Welcome!! Are you another Max groupie or are you with most of this group and supporting anyone not named Max? Smiley
Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm supporting a person not named Max but I will probably pick him in the picks just because of how he dominates the current F1. I think the first race would set the expectations.  Shocked

Hello and welcome, and to everyone joining for the first time. Probably the youngest Superbru pool on forum, and I feel like has a different energy.

Also not supporting someone named Max but only because I'm a neutral and just always want someone else to win.

I have gotten over my Yuki infatuation though, so Max always on my picks no matter what (unless early races rule him out) and then I play roll the dice with the Gaslys, Piastris, Alonsos...
322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: February 29, 2024, 06:03:35 PM
my pick for tonight is 3:1 for Inter so that means Inter is loosing the game for sure.

Maybe something for you to put money on buwaytress.

We're aligning in our thinking a lot this week -- scary! 3:1 was also mine and I needed Atalanta to at least get a goal back to give me the Close score I needed to level with famLFC, but it was not to be. Not complaining about the points at all, 15.5 away from Saint-loup's magnificent 300 is not so bad.

sliding in the pool as always, not sure why, but I start solid in Calcio, and then simply go down with time

I can't find historical results, Superbru career page only shows Global ranking... top 50% in my first season, then top 2% in second season, then top 40% last season. Must be an alternating pattern, so I'm winning this pool this season? Haha
323  Economy / Speculation / Re: The market smells of bitcoin halving. 54 day left! on: February 29, 2024, 04:40:54 PM
Still feel like it doesn't suit Bitcoin to post an ATH before halving but maybe we'll buck the diminishing returns peak this one?

Last bull peak was 3.45x the previous one. So to buck diminishing returns price will need to peak at or above $69k x 3.45 = $238k. Yeah that's not gonna happen haha.
~
So basically, diminishing returns is gonna continue, but that doesn't mean we won't still get a very nice bull run over $150k next year.

More tongue-in-cheek when I said that than anything else! I even feel the big six-digits is a stretch in this upcoming cycle, let alone this near-halving that more and more people are warming up to. Next year's always been the feeling for me, backed by little more than my faith in post-halving cycle.

Like SkepticalChemist says above, I understand why it's happening, but can't comprehend how people think what makes sense to them is the reason behind the market valuation when it's just that weight of speculation. As it is, already getting a number of "I told you sos" and I can't wait for a crash to quiet things down for a little while heh.

325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: February 28, 2024, 09:47:15 PM
Waiting for you losers to tag me this weekend, everything is going to plan, including Atletico appearing in the finals. Shocking so many people picked United to cover handicap, only Trofo thought like me. Too bad Casemiro saved your scrawny ass, cryptofrka.

Newcastle United is another bad team that no one talks about; it appears that the entire rebuild is going down the drain. I hope it's not another Fulham and QPR story. (Got rich take over and became shit the next season).

@buwaytress - OMG! Brother!  Grin

Blud, that team thought they could survive without new buys. Still think they made a mistake letting go St Maximin in what was apparently some kind of weird financial dealing, and hoping they could rely on guys like Almiron to keep on overperforming. I still like watching them though, QPR were horrible to watch...

Did any of you that couldn't find markets actually went and clicked on the link I posted? They were under sports specials not  specials. Those are two different categories on SB.

Yeah, I checked every possible place under Sports specials (it's even bookmarked for me as I like to check the page). I placed bets every time this came out except this final, but I think it's possible I checked too late (before deadline though!).

Would have loved to get more free money, but I would have been absolutely torn as both chi20 and Hhampuz are my favourites picks in cup.
326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 28, 2024, 09:13:47 PM
Well done capt'n on the yellow cap... just checking in to remind everyone that United are struggling against Forest, they'll probably be thankful it's just the FA Cup.

Leicester were fun to watch last night and so are Southampton tonight, but have to say unlike the Foxes, I don't recognise the Saints lineup! That aside, the sneaky, sneaky deflected Koumas goal aside, the match stats doesn't look kindly on the Reds but if you're watching the game, we're playing far better football. Course, I'm biased to high heaven but we're slicker off the ball, more aggressive, and somehow more nimble. We do look a shade more lightweight though, I'm just wincing every time there's a 50-50 as our kids look like they'll snap.

Second half more of the same so far...
327  Economy / Speculation / Re: Something is seriously wrong with bitcoin markets. No liquidity? Should we sell? on: February 28, 2024, 08:08:58 PM
Why are "we" worried though?

I don't have 2 coins, but even if I had 200 or 2000, I guarantee that would sell at the drop of a hat in whatever liquidity situation there is. Conversely, if I wanted to plop down money to buy 2 or 2000, I'm almost certain I could approach my P2P network and it'd get done fairly quickly.

Do you really think ETF sellers will sell if they don't have underlying Bitcoin? They'd just get IOUs.
328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: February 28, 2024, 07:17:15 PM
Wow. When Georgian Maradona and Osimhen are properly fit and in form, they remind us why they devastated defences everywhere. 6-1 away win, and ensuring no one comes away with more than 1 point in this game. What a way to wrap up their week. And I'm still in the running for yellow cap (yay!) only half a point behind famLFC. Doubt we've got the same score prediction, so it's going to be really worth watching if you're not on the FA Cup ties Wink

Only reason we asked all that info at sign up. Who would chase 40 plus address for payment. This way I post a spreadsheet and tag everyone if they want it changed.

My advice, add it to the form in last round.

I actually asked for it last edition too, very few people added it, but you're right, I'll now make it a mandatory entry in the next submission form haha. Great tip, should have thought about it before, every round it's a headache trying to chase people to give them money!

^ Thank you for the help arallmuus, just let me know if you guys need help finding it later but as it so happens, el_che's finally replied to me with his username, so I've just only now submitted your names for the freebets. You should see them shortly!

P.S. Yes, it seems quite some hassle to chase some of you down! I'll start asking for wallet addresses after the semifinals, and will it be harsh if people don't reply after 2 PMs to socialise the winnings? justkiddingnotreally

hilarious making a silent strike, well done!

No Prem League tonight but can be fun to watch a throwback Prem on this Leicester-Bournemouth clash. Niggly affair so far, more injuries than goals, good to see Coady, Albrighton, Vestergaard... even... Chowdry (sp.). Just waiting for Vardy to pop up in the next leg, I guess!

Strewth, fellas! After a bloomin' long kip and battling through a bit of crook health, it's a ripper to be back with ya all! Fair dinkum, hope's what keeps the cogs turnin', eh? I reckon if the big fella upstairs gives us a fair shake, I'll be chuckin' me hat in the ring for the next season. Cheers to catchin' up, mates!

Churrrr gawds Supremo, ye been so chocker meddling with health forgot where ye true chook bros are. So stoked dis Bruce is back whaling wit the rest of us. What dis about leaving fate to the big invisible wanker in the sky, you do us a solid and smash your razoos right ere man.

Anyway, submitted my answers. Cls63 and buwaytress that will probably be free money for you since I answered all with just gut feeling and spent less then minute in total.
Nice read as usual, quite some big names to have been relegated for real, I don't want to believe Division 1 will be easier by that because every player that have gotten promoted to division 1 have always been a real pain in the butts.

Hey, hey, free money incoming from Trofo, CLS63, Harkorede, slaman29 and cryptofrka! Helps me compensate all the times I'm giving free money to Igebotz all season haha.

Read the article, some bittersweet moments every season, some of my favourite people are no longer competing with me, but I welcome fresh meat to eat... or maybe they'll start chewing my tough meat! But if anything is to go by, half Div1 were people who fought tooth and nail to get there. It's going to be bloody next season.

P.S. I don't see the specials. I usually bet on Hhampuz and Chi20, not sure where to go this time, having won every special BSFL market.

Hmm. So a new ATH before the halving in just under 60 days? I'm getting used to seeing new milestones and trends broken within a halving cycle, but this to me feels a lot more significant than the "crash will never go below the previous ATH" trend I thought was pretty big.

Still feel like it doesn't suit Bitcoin to post an ATH before halving but maybe we'll buck the diminishing returns peak this one?
337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: February 26, 2024, 09:15:19 PM
Man, I was a hair's length from restoring Bowen into my squad, but opted to save 2 points -- then he goes and does a brace within 8 minutes. Then again, it's not like I'm chasing down any other spots, so not sure why I feel bad about it.

Edit: Hattrick. Takes FPL flail and self-flagellates...

I'm keeping KdB though, spent enough to bring him on, and I know he's not 100% but he doesn't really need to be. Bonus? If City and him keep stumbling, I win elsewhere. How's that for a hedge, universe?
338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: February 26, 2024, 07:52:04 PM
The time I actually think Roma can score 3 goals, they also can let in 2. Had to be a late own goal too, ruining my exact score and missing out on being just half a point away from 5th. Noticed that bullrunbro got the wooden spoon, which makes our current leader Saint-loup that much harder to catch.

Not sure what I was thinking when picking Lazio to lose away, but the match's just started, so hope I was right in backing the book!
339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 26, 2024, 02:44:54 PM
whoa, we got point deduction reduction to 6 points
not much, but it looks great, since that puts us above relegation line for 5 points

expected to get at least one point reduced, but ended up with 4, just enough to forget late equilazer by Brigthon on Saturday

I came in here just to post about that but should have known a Blue boy would get here first. I think it's a great development -- but it really begs the question of the FA on just when and how we'll ever get clarity. League table cannot be shifting throughout the season, depending on how clubs react, how they appeal, etc.

Now if you can just find a way to get DCL back on track scoring again... you can put this all behind you.

Luton gutted, naturally but Rob already says they can't be relying on deductions anyway.
340  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 Official Partner of Newcastle United Football Club on: February 26, 2024, 01:23:34 PM
I thought Liverpool had no chance after min 80 when I have seen the substitutions Klopp had to made. On the other side Chelsea had much stronger bench, or maybe i should say much more expensive bench. Big win for Liverpool, congrats guys, i know a lot of you are supporting them here  Grin

Yeah, was ready to lose, Kelleher kept us in the game so often I thought our luck was going to run out. Thankfully, Chelsea's finishing was as bad as ours. It was just so strange that they didn't overpower our kids. You talk about killer instinct, City, Arsenal, even Spurs would have smelled blood and ripped our teens to shreds.

Still waiting for Sportsbet to put up a quadruple special for me to lose more money. My bet settled as a loss because there was no other market when I placed this bet (only 1x2). Made a fresh acca even though odds are lower, but FA Cup outrights still not available.

What a dick move from your provider. I would get away from that company asap. You can't stop transmission at moment like that.

Yeah I sent a complaint I doubt I'm getting anything, it's really dumb but there's ONE provider if you want to get things the proper channel -- which isn't even in English. I get that they have time slots etc but this was a final; it's bad enough they hardly show much of the pre- and post-match talks etc. but resorting to Google for ET was crap.

I owe Kelleher an apology too, also Endo who I was very critical of early in the season. Considering all the injuries and the fact we had to play so many inexperienced kids, winning that cup final was one of Klopp’s biggest achievements at LFC.

Yeah, we're asking a lot from them. What's worse is these five 20-yr olds and below are probably going to have to keep playing for us in Europa, FA Cup and EPL. We just don't have enough fit/healthy players. Another ridiculous aspect here is that bookmaker odds for Liverpool outrights have gone down with each injury. Liverpool are very, very poor value bets now. Who would ever bet on a team half-filled with inexperienced kids or deputies for anything less than 3/1 (besides us)?

Good luck with bets, everyone, most exciting season yet for many teams? Chelsea and United around 20/1 to qualify for top 4...
