801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: RFK Jr Says He Purchased Bitcoin For His Kids on: July 27, 2023, 04:10:24 AM
Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr has always been outspoken about his support for cryptocurrencies. The 2024 presidential candidate has time and again made promises outlining the policies that he will enact if he is elected to power, including some targeting Bitcoin. However, RFK revealed Wednesday that he has actually purchased Bitcoin, 2 BTC for each of his seven children.
RF. Kenedy Jr. has spy agents in Bitcointalk and he knew such stories are interesting and attractive, then applied it on Twitter,  now X platform.

Why should he share his stories that he purchased bitcoin for himself and for his children? To get more attention from the USA. citizens and to make this promise to protect Bitcoin and cryptocurrency industry if he is elected as a President or at least elected as a preresentative of the Republic party for the President election.

2 BTC for each of his seven children and he bought 14 BTC for his children. How many BTC he has for himself, his wife ?

His story is nothing if no evidence of his purchases is shown but I know he has enough money to buy 14 BTC.

I like this guy and I think he would be a good president however I just don’t think that he will get enough support.
Yes, he knew it too and it forced him to build up such stories then sharing them.

I agree merit system must be in because it works.

Less activity maybe, but way fewer one-line, zero-value posts.
Excuse me but not all long posts are quality.

I agree that one-line posts are mostly zero-value but not all of them are zero-value. About long posts, not all of them are better in quality. It can be plagiarized posts, AI posts or long posts without good ideas inside. The posters only expand their posts to disguise their shitposts.

805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can a person buy a hardware wallet where crypto is ban? on: July 25, 2023, 03:27:35 PM
If cryptos are illegal in your country to a point where it's illegal to own them, and the consequences can be a confiscation of funds and/or prison time and/or a significant fine, I don't think it's a good idea to buy a hardware wallet. I mean, it's likely possible to get one, but that's going to be incriminating evidence in such a country because if a person has a wallet, the authorities have a good reason to suspect that this person also has cryptos.
The world has yet come to that point and I never read anywhere, in any nation that a person was arrested because of owning a hardware wallet or store Bitcoin, cryptocurrency at home. Nothing is serious like that so far but if I am living in nations like North Korea, I will be more careful. As I understood, in North Korea, you can be arrested and killed anytime for any reason the government is against you.

Quote
So I side with those recommending a good non-custodial online wallet like Electrum if your choice is to keep and use cryptos in that country.
It is a good advice. Hardware wallet is not the only choice for us. Electrum wallet and other good open source, self custody wallets can help us to use free and don't have to buy a hardware wallet. It is important if buying a hardware wallet is risky for you.
806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 25, 2023, 11:37:18 AM
About Mbappe to Barcelona yes it isn't possible at all for now. However in case Mbappe signs for Al-Hilal for a season then Barcelona would have some more time to make their finances better. But it is still doubtful if they can make things very positive in only one season. Even if they do they should get rid of possible obstacles due to FFP rules on one hand. After that they can start making bigger signings just like in the old times. But still this feels like daydreaming for me.  Grin

Mbappe must have even made up his mind about joining Real Madrid forces next season. Even if the conditions are available it would still be quite hard for Barcelona to convince him I think.
It is impossible by many reasons.

Barcelona don't have hundred of million dollar to buy Mbappe. They don't have deep pocket to pay him high salary. They already have a good striker Lewandowski and they are not better than PSG so they can not help the player satisfies his ambition to win Champions League. If Mbappe has to choose PSG or Barcelona, he will surely pick PSG.

Why does Mbappe need to choose Barcelona when he has three better options?

He can either stay in PSG, move to Madrid or move to Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia. They are all better options than Barcelona in this summer and maybe next several seasons. If we don't consider about difference in salary offers, only consider about chances to win Champions League. It's fair to say Barcelona does not have better chance than PSG as Xavi will need more seasons to build up a winning team in Champions League and he needs luckiness to win it too.

As long as you reach the minimum withdrawal limit and you can withdraw, that shouldn't really be a problem at all. I know that it looks like it's something designed to keep you gambling, and it is designed that way for sure but doesn't mean that you need to lose money for it neither. It just means that it was designed for you to keep gambling, but if you end up winning and withdrawing then that works too, the road for that is opened and you can do that right now.
I believe if anyone create an account for gamble, actually gambling, they can meet that criteria easily. I also see that criteria is designed to avoid money laundering through Fortune Jack and it makes sense.

The bottom line can be used against complains is those users mostly don't spend a few minutes to search in FAQs, Terms of Services for the casino terms about withdrawals. If they do, they will know about the terms and decide to deposit or not so that they will have no reason to complain about withdrawal conditions.
809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: July 24, 2023, 02:06:31 AM
Then PSG must be the dumbest club ever if they didn't want to lose money on Mbappe but only agreed a mere 2 years renewal plus option for one year (which is up to the player) deal with him prior, now I don't understand what the club problem is, the player said he will honor is contractual terms and agreement reached by playing out his contract but doesn't want another renewal, how is that supposed to be an issue ? except for club who is already well known to always using awful theatrics to hold players against their will.
They already learned a hard lesson by signing a new contract with Mbappe in the last summer. If they did not digest that lesson well and repeat that stupid decision again, in this summer, by signing another short term contract like 2 years with Mbappe, I have no word to say about them. They are on top of stupid management by wasting too much money for one player while they can not control anything next two seasons.

Quote
PSG turned down several bids last season for Mbappe even when the player had to implored them to sell him and let him go, they had all the opportunity to sell him them but they must have felt cocky and untouchable because of their money, now it's a threat against the player renew or get sold.
Situations of Mbappe and PSG versus Kane and Tottenham are opposite. Mbappe controls everything while Kane can not control anything in Tottenham. Two star players, two different clubs and two opposite stories. Will they both leave their clubs in this summer?
810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: July 24, 2023, 02:00:42 AM
Saudi teams won't hesitate to signed players who are ready tk exits european football. They are pursuing any player they believe is valuable in European football. Al Nassr is the leading team in terms of player signings this season, having spent massive sums on players this summer and still intending to spend more.
They are very rich and don't have to think too much about money spending if it matches with their national strategies for developments of sports, economics and other aspects in their nation. So far looks like Saudi Professional League has such great support from their government and they will look around Europe to buy as best players as they can with their budgets.

Quote
Ousmane Dembele is a top-tier frontline player for the blaugrana, and losing him this summer would be devastating. Xavi Hernandez has included the Frenchman in his plans for next season, and despite his severe injuries, I believe he will recover, as he usually does.
Dembele moved to Barcelona with a very high cost transfer from Dortmund but he made a lot of disappointment there. Only since Xavi appearance in Barcelona, Dembele improved his performance, fitness and professional so that he gradually gains a solid position in Barcelona which is a foundation for him to be called for French national squad.

However with player like Dembele, I guess he will not reject chances from Saudi Arabia if he can earn lot of money there.

Regardless of the reasons why some Arab Pro League teams spend so much money to recruit top players, the bottom line is that it has attracted a lot of public attention towards them. The Arab Pro League is expected to be more competitive as these teams have built up quality teams with some quality players who used to be top players in European competition, that's good from a competitive standpoint.
You are right about the bottom line, which I wrote above too. Latest changes in Saudi Professional League have potential to change a lot of things in Saudi Arabia and I really believe that it was shed a green light from Saudi Arabian government too.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema are first two biggest bricks to help the league becomes more exciting and get more attraction from Europe. The league matches already are broadcasted on many European television channels and it is beginning. After this summer, the league will get more contracts with Television, communication companies from Europe.
811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lost access to my bitcoin wallet... on: July 23, 2023, 03:47:13 AM
We got people out there that are able to repair or at the very least retrieve data from spent or broken hard drives plus technically the wallet's not entirely on your hard drive especially if it's saved on a program like Electrum where you can retrieve it using the private keys.
.
If you use a wallet software, on your devices, you will have two ways to recover. Accessing the wallet file with or without password, that depends on whether your wallet file is encrypted or not encrypted with password. A more easily way to recover it is to have a wallet seed or a private key which you can use anytime to import it without needs to have a wallet file password.

Because any digital file, any physical device can have technical problems and become unusable, you must back up your wallets with wallet seeds and private keys. You will always have ability to recover your wallets with such backups. Relying on hard drives, USBs or wallet files are more risky
812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 23, 2023, 03:27:37 AM
Messi and Ronaldo's age prevented them from playing in La Liga, which is sad because they could have still brought excitement to the league. The case may be a bit different when it comes to the case between ronaldo and messi.
They can play in La Liga if they want to play for smaller clubs and they still have good bodies and can play better than other old players at their ages. Problems with Ronaldo is he does not want to play for small clubs and with Messi is he does not want to play for other clubs against Barcelona.

Quote
Ronaldo was going out caused by real madrid didn't want him anymore while messi was due to the financial problem that has been facing by barcelona. I think that messi has more chance to stay if barcelona has good financial but since they have been moving to the SPL and MLS league.
Real Madrid surely will not sign with Ronaldo because they don't want to have internal problems with a player who has big ambition and high ego like Ronaldo. If Ronaldo does not have enough time to play, he will react very negatively which will cause many bad effects for Real Madrid.

With Messi, because of his love and loyalty for Barcelona, he chose to leave Europe and join MLS.

Sometimes showing the facts as they are is a reason to avoid people using technology. If you tell people that your phones can spy on you, that companies sell your data, etc., no one will buy those products, but lying is the worst thing that can happen.
Those who defend Bitcoin lie in not explaining the risks and that it is a safe investment that will make you rich, which is absolutely inaccurate and a lie.
Defending and promoting Bitcoin this way is telling story which is too good to be true and it will be harder to convince listeners.

Everything has pros and cons and when you are talking about it, you must include pros and cons to keep your 'lecture', talk is neutral and frank enough. If we only say about advantages, good things of Bitcoin, listeners will think we are lying. Talking like this will cause more side effects that we don't want when we are trying to convince listeners.
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your thoughts on the impending Litecoin Halving? on: July 22, 2023, 10:33:28 AM
As I've said before, there's a lot of hype surrounding the LTC block reward halving. The craze is not going away soon. We should expect market prices to rise, especially when mainstream media have been promoting the event like crazy. For long-term holders of LTC like me, this is certainly good news. But those who want to get in now, may have to wait until this is all over. Otherwise, they'll be buying LTC at a high price.

I hope this upcoming halving event will solidify the cryptocurrency's position on the market. Maybe developers will become interested in building applications on top of the LTC blockchain once demand grows at a non-stop rate? We really need LTC to be among the top 5 coins in market cap. It's a tried-and-tested blockchain network that's almost as good as Bitcoin. Who knows if LTC is close to being valued at $1k per coin? Just my thoughts Grin

The hype can boost price to x2 x3 before halving like Litecoin experienced in its previous halvings but some times like this halving, it seems not working with a same pattern.

About 12 days until Litecoin halving and we are witnessing very calm movements of Litecoin last three months.

Zoom out the chart, I see a chance for Litecoin to move to its strong resistance around $230 which will need to be broken out if Litecoin wants to make a new all time high.
Litecoin price chart. If that resistance is broken out, I think forced liquidations will help Litecoin to make a new all time high.
815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost bitcoins on: July 22, 2023, 10:25:17 AM
Very few of these are actually recovered. The majority are lost forever and we should not give much importance to that. While they are not recovered we have to consider them as sold at zero price and hence they make the total pool of available bitcoin lower and hence raise the price. But I agree that Bitcoin itself is rare and not much liquid even today and hence it's price is high. We should focus on increasing the amount of Bitcoin that we own and leave out the rest.
What is lost is lost forever and it is almost impossible to find what you lost like private keys, passwords or seed phrase. Chance to recover a lost wallet, password, seed phrase is not big so very few assumed lost bitcoin will be recover.

Some old bitcoins woke up are not actually lost bitcoins. They are only dormant bitcoins and the owners still have access to those coins and they just did not move their coins in previous years.

For lost bitcoins I don't mind when they were lost and around what prices of Bitcoin on the market. It belongs to history and only the owners know real stories of their losses so with us, it does not make sense to guess their stories.

816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 22, 2023, 10:20:24 AM
Loftus-Cheek to the midfield and Pulisic to the attacking line are both really decent transfers for Milan. They didn't even spend so much money for both.
Those players did not grow well as expected by Chelsea and their fans but they are still young and have a long career ahead. At least, they will be able to play for AC Milan at a lower speed league which can help them to perform better. They can use their speed and physical strength which they achieved through years in Premier League, as one of their advantages in Serie A.

Quote
Now they have made another signing which is Noah Okafor. He has been a centre-forward playing for Salzburg so far. I can't say that his last season performance was very impressive.

Milan does spend a lot of money to get both. Acmilan has been rumored interesting to make at least two more signings before the end of summer transfer. A bit surprised that how acmilan turns to be really aggressive in getting the new player. The only problem if acmilan was also let some important players left from the club which is a big mistake being made by arsenal at this moment.
I did not know about Okafor but checking his stats in all previous seasons, he is not too good. He has an advantage that he is only 23 years old and still young enough. From his stats, he is not a too bad player and with his age, he has potential to upgrade himself more in next 2 or 3 seasons and step up to a higher level. Perhaps AC Milan want to bet that they will grow up they player well enough in San Siro and Serie A.

That's a serious indirect sign for Lukaku who is playing with the nerves of Inter management and fans! It will be an awkward moment for him to see Inter rejecting him, Juventus neglecting him and absolutely out of the strategy of Chelsea Lips sealed
Lukaku is like a Judas by doing that. He betrayed all trust of Inter Milan and love of their fans for him recent years and in this summer. It is surely time wasting for Inter Milan when they tried to negotiate with Chelsea for a transfer of Lukaku to their club but behind the scene, the player and his representatives had some talks with AC Milan and Juventus.

We can't jump to conclusions and doubt him just because he's a newcomer we should at least give him a chance at least until mid-season
Rudi Garcia already has experience in several leagues his abilities can be applied in any team including Napoli I have no doubt about that
Moreover, Napoli still uses the same team composition so Rudi Garcia just needs to continue domination and strategy.
He is a new comer in Napoli but he is not new in Serie A. In the past he was a coach of AS Roma and had some good seasons with Roma. He has enough experience in Serie A which will help him to have less difficulty for their management job in Napoli but he will have to mitigate effects from transfers of Napoli star players in this summer. Losing star players and attaching new players to a squad together are difficult task for Rudi Garcia.

I see if they can end a next season in top four, it will be an acceptable result for Napoli and Rudi Garcia.

It is too ahead of schedule to decide on the future of the newly appointed manager. He should be given enough ample opportunity to assess whether he would be a good short-term or long-term coach for the club. Rudi Garcia should be given a chance before proclaiming that he is unfit to lead Napoli to victory in Serie A. We all know what happened to Napoli; of course, they've been highly competitive for the scudetto for quite some time; the club winning it last season was completely unsurprising, because we all expected them to win it, albeit after a more difficult work out by the coach and his squad.
At Napoli, they usually don't have too long-term plan with their coaches. Their President Aurelio De Laurentiis does not want to have long term plans with coaches or he just does not have enough patience to complete such plans. Many coaches came and went away in Laurentiis era as their club president and I really believe that Rudi Garcia will not be different.

If Laurentiis did not keep Spaletti after a great successful season, how will he has enough patience to keep Rudi Garcia in Napoli if results are worse than his expectation?
818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Return Hardware Wallet That Contains 3+ BTC in a Hotel Room? on: July 21, 2023, 02:54:41 AM
There was a story in my locality this week. A woman who is working in a hotel, found $70,000 in hotel room she working and with her good heart, she returns the money to the customer. Now the question other people asked was if the didn't know the person what she would have done?

If you were in the woman's shoe, what would you do?
It must not be a Bitcoin story but can be anything else.

Good people will return any asset they found even that asset has value like a fortune with them. Such stories are not too rare in life and I believe you already read such stories some times in your life. So this Bitcoin story and your question is not necessary. The answer is obvious, if she is a good person, she will find ways to return Bitcoin to the victim but if she is morally bad, she will steal it and keep silent even if the victim asks her about that.
819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the upcoming LTC halving a market mirage? on: July 21, 2023, 02:49:55 AM
If the mining supply is reduced, it would make litecoin more valuable because less supply will encourage more demand and the price of litecoin have more tendency to increase.
Value of a coin is not decided by its supply and not affected by its halving. The value belongs to its use cases and usability as well as demand from community. If Litecoin developers don't create any new and better use cases, usability for their coin in future, the coin price as well as its value will drop more and more. It will not increase in either price or value if project development is bad, becomes worse and less demand on the coin.
820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 20, 2023, 03:04:13 AM
It took years for Luciano Spalleti to achieve the fantastic results for Napoli, and lifting the scudetto with Napoli after 33 years without a domestic title was a very memorable occasion for them. Luciano Spalleti resigned from his role as Napoli's head coach, but he did so for personal reasons.
You can say it about Napoli and their President De Sanctis as they spent about last twenty years to build up their club after ranking up from Serie B. From Lavezzi, Hamsik, Higuain, Cavani, Insigne, Koulibaly, etc. and they only won a first Scudetto after many decades in the past season.

You can not say it with their coach Luciano Spaletti because he just joined Napoli since 2021 - 2022 season. He only had two seasons with Napoli and in a second season with them, he won a Scudetto which is a first one in his coach career too.

Quote
When it comes to the incoming boss, Rudi Garcia, he will undoubtedly fall short of the outgoing manager's expectations. However, I believe that if Rudi Garcia is given more time than Luciano Spalleti, he will make good use of his position and provide solid results for the club and the supporters.
Will Rudi Garcia repeat the success of Spalleti?

I am not sure but he had some good seasons with AS Roma in the past and from their coach record, they have kind of similarities.
