21  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC hit $11,500 in June 2019? on: June 01, 2019, 08:25:50 AM
This can happen with almost the same probability. It may rise in price to $ 11,500 next month, or fall again to $ 8,000, or even lower. After a slow growth today, bitcoin fell in price by almost $ 500 compared with yesterday. However, in a few days, he can again rise even higher than yesterday's mark. This is cr ptataal
From my little study of bitcoin for the past 2 months, I think it has become an habit for investors to always sell of temporarily when price surges a little which make the price dump, and then I realize that they buy back which pushes the price further and above, I think this has become a norm now, which means this little retrace will bounce back soon to give further strength for it to push above $9000.

If within the next few days bitcoin can increase above that, then I will be sure that before the end of June, bitcoin value will rise to $11500, but for now, I would not want to predict yet what will happen after bitcoin gets to $11500.
22  Economy / Speculation / Re: What price will never be seen again? on: June 01, 2019, 07:50:20 AM
All things can happen in crypto. If the price of bitcoin fall from 20,000$ to 3k$ then it is also possible fall down from 8k$ to 5K$. But my mind saying at this moment according to btc movement that BTC will not down more from this position. Little bit of correction can be made but don't fall down like before.
Definitely, prices move up and down. We can't say it sticks into a high level or stay in the ground. However, we should keep in mind that one feature of crypto is of being in volatile. We can't change it and prices will turn back and forth at any moment. There is no need to question the price cause that is in reality that will happen into a decentralized market forever.
I agree with you for now mate, but the market will also not remain this way forever, in the decentralized market of bitcoin, there will be a time that the price of bitcoin will really become less volatile if you agree with me and we may not see all these frequent fluctuations like the market of gold, stock and fiat.

That time, the demand of bitcoin would be so high while supply becomes too low, bitcoin becomes expensive and stable, but for other cryptocurrency market, which I don’t know if they will still be existing when bitcoin  becomes, stable, there always be volatility since some of them have large or unlimited number of supplies.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of poker player are you? on: June 01, 2019, 07:18:12 AM
I have noticed that there two kinds of persons in poker gambling (when it refers to profits)

1._ The hit and run ones
2._ The ones who uses the money earned on previous bets to hunt for a bigger reward

What's your kind?

i dont like it becuse i mostly lose all of it but i have to say im type 2, i wish sometimes i was more of a type 1 player. would have made me alot more money in the long run Cheesy
You lose most of the times and yet haven’t resolved to stop playing, I am always surprised at reasons why people gamble, a game that is designed for people to lose their money, How do you guys continue playing even when the game stops being fun? I keep wondering why anyone would stick with a game that is not profitable, all because they keep on hoping for tomorrow, this is quiet ridiculous

I don’t believe in being any type of player, thank God I don’t gamble and from all I have seen, it’s a total waste of time. Are some people just unlucky in this gambling than the others or are they just so bad at calculating their odds?
You have a very good question there bro and I will like to answer the first by saying that no one is unlucky in gambling, everyone would be lucky but can never be at the same time. It brings me back to the old times when I was an offline gamer, I saw my friends who always won but it never got to my turn, at some point I was considering quitting until a friend advised me never to give up that my time will come but meanwhile I should only ply with caution which I did, years later it happened and it was big

Secondly, there are people who are really bad at calculating their odds and majority will never see any good reason to improve it and they will only depend on luck which is also bad.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can someone explain to me the motive behind airdrops? on: May 31, 2019, 11:27:37 AM
this is part of marketing and each project has a different way to introduce their project to many people, maybe the purpose of all this is just to attract investors because the more holders there will be more investors interested
You are right mate, and that is why most of the tokens gotten from airdrops are usually small so it doesn’t affect the revenue of the company since it is more like a gift. Airdrop sometimes is another way of reminding the users and other new users out there of their existence and their usefulness.

Most airdrops gotten by people are being help so it can grow, and the moment you list it in your portfolio, or count it among one’s long term investment coins, there is no way one will not keep tab of it, which will make them to always be remembered and not lose relevance. It is actually a good way of creating awareness and staying relevant.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin G. a scam? on: May 31, 2019, 10:55:34 AM
I came across this article this morning and I want everyone's input on this idea...

https://cryptotradernews.com/cryptocurrency/is-bitcoin-gold-a-scam/

Is Bitcoin Gold a scam? Think about it...  Ever since the BTG Wallet scam happened I've been a little concerned that all of these "alternate bitcoins" were just trying to take advantage of people.

Idk... thoughts?
I bought BTG at the price of 100$ + by thinking it will be next BCH even team was showing lots of progress like bBTG wallet and lots of good sign all of sudden BTG wallet issue came everythink started to sink . Still i am having some hope in this coin. In the article also stated mistake can happen with any one even big exchanges like binance also got hacked . Still team is improving and showing lots of progress prices also slowly picking up.
We should not use binance issue has an excuse to hold on to shit coins, once a bad project will always be a bad project. There are many ways of scamming people in this cryptocurrency market, some scammers will scam without caring for their reputation or going through the stress of making people believe they lost their money because of failed projects, while we have some scammers that will indeed enter exchange, and then purposely fail for the project to die down so people can hold on to that excuse for losing their money.

There is no way some of these coins can really perform like the  original designed one which is BTC and I expected most people to have focus on BTC for now ever since we started having issue of these scam projects and bad projects. Most of them are empty promises.
26  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC stoping withdrawls! on: May 31, 2019, 09:41:11 AM
I haven't used HitBTC for quite sometime, so I can't confirm this news. But a number of exchanges are showing distress signals right now and it will be better for us to withdraw all of our coins to safe wallets, before they end up like Cryptopia and Wex. Nowadays I don't think that there is a single exchange out there, which we can trust.
I don’t understand why these products starts well and then end up bad, Hitbtc used to be a very good exchange, they didn’t start bad, although they had record of registering shitcoin, but you can still count very good projects on them.

I guess they have been corrupted by these bad projects too because what I have been hearing about them is not impressive at all, and I will they can go back to the way they use to be. People just need to be very careful in using them and switch over to reliable exchanges. I believe binance and Bittrex will never end up being like HitBTC because their team is well known, verified and they can still be trusted.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP at $5-10 in 9 to 10 Days: Hype? on: May 30, 2019, 01:11:28 PM
I do think it's likely that XRP will hit and maintain that price eventually, but I'd say there's about zero chance of that happening in the next few days, weeks or months.
XRP has spiked in the past but then fallen away. Even if it did hit those prices quickly, it wouldn't be sustainable without establishing a long period of support at high levels beforehand.
XRP is like a coin sitting on a time bomb, the same way they will not be able to sustain the $4 value they got to the last time when people dumped them so hard that they almost zero is the same way they will not really go that much this time around.

Their investors who must have seen how un-useful XRP is would be waiting patiently to see a pump in the price and dump them for other better projects, so I really do not see them ever sustaining any high value that they get no matter the pump, that is if they even get any pump, because all this while that bitcoin has been blowing, they have been moving like a snail and I expected more than that being the 3rd biggest coin they claim they are.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: only the price of Bitcoin is increasing? on: May 30, 2019, 12:40:08 PM
Bitcoin already build a deep foundation of trust among crypto users and investors that is why there is no need to be surprised if Bitcoin is constanly increasing and leading the market as since the very beginning of crypto currency investments everyone are depending on Bitcoin movement and performance.
Maybe altcoins must make investor bound to it like what bitcoin did. This is why a lot of people already support bitcoin for now and it make bitcoin price have a lot of community, holders, more demand and make it's price increased.
Do they have the capacity to do that? many of these altcoins wants to compete with bitcoin instead of them focusing on how to impress investors with their products, because the only factor that can make a project remain popular for life is when people are using it for the purpose it ought to be used for and not just investment alone.

Lots of coins are the ones damaging themselves by promising investors what their coin can generate for them and not what their product can do for them. They need to market their product more if they have any and make it worth it when clients eventually get to try it out.
29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The "how to" of building a gambling site on: May 30, 2019, 10:48:59 AM
There are books on how to build altcoins but I don't see any in-depth guidance on how to build a gambling site.
It seems to be all trial and error.
If you know of any technique or site or forum I would appreciate hearing about it.
I doubt someone will write a book about building a gambling site. I will list out a few Do's and Dont's while building one.

1. Don't use third-party games or those shitty scripts, create your games from scratch.
2. Get your stuff developed from professional developers who have done similar work before.
3. Security/Authentication should be cross-tested with a number of tests and ran through the ethical hackers group.
4. If you don't have enough money for advertising and house, just give up the idea.
5. KYC should be remotely associated with your gambling site.
I think this regulations should be stated after there must have been a good plan on the site creation on ground and this can only be achieved by a good developer or if he can get a good one to teach him, though he should be ready to pay much. What the  OP is truly in need of now is how to get started not the Dos and Don’t, but still thanks for sharing this as it might be helpful for someone who already knows the way forward.

I also like to know why KYC should be remotely associated with a gambling site, is it so compulsory. What if I like to create one with including the regulation of KYC at all on my site, how would it affect the site? More light on this please::
30  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What importance is kyc In gambling section on: May 30, 2019, 10:10:46 AM
I don't think it's necessary unless they just implemented it for overcoming the problem of the fake account. if they know that you are a real user and are active on the casino playing regularly or maybe after some days then also they can focus on you. that will help them improve their site even more like they can make their site according to your needs without even asking you about it.
That assurance is not enough for a gambling site that your a real player. KYC can be asked if your money is beyond the limit and I think being a gambler who always play are not exempted from this. Its important for a gambling site to collect the data of every gambler if they are withdrawing huge money because it can help them to check if you are the real owner or not.
KYC regulation has nothing to do with checking for fake accounts. The main reason is to control money laundering and fraudulent activities and moreover I don’t think there is an exemption for anyone, there is nothing like checking if you are regular or not a regular player, a site that needs KYC info would do that to all their players, I think it’s important for us to get that straight and right.

I think the only times there are exemptions are for sites that do not ask for KYC on their daily basis, only when a player has a huge win and they probably do this for both the security of the play and the website, and it’s always understandable in such cases.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 0 confidence in how the Cryptopia madness is being handled? See this on: May 29, 2019, 11:33:09 AM
LOL, and you think you will get far with this, has trust become so easy for people to just start donating into your account without even verifying who you are. If you are to succeed with this, you need to first be able to do KYC and show yourself to the people you are expecting donation from.

How do we confirm that you are not a scammer, and moreover, you are still expecting donation from people who has lost money through cryptopia liquidation because you don’t expect any form of donation from those that are not concerned. Anyway, I wish you best of luck on handling what you claim the authority could not handle, I wonder when you became a detective for you and your team to successfully investigate cryptopia.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If a whale is buying Bitcoin then I too will buy Bitcoin. on: May 29, 2019, 11:03:05 AM
This is an unusual reason for purchasing Bitcoin because normally the reasons you'd be buying it would be if it represents good value and you're adding it to your portfolio of traditional assets as a long term investor, or if you want to day trade it, then large buys and sells may be something you'd analyze especially if its institutions that are making the purchases as this would be a positive indicator for growth
You are right, that is the major reason why we should consider buying bitcoin, but if you look at the investment part of it, the price of the coin really matters, this why op said we should also follow the whales to accumulate when they are doing so instead of joining some people to panic sell.

The time whales accumulate coins are when the market is dumping and some investors are panic selling their coins into the hands of these whale, so instead of us too panic selling, we can just simply join the whales to buy these coins and wait for it to pump again to take our profit. It is either we join the whales to accumulate or we sell the one we have to them. We have to choose one.
33  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: STEP TO TAKE WHEN PAYMENT IS BEEN DELAYED BY AN ONLINE CASINO on: May 29, 2019, 10:33:17 AM
I wonder why the payments are delayed . Anyone knows the real reason for this? I kind of think they don't have enough money to pay the winner so they wait for more gamblers to play to enable them pay the winner from there. Or they are doing background checks on him/her?
Probably they might be out of funds so they are waiting for their bankroll to fill and then will pay the rewards and most reputed gambling sites also face this issue due to the changes of price of crypto currrencies but the condition will change quicky if they are managed to pay the rewards as soon as possible or it will completely ruin their reputation which make them no more profitable through gambling.
I have seen one or two people with this issues but I am always surprised because I have never been a victim of this. There are so many sites I try to login and the first requirement would be the KYC form, but because it Is against my  believe I just move on to the one that would let me play freely.

Although I know perfectly well that there are sites that will not ask for KYC at the beginning and the only condition for such requirement towards withdrawal is when a huge amount of money is involved, which I think is normal. They have every reason to ask for the know your customer, you can’t withdraw such amount and expect the site not to have your details, like the upper poster said, expect you have something you are hiding.
34  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of poker player are you? on: May 29, 2019, 10:02:51 AM
I have noticed that there two kinds of persons in poker gambling (when it refers to profits)

1._ The hit and run ones
2._ The ones who uses the money earned on previous bets to hunt for a bigger reward

What's your kind?

I'm a type of poker player which uses money earned from previous bets. I do this to minimize the risk of losing my capital so I can play to the next day. It's too hard for me to be a hit and run ones because when you feel the momentum of your luck; it's hard to resist playing unless you really have a good control which most likely doesn't work when you're already in that situation.
If that pattern works for you in minimizing your loses then it cool for you and I call that wisdom, in gambling, different people with what works for them, I am far from this strategy knowing that I would be heading for my doom if I ever put this to try.

I am that type of player that might win a game and stop playing for a long while before returning back as a result of fear of the unknown. I won $100 dollars from one of those sites and I haven’t played again since then, its over 3months already and I have no hope of winning again when I return back but I would at least be happy I spent the little one I won well.
35  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is needed for a gambler to the success? on: May 29, 2019, 09:32:50 AM
Everyone know gambling is filled with success and loss but what is the most important for being successful in gambling
Luck or experience?

For me I think both because first, when you gamble you rely on luck whether your a winner or not and also based on experiences from me & my friends, we tried a couple of strategies to see if we win but no avail so using a strategy is useless. Experience however is more on knowing when to stop or have self control if you are on a losing streak.
You have a good point, but then I would like to add that it actually depends on the game in question. Some games are basically based on luck, there is no amount of years of experience that can make anyone a better player in such games, like I know someone that has played Dice for over 2years now and has never won, if it was based on experience I am sure that he would have improved in playing by now

Again, there are some games that requires experience and at the same time luck, I think games like sports betting should fall into this category. In sport betting there are just some times those of us who are players, we would see the role of experience and sometimes luck.
I beg to disagree. There is nothing like luck in gambling instead there are factors that can be put into consideration to make gamblers succeed, just that most gamblers never follow the rules. Maybe you should start by following this few steps in any type of gambling.

It’s always important to wager what you are willing to lose in gambling but because some are unable to keep their discipline, they fail in this aspect. Many gamblers are so bad with research, they wait for everything to happen to them on a platter of gold, it is easy to succeed in gambling when a player is good with their research.
36  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: HAVE YOU EVER MET ANY SUCCESSFUL GAMBLER on: May 28, 2019, 11:46:18 AM
So i was just wondering, aside the times i see the names of rich and successful gamblers during my google search, i dont think i have personally met anyone who made it big in gambling. Its possible there are  but i know more of those who have lost more than those who have made it.
Please note that by been successful, i  do not mean those who make this little and minor winnings on a daily bases(NO). I mean those with Big records, like who have won over 1BTC from gambling. If you know any either in an online or offline casino please dont hesitate to share their story, you can include the name of the site they made their wins, i am sure someone would be encouraged. Lets go guys Roll Eyes

I had a neighbor who did gamble regularly. He did the lottery very often and finally on a lucky day, he can win a large amount of money. The best thing about him is, he then used the money he got to start a new business and fortunately, he can live with it. He gradually stopped his gambling habit and focused on his new business until now.
Maybe you should have best started the story with I have a very lucky neighbor LOL. He is such a lucky and a smart gambler. Imagine him starting up a business and deviated from gambling when others would put that same money back into the   gambling

I have never met anyone personally but I read of a lot of successful gamblers, recently a story was shared on the forum about a guy who played on Primedice and won 51BTCs and proofs where shown to back this up and I have really been motivated to keep on gambling ever since and happily I am improving by the dat. I have been making some interesting wins of recent but I can't say that I am a successful gambler yet.
37  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 51btc won in a day on: May 28, 2019, 11:07:46 AM
Oh my gosh that is very big amount of money it cost around 400,000 dollars to the current value of the bicoin but the amount they bet is very high than his won and that is risky and once they lose and he will cry for sure. In one bet that is very big amount. But he is still lucky but incase I have that amount of bitcoin I will not bet all that but I think he is  millionaire or billionaire because they have that amount.
So you would stop gambling if you won mere 400,000 dollars,  I know that the money is huge though but at least if you are a passionate gambler, you will not stop gambling for any amount, you could at least even hope to win more, this is the difference between people who have passion for gambling and those who just gamble because everyone else is doing it

I think the reason why most people don’t make it big in gambling is because of these kind of mindset, they have already planned in their minds to stop gambling once they win big money, so winning would now be far from them. It better to plan to remain in the game no matter the amount won.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Speculation on: May 28, 2019, 10:32:29 AM
sell in May and go away!

What are your price assumptions for summer 2019?

The value will continue to rise after this summer, if you have a good trust with Bitcoin, holding is really the first options by keeping this coin
you'll be able to see more value after this season, selling is not a good options not unless you have a good skills sorting it up again and wait
for another good corrections to buy back your coins.

Always check your position twice, never to act without a good back up plans just in case you missed or made a mistake while still playing
with the market.
I agree with you all that holding is still the best, it is safer and lot more profitable, but taking profit too isn’t a bad idea, if you take profit with the mindset of using it to increase your holding and not going away with it finally.

I also sold some of my coins yesterday when bitcoin got to $8742, now I am waiting for the next correction to invest again which I am sure there should still be a price correction back to $8200 before moving further in its spike journey. This strategy is actually not for everyone, because to do this, you have to be sure that there will be a correction, if I don’t see any sign of future correction, I don’t dare take profit so I don’t miss out.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why The Excitement for IEOs? on: May 28, 2019, 10:01:34 AM
IEOs can really be profitable specially IEO's launching in popular exchanges such as Binance and Bittrex
For me IEO is much better then ICO launched projects
Because of the assurance that its ready to trade once launched
I have heard many investors say very good review about the IEO they have participated in so far, I cannot really know how it works yet because I have not been able to successfully participate in it, because the cost of investing is high, which makes it more profitable to those than can really invest in a big time and secondly, the queue most of this IEO always get when it being launched, makes it very difficult for so many people to not successfully participate too.

I am just waiting for the time, where we will have more good exchanges like binance that would be able to handle a quality project. Once we have more IEO and more exchanges, the rush will be limited.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is someone really behind the Bitcoin SV pump? on: May 28, 2019, 09:30:13 AM
generally speaking whenever a shitcoin rises in price, there is always someone behind that rise aka pump. otherwise they can never go up in first place because no investor in their right mind is ever buying shitcoins.

now lets review the case of shitcoin called BSV.
Craig Wright has been scamming people for a while now. he has been using Satoshi's name and his lies to fool people into buying his shitcoin and take their money and become rich. a couple of months ago he paid a small fee to submit an arbitrary copyright claim that the copyright office don't even check and it will always remain a "claim" not a confirmed one.
at that time big exchanges were removing this shitcoin so the time for pump was not right so he waited until the big dumps ended and paid the news sites to release the fake news with a fake but hyped up title saying "US government has accepted CW as Satoshi" then they started pumping the shitcoin hard.
meanwhile any day trader who has been around sees this hype and sees the pump so they join in because they all want profit so the pump becomes big.

now we are starting to see the dumping side as they all cash out and leave the newbies to their losses.
I blame it on those investors too who are greedy and unserious to have believed that bitcoin is good for a long term investment, it is not a bad idea to actually invest in a shitcoin, but one has to be wise, the reason why some people invest in shitcoin, despite their awareness of it being shitcoin, is because they also want to benefit from the pump whales do.

Once they see any pump, they are so fast ahead of the whales too to start cashing out, in that way, they have not lost anything rather than gain. So newbies who are investing in some of these unreliable coins should try as much as possible to always use their head to play the game and not their heart.
