Just popping in here to leave a belated review of this service, which I engaged for this (ongoing) event: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5408229. In summary, 50 participants submit responses collected with Google Forms. Depending on football match outcomes, they earn points. Josue created an excel sheet with minimal intervention. One only needs to: - enter the match outcomes - paste a portion of responses from players The Excel automatically tallies points by stage, as well as a compiled leaderboard. The working version is linked in OP of the thread I shared above. As a bonus, Josue is communicative, pleasant to work with and charges a fair rate. This not even acknowledging his being an asset to the forum. Highly recommended!

Ah man, Danydee come on, giving Woodie a free pass! And if I'm looking at the spreadsheet, we're missing 12 players. I did see all Div1 players are present, as is the standard. That's bad, guys, come on! === Sick logo, I asked notblox1 for a slightly simpler variation as it'll look easier in small 35x35... current logo in that dimension is unrecognisable. 25x35 because of portrait logo: Original in 80p width, because I like: I was really lazy in my picks, I didn't even look up odds except for DOTA and that seemed straightforward! Tennis, went with the seeds but backed No. 2. Good article read as always, Trofo. I wouldn't have known the new players otherwise. Welcome aboard PedroCunhaYori and shogun47, maybe Spack17?

Greetings, UCL punters, submissions for Matchday 3 are now open! I've submitted my responses first, despite wishing I could wait a little, but no harm, maybe early picks are more clear-headed? Please enter your picks for both events. Both event deadlines are kickoff, 16:45 UTC (forum time) on 24 October. Late match submissions won't be counted. Remember to fill in bitcointalk usernames exactly as it is =) Rollbit.com had a pretty cool promo last week -- I took advantage and won my refund (if Harry Kane had scored I'd have taken a cool $250 instead, too bad. I'll be sure to update if they offer it again, I'm sure they will. Tagging all participants. What an overestimation of Azer / underestimation of Austria that turned out to be, haha. To be fair, it was a slim victory for the favourite. I'm not about to give up on the Central Asians yet and I feel like Finland deserves to lose this one, if only because Pukki must be in his golden twilight now? 100 units at Sportsbet on Kazakhstan to WIN vs Finland @8.04. Other odds: 7.80 Units advantage: 24 Running advantage after 21 bets: +2097 (+24) All-time cumulative: +92,047 Running units after 20 bets (2W|18L): -216 (-100)

My situation wasn't looking too dire just a few races ago but sitting in 9th place and with circuits quickly running out, I might have to take some wild risks in the next three... though one misstep would put me out of contention for good. Piastri, anyone? According to the media, Perez has an ultimatum of 2 GPs to keep his spot.
Whoever that might be I can say with 100% conviction that he will be much better than Perez recent 7-8 races and that is great news for all of us who want at least to see some competition even though this competition maybe between team mates I kind of feel like that's really harsh on the guy, it's an unusual season for Max and I'd have waited another one (that's why I'm not managing F1 teams, huh) before pulling the plug. Suppose Perez hasn't exactly endeared himself to the hierarchy anyway.

I'll post the submission sheet for MD3 tomorrow so everyone gets a week to answer. My eye's already on another United loss, so fingers crossed and double-crossed. Did anyone win anything nice from the Rollbit promo? I just used my freebet today -- a bit unfortunate that you can only put it on a single, or I'd have acca'd it to death. I like upsets but $50 is not what I bet on them =) P.S. Let's try not to reply with a quote-wall on this thread eh guys? As in, don't quote entire posts on each other... it's just lazy =)

Thanks for keeping this updated cygan. I'm reading but... I don't get it. Still interesting if that makes sense =) Why not make a simple escrow tool The problem with escrow is that it needs "some input" from real life. If I buy a collectible coin, the only way for the escrow to know for sure the seller sent it, is by personally verifying it. I don't think this can be automated in case there's a dispute. I understand that. But in a real life escrow, the funds are held by a person as well. In a simple purchase (forum's main use of escrow), the escrower validates receipt by buyer with real-life input before releasing. He handles dispute as well. I don't think we take that away. But in BitVM's example, are also real-life inputs, but funds timelocked under no-one's custody. And released if time expires with no disputes. It doesn't remove the role of escrower, it simply automates some parts I imagine, and reduces risk for escrower. Escrow publishes smart contract. Buyer activates it. Smart contract seals the deal, locks the funds. In case escrower dies or goes rogue, funds will always be released to seller after timelock expiry, escrow fee also automatically paid out. I agree. I understand the idea and objective of this BitVM, but what is its real use for Bitcoin users' daily lives?
It's like Excel claiming they can automate functions, but guys like me find it too complicated. But you could build form/formula templates where you enter what you need being done, and it does its job. Or just like the Ordinal inscription example I mentioned above. As soon as a simple tool was created for dumb use, the market flooded with BRC20s (for better or worse, the point is, the tool brought the idea to practical and easy use). So BitVM, just like RSK 6 years ago, claiming smart contracts is nice to hear, but until absolute non-techies like me have a tool to use, it won't make sense.

So much about Latvia haha. I guess Turkey really is coming out of the doldrums, huh? But we go again, and this time, I return to my Central Asian value at home vs a dangerous Austria. It's pretty straightforward to me, this team has beaten Jordan, while Austria have drawn Moldova... 100 units at Sportsbet on Azerbaijan to WIN vs Austria @10.46. Other odds: 9.70 Units advantage: 76 Running advantage after 20 bets: +2073 (+76) All-time cumulative: +92,023 Running units after 19 bets (2W|17L): -116 (-100)

Hello fellas, it's your resident "don't worry about this guy in FPL" guy.
nelson some weeks back was insistent that Darwin gets more starting time and despite more wincing in his last game (missing sitter and inadvertent assist) at least he's still the most lethal contributor vs game time. I say this more with faith than with certainty, of course.
I'm also doing my final Brighton purge. Estupinan red-carded anyway helps me, but of course I still hope they get a result from City. Any advice for a defender? From Chelski maybe who's not James? Or is Arsenal bad timing?

^Sweet UFC promo, I don;t recall there ever being one other than highlight match markets for African combat sports, and this one's quite generous as it's the value of the acca, rather than the stake itself. Anyone else is having problem in placing bets? It seems the place bet button is disabled and I can not place a bet. There is a warning icon at the top right corner, but it does not show any information. It was not there before.
I get a similar error every now and then where I can't place bets. Quickest solution is to get on with Live Support. They reset something and you're good to go in a minute. Netherlands are in real trouble, looking at their starting XI I couldn’t believe how low quality it is, in comparison to when I was growing up. Gone are the likes of Bergkamp, Seedorf, Stam, Davids and now they start with Weghourst.
The story of many people older than me about the Dutch team's game is that the Dutch style of football that was their trademark when Koeman and other names like Bergkamp and Seedorf were still actively playing has disappeared. I'm just a 20 year old football fan, of course I don't really know the style of play of the Dutch national team in question. I was just going to say that you don't have to look so far back to see total football -- they were by far my fav team in 2008 EURO, it was the last tournament I followed properly for several years as I worked for a long stretch without internet/tv but they smashed Italy and France, but didn't go far either... then I remember if you're 20 now, you were 5 then! En route to winning Nations League (ironically under Koeman), we saw some hints of total football again, to the point they played VVD as striker! But he was literally trying every page in the book, and they were so bad then, France and England underestimated them, plus, NL is a glorified friendly. They still got great players. Hardly as pretty as the names LFC_Bitcoin mentioned but Koeman is a destroyer of aggression. He dismantled Barca after NL, then inexplicably returned to finish them off haha. Weghorst is a particular type of striker that's the antithesis to total football... a shame on their tradition.

Understood, Cro2. Don't particularly adjust my styles from week to week but it's important, I agree, to maintain standards. A reminder every now and then for us participants can't hurt.

Fantastic news. New season, new hope, new opponents, new stories.
Visual upgrade should look nice and give a bit more personal touches to our teams.
LTU_btc we open our accounts. Feel free to take a break =) May the best bastard win.

LTU_btc Happy for your win, hope you had some cash from that. The nice thing about rare wins us that you can really savour them. They probably make for good reminiscing too, huh.
CLS63 saw your acca just missed by a leg. Same here, but I had mine on Sportsbet free insurance and it goes on... Latvia heh heh

LL, good to see you back and keen to resume things. Guys like me and Rare have always been silent appreciators in our own way, but personally, I think this is one of the originals -- you've had your ups and downs but I remember BV's ups a lot. The public bankroll, in particular, bore very good memories for me. Look forward to seeing things up again!

Pleased to see gamblers like Trofo and KTChampions were in line with Spain losing -- and it was one VAR decision away from reality, wasn't it? Too bad Denmark showed up last night. Many one-sided affairs tonight and usually, my money's with Turkey but after an upset of their own this week against Croatia, could they slip up against Latvia, who, despite playing with 10 men the home leg, almost snatched a draw? 100 units at Sportsbet on Latvia to WIN vs Turkey @24.10. Other odds: 22.0 Units advantage: 210 Running advantage after 19 bets: +1997 (+210) All-time cumulative: +91,947 Running units after 18 bets (2W|16L): -16 (-200)

Bolt yeah, I was, as usual, looking for upsets so I went fir bigger ones against Spain and Denmark, but I missed out on Bulgaria.
Don't think the odds were that good for Lithuania, though... do you recall what they were so I can mourn my unrealised win? Haha

I do tire of people thinking a long wait means months or a couple of years too...
A long wait it 10 or more years. Anything under 10 years is not very long. The us gov say 1 year is longterm , but reality is more than a year is long term. Yes, sir. It's really something that a lot of people come into Bitcoin thinking of long waits that pale in comparison with what long-term investment really means conventionally. What's absurd is all this against the background of Bitcoin's relatively short lifetime, and getting "tired" of waiting when the network's just coming into maturity.

I didn't know that you and LCF_Bitcoin are supporting the same club. Borneo Headhunters project officially started. With this exotic feedback you sent me, some extraordinary logo must come out from notblox1 production factory. Please give me few days to come up with something interesting. Yeah, quite a number of us Reds on the forum, and I'm very fortunate to have watched a game at Anfield, hopefully when I retire I can try to match LFC_Bitcoin's attendance haha. Borneo Headhunters is the name of my old 5-side, back when I played almost daily. Also, it's where I'm from, and who my people are Only 200,000 of us in this world, and we have a heavy tribal tattoo culture, I'm sure Google helps you. My main choice of colours comes from this: Obviously, very busy tribal motif of the rhinoceros hornbill, I don't expect this but hope it inspires you. Great work on Slam's logos! I think BSFL will reflect the huge diversity of its participants.
