21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Swap crypto or sell first then buy? on: May 17, 2024, 12:57:49 AM
I have a few altcoins that are doing pretty well and want to take profits soon to then reinvest into other altcoins that haven’t pumped yet and I am wondering if it is best to swap directly or sell my altcoin that is doing well into fiat and then buy the new altcoin I want with the fiat?
You can try to click on Swap and see how much you will get after selling at that time, after paying swap fee (on chain transaction fee and slippage fee). And you can compare it to what you will get if you sell one altcoin to fiat or stable coin, and swap stable coin to another new altcoin.

Usually altcoins don't have direct trading pair for you to swap directly and if they have a pair for swapping, if liquidity pool is low, you will lose with bigger slippage.

Be clear between fiat currency and stable coin. In cryptocurrency, it is more convenient if you swap your altcoins to stable coin, and swap stable coin to other altcoins. Selling to fiat currency is less convenient and maybe can relate to tax too.
22  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to become a successful trader on: May 17, 2024, 12:53:17 AM
As a successful trader, you should focus on the process instead of the money, because the process is the must important thing for you to get more experience in it, and once you are focus it you never lose your money in trading, so as successful trader you must always be fucus on the process of your trading, for you to get a good profit.
The process can be one to failure, loss or one to success and profit. A successful trader firstly need to succeed to secure his original trading fund, avoid to lose it or minimize loss of original fund. It relates to risk management and also greed, patience to wait for safer and better entries that help to reduce risk, severity of possible loss and increase chance to get profit.

You can get good profit with one or some tradings but if you don't have safe risk and capital management like I share, later with one or some failed tradings, you will lose your temporary profit and even worse lose most of your original trading fund.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: May 16, 2024, 12:05:15 PM
Leverkusen's last match in bundesliga is on May 18 and the finals of Europa league is on May 22nd. They don't need to rest any of their players and would come with full force on both matches to achieve a win. They have another match in DFB-Pokal final at May 25th and that could be the last match of this season so they'll again go on full force. Not being defeated in bundesliga and the europena championship is a never achieved feat and they'll do their best to get that.
I believe Leverkusen will try to not lose in their last match in Bundesliga but I also believe that they are smart enough to not use all their main players for that unimportant match. The unbeaten record is amazing and maintain it for one more match looks interesting but Leverkuse do know that they will have a more important match 4 days later, Europa League final match.

They will reserve most of their main players for that final match and it's because of many reasons, the opponent is strong and has very good form recently, and Leverkusen actually want to win the title. DFB-Pokal is another title they will aim at but it is not as same important as Europa League title because it's harder to win Europa League title than DFB-Pokal.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe someone knows who the address belongs to? on: May 16, 2024, 11:58:40 AM
Do you want to say that the person who received that money may have spent/withdrew it from CEX and that this could be a problem in the event that customer support contacts him and informs him that it would be desirable to return what obviously does not belong to him? That might even make sense, because there might be some new complications for all involved parties, and CEX in this way (by doing nothing) is actually letting everything go into oblivion, even though it would be ethical for them to try to resolve this situation between two clients.

It is even possible that the person who received the coins by mistake wants to do the right thing, but also fails to find out to whom the coins should be returned.
I completely agree with you that if the CEX and their support staffs show some kind of actual intention of support for the user in trouble, it is better for their exchange brand.

I guess you understand my post well enough but let me explain more. If that user used the mistakenly sent money for things like Margin tradings, Futures trading and already lost most or all of that money, it is now impossible to return it.

I don't know in case if it is brought to the court, will that person has to refund it to zazarb. It can be order by the court but if the person was already bankrupted, no way to get any sort of refund, big or small, all or part of initial fund.
25  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: May 16, 2024, 02:33:57 AM
That's right, Xabi Alonso must ensure that his players are not careless about the various praises they receive, as well as the various expectations placed on them, this can be a very dangerous psychological poison.
It will not be big problems in remaining matches this season because Leverkusen players will actually want to win two more titles and will play with their best. The challenge will appear in a next season when their players will be more sensitively vulnerable with praises for their success in this season. Leverkusen will also face with big challenge from bigger clubs, to convince their players to stay with them.

Quote
Apart from one remaining match in the Bundesliga, Xabi Alonso will definitely prioritize his focus in facing the final match versus Atalanta. If you look at the situation, I think Leverkusen is very lucky, because Atalanta is not as strong as we imagine, the Serie A representative just suffered defeat in the Coppa Italia final against Juventus.
Meeting Atalanta at the final is interesting but quite challenging and unpredictable for Leverkusen. Because Atalanta are similar to Leverkusen, their players will want to win a big title like Europa League and it's hard to measure their ambition and severity of playing they will put into the final match. With an underdog team like Atalanta, it's harder for Leverkusen to assess the opponent's strength and prepare tactics to deal with Atalanta.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe someone knows who the address belongs to? on: May 15, 2024, 09:58:49 AM
Finally answer from support , even takes away the possibility of contacting that person Sad

“If the account doesn't belong to you, we are sorry to inform you that we are unable to do anything since the deposit has credited to the account. Kindly inform we cannot disclose the information of that particular account.“
The answer is disappointed for you but I think it is a fair and frank answer from the support staff.

It is common that any company has their responsibility to secure information of their customers. Except only if the government, police knocks their doors with official requirements on that company to share information about a customer.

Just think as not a victim, like an email to that exchange, ask the same thing, and they give me personal information of your account, it is like doxing their customer information. It's terrible and irresponsible company.

I know this is a hard loss for you but no other way than accept it.

@zazarb, there is no doubt that it is your fault that the coins ended up at the wrong address, but it is also difficult to understand that that CEX does not want to do something as simple as sending an e-mail to the owner of the account where your coins ended up.
It is a good idea but there will be different situations with it.

If that user lost a lot of money, does not have enough money for return the coin to zazarb, it will be the end of this case.

If that exchange tries to support zazarb like your solution, it looks good and they actually care about customer.
27  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 15, 2024, 09:54:22 AM
I still don't feel Haaland is one of the most important player in the Manchester City squad, to me he's a distraction that some clubs don't really get (in terms of marking) and the game last night, Haaland did make up to 20 touches and yet some thinks he's a big game player, that's an argument for another day.
Haaland is an important piece and helpful for Manchester City to have some other options in attacking and scoring goals. He is a pure traditional striker and it looks not logic to see Pep decided to buy Haaland. Manchester City actually operated well without any traditional striker five seasons before the last one and they won four Premier League titles. I believe Pep wanted Haaland to get title in Champions League and he got it last season.

This season looks not too impressive for Haaland even he will be a best scorer in Premier League again, because in Champions League he disappeared in important matches. I really doubt that Haaland will be able to upgrade himself a lot with skills he has so far.

Quote
Pep is not ready to celebrate yet because they have West Ham on the last day, for now they're very close to the title while Arsenal are still going to hope on West Ham but at the same time they need to win their game against Everton which I think is going to be difficult
Last matches for both Arsenal and Manchester City and they will try to win their own match, with Arsenal they must win their match without any thinking about the match of Manchester City. I really hope that this season will have a dramatic ending like many years ago when Manchester City won Premier League at very last minutes against Manchester United.
28  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Don't get it twisted on: May 15, 2024, 09:43:05 AM
My friends and I were having discussions about the upcoming US election and one of them said that if Trump is elected there will be many more scams in crypto space, and I can't help but think about how many people will be thinking the same, especially those who are new to crypto.

So don't get it twisted, if Trump gets elected as the new president it won't erase regulations in the crypto space,
Scammers are there in societies globally for centuries and one USA. President can not stop them, even he wants to stop them. That discussion sucks at the point, how Trump elected will trigger more scams in crypto space.

I am not Trump fan but I don't see any logic in this discussion against Trump and predictive bad impacts from his presidency if he gets elected again.

Scammers spread from stocks, real estates, many industries, many branches and recent years, they join Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. We could not prevent them to participate in this space in the past and can not do it in future. More or less, there will still be a lot of scammers in this space.
29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: May 14, 2024, 02:29:43 AM
I hope he does, as it's going to be an intensive week for them: the last league game on Sat 18th, Europa League final on Wed 22nd and the DFB Pokal final on Sat 25th to finish the season off.
There's a risk of resting too many key players though. If Leverkusen were to lose to Augsburg, that could crush the team spirit, just before the EL final.
The last game in Bundesliga is no longer important for Leverkusen and they even can sacrifice it, lose it to aim at two bigger targets, two titles in Europa League and DFB Pokal cup.

Being unbeaten in Bundesliga is impressive but if they have to pay it with cost of key player injuries, it does not worth to pay. Two titles in Europa League and DFB Pokal will be enough to make this season as a most successful one in Leverkusen's history. If they end Bundesliga unbeaten but won't win two titles in Europa League and DBF Pokal, it will make this season is not too successful for them.

Quote
Atalanta is in a bit tougher spot when it comes to resting time. They play the Copa Italia final against Juventus and then an away league game against Lecce on Saturday. And their 5th place in the league is still not secured, so they have to approach it seriously.
Atalanta are ready for the final match with Leverkusen by a preparation in Serie A, beating Roma in a direct match and secure their fifth position. They will highly be qualified for Champions League with the fifth position and will aim at the final match with Leverkusen very confidently.

Leverkusen are unbeaten so far and managed to escape many defeats but facing with a strong and dangerous opponent like Atalanta, in a final match, they must be very careful.
30  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dips are temporary but Bitcoin is forever. on: May 14, 2024, 02:13:08 AM
Since Bitcoin, like other cryptocurrencies, is prone to price volatility, it undoubtedly experiences DIPs, which is a natural aspect of the market as a whole. Indeed, DIP and its depth may occur due to many factors that may cause this, and this temporary price correction for Bitcoin or altcoins presents a good opportunity for entry and investment at a low price. However, we must also consider technical and fundamental analysis.
This article is years ago and I don't see the author to update it but the meaning you get from this article is still the same. It's because Bitcoin still does not change its reactions after dips.

Bitcoin's historical corrections from all time highs.

With bigger market cap over recent years, corrections and dips tend to become smaller and fortunately, with bigger trading volume and more available exchanges, nowadays, people are more easily to purchase and sell their bitcoin.

Quote
Buying a dip is an excellent decision to increase our Bitcoin holdings and achieve profits when the price rebounds again to the rise.
It is only true if people use their own money to buy bitcoin and don't escalate their positions with leverages. Using leverages will put "Buying a f*** dip" is no longer a good idea and safe practice. Because with leverages, risk becomes much bigger and dips can be nightmare with liquidations.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Share your top mistakes in crypto - learning from others experiences! on: May 14, 2024, 02:06:25 AM
There are many mistakes that we make when we first get to know crypto and that happens naturally because we are still in the early stages of being here. Generally, we make almost the same mistake of storing coins or bitcoins on a centralized exchange so we don't care about the level of security of the assets we own. Buying meme coins just to expect huge profits and in reality it will end up losing value and we get nothing from the purchase.
It's always true to be cautious with centralized exchanges and be responsible for our methods to store our bitcoin.

Furthermore we do not have the ability to analyze bitcoin and more often than not use unqualified predictions about its journey. In the end we learn from mistakes and try to provide knowledge for maturity in thinking and I'm sure most of us made the same mistakes at the start.
Even senior investors who are in the market for years, don't predict the market price movements because with their experience, they know that all predictions are wrong and can not help their investment portfolio.

History is important and they can analyze past cycles, how a bear market ends and how a new bull market starts, how a big bull run usually lasts. From all of these analyses from past records, they can build up their investment strategy within one market cycle, about 4 years, or longer, but they don't predict the market. Making predictions is for newbies who don't have enough experience and usually have high belief that they are 'smart' enough to make correct predictions.
32  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dips are temporary but Bitcoin is forever. on: May 13, 2024, 04:39:40 PM
In fact, Bitcoin's correction is an indicator that Bitcoin is very healthy. Imagine if the price continued to rise without decreasing for some time, of course what would happen would be that the price of Bitcoin could fall freely, even like a shitcoin that keeps going high and ends up having no value at all.
It's hard to differentiate a price fall is a healthy correction, a terrible crash, a death spiral. Market will tell us what that price fall is but it takes some time, delayed time for us to know the fact about that. At the moment of price fall, it's hard for a market participant and decide to hold, panic sell or don't do anything, it's not easy.

Luckily Bitcoin already has a long enough history, went through some bear markets, big market tests, and it is still here. I agree that if we need a strongest cryptocurrency, it's only Bitcoin.

Quote
the adoption of blockchain technology also greatly influences the price of bitcoin compared to just rumors and viral news. In fact, this adoption makes Bitcoin last longer than just hype.
Adoption is important to bring more people as users, investors, traders into this market. This helps Bitcoin has very sustainable growth in trading volume, trading price and through adoption, Bitcoin will have more use cases that will help it to gain higher value.

34  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 13, 2024, 12:05:14 PM
Leverkusen's season is a f***ing masterpiece. Unbeaten is their goal, and it shows. Bayern Munich? Tied. Other top contenders? Managed them. Augsburg? It's an easy win on paper, but these men don't play lightly. New standards from Leverkusen. They dominate, not just play. Every player is tuned, every tactic calculated. And it works. The final game against Augsburg will be electric. Watch them bring the same intensity and fire to end the season unblemished. It shows their determination, grit, and insistence on excellence
This season is actually a masterpiece for Leverkusen, only once in their club history. They are perfectionize it with 50 unbeaten matches and they are counting down very last matches of season to complete this season with a perfect unbeaten record and three titles. Two more final matches and if they win it, they will have two more unbeaten matches but more important, two more titles.

In Leverkusen history, they had one season with Michael Ballack, Ze Roberto, with chances to win three titles but that season ended like nightmare for Leverkusen, without any single title. Now, they have chance to make a different ending, perfect one.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost Bitcoin and possible future scarcity on: May 12, 2024, 05:45:58 AM
How many bitcoins are lost?
Lost Bitcoin: 3.7 million Bitcoin are probably gone forever
What happens to lost bitcoins?

People have estimations on lost bitcoins that is about 3 - 4 million bitcoins but let's see
Old Bitcoin wallets keep waking up: How many of the 1.8 million ‘lost’ coins are really gone?

I don't mind how many bitcoins lost in accurate number because I know we never knows that number, but I know I received donation from people lost their bitcoins.
Lost coins only make everyone else's coins worth slightly more.  Think of it as a donation to everyone.
36  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Understanding dormant wallets for beginners on: May 12, 2024, 05:35:45 AM
Dormant wallets are not dead wallets or lost wallets even most of them are lost wallets. The fact is we never know how many dormant wallets, addresses, and bitcoins stored in those dormant addresses, wallets already lost forever.

We only can guess that people who own those dormant wallets, either already died or lost their computers, laptops, disks, backups, and have other ways to recover their wallets. However there are people who will succeed to recover their dormant wallets or they have been always had access to those wallets recent years, just don't wake up and make any transactions.

37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: A Bitcoin wallet that allows any low fee... on: May 11, 2024, 03:51:05 AM
Which Bitcoin wallet(not Bitcoin Core) allows users to send any fee?
Lets say I want to send a transaction with $0.01 fee or 0.00000001.
You must understands basics about Bitcoin transactions and transaction fee.

Transaction fee depends on two main factors: transaction size, and fee rate.

Transaction size depends on your inputs, transaction address, transaction type, ...
Fee rate is what you set when broadcasting your transaction. Fee rate is in satoshi/ byte or satoshi/ vbyte.

If you understand, you will see there will be nothing to be set during broadcasting a transaction process, relates to $. It means there is no wallet that can allow you to set your transaction fee in $.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can't mixed cons be deposited into a centralized exchange on: May 11, 2024, 03:47:39 AM
Why is that the case? Does a mixer try to follow the entire way of Bitcoin funds, and if the "path" is intransparent,
mixing is not performed?
There are 21 million bitcoins ever exist and those coins can be circulated on the market. Very old bitcoins from Satoshi Nakamoto era can still be used today and coins can be used as inputs, outputs for anonymity sets in mixing process. After that, outputs will be tainted by chain analysis and centralized exchanges that are strongly against mixed coins. Because centralized exchanges have to obey laws, AML, and what happened with Binance, Kucoin recent months are big red flags for centralized exchanges to be stricter against their customer deposits.

You can understand more about tainted coins with this video.

39  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading psychology and TA on: May 11, 2024, 03:42:27 AM
Bear market is indeed the good time to buy, most new traders don't understand it early and end up buying at the highs. These can be prevented by dummy trading in the start. But regular profits might not be possible, intermittent is the proper term to use.
I am not against this truth because the truth is accurate. If people have money, and have long term plans for investment, a bear market is very good or can consider as best period to accumulate Bitcoin.

However, there is another truth, that I would like to say, Bitcoin is a very solid investment asset, with very good ROI in history, so in either bear market or bull market, if you are an investor with long term plan, the bear market is still very good period for you to accumulate Bitcoin.

Because by having long term plan for your investment, you don't aim at buying and taking profit, exiting the market after some months or just one year. It's what I want to say, zoom out and build up your long term plan.
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF good or bad? on: May 10, 2024, 09:01:28 AM
ETFs got approved months ago, so I think we can already see their influence. In terms of adoption, I think it just created new demand for Bitcoin (indirectly), as those people who invest in the traditional market became more open to investing in Bitcoin via such mechanisms. Bitcoin ETFs grew really fast, but it seems that they're now slowing down.
Bitcoin Spot ETF investors are institutional investors but they need time to understand more about this market. They are less likely doing their investment without due diligent research and don't react emotionally like retail investors. However, they certainly are affected by market trend on how they spend their capital. It's always easier to spend money, to invest in a bull market than in a bear market. It's true from stock markets to cryptocurrency market.

Quote
In terms of the price, Bitcoin got a nice bump in Q4, 2023, due to anticipation of ETF approvals. And then this year, we've seen it going from $43k to over $70k.
So I'd say that the impact is positive, but I also don't think ETFs will be a game changer in terms of Bitcoin global adoption.
I believe from adoption growth, demand increase, we will see long term impacts on Bitcoin price. It will be shown on trading volume and trading price but it will be long term impacts and need time to show.
