I was predicting $1k-$2k in 2017... I'm still pinching myself

Bitcoin = gold
Ripple = fiat
Ethereum = oil
Those are the perfect cryptocurrencies to disrupt the current financial landscape

Eager to read more about the new trezor model t and possibly pre-order it, however, the site has been down for the last few hours...

May I suggest that the OP is updated with all of the current exchanges? I don't want to scroll through 30+ pages to find where to buy to this. I'm assuming I am not the only one.

Responded. I have set the new price as 1.3 BTC. As stated, the trezor has now been opened but I still consider this to be an important piece of BTC history.

This is still available, however, it has since been opened. I'm open to offers.
Is the asking price of 2.6 BTC still valid from the OP or has it been lowered? The price has changed a lot since I made this post. Adjusted.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see a bear market until the next halving. I'm guessing low $2000's.

I also agree on the branding. The name as well as the logo are too similar to Bitcoin. It can easily be seen as trying to ride Bitcoin's coat tails. That while names like Obsidian, Onyx and Night Trader are all really strong names.
I like ONYX a lot. The proposal is out there. If we don't hear from the devs, I suggest the community gets started without them and enforces a takeover (changing the name on exchanges, new website, twitter etc).

Since there is no dev or representatives, we might as well go ahead with a rebranding. I am happy to a$$i$t with the new project. If you are willing and able, message me. No point circle jerking in this dead thread with no developer. BLK has a lot of potential. The tech is there, the marketing is not.
Haha , you guy make a joke. this thread isn't dead and rat4 also doesn't leave here. He make two version of blackcoin short time ago. Few pages before we had few posts by main developer, he do not have time to talk with every person, that is why we have 1600+pages so start reading..Progress is maybe slow but we are not in the hurry..Black coin raised from 2.5k sat to 10k, its very much alive now! Since there is no dev or representatives No point circle jerking in this dead thread with no developer. BLK has a lot of potential. The tech is there, the marketing is not.
Do you actually know who are the devs? You can fork it if you know how and create your own coin.. No need to get defensive. Realistically, no one is going to use a platform called Blackcoin for child support payments. There's a reason why darkcoin rebranded to DASH, darkmarket rebranded to openbazaar etc. Continue being #70 on coin marketcap, because BLK will never be top 20 in its current state. Just because it has risen in a BULL market where EVERYTHING is rising, doesn't mean that progress is being made. I guess this kind of logic is the reason why you can't see the bigger picture that mexicantarget and I presented. Good luck!

For micro transactions, sure. But for international money transactions, it is still affordable compared to what the banks charge.
I would rather keep the decentralization of BTC than have bigger blocks (my opinion).

I don't know to be honest. It's all open source and available on Github. https://github.com/dzimbeck/blackcoinWhat I think you're asking is whether the coin could function like Ethereum and have scripts running of the contract. Zimbeck mentioned something like tying scripts to the smart contracts but I dare not make any claims regarding that. That is not the github for BlackHalo or BlackCoin, I think that is just a fork for some other project of the QT client. Halo can be downloaded from http://blackhalo.infoObfuscated source code is available at: http://www.davtonia.com/bithalo/haloobf.zipBlackHalo does not have a turing complete language, it is a functioning smart contracting client made before Ethereum came along and gave that term the definition you're expecting. Halo uses a system of Double Deposit Escrow to enforce contracts (timed/scripted within the bounds of bitcoin scripting) which are executable with zero risk to either party if contract terms are adhered to and no arbiter. You should chat with Zimbeck some time on Slack, he is passionate about the methodology employed and only got into crypto because of the real world problems a system like this can help make more efficient and solve. There's an interesting use case from a firm planning to use the software for child support payment enforcement which is being discussed in Slack. One of dozens of uses for it. I've been following this project up until last year. To be honest, this coin needs a rebranding if it is hoping to go legitimate. I remember Blackcoin spawned around the same time of the anon/ color named coin hype (mintpal, anyone?), and I think it has grown up a lot from then. If you want the tech to be used by serious players, I think it is time to get serious ourselves. Look at what happened to Darkcoin when it rebranded to DASH. My case and point. Thoughts?

I don't see it going that high by next year, but it could definitely see around $1000 again.

Depends on whether the hacker has stronger hands than the people who lost their BTC. This nothing compared to gox.

I'm not sure why OP would sell so close to the halving - lol.

This is just a blip in the price. I won't be selling.

The criticism is not unwarranted, due to the nature of hardware wallets. I originally purchased this item as a collectors item and I was hoping to find a buyer with the same mindset. Although it is up to the buyer, as the item has not been opened (as I knew this would reduce its value).
I took the best picture of the tamper-evident sticker that I could. I can also provide order confirmation emails or an authenticity certificate to escrow. Anything that will help provide confidence.
Is that price fixed? Are you willing to negotiate any lower for this? I understand that it's a collector's item, but the value of the hardware itself is less that $50, I dunno if it having a collector's value will boost the price by a more than $1.5k... Price is fixed. Although the fiat value has gone up, I'm taking less than 0.2 BTC on the sale (it cost roughly 2.41 BTC). This also includes shipping, so the premium is razor thin. It is also the cheapest unopened metal trezor on the market.

It is good to have diversity, but I would disproportionally allocate more of your capital to BTC. Just my opinion
