21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Is Legal In Our Country But if You Promote It Online You'll Go To Jail? on: March 15, 2024, 11:59:06 PM
At least, that law, if ever it will be passed, will restrict those braggers from posting their winnings, especially streamers.

It's for the safety of the users as well and these people will learn how to just keep low-key with their winnings.

This is just absurdity coming in from the government. Most of the laws and ordinance from the Philippines related to gambling contradict each other. It's like they are protecting something, but at the same time, lets the actual danger roam around and take people's hopes. If they want to ban advertisements but not gambling, then they are just subtly promoting gambling since people will look in places just to know what platforms are out there to play on.

For the fairness of both parties, since gambling is an important part of the economy of the country, it should be regulated.

Is it good for you to see those chillers and influencers doing gambling content freely luring many people?
22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Paper Betting- Would You Consider it if you Were to Start Sports betting Again on: March 15, 2024, 11:49:23 PM
I learned about sports betting without these tests. I think new bettors or not, don't need a sort of demo account in sports betting. They will feel comfortable and just relaxed betting anywhere since there's no risk money. As a result, they won't learn something about what they're doing.

For preparation purposes, they can risk about $5-10 as a start per match. At least in that way, they will be serious about forming their respective analysis since there's real money involved now on their bets unlike feeling comfortable and might not apply any serious analysis if their bets will be done in a paper betting.

Gin Kings resident and already a franchise import, Justin Brownlee will play for the Indonesia Basketball League.

Don't worry Brgy. Ginebra fans, Brownlee is still the resident import for the team. Since PBA is currently in the Philippine Cup, Coach Tim allows Brownlee to play for other leagues. According also to Coach Tim, Brownlee will back to Ginebra in the next import conference in June.

25  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing at gambling on: March 07, 2024, 08:02:25 PM
When everything's going well, it's cool. But sometimes (often?) money problems lead to divorce. Suppose your spouse/husband gambles a lot, his or her loss/profit ratio is acceptable (so it's fine), but then one day he or she has bet it all and lost it all. You've got nothing left (and no savings either). What's your reaction? Has this ever happened to you?

If after all our money was gone and my spouse admitted the mistake and promised to change for good, then we could talk things properly. Since it's my spouse after all, there's always room for a second chance. I might feel angry at some point but if I feel that the promise is genuine, I need to put trust.

I will now see if a real change is happening as we move on to that bad moment. I hope so that everything will went well.
26  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: March 07, 2024, 07:17:11 PM
Not really sure how Mike Tyson suddenly agreed to such fighting events!! He is 57 years old while Jake is just 27 years old. Mike Tyson can surely blow some punches but a younger person will be more agile. I think the age will become a big factor in this match and probably it is going to be very hard match for Mike Tyson.

Nonetheless, I am sure both Mike and Jake will make a huge amount of money out of this fight regardless of the result.

Being much more agile is useless if there's not enough strength in those punches. Mike Tyson might be old but the hell his current build is that was molded in his entire boxing career. Even if Jake could land a blow, it might not be enough to take down Tyson or even hurt him.

There's a big difference between Cruiserweight and Heavyweight. A huge gap.

However, the difference will only be seen if they will fight seriously.
27  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have a habit of tracking your gambling progress? on: March 07, 2024, 07:04:39 PM
The game is a game of chance, of course by tracking I will know the game [1] is like this and the game [2] is like this, sometimes we often bet on games that make us lose and vice versa make a profit, By considering the game it will make us think about what is good and bad, in essence, yes, we have to track it.

Actually, that's the purpose of tagging as FAVORITE in slot games. Aside from remembering the name of the game, we can sort out what slots should only be played by us as of course we will not tagged as FAVORITE those slot games that we have bad results of playing.

Some bettors are just randomly picking a slot game and if luck comes on that game they will be carried away with the winnings and might forget the name of the slot game they recently played with. They will now check it on betting history and upon knowing the name of that slot they will now find it on the game list and will tag it as FAVORITE for easy access in future playing.
28  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: March 07, 2024, 06:21:31 PM
If a person is interested in gambling, especially sports betting, their regular involvement in this activity will make them a good bettor in the long run. Mistakes, errors, wrong choices, and any bad experience are just normal to experience in sports betting. Without these mistakes, a bettor won't be able to develop their respective skills.

Being patient can be learned automatically by most people. It's a natural ability that every person has. Building experience in sports betting for a long will develop everyone's ability to become calm and patient with each of their action.
29  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dont chase your loss on: March 07, 2024, 06:09:16 PM
It is best you gamble when necessary not because you want to chase your loss and win back you money, many are victim of this circumstances and for me is a bad practice and this might make you not to employe your gambling skills and roles because you inhast in your decision making. What is your opinion on this?

Sometimes we need to just allow these people who are chasing a loss as a purpose why they gamble.

Without suffering a losing experience and big losses, they will never understand that chasing losses is something they can't achieve.

Though the worst part is, some people even suffer a big losing streak just to chase the losses, still didn't realize that what they are doing is crap.
30  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Even as a sport fan be careful! on: March 07, 2024, 05:53:59 PM
Seems like it's not just because of an argument between fan base faction why that happened.

According to the article:
"The men suffered stab wounds before their wallets and documents were stolen".

If the motive is to just defend their respective team and end up in a heated argument, why there are lost items on the victims?

Either way, even how much a fan is careful to themselves, there are always bad people roaming around that will harm people unexpectedly.
31  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you had this gambling experience? on: March 06, 2024, 10:46:37 PM
I hope that OP's experience would not build a mindset in those struggling bettors that it's much better to bet on random and on fun rather than to put seriousness in our usual preferred sports since the winning rate is much better on the former compared to the latter.

We can't expect a consistent win on random bets just because currently, the winning rate is good. Soon it will wrecked, I'm sure of that.

It's still better to put seriousness on every analysis and it doesn't mean that we fail our bet, we are not good at it. Just keep improving.
32  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making decisions while betting on: March 06, 2024, 10:35:20 PM
The factors mentioned are considered human nature. It's normal to feel that way.

Even professional sports bettors still got carried away. Forget controlling those as it's impossible.

Rather than controlling those, the better way should be, to try to manage those. The only way to manage emotions throughout our sports betting experience is to be used on doing sports betting. Regular involvement in sports betting will teach us to adapt how to manage our emotions along the way.
33  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which of these betting Statements Do you Agree or Disagree With? on: March 01, 2024, 09:00:13 PM
1. Don't bet all your money on one bet.
2. Bet the same amount on every bet.
3. Don't bet more than once a day.
4. Don't bet every day.

All statements make sense but most gamblers aren't able to follow the SET AMOUNT because temptation is always there.

If they win, they will continue. If they lose, they will continue. No difference at all and the statements above won't be executed properly.

Let's put it this way, KNOW YOUR LIMIT. Regardless of the amount a gambler will spend, they should realize that there should be a LIMIT.
34  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does having children have an influence on gambling habits? on: March 01, 2024, 08:16:40 PM
Now for a second question: it seems that more men than women play, could this have something to do with managing the family budget? Would mothers be more involved in managing the family budget?

Can you elaborate clearly on what you are trying to ask? Sorry if I'm too slow lol.

How does it go to manage the budget concerns when it comes to more men being involved in gambling?

As much as I want to understand the second question, the question doesn't have to do with gambling in general or anything about gambling habits.
35  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it possible to inherit a gambling debt? on: March 01, 2024, 08:06:34 PM
Could it be talked through in the law court?

Yes if the said contract between both parties is legal and the agreement is witnessed by both parties' respective attorneys. If not, they are just wasting their time. As per the case in our country, no one is punishable by law by having a debt and can't also ask the person's family or relatives to pay the loan on the borrower's behalf in case of the latter's passing away.

I'm not sure if the legal court honors the contract of the parties that are both individuals and was only signed by a written signature with no legal person to witness the loan agreement. In that case, the lender can't force the borrower's family to pay the loan in case of death.

36  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The shocking rate of women interested in gambling. on: February 29, 2024, 09:30:38 PM
I don't understand how it became shocking and surprising to see the growing number of women who were interested in gambling. Gambling is for everyone regardless of gender. In the first place, women are not prohibited to be involved in gambling. It's just that women are not used to being involved in gambling but generation changes as we progress.

Gambling can be considered as a form of entertainment whether online gambling or physical gambling. When we say entertainment, it also includes social community and everyone is welcome to join. Let's normalize already that in today's gambling, more women will be involved, not to compete with the number of men but that's how social interaction works.
37  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling games that gives you an exciting experience on: February 29, 2024, 09:10:10 PM
What is your favorite gambling game and what are the reasons that made you prefer it over the rest?

Talking about sports betting, as far as most bettors' experience is concerned, they bet on a specific sport because they know and are familiar with it.

It means before they got involved in gambling or sports betting, they were already a follower of that said sport.

Their knowledge about the game itself and familiarity with teams, players, and everything, gives them an advantage to make a good analysis that can be used on picking the right bet. As a newbie bettor, you won't try betting on sports you are not familiar with, right?
38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning more casinos or gamblers? on: February 29, 2024, 08:47:16 PM
Casinos have algorithms and systems that allow them to set how much money a gambler can win for them to still stay in business after that. All their wins and jackpots and stuff are all decided after careful consideration and they aren't just allowing everyone to win as much as they can, there is always a limit to that which most gamblers barely notice or understand.

I doubt about that. In a legit physical casino, especially if the name is big and popular, all machines are regulated and follow a fair system. These machines are undergoing regular maintenance and calibration to ensure the fairness of the game. A casino that already established a big name in the gambling business will not ruin its business by cheating its players.

Gamblers lose because of random algorithms and fair chances and not because casinos have to set it on their own for their benefit. We should not blame the system whenever we lose but accept the fact that gambling won't be called gambling if winning is just an easy piece of candy.
39  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: your perception about gambling on: February 29, 2024, 08:29:13 PM
This idea actually started when i saw a pastor playing bet9ja after a brief evangelism and one elderly woman made a side comment ( That even man of GOD also play gamble) .

They are human after all although if that type of person (pastor or any religious head) enters the gambling world, they should at least try to make it secret since they are handling a responsibility for their religion. I can compare it to the status of some police officers and personnel where in most countries, they are prohibited from being involved in gambling but the truth, is most of them are involved in gambling but not just showing or exposing it to the public.

But the question is, is it a big deal for us? Just follow your perception and don't mind other people.
40  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it ethical to break your gambling rules on: February 29, 2024, 08:18:48 PM
So this led me to ask the general public if I am gambling too much, although this excess didn't affect my finances in any way since I still managed to come out with little winning at the end of the day and at some level, my losses are still below 30 percent of my set out money.

Try to look at all sides. Maybe you just think that you are not currently in excessive gambling just because you can still manage your finances but in reality, there are unnoticeable things you just missed to point out. Anyway, the fact that you are in still control and able to post that issue here, it means you are all good, somehow.

The best thing to consider now is to take a break from gambling since I think you are confused too much about your current gambling situation. It's better to gamble once you don't have any issues or concerns as that might affect your gambling experience instead of just focusing on making a profit while having fun. Having such worries might result in a distraction.
