not look so pretty.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Altcoins getting Boycotted? on: December 11, 2019, 10:42:19 PM
Boycotted is too strong a word, but until we see some upward movement with alts, not so sure investors will exactly flock back to altcoins. It'd also help if BTC at least inched forward a little bit ... instead it seems to be falling back.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Should Binance cease margin trading on illiquid altcoins? on: December 11, 2019, 10:40:24 PM
I don't think Matic had anything to do with margin trading, but yeah, it's probably not a bad idea to cease margin trading on coins without liquidity. The market is already volatile enough as it is. Even BTC can swing crazy from margin trades sometimes ... not sure how little dinky coins could handle it.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Expectations for year 2020 on: December 11, 2019, 10:36:15 PM
If BTC was a bit higher now and the alt market not so dire, I'd probably have a rosier expectation for 2020. As it is now, I expect BTC to follow LTC's halvening pattern, meaning any boost in price will be priced in earlier than expected ... afterwards expect a fall. And as for alts... who knows... I'd like to think it can't be as bad as the past two years have been.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: As Per Crypto Expert Will Litecoin Coin Price Reach $1,500 by 2019 on: December 11, 2019, 10:33:57 PM
Well!! Did you know?

George Tung, A Cryptocurrency Analyst, Claims That Litecoin Will Reach $1,500 Towards The End Of 2019. Brian Kelly, The Head Of BK Capital Management (LLC), Is Sure We Might Witness An LTC Price Of $500 Or Even $600 By The End Of This Year. Though Conservative, This Approach Seems To Be Close To Reality.
https://coinpedia.org/information/ltc-litecoin-price-prediction/

What's your take on this?

Seems realistic to me, just as McAfee's predictions have been spot on.

The real takeaway is that no prediction from anyone at all is worth anything. Never has been.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another flash crash day! on: December 11, 2019, 10:30:15 PM
I knew MATIC would dump. The price increased by over 300% in the last 2 months. Crypto Twitter moonboys got on board and bought the top. Most of my friends were cut pants down due to the flash crash. Anybody who didn't use a trailing stop during the pump should be bitter now. Aside from MATIC, Other Binance Launchpad tokens dumped more than 15%. I'm not surprised as they all did at least 50% recently. Bitcoin is volatility, with alts, It's even higher.
It wasn't surprising at all knowing the price pumped 300% in the past months, what would you expect to happen on the price? Altcoins does not do so much, in fact the 300% pump is a fortunate event on altcoin these days it maybe came from the whales on that community that plays along with the small ones.  Actually it is not just the MATIC that dumped, many altcoins dumped too due to the seasonal changes keep in mind that it is December, people needs money for some reason.

The dump wasn't that unusual, just the speed of it kind of was. Typically when coins dump like half their value, it tends to at least take a couple of days or a week or so. At least for coins with any real volume, dinky alts can pump 3x and crash 3x in like an afternoon.

I just hope we don't see another bear (or super-bear, I guess, as we are already pretty bearish) market due to IEOs all crumbling to pieces, dragging down the entire market even further.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Alt projects to take off in 2020 on: December 11, 2019, 01:22:01 AM
"Project has a NEW and REAL use case"

Right there is a pretty tough rule, as only a handful of coins have a real use case to begin with. I don't define exchange coins, or coins that could be used as cash (but isn't).... or copycat etheriums, as real world use cases.

So beats me what project qualifies and actually looks like it has a chance to succeed.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another flash crash day! on: December 11, 2019, 01:18:39 AM
The size of that type of dump isn't unusual, but the speed kind of is, at least for a coin in the top 100. I suppose some whales got cold fins and decided to dump all of their holdings... probably IEO holders who thought it was time to cash out.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Altcoins getting Boycotted? on: December 11, 2019, 12:04:38 AM

Bitcoin dominance is above 65% which is something unusual ...

Bitcoin dominance over 65% is not unusual. It is total normal. I believe its place is between 55% and 75%.  Bitcoin dominance was for long time over 90%. Thinking that at 65% is unusual is a bit silly.

Agreed. I think just in comparison to altcoin seasons, it seems a bit odd.

What does seem unusual however is the almost complete lack of any real upwards movement for any alts (I'm not counting the little coins that do their pump thing). The entire market has been pretty stagnant or in decline. I remember years ago that even in bear markets, we'd at least see the occasional coin do the 10x thing once in a while. Nowadays 2x seems like a miracle.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good advice or bad advice? on: December 11, 2019, 12:00:18 AM
It's pretty difficult to assume history will repeat in the same fashion. Sure, some coins may be worth a lot years from now, but at the same time they may basically vanish. It's not a bad idea to hold onto at least something, just that I would say consider it lost money.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people compare it to 2000's dot com bust if that bust killed most companies? on: December 10, 2019, 11:55:59 PM
and most scary part is that those holders hold just to cash out, so the moment it reaches new ATH, most of them will probably sell 100% of their stash

since majority of people  hold altcoins with such intent, how they will get other people who will buy it from them?

For many coins that means they will never reach their ATH again.  So if whales pump a coin, they may get some new investors just based on that pump ... but whales will dump early knowing they have earlier holders patiently waiting to dump as well.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are airdrops safe? on: December 10, 2019, 03:27:46 AM
If an airdrop requires KYC, I wouldn't bother with it. In fact, it's probably not worth bothering regardless, as most of the time the coins end up being close to worthless.

I guess one exception might be the energi airdrop, but not sure if they plan to do any more of those.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: waiting for altcoin season might take time on: December 10, 2019, 12:47:36 AM
It's safe to say we aren't going to see much of an alt season just yet. Perhaps 2020 after the halvening, although it'd be nice if we at least saw some positive movement before then. I think ETH will be the primary factor ... if it goes up, alts might follow.
35  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best Free Movie Streaming Platforms in 2019 on: December 09, 2019, 08:39:37 PM
For folks looking for free movie streaming, check if your local library supports Kanopy. It's a pretty decent service. It won't have blockbusters, but it carries a lot of independent and smaller films, some are very good. Usually you get a monthly limit, but I think my library gives me around 10 films a month for free.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrencies are highly undervalued these days? on: December 09, 2019, 08:36:55 PM
The thing is, nobody can say what is undervalued or not, since prices are mostly based on speculation, not real world use. So folks could claim most crypto is still overvalued ... and nobody could even say they were wrong.

Personally I think good coins (top 5-10) are undervalued, and there are some gems within the top 100, but that doesn't mean much really. BTC remains king, everything else is too tied into BTC prices to really stand on their own yet.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people compare it to 2000's dot com bust if that bust killed most companies? on: December 09, 2019, 08:34:06 PM
Although there may be some similarities to the 2000s dot com bust, there are some key differences too. First off, a coin doesn't actually need a market or income to just keep chugging along ... unlike companies that kind of go out of business. There are tons of semi-comatose coins out there, with or without developers, not quite dead, and still sold on exchanges. So I'm not sure that most coins will exactly die, just that many will stumble along in a zombie state so long as exchanges exist.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Altcoins not Growing These Days on: December 09, 2019, 08:29:18 PM
Probably too many newcomers lost money during 2018, so they are a bit wary of reinvesting into crypto right now. We'll need to wait for whales to make their move -- if they start pushing up alts, then other money may begin to flow in.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts with no liquidity on exchanges on: December 09, 2019, 08:25:10 PM
Probably not the wisest move to invest in coins with little no liquidity. One exception may be for newer coins with both low volume and low liquidity, as perhaps as time goes on both will pick up. But if you see high volume + low liquidity, you know the numbers are faked. The sad thing is that even for 'good' coins we see a lot of wash trading.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Flippening - what are your thoughts? on: December 07, 2019, 10:02:21 AM
I don't foresee ETH ever overtaking BTC. Now it may do well (and hopefully better than currently) but there is too much ground to make up to surpass BTC. A flippening of sorts is always possible years from now, but it'd likely have to be a coin not even introduced yet.
