21  Economy / Gambling / Re: I would like to place a $1,000,000 bet on: May 17, 2024, 10:22:05 AM
I would like to place a $1,000,000 bet on an upcoming football (soccer) match. The match is in Sweden (Superettan) tomorrow and the odds I am looking to bet are 1.88. So I will win $880,000.

Where can I place this bet? Don’t say Stake because they already banned me.

I will assume that OP really has 1 million USD and he's willing to make a bet. Grin Because why not? Random millionaires are making posts on Bitcointalk.org asking where to bet their millions. This is completely normal. Grin
OP, you say that you will win 880K USD, but what if you lose 1 million? Are you 100% sure that your bet is going to win? Is the match fixed?
Stake banning a user, who is willing to make large bets? Seems like the opposite of what every normal online casino would do. Maybe OP can't prove the origin of those funds and maybe they are laundered money that were gathered via criminal activities. Who knows? Grin
22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: May 17, 2024, 07:04:30 AM
Leverkusen winning the Europa League would be a glorious ending for the best season in Leverkusen's history.
However, the record of 49 games without a loss might come to an end in the most inappropriate time.
Atalanta was really weak against Juventus, but the Italian teams should never be underestimated.
To be honest, the Europa League final seems totally unpredictable and I cannot decide which team is going to win.
I would like to see a 120 minute game with many goals and a penalty shootout at the end.

Decentralized Nature: This means that no single entity such as a government or bank has control over it,and this makes it resistant to corruption or interference by any centralized authorities.

Security: Bitcoin uses cryptography to secure the transactions that happens in the network making it highly resistant to fraud and hacks.

Limited supply:  Bitcoin has a fixed supply of coins of over 21 million that makes it not inflated and scarce like fiat currencies.

Potential adoption:  Generally a massive number of business owners and individuals are accepting Bitcoin as a mode of payments thereby reducing it's demise.

I would be very careful when using the word "always". So you say that Bitcoin and the BTC blockchain could even survive some nuclear Apocalypse and the destruction of planet Earth? Really? I wonder how Bitcoin and the BTC blockchain are going to work when the electricity grids and the internet start shutting down. Maybe OP has a ground breaking idea about how to make the blockchain work without electricity and internet connection. Grin
OP, you are using the term "scarce" is a wrong way. Bitcoin is scarce, not the fiat currencies.
24  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: There is no crypto version of Cloudflare? on: May 16, 2024, 11:37:49 AM
So I'm sure you all are very familiar with the two services Cloudflare and DDoS-Guard. These two services protect your server from incoming DDoS traffic that will disrupt your operations. It is true that the service plans for these websites that actually provide this functionality are quite pricey, but they both only take card payments.

I know quite a few crypto websites that would benefit from this kind of service if only they could pay in cryptocurrency.

Do you mean that the owners of those "few crypto websites" can't convert their crypto into fiat and can't pay for the service offered by Cloudflare? Really? Grin
What do you mean by "crypto version of Cloudflare"? The DDOS protection service offered by Cloudflare has nothing to do with the crypto industry or blockchain technology in general. It's Cloudflare's choice about whether or not to accept crypto payments. I guess that they won't be getting any new customers simply by adding crypto payments, so there's no point for them to do such thing.
25  Economy / Economics / Re: Hyperinflation - Will it lead Countries to Adopt Bitcoin? on: May 16, 2024, 11:08:17 AM
The short answer to your question is NO. Bitcoin is a volatile financial asset and a store of value. It's like asking the question "Will the country adopt gold in order to replace a hyperinflated fiat national currency?" Of course not. You have to remind yourself about the Thomas Gresham's law that states "bad money always pushes good money out of circulation". It's better to spend worthless Argentinian pesos for goods and services, rather than spending BTC or gold. The Argentinian pesos might lose value tomorrow, while BTC and gold will most likely increase their value in the future.

Under the same principle it might be best to just not login to your gambling account on mobile.

If you have  pressing obligations, if you have a strict budget or limits, which to be real we all do in some way or another, it's best to compartmentalize your gambling also. Only do it at a certain spot on a certain machine. Don't bring it everywhere and don't open up the possibility of playing everywhere all the time.

What about all the gamblers, who don't gamble on their mobile devices? This won't change anything for them. I usually don't use my smartphone to gamble.
Doing gambling "at a certain spot on a certain machine" doesn't change anything as well. What really matters is how much money are you spending on gambling and does it change your mental/emotional condition. A hardcore gambling addict could still gamble 2-3 hours a day on a certain laptop/PC, but he might be spending ridiculous amounts of money and getting in big debt.
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is going to happen Biden orders remove of Chinese-owned crypto Miner? on: May 16, 2024, 06:22:08 AM
United States President Joe Biden has signed an order preventing a China-linked crypto mining firm, to see more of this News you can click in the link below 👇👇👇

https://cointelegraph.com/news/biden-orders-removal-chinese-owned-crypto-miner-near-missile-base

But what the president is doing i don't think, is going to end well with Chinese this is going to affect their business over there and more people. Even if they move out crypto at missile base it'll surely not change anything cause the Chinese crypto are really helping out there. I don't know what's your opinion towards this? Or maybe the Chinese are trespassing?

The short answer is one. Nothing! Nothing is going to happen to Bitcoin and the crypto industry in general.
AFAIK, the US authorities want the crypto mining firm to relocate it's facilities. They aren't shutting down the mining firm, they just want it to change it's location. This is some useless FUD/"fake drama"/clickbait news by Cointelegraph. I don't know whether or not the Chinese are spying on the US military base near them. Maybe they do. In that case, the decision made by the US authorities is completely right.

If you want that go take your time and think what the 1% might be doing now ?

Maybe you could enlighten us about what the 1% are currently doing. Do you have some secret information? Are you hanging out with Top 100 billionaires? Because I definitely don't know what the 1% is doing and I don't spend my time hanging out with billionaires.
What are the current global trends, that could make the most money for the investors? Here's my list:
1.AI and the microchip industry. NVIDIA stocks went from 35 USD to 900 USD in about 5 years.
2.The "green agenda". Solar panels, wind turbines, electric vehicles, etc...
3.The war industrial complex. You know, WORLD WAR III is coming and all that BS....
4.Bitcoin and crypto probably? Who knows? Grin
29  Economy / Gambling / Re: Poker bot profiles on: May 15, 2024, 07:00:34 AM

Why would someone buy a bot profile? I am just curious. If a real player is not in a table then where is the excitement of the game? Is it even allowed to use bot?

Maybe some people think that a bot, that is programmed to play poker would bring them consistent money. Grin
So far, I have never seen a successful poker bot. Maybe OP is going to be the first guy in the world to solve poker by creating a poker bot, that wins consistently. Grin The global gambling industry is about to be ruined by bots and AI, I guess. Grin
I'm surprised that this forum thread hasn't been deleted. What if OP is simply scamming his buyers by selling them a fake "poker bot"?
Such forum thread is somewhat related to gambling, but I think that it should be moved to the Marketplace section of Bitcointalk.
30  Other / Archival / Re: Is there any way getting Bitcoin loan without collateral on: May 15, 2024, 06:10:59 AM
Hello,
All traditional bank gives personal loan without collateral just by verifying and keeping some documents.
Is there any way doing the same for Bitcoin?

Really? I thought that the "traditional" banks require someone to guarantee the personal loan for you. So if you don't repay the personal loan, somebody has to repay the loan instead of you. Grin The banks aren't that dumb and they don't give away money to the people just like that.
The same thing applies to all the "payday loan" companies, which don't have a banking license.
Good luck trying to find someone, who will lend you a cryptocurrency(that has irreversible transactions) without a collateral.
The world might be full with intellectually challenged people, but I'm sure that you won't be able to find such dumbass.
31  Economy / Economics / Re: I assume that 30 year bull circle will be replaced by 10-20 year bear circle on: May 14, 2024, 10:49:07 AM
If you want to print money without equal to productivity of printed money amount in the real world then there is two ways how you can do that.
1.You keep inflating the assets and real estate prices so they go up and rates go lower.
2.asset prices going down rates going up.
Off course the rates never goes up right to way at the end of the bull circle the smarter money want to exit safely so the market start slowly making lower highs and keep getting rates inside the 20-30 year time frame of bear market more the ratio of higher rates higher than lower rates.
We are at the end of the 30 year bull circle so the next circle will be higher rates and lower asset prices.

If you want to print money "without equal to productivity" then you just have to be the United States of America and your currency has to be the global currency. That's how you export your inflation to the global economy and the global economy buys your national currency, because the global economy needs your currency for global transactions. Grin I know it sounds stupid, but this is the FIAT financial world we live in.
Higher interest rates make the government debt more expensive. Do you really believe that the Federal Reserve will keep the interest rates higher in the long run. I don't think so. The USA has to pay 1 trillion USD per year for it's federal debt. This is an absurd amount of money.
32  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people lose in gambling and still go ahead and bet more? on: May 14, 2024, 06:42:10 AM
I've a friend of mine who always complain that ever since he started gambling he haven't won a good amount, instead he'll be winning less money than what he expected but he can't stop. So I'm asking what do you suggest he should do at this case. For me I told him that he should know that gambling it's a game of risk and luck, but with the constant betting you might win the amount you've at mind someday. So what are your suggestions towards this.

This is called "chasing the big wins" I guess. When a gambler wins small money, he starts chasing a big win, when he loses, he starts "chasing the loss" in order to recover his money and even win a decent profit. This doesn't end well. Don't give him false hope that he will just make a big win and quit afterwards.
Complaining that you aren't winning enough out of gambling seems stupid and immature. What does he expect? The casino giving him money because he's so cool? Grin
You didn't tell us what kind of gambling games does your friend play? Is it dice, slots, roulette or is it poker or blackjack?
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Metaplanet Makes Bitcoin a Reserve Asset As Japan’s Debt Mountain Grows on: May 14, 2024, 05:53:29 AM
I don't know anything about this Metaplanet company and I don't know should I care about this company at all.
Trying to hedge against your own country's growing government debt with BTC only seems like an impossible task. A growing government debt means that the government could sooner or later raise the taxes on all companies and citizens. Bitcoin's price volatility makes things a little bit complicated. What if the BTC price crashes, after the government raises the taxes? This means that Bitcoin doesn't work as a safe heaven asset and a hedge. The right approach would be diversifying the company's asset portfolio with different assets like gold, real estate, commodities and crypto.

When we had economy Crisis 2022 then there was report that Luxury cars had record sales offf course easy credit from the Banks
Banks don't care they can print the s..t out of the world

What "economy crisis" did you have in 2022? I don't remember having an "economy crisis" back in 2022. Grin There was high inflation back then, nothing more.
I don't know what's the point of writing such wall of text/word salad. Can't you just summarize your thoughts in a few sentences.
Yeah, rich people are "not smart". I wonder why they are rich after all. Grin And yes, everyone is borrowing money and the global economy is based out of debt. The fiat financial system will collapse in several years(or maybe decades) and we will wake up in a brand new financial world. I don't know if Bitcoin/crypto is going to be the solution for this problem. Maybe yes, or maybe no. Let's wait and see what will happen.

35  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it proper for younger ones to gamble? on: May 13, 2024, 07:28:35 AM
Because nowadays the younger ones take gambling more seriously then school. Yesterday i got back home early so I decided to step out and go to a betting shop to catch some fun while gambling, I saw two teenagers gambling with their school uniforms on them.

I asked someone besides me why did they allow this boy's to come in with their uniforms and gamble, he said did they put any restrictions that younger ones are not allowed to gamble. I said but it's not normal, I replied him what if this are your kids would you be happy seeing them gambling with their uniforms on them. So what do you guys think about this situation at hand now.

You are asking a rhetorical question here. Should kids/teenagers be allowed to smoke, drink alcohol, watch porn? Of course not, but the teenagers are doing it anyway, because nobody can stop them.
The offline casinos that allow teenagers to gamble should be fined. The problem is that the authorities, that have to impose control are corrupted. My idea is that there has to be some sort of "secret gamblers", just like mystery shoppers, which are hired by the gambling regulators to visit offline casinos and spy on them. That might be a good method of gathering information on whether or not the offline casinos are allowing kids/teenagers to gamble.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fixed supply doesn't matter (change my mind) on: May 13, 2024, 06:47:46 AM
If fixed supply can be infinitely inflated (when it comes to price) and thus creating a bubble that can burst, it is not being different from supply that is not fixed.

Example, current Bitcoin price inflated by Tether printer with no real backing.

Fixed supply of BTC doesn't matter, when the price can be infinitely inflated by Tether printer.

Inflation means fiat money losing value, not BTC having higher price. You are using the term "inflation" in a wrong way.
Financial bubbles are normal for assets that have lower supply and higher(of fluctuating) demand. I don't care about the BTC price going up and down and price bubbles being formed on the BTC market. If you hate price bubbles, just use some altcoin with an infinite supply.
Tether is being used by the crypto traders for their own convenience. The crypto traders could sell or buy altcoins for tether as well.
Why do you think that Tether is boosting the Bitcoin price only?
37  Economy / Economics / Re: Choosing Between the IMF, World Bank, or Direct Borrowing on: May 12, 2024, 10:30:29 AM

There many countries that are in debts to the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. When countries are facing financial constraints  and need funding to fix their economy they approach lenders of which these the IMF and World Bank fall into these group. I know that during the covid-19 pandemic the IMF loaned some countries money to solve the problem that came along with it.

Question
How does a country determined  which of these organizations to approach for funds. If these institutions are always availed to receive. Some countries are not going through these structures rather they borrow directly from the bank of another country. Which is better?

The countries that are seeking loans from the IMF are going this because they can't get loans from banks or from issuing government bonds.
Those countries usually have a very bad debt structure and no bank is going to give them a loan with a decent interest rate.
A country, that has good finances would never seek loans from the International Monetary Fund, because the IMF loans come with very harsh requirements, like tax reforms, cutting government costs, privatization and other kinds of political reforms.
38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: They put an end to online gambling: what do you think it's going to happen? on: May 12, 2024, 06:37:47 AM
Earlier this morning I was going to work in a bus I over heard, some one complaining very badly that if the government tries to put an end to gambling. That many people will die in hungry with this our economy which nothing is working, no work for people food are at higher amount in their and some people are benefiting from gambling this days, that mostly him his benefiting from gambling.

That with $200 he can stake and win about $100000 daily something that you won't even struggle to get, they can't even pay someone at work monthly up to that amount. So if their is no more online gambling that means definitely there won't be no more gambling at all. So how will you cope in your country if eventually they put an end to online gambling?

Banning something doesn't mean that it will stop existing. Illegal drugs like cocaine and heroin are banned for decades, but drug addicts are still a thing. Illegal gambling has been existing for decades(in the countries where gambling is banned).
Banning online gambling seems like the dumbest idea ever. How can you stop a gambler from using a VPN/proxy and accessing a foreign online casino(in a jurisdiction where online gambling is legal)? The government simply can't stop gamblers from changing their IP addresses.
The idea that gambling gives the people hope to get some easy money is true, but at the same time, I think that it's kinda dumb.
Just don't expect to make consistent money by playing gambling games(and don't expect to become a millionaire). It will most likely never happen.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should there be a way to register your wallet with the government? on: May 12, 2024, 05:54:56 AM
Quote
I believe that if we were able to register our wallets, together with the public keys associated with them, but we kept the private keys secret, then most of the declared objections would no longer be relevant. Of course this would need to be an optional registration, but taking advantage of it could help to expand the use of Bitcoin.

Why would anyone wanna register his/her BTC wallet with the government? If this is going to be optional, I highly doubt that anyone would agree to do such thing. Having trust in your government is the dumbest thing. I personally don't trust my government and I want to keep my assets as far away from my government as possible. Having such a "BTC wallet register" would be a recipe for disaster in the corrupt countries, where the corrupt government officials would try to force your to give them all your assets in one way or another.
40  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: LocalMonero/Agoradesk to be taken down on: May 10, 2024, 10:23:04 AM
I remember browsing the offers on Localmonero 2 or 3 years ago. All of them seemed really sketchy and I thought that Localmonero is a scam platform back then. Maybe I was wrong. Anyways, all centralized non-KYC exchange platforms will have to be taken down and go out of business at some point. I'm surprised that Paxful is still around, even though they require KYC. I remember that Paxful announced that they will shut down in March or April 2023, but they started working again in May 2023. Their shut down was more about a court case between Ray Youssef and one of his business partners and not about regulatory pressure or crime investigations.
