21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this true or some superstitious believe about gambling? on: May 22, 2024, 10:15:37 AM
~
Though wired to see patterns, they may not be real. Gambler's fallacy: Angry spirits cause bad luck? Get out! We're just trying to make sense of the chaos. The math supports casinos, not ghosts. This game's dealer is probability, not your lucky rabbit's foot.

That's right. And the math is not so evil either. Casinos have just a slightly better chance of winning, that's all. You should keep that in mind and take the risk if you fancy it.

You want to win? Think rationally. Every dice roll and card dealt is independent of your wishes or mumbo jumbo. It's about freedom, not cynicism! The pieces of superstitions don't fit, but people keep putting them together. Especially after losing large, they cling at straws. Get out of that echo chamber! Think critically: if these spirits are so strong, why aren't they earning casino pay?

Although thinking rationally won't help you to win in purely luck-based games, it won't hurt overall for sure.

Think critically: if these spirits are so strong, why aren't they earning casino pay?

I personally don't believe in any spirits, but I think those who do are of the opinion that spirits do not need money. Smiley
22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever done something crazy to bet? on: May 22, 2024, 09:40:44 AM
To me it’s a really bad thing to gamble with money as student it’s not just advisable ~

When you are a student, you are young and full of energy. You are not afraid of making risky moves, you are not afraid of anything. And that is definitely not good timing for gambling activities. I'd say it's crazy by itself to gamble when you are young. Maybe gambling with your pocket money can be acceptable if it doesn't happen too often, but if it involves larger amounts, it's better to stay away from gambling altogether.

You won't believe I was watching an entire match of cricket today. ~

I haven't watched the whole tour yet, but watching a tour of that level with Sportsbet.io ad in it

was amazing. I mean, Phil Ivey, Chris Brewer, Patrik Antonius, Adrián Mateos... they are my favourite poker players, and they are playing in this tour!

I wasn't winning my sports bets for quite some time, but my recent multibets were so close to being winning ones:

That I think I have every right to hope to win in the near future. Smiley
24  Other / Off-topic / Re: not to trust anyone on: May 22, 2024, 07:49:00 AM
Good morning,
all people are different. You can't form an opinion about other people based on just one example. I'm not encouraging you to trust people "pretending to be a good friend", but don't think bad of them right away. Give them a chance.
To some extent I agree with you, but you need to understand what kind of things we're talking about, because it's easy to trust people in some unimportant matters, but when it comes to personal matters, you need to be especially careful. You are right, all people are different, but in spite of this, I would not share any frank information with anyone, which could be blackmailed or worse, used to harm me in the future

You are right. Do not do that. There are lots of examples people sharing that kind of info when drunk or something and regretting about it later.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No risk no gain on: May 22, 2024, 07:35:17 AM
I first heard about Bitcoin around 2016 but then I had no idea what Bitcoin was. Someone online was saying to work on it because I don't know anything about it. Then I heard about Bitcoin again in 2022 when the price of Bitcoin was 21000 dollars. I did a little research on Bitcoin and saw that it was good. From whom I heard, I said to a brother, brother, let's invest. Buy a bitcoin and keep it.Fifty percent and I invested fifty percent but that brother did not agree then. Day by day the price of Bitcoin was increasing and the price was going up and down around 25, 30, 31 thousand dollars. Still I told my brother to invest but he did not agree. That price eventually reached 74 thousand dollars. I regretted very much why I didn't take a risk. If you want to do something, you have to take a risk, nothing happens without a risk.

Yes, but Bitcoin is not like other things. You take risk with all other things all the time and you won't survive.  So, I wouldn't apply this "No risk no gain" approach to everything, but, you are right, with Bitcoin it works and it works exactly like that.  It's funny that when BTC was $21k many people thought it's its limit, and actually when in the early days BTC reached $1 many people thought it was its limit too. And now, when the price is $70k, there are people saying "This time BTC has reached its limit for sure!". Yeah, we've heard that many times.

This life no balance, and if you are trying to balance it ,it might course a big issue to you but all the same will all try our best in anything we are doing to make sure that life is smoother for us ,can you imagine a girl his man do everything for her yet she still went ahead in cheating on him ,I want to know what exactly that push ladies into this double dating .

You would get so many answers as how many women in the world. All cases are unique. But mostly it's because they don't think that the man that is "doing everything for her" is going to stay with her forever. She wouldn't cheat on him if she was sure of him.

32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accumulating Bitcoin or trading Bitcoin which is more wise to do. on: May 21, 2024, 11:22:24 AM
Even if someone is not an expert in technical analysis, he/she can trade and earn some money from it. By chance, I mean. So, trading should be treated as gambling in that case. So, don't put at risk a bigger amount than you can afford to lose and trade how much you want. Enjoy the process, learn something from it, but don't try to make money with it because you can end up with losing a lot because of your high stakes. Accumulating Bitcoin, on the other hand, never hurts.
Trading is risky but everyone can have profit or loss with some trades. Difference between an amateur and a professional trader is in long term of trading. An amateur trader who relies completely on luck factor can not get profit in the long term. The professional trader can get positive net profit in long term of trading because he is very knowledgeable, experienced and disciplined with entry and exit.~

But it is not necessarily so, right? A lot of so-called professional traders lose their money because, apart from unpredictable events, they can be simply wrong in their calculations. But tell me, who lost anything from accumulating Bitcoin ever? Unless you panic-sold your BTC at the lower price than you you bought it, till this day there were no losses from accumulating Bitcoin. Of course, it's just my personal opinion, but I think that accumulating Bitcoin is more wise to do than trading.

~ So, any day, anytime, I would pick accumulating Bitcoin. Trading doesn't hold much significance, unless when I buy more to accumulate more.. lol Cheesy

This is great news!

Unfortunately I missed several previous weeks, so I can't hope to win the Ticket for $250k GTD contest, but I think I can try to participate in these ones:

several $5 Free Bets won't hurt anyone. Smiley

Only I have a question regarding the rules.

It's said in "How It Works": "ALL multiple bets must contain at least 3 selections, with minimum odds of 2.00 to be considered as a qualifying wager."

Is it "minimum odds of 2.00" for each selection or for the multibet as a whole?

34  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Max Win is the worst thing that could happen to you. on: May 21, 2024, 09:43:19 AM
~

Yeah, that's the thing, rich and poor both have the same odds, and they will win and lose with the same probabilities, which means that both will be losing money in the long term in the most common pathway.

Of course you can make money gambling, but it is so rare that it might as well called a null event.

It's not that rare, if you think of it. Millions of people win each day, but, of course, they are not winning life-changing amounts, rather, something they can spend on little trinkets or a restaurant visit.

I think it's wrong to keep saying that no one wins in gambling, mainly because it's not true. The truth is that you are likely to lose, so, you shouldn't make plans about making money through gambling. But you can gamble for fun and you can win like many others, that is true also.
35  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much of my salary should I use to gamble on: May 21, 2024, 08:51:38 AM
If we are interested in gambling that much, then no one is against it, if we have decided to use the entire earnings from our salary to gamble, that is still our business and decision, ~

It's only like that when no one is depending on you. If you live alone, have no friends and no relatives, then indeed you can bet how much you want. You can lose your entire salary and try to live on water only for the next month. It's your decision to make. But you can't do that if you have a family, because the money you earn is not only yours then. You should never put the money that is not yours to risk.
36  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling mistake repeated by the gamblers on: May 21, 2024, 08:14:26 AM
I think its all about money. When you have more than enough money in your gambling accounts, then literally you'll go with higher bets and random bets. Cause you don't know what to do with that extra money.

I personally can't imagine a situation like this. No one here can, actually. Unless you are Elon Musk, I mean, both that rich and that stupid, you are not throwing your money away because you don't know what to do with that extra money. Making higher bets and random bets? The only way you go behaving like this is to bankruptcy.

That's why mind will force you to do gambling with that fund. And thus people become over confidence with any match or really don't care about their money. So they gamble and loss. And yeah, Greedy plays viral role in gamblers life. Sometimes i also feel greedy to place bets on my favorite team although we shouldn't use to place bets all the time. But as I already said that money matter here! If you keep lower money in your account, then such things could be reduced in my opinion

No, we can place bets all the time, it depends on the size of the bets. I'm doing it all the time, but my bets are less than $1 each, so I can afford it.

$300 ⏩ $424k

A CRAZY win on Dice! 🤯

https://twitter.com/Stake/status/1790502599793508780

From what I see, he hit 99.99, so, the guy could win more, actually.

It happens to me too. When I set the target multiplier to 999x and hit 99.99, I win, but I always think: "Why didn't I aim for 99.99? I would win 10 times more then!" Smiley

BTW, does anyone know, how to look up a bet on Stake? Searching for this bet to get a better picture quality I wrote "DICE ID 228,441, 536,570" in the search box

but it didn't work for me. Is it possible at all?

38  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $84k the Peak for Bitcoin? on: May 21, 2024, 07:14:02 AM
I think Bitcoin price is not something you can predict with certainty. In my opinion, what we can talk about is always with +-50% accuracy. Bitcoin can reach $84,000 and can reach above $100k too, but when, no one say that.

With that said, I personally believe that BTC will reach $100k+ within the nearest 4 years.

By the way, why did you put this question in the title: "Is $84k the Peak for Bitcoin"?
