wow thats some really cool tech there.... is this out or coming soon m8? Unbreakable Contracts BlackHalo is the only program in the world to offer revolutionary unbreakable contracts! This allows you to agree on literally anything and know the other party will honor their word. By using double deposit, theft is now impossible. No escrow is needed, no middlemen or websites holding on to funds. Read the whitepaper and documentation for more details. One year in business! i remember...hard worker, David Zimbeck is he still the dev?

Yes he is. He's active on Slack just like the other devs.
As for the smart contracts, they're already here. You can already form those contracts with other people. The next step is making it more accessible with custom templates for different uses so people don't have to figure out everything by themselves.
The one thing he has yet to release is Nighttrader, which is a completely decentralized exchange. Wallet-based. No more trading websites running away with your coins.

So automatic contracts means built in escrow type deals. I got to use that for something just to test it and get used to it, I got old software I can sell probably.
Looking at the chart for blackcoin I see it straddling an uptrend, its kinda positive having drifted past the short term down trend but its not essentially tracking upwards. I'd assume its positively consolidating for now. Target to beat .00011737 which it did a day ago but failed to confirm or hold above, so tricky stuff. However bitcoin did rise quite rapidly at this time which has an effect, much like dollar strength has on alot of prices

How are smart contracts created (from the technical side) in blackcoin? Is there also a turing complete language available?

I don't know to be honest. It's all open source and available on Github. https://github.com/dzimbeck/blackcoinWhat I think you're asking is whether the coin could function like Ethereum and have scripts running of the contract. Zimbeck mentioned something like tying scripts to the smart contracts but I dare not make any claims regarding that.

That is not the github for BlackHalo or BlackCoin, I think that is just a fork for some other project of the QT client. Halo can be downloaded from http://blackhalo.infoObfuscated source code is available at: http://www.davtonia.com/bithalo/haloobf.zipBlackHalo does not have a turing complete language, it is a functioning smart contracting client made before Ethereum came along and gave that term the definition you're expecting. Halo uses a system of Double Deposit Escrow to enforce contracts (timed/scripted within the bounds of bitcoin scripting) which are executable with zero risk to either party if contract terms are adhered to and no arbiter. You should chat with Zimbeck some time on Slack, he is passionate about the methodology employed and only got into crypto because of the real world problems a system like this can help make more efficient and solve. There's an interesting use case from a firm planning to use the software for child support payment enforcement which is being discussed in Slack. One of dozens of uses for it.

I've been following this project up until last year. To be honest, this coin needs a rebranding if it is hoping to go legitimate. I remember Blackcoin spawned around the same time of the anon/ color named coin hype (mintpal, anyone?), and I think it has grown up a lot from then. If you want the tech to be used by serious players, I think it is time to get serious ourselves. Look at what happened to Darkcoin when it rebranded to DASH. My case and point. Thoughts?

Anyone can fork it and try and gain consensus. There is no money to rebrand. Feel free. What nobody ever gets here is there is no consortium sitting here taking notes as to what people on BitcoinTalk want, there is a completely open source coin, ready for anyone to take it in any direction they want. Until rat4/dolittle decides the name is different, there is no momentum to alter this.

Since there is no dev or representatives, we might as well go ahead with a rebranding. I am happy to a$$i$t with the new project. If you are willing and able, message me.
No point circle jerking in this dead thread with no developer. BLK has a lot of potential. The tech is there, the marketing is not.

Do you actually know who are the devs? You can fork it if you know how and create your own coin.. No need to get defensive. Realistically, no one is going to use a platform called Blackcoin for child support payments. There's a reason why darkcoin rebranded to DASH, darkmarket rebranded to openbazaar etc. Continue being #70 on coin marketcap, because BLK will never be top 20 in its current state. Just because it has risen in a BULL market where EVERYTHING is rising, doesn't mean that progress is being made. I guess this kind of logic is the reason why you can't see the bigger picture that mexicantarget and I presented. Good luck!

Although I think a more important thing first is to streamline all of Blackcoins developments under one area, where everyone can see exactly what Blackcoin is about and what you can do with it. All within one client or one platform. Not all these spread out (community) projects. If it's not easy to use, not many people will use it at all. Also a concise roadmap and team overview might be good, some more structure.

Due to high transaction fees, Bitcoin is being removed from Paspagon, making BlackCoin the only supported currency. According to bitcoinfees.info, currently it costs nearly $2 to make an average Bitcoin transaction be included in the next 6 blocks and over $2.3 for the next block. For BlackCoin, it is about $0.000028.

I guess this kind of logic is the reason why you can't see the bigger picture that mexicantarget and I presented. Good luck! Love this coin and the more research I do the more I think this coin is the dark horse in the crypto race. To me, I see Blackcoin = cool, hip, bad guys wear black etc etc.. But to the rest of the potential crypto world might get a different "first impression". Black is the opposite of white also though of as sinister or evil, black market, black masks, black mark, black magic, black arts, black friday etc.etc.. (All doom or bad) These are the words in the lexicon of the average person. What I'm saying is our reality is not the same as everyone elses. We accept black without regard to the linguistics involved (i.e. black = cool) Everyone else who didnt grow up with black coin only hears "black" and the above words of negativity come to mind, consciously or subconsciously...its there! You can ignore reality but you cant ignore the consequences of ignoring reality = i.e. #70 100% behind re-branding, hurts my soul but its the right move. Best to do it asap, we seem to be at the start of the biggest bull run in crypto history. Black - absence of light; enveloped in darkness:<<THIS! First impressions 8(

Paspagon is a payment processor that allows selling any file stored in the cloud (currently Amazon S3). No registration is needed and customers may be anonymous. A Jekyll plugin exists which allows selling blog posts in various formats.
