Withdrawal symptoms will be unavoidable in the (thankfully short) off season for BSFL. Cro2 shouldn't be allowed to rest.
What off-season? BSFL isn't stopping man Smiley As long as there are sports, questions will continue to come. It will run parallel to Last Man standing but will have other sports as well. Last Man is Euro only promo.

Oh what, is there really not even a week's break? After 4 seasons I should know but somehow always thought there was a week or two, but hey, no break makes me happy. Cro2 sold sleep to the devil Wink

BSFL is more brutal than all FIFA and EUFA competitions joined together, there is no summer holiday for our players Sad

They should implement stricter FIFA-ing and UEFA-ing to be honest. I think clubs are getting too lax these days. Financial wrongdoing? Ah it's okay, we'll pay the fine, and join the Super League, bye!

BSFL would kick members out and get fresh blood in. No club is too big.

I just discovered that I'm actually up against you for this round, I really didn't check who my opponent is prior to this moment...

How about a 1mBTC side bet to entice our respective teams... Or we could go for the loser to pay the other's Euro pool fee, what say ya ?

I may live to regret this, but yes, let's do that! Loser pay pool fee, then we also save an input for them Wink
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: May 20, 2024, 09:19:37 PM
Congrats!
It is very nice to see my man buwaytress winning yellow cap this round, and I was not that far behind him.
Four members had exact same 11.5 points like him, and I had 10.5 that moved me up by one position.
One more round left in La Liga and last chance for someone to break the record of 20 points  Grin

If I get the freebet in time, I'll make sure it goes into the Leeds/Saints playoff final in honour of your love for EFL. And then top it off with an acca on La Liga final day (if it all lands within 3 days, that is). I like these pools, really. Where else can you get a consolation prize every week practically worth your buy-in fee?

20 points. Time for some of cryptofrka's Hail Marys on my last picks!

Thank you for the fun, Trofo, icopress and the sponsors. Bastards keep on winning, the way things must be! I say this every season, that I'll do better... and you must admit, I am doing slightly better every season. As Trofo remarked, I'm kidding myself if I'm saying I'll not join the next.

Thank you, buwaytress, for always showing an interest in making things around you work despite the fact that you are not very good at it. That is what I consider to be sacrifice and passion for the game. You never disappoint.

Thank you for the recognition. It's so easy to take money from me, really, guys. See how Ige just makes me feel good about it, repeat that and I will cough it up.

CLS63 hope you enjoyed my donation =)

2 VARS left, no harm to submit early so can use one of the calls up if need be. The questions, I have to say, very good spread. But because I don't know the sports involved, feels a bit too uncertain to take risks. These bracket/playoff formats always feel a bit straightforward to me, thanks to eSports heh heh

I didn't think I would say this, but I actually missed having some results to check out last week, having being kicked out of that cup by slackovic in that preliminary round.

Withdrawal symptoms will be unavoidable in the (thankfully short) off season for BSFL. Cro2 shouldn't be allowed to rest.
26  Economy / Speculation / Re: Donate $100 the day bitcoin hits $100k. on: May 20, 2024, 06:12:51 PM
We really just need a compelling name that could go trending on X/Twitter.

The liability would be too much to ask someone on forum to do, so it'd have to be someone wealthy enough OR someone who could get the backing of assurance/insurance (in case, you never know).

There have been some crypto funds in the past with clout. Pineapple Fund springs to mind. Their choice of organisation to donate to sat right with me too.

But if anyone wants to really come together and do something with a limited amount of liability and multisig...
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Runes are now worthless and have killed Ordinals too on: May 20, 2024, 03:58:18 PM
Crypto tokens and NFTs and all that sort of stuff are generally worthless. These things only have worth is they have use. For 99% of this stuff the "use" is for the creator to try to market the thing to get rich quick. Once that is done the use is gone.

Thing with alts (and runes/ordinals really are just very poor versions of alts, themselves generally poor implementations of cryptocurrency) is they've always done things counter logical.

Bitcoin's utility lay in its solution to existing money problems. Altcoins utility lay in creating solutions, then searching for problems to fit into the solution.

Not to say there isn't past success in manufacturing utility. But these collectibility utility is getting really quite old.

Well done all you boys! You enjoy your winnings, I'll be back to provide as much resistance as I can to all your bastards. I recall there being 20 prize spots? So I actually missed 20th by a bit. But who cares, I loved every bit of the season.

Harkorede, please tell me you played these results in the EPL Jackpot on Sportsbet? Think many of us got 8/10 or 9/10, there were zero draws, that's when I usually do well =)

I'm actually still digesting, just watched every bit of the post-game, then rewatched a bit of here and there. I actually feel much better about next season now. Call it the Klopp effect, but he was just so happy and enthusiastic I took his messages to heart. Aaarneee Slot da da da da daaah...
29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2024 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: May 19, 2024, 05:26:38 PM
Three yellow caps, and a few people all half a point behind, but I somehow managed to only score 12 points. Some things you know you just aren't built for, F1 seems to be one of these things for me! Oh, Tsunoda...

Once Again Max got the poleposition, this time as underdog.
Perez is always the same failure and he will probably sacked at the end of the season, maybe for Sainz.

Is this a fair outcome and therefore good riddance? I can't tell =)
30  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: May 19, 2024, 03:44:29 PM
Man City scored already barely few minutes into the game, I sure that have probably taking away Arsenals hope, but there is still more 85 minutes to play for.

Eh yeah, at 1-0 it was already flying away, after Foden's second, I think Arsenal would be deflated hearing the news. Was really hoping for a bit more drama but I guess we get what we get. To be fair, Trofo's saying they're playing very well, so you can't really deny the best team in the league the title.

I look back on our weird losses to Spurs and missed chance to win against City as key to our fallaway, not to mention losing to... Everton.

But don't want to be sour grapes. We were supposed to be rebuilding, not fighting for the title!
31  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +97043 units on: May 18, 2024, 10:31:07 PM
100 unit at Sportsbet on West Ham to WIN vs Manchester City @22..40. Other odds: 21.20. Units advantage: 120
Damn, that one would be a proper finish to the season. There is no way it is happening since West Ham has looked bad lately and I feel City can score as many goals as they want against them.

Crystal Palace is the team in form and I am just sorry they aren't playing against City or Arsenal away this week. That would have been my long-shot punt but with a solid chance of landing.

Couldn't agree more. If the odds weren't so shit on City, I'd actually say bet all your Bitcoin and house on them. They have never choked in the Premier League under Pep. Ever since the title fight depended on them winning on the final day, ever since Aguerooooooo... they have won, won and won. Against far more illustrious opponents. I still can't get over them 2 goals down to Villa with 15 minutes to go, Liverpool seemed destined, and then they score 3 and make us hurt.

You're right about Palace, they are favourites against Villa for good reason, but such is the fate of Arsenal that they must somehow hope for magic from Moyes's final game. But such narratives would be legendary, and for part of that reason, I am drawn to this bet.
32  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 18, 2024, 08:41:14 PM
I am close to leaving this game I did it a long time .

The problem for me was 2012 to 2017 I did not believe it as much as
I should have.

So even though I have made 100,000's of thousands it would have been a lot more by simply posting a signature and holding the coin.

Some times you get discouraged at what you did with it even though you made decent coin you feel it should have been way more.

I do look back and laugh at all my various failed ploys to be smart. A little investment here, a little gambling there, a little carelessness elsewhere... I was only in this since 2016 but I "joined" only because I was actually convinced by personal experience. So it helped that I did DCA until 2020, it allowed me to afford the big emergency of 2020 I had.

But had I, as you say, simply earned from a signature and held my coin, and did nothing else, I'd be many zeroes in today.

I comprehend that disappointment, but I put to you that still, to walk on your own terms --  I hope that's something you'll continue to appreciate even with wistful hindsight.

I reckon I could convince her to take the Orange Pill.

Long as you're the one feeding it Wink
33  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: May 18, 2024, 08:02:41 PM
Early thanks to hilariousandco for the pool, and the Euros coming too!

It has been a while since final match doesn't mean anything for Liverpool but perhaps it was always meant to be. Just the way Gerrard's slip paved the way for Klopp, so may a relaxed farewell prepare the way for Slot to slot right in.

We both know you will play everything. I like to start all the pools then about mid-season, I sort of half the number and give more time to those where I am doing good. Good result in one pool, pays several years of buy-ins to all pools so I think we are all deeply in the green. Even without counting the free bets.

I'm too dumb for my own good, but like I said and you agree: these pools are highly +EV. You only need to win one to pay off losing all of them for a few seasons, there's really no reason to NOT play in any. But I might do some adjustments like you say. See where I am mid-season, and then "neglect" the ones you're not in with a good chance.

Fair to say, I more or less neglected Bundesliga and F1 early -- but my FPL disaster is almost certainly my own fault.

I do find the competitions highly +EV so I've always played every season

This is the first season in which I didn't miss a single round and my results are great. I will walk away with ~5k$ in prizes so yeah - I'll be playing these for the foreseeable future.
The best R:R in the industry Grin

It does seem so long ago when I placed in EPL, Serie A, and missed La Liga prize by half a point, so I could comfortably lose every season until 2028 or something and still be in the black. Just didn't expect to have such a fallow couple of years after that, but AFCON provided a very nice boost to my confidence.

Now I need to make sure I don't miss points by missing picks in at least 1 round. Happens every season, I blame Superbru as I don't think I ever forget, but there are rounds where somehow my picks weren't saved, so now have to make sure am in habit of checking on match day.
34  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Bundesliga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: May 18, 2024, 03:33:14 PM
to ensure that all participants submit their picks on time on the last matchday, here is the list of participants who have not yet made it:
Ha, this is the first time I wasn't tagged Smiley Managed to put my predictions a couple of minutes before your check.

Last GW, picks entered, special tactics employed. Nothing less then winning the round and climbing at least to 4th place will not please the board  Cool

Damn! I forgot about this. Saw the tag, but was out, device didn't have kicktipp credentials, and then too busy to do the necessary. Or, I couldn't be arsed enough to take away a potential freebet from one of you, who knows?

Good luck to you bastards, Leverkusen are two games away from immortality. Hoffenheim smacked Bayern one last time to give Stuttgart a nice end to the season. Bochum confirms the playoff so we aren't entirely finished with the season.

Still, see you bastards in a few months, hopefully.
35  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: May 18, 2024, 11:43:29 AM
A very cool prize worth several thousand dollars waiting for the winner of this pool, and elsewhere, while I look up and wonder what I might have done better (not much).

Amid all the disappointment from most of us here, anyone realise Juventus fired Allegri after winning Coppa? That's not even half the story... would never have imagined Allegri being capable of stripper-inspired jacket-tearing antics.
36  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 17, 2024, 09:44:56 PM
philipma1957 I haven't met someone on the forum wanting to walk away since 2017. This guy actually did walk (and that was at 10k).

When I actually had some, I set mine on date or price or emergency target. The date's still a halving away at least. The price who knows. The emergency arrived in late 2020... I think no matter what, it's nice to walk on your own terms.

Is that me and Sydney Sweenie when Bitcoin hits 100k?

She ain't waiting for 100k to tap your ass my man.
37  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EFL English Championship League 2023/2024 on: May 17, 2024, 08:18:00 PM
Already 1 goal up early. Should be fairly straightforward from here on.
Yeah it was easy 4:0 win for Leeds, and now they are waiting for winner of Southmapton vs West Brom that is played tomorrow.
I didnt expect Leeds to win so easy but they fully dominated every aspect of that match and they deserved to be in play-off final.

Think both Leeds and Southampton deserve it, just less so than Leicester and Ipswich at the end of the day. I do fear for the one that won't make it through (currently, this seems like Saints)... it's hard enough to survive relegation for a season, not sure what it does to try so hard, reach the playoff and fail. Potentially back-breaking.

Good luck with your betting. I'm sitting this one out, but might opt for a live bet on whichever team in the final playoff concedes first. I'll try to end the season gracefully...

38  Economy / Speculation / Re: another ATH , 71k and still climbing. on: May 17, 2024, 07:29:50 PM
Only $70k? Have the massive Bitcoin bulls become so conservative or are pickings just too slim elsewhere?
That's right, Happy 2024 still has quite a long time and there is still a chance to print a new ATH.

You perhaps didn't quite get the spirit of my post, heh. A new ATH this year is the general consensus, really. Post halving and all that, buoyed by an unexpected pre-halving ATH and ETF euphoria, tag on an unexpected boom for the US economy, you've got a cocktail brewing. Just not sure people will like the withdrawal after that. A crash now rather than later could innoculate some of the blowback, that's how I always feel with these cycles.
39  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +97043 units on: May 17, 2024, 04:16:58 PM
How rare is it these days to get a 20/1+ odd game against City? They will win the treble, that is as certain as a memecoin emerging from a vile coccoon today, but I will look back fondly on a West Ham upset versus Arsenal and final day romanticism of EPL to take this bet on City to finally slip up when it matters the most. Yes, I do love spamming against City. It's just where the value is, though, isn't it?

100 unit at Sportsbet on West Ham to WIN vs Manchester City @22..40. Other odds: 21.20. Units advantage: 120

Running advantage after 87 bets: +8618 (+120)
All-time cumulative: +98,388
Running units after 86 bets (6W|80L): -4629 (-300)

I’m doing OK in buwaytress’s Rollbit CL Superbru pool. I’m set to get a paid position in that but overall I suck in most of the pools for the last few seasons.

I am probably going to be break even with the Rollbit pool prize when the other entry fees are added up. I guess you have to be in it to win it but maybe I’ll not be in all of them next season.

It does seem to be getting more difficult each season, but that's to be expected as the veterans who stay seem to know what they're doing, the newcomers seem to also know their shit, then we get found out (though it's not inaccurate to say Superbru is a lot of luck so you got that too).

I do find the competitions highly +EV so I've always played every season but it does seem like I'll need to trim down at some point -- the recent BSFL slip was rare but it was coming... so many things to juggle and something's bound to give. Definitely not even about the fee, but about being a good competitor to others too, eh?

That said, I'll be doing all I can to make sure you're in everything haha.
