1) ETC is more like BTC in more ways and ways to come in the future it has a roadmap to implement a fix coin cap of about 210-230mil ETC just like BTC    a max amount of ETC.
2) An investment fund from Barry Silbert (gray scale) is about to be announced

3) 2.8dollars p/ETC is cheap in my opinion you should get some no risk at all it could go to 5-10 range soon!!

HI, It's one of the favorite alts to hedge against BTC atm? maybe also the reason for this? or do you see any other reason for this?

my goal (2cents) is to own by 2020:

   2.1  BTC done              (own 10.000.000/1 part of ever existing BTC ever)

    21  BTC done              (own   1.000.000/1 part of ever existing BTC ever)

   210 BTC almost there    (own      100.000/1 part of ever existing BTC ever)

 2100 BTC "most wanted goal in my life" own 10.000/1 part of all BTC ever by 2020

All these "coins" come with an extra 0,11111111 satoshi's units so you'll be a billionair by then
