21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble right after coronavirus outbreaks? on: March 22, 2020, 03:14:07 PM
Actually, I do gamble still despite of the lockdowns but only through online platforms in order to avoid physical interactions. I find it more convenient than going to actual casinos because I hate the smell of smoke the cigarette although I do miss the experience and the ambiance as well as holding your chips and having the 'feeling' of gambling for real. But I would rather choose to be safe than to just enjoy the experience. Also, online gambling allows me to play whenever I would like to which is a plus point.
After lockdown or quarantine or after this virus ends, will you go to casino places immediately or will you wait for some days before going?

In my case, I wouldn't be focussing on gambling since there will be a lot of catching up that we will be doing after all of this. I think I will wait for weeks, maybe months since I will be really busy calculating grades since there are a lot of students not completing the requirements needed. I might still continue gambling online though, not on casinos but just gambling online.
Indeed true. Many people would mind things that the problem have stopped such as their businesses and works. More of prioritizing things that should be prioritized. People would more likely focus on things that would put them back to their feet once again, and I don't think gambling is the main thing unless your primary source of income is gambling itself.
Well, Why not? Because I think one month is quite too long for us to not try to gamble physically, but for me, I personally consider gambling online, even if there is an outbreak or after the COVID. The reason is because, I find the satisfaction I could get when playing as the same for both physical gambling and online. But with the games such as poker, black jack and other card games, I will consider playing online, the reason is that, virus might still be intact to the cards or other physical equipment that are shared by other players.
Gambling upon the end of the 'virus' won't be advisable because, there could still be 'left overs' from the virus. So just to be sure, give it a month before doing so, if ever you have plans of engaging immediately into casinos.

23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play gambling that require skills and techniques. on: March 20, 2020, 05:28:00 PM
According to the article you posted;

- Bingo??
- Craps??
- Roulette??
- Lottery??
- Video Poker??

Almost half of the games you mentioned in your blog is luck based game, so there's no skills or techniques needed obviously.
Indeed true, but i think, there's really no gambling game which onlu requires skills and technique. Wehther we like it or not, luck would always be a part of the game. The only gambling game I know wherein skills would be necessary is, sportsbetting. Observation and alaysis would be a good thing to do in sportsbetting because a gambler could base on the win-loss record of the team or player he would engage himself with. But if you would be unlucky, things could still fall apart.
Except card games I am not sure any other gambling games require any skills. Almost all of them are luck based games. Initially you can use your skills to control the game but eventually the house takes over and only luck plays. I have tried many techniques and skills but most of them won't work after some time.
Card games I think will also require luck. Good cards would give you the win and if you are not that lucky enough, you would lose the game, as simple as that. This only shows how huge luck is, as a factor in gambling. There would be days wherein the game would be in favor to the player, and days that it won't. So just enjoy your experience.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH is all set to boom now... on: March 20, 2020, 12:58:54 PM
Normal reaction when bitcoin pump, ETH would follow and good to see it recovers also.
I guess the entire market of major coins have pump today, that's a good news and hopefully a good start for bitcoin to continue to rise.

However, we are just hoping at the moment since we can't ensure that bitcoin will continue to rise.
The economy is still down, so a possibility of a dump could still happen.
This is more of a realistic view, which is more advisable than to just jump into conclusion that the bullish uptrend have already started. The best thing to do is to wait for further movements with regards to the market value of cryptos. Positive marks, if it won't be that consistent, won't trigger an uprise, in an instant.
Ethereum that always disappoint holders in a bull run dis some good move today. I am glad I was able to convince my friend to buy at $136/ETH, he is in profit now. Selling is up to him. ETH performs when least expected.
I doubt that it is just ethereum but also the major cryptos in this industry. It is not only ethereum which made a recovery for today but also bitcoin and the others. Investing at this moment would still be a good thing to do because if ever the uprise will be continuous, profit will be earned and if not, price still is low at this point so in the future, profit will be earned once bullrun occur, a win-win situation.
25  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some casino gambling tips. on: March 19, 2020, 12:08:09 PM
These are good tips in general but these won’t keep you from losing. This is just a false sense of security you are surrounding yourself with. And as with all the other false senses of security this one can bring you down in a very short amount of time.

If you stick to your pre allocated budget you can give yourself a big help in not becoming addicted.
The tips are made more likely to avoid losing that much not to just avoid losing. A typical gambler would go all out, some are even going home without anything because they have loss it too along with their gambling money. One of the tips, such as having a limit, would really be a huge help especially if a gamble has self discipline of not breaking the 'limit'.
Having a game plan will not stop the gambler to control his emotions, money management is essential for keeping balance. The limitations will be boring for average gambler but I agree knowing which games to play can help the gambler to make fun of it.

Maybe, but having a plan is much better than having nothing but relying to your luck which is hopeless. What I'm trying to state here is that your luck doesn't exist in every field in your life, sometimes we even runs out with luck, so pretty much most of the time, we're fvcked by our own decisions that we didn't even give time to think if it's gonna benefit us or not.

And about the fun that everyone of the gamblers want, for me it really doesn't matter if you're after profits, you can't have fun if you're losing, in fact, it's going to be other way around.
Luck is something cannot be manipulated. I would more prefer to anticipate losing than winning because atleast you would be mentally prepared than to end up with something opposite to what was expected to happen-winning. It would be a lot easier to accept at the end of the day that you have lost.
From time to time it's really nice to experience the ambience of gambling casino's you get to interact with more people, even meet drinking buddies and discuss strategies and have a taste of fine booze. But it is, also easily rig and manipulated and the tax deduction if ever you get a chance to win the jackpot prize.

We all have our preferences and favorites and also both has advantages. I guess this depends on the gambler.
At this moment, it won't be advisable to go out, and a little sacrifice of not feeling that 'ambiance' would save you, literally. Many establishments have been forced to stop their operation due to the virus and I won't be surprised if same thing would be implemented to casinos.
26  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you gamble? on: February 17, 2020, 03:46:46 PM
I usually play every friday because that is my "rest" for the whole week, so approximately, thrice or four times a month playing poker and roulette.
Earlier I used to gamble regularly, during those days I used to get good earning out of the same. Suddenly things changed with heavy loss, and I wasn't able to get back the lost amount. This made me spend at some time interval to lower the loss. Gambling needs to be kept in control, if one hasn't got control surely gambling isn't the right thing for them. From the beginning of the ongoing year I have decreased my spending on gambling.
Adjustment is a good thing than to try regaining the amount that you have lost because chances are high that you would end up with bigger loss as you gamble. Self control is not present to all gamblers that is why there are people who are being addicted into such activity.
Lets just say i have a strategy for gambling, i have a set aside amount from my salary that is reserved for gambling.
Weeekend sport betting is a must for me, and midweek matches too especially when there are champions league matches.

But once i exhaust my threshold amount allocated for gambling, either im in profit or not, i roll over and wait until the next month.
And it does work for me most times.

what works for you ?
Yes, it is a good idea to exit gambling, whether it is profit or loss because the double strategy always returns with losses
but in champions league matches hard to guess which team will win the match
Some people still gamble for entertainment purposes , so maybe, it does depend on the habit you are having as a player whether to quit or not.
27  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: After losing did you feel you must return the soonest to win back your losses? on: February 16, 2020, 01:48:28 PM
Gamblers would more likely go back right away to regain their loss. But that is simply frustration and greed. It would be better to rest for a while or return the other day in order to calm your feelings down that would affect your decisions while playing. Do not let your feelings affect you as you gamble because it would more likely result to bigger loss. It has something to do with "not your day" to gamble phrase.
It's a normal feeling for any gambler because no one wants to lose , so at every loss , you try to make sure you win back your money. This most times usually leads to more losses. Because you are under tension and very anxious of winning back your money. Winnings mostly don't come under pressure.
Although it does not happen all the time, but luck is the main thing in gambling. The problem is that not all people are lucky enough to be able to make a comeback after a huge loss.
Well, In any gamble is always depends how much you have exhausted to the game, I personally always have a thought of 50/50 chance to win or loss as a gambler. And i think one don't need to be emotional when it comes to this aspect, You need to compose yourself and think positive whenever you found yourself losing. Remember losing is not the end for success, you just have to restrategise your plans and come back fully to work things out to avoid future losses.
Being emotional cannot be avoided because you have lost something. What we should give focus is how will you act after a loss or how will you mage the loss.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest Crypto on: February 09, 2020, 09:09:16 AM
I am really thinking about investing over $15000 of my savings into Bitcoin. Would this be wise? Is BTC safe and stable at this point and this time?
The market behavior is going up, investing at this point would be a good idea. But before investing, make sure that it won't be a burden for you to invest such huge amount in crypto because volatility is always present in this industry. But as what I have said, investing right now is a good idea.
I am really thinking about investing over $15000 of my savings into Bitcoin. Would this be wise? Is BTC safe and stable at this point and this time?
If you think that BTC is safe, of course that's it's safe if you to investing on BTC and if you say the price of BTC is stable for now, then it can't be predicted because everything can change in an instant. you have a lot of money in your savings and if you want to invest everything into Bitcoin then I strongly support your good idea but you also have to be able to accept the risk if losing money too much of Bitcoin.
Actually, there's no stability when it comes to the market value of Bitcoin as well as other cryptos. With that being said, we should always expect that the market price could go down in no time, which serves as a risk from investing into it. But patience is all an invester would need in order to overcome the stress backdrops are giving to your investment. Because if you would further check the background of cryptos' market value, there are cryptos whose market prices are far from its market value at this moment. And from that, one could draw a conclusion whether to invest or not.

29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling: process vs outcome on: February 08, 2020, 11:56:46 AM
I'm not a fan of lotteries since it only depends on pure luck. So I guess I am a gambler who enjoys the process of the game itself than the outcome, but of course, I would enjoy winning too.

Lotteries are not something that you should consider as an investment because even though the jackpot is really high that it can entirely change your life, the chance of winning is really slim.
Well, that is the reality in gambling. This is why there is a belief that "one should gble an smount he can afford to lose" which simply implies that losing is more often certain than winning the game.
People who loves gambling has the only intention of making profits from it because there is no process involved in it all you can see the results of that draw maybe that waiting time gives adrenaline to gamblers so they love that excitement which they got from it.

But other form of gambling like sportbooks has some homework to do and can reduce the risk of losing bet amount by making the deeper analysis.

So we need to trust the process of everything, since it is more good to do that thing, we need to trust the process even it is very tiring and it can only waste our time , if we endure and make the game in a good process, we learn different strategies and tricks during the process, I think it could be very helpful indeed and it can make our outcome as good as what we expected, we need to learn in the process.

I like playing lottery because the ticket is very cheap and the winning prize is very high but there is no guaranteed to be win because it's very hard to get the exact combination that possible to result. Im playing this game sometimes not always because even I  did not win this but it is give me an excitement everytime I check the result only fee people see outcome in playing lottery when win.

lottery is very cheap, but the probability to win is too little too, among all the other players in your area or country it could be a less than 1% probability if you make a statistics to that, but yes it is fun also, but I am more into casinos, I can learn more there.

Lottery is cheap but it is like spending your money for something which can never win. I also prefer gambling because it give funs and the chance of winning is more in gambling games other than lottery. There is no process or outcome in lottery and of course no fun also.
I oppose to your statement "There is no process or outcome in lottery and of course no fun also", because every gbler has their own way of enjoying the 'game'. Some people do not prefer strategical and are more into pure luck because they are not into thinking while playing, which can be called the "lazy ones".
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what solutions do make to cover Loss on: January 25, 2020, 03:58:36 PM
Whenever facing losses after failed investments, always stay calm and think of a way that is possible to lessen the stress that is going inside your brain. Recover your loss by investing into potential cryptocurrency to lessen the chances of losses because once there are greater chances to earn profit and regain your capital upon investing into potential cryptocurrency. Lessen the amount you exert on investing for a while until you think that you have already recovered the amount you have loss from investment. Always think that whenever you do investments, keep in mind that invest only the amount that you can afford to loose. Always seek for more detailed information about the thing you wish to invest whether in cryptocurrency or in other stuff to better know its behavior before deciding to invest because the important thing you need to do is to know everything you need to know about that thing to help you decide if you will get into investment or find another one so that even you will take a risk on investment, still you can say to yourself that you are doing a right decision to lessen the chances of loosing into an investment. Presence of mind and proper handling of the situation is always in need so that you can recover from your loss.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: hardware wallets safe? on: January 25, 2020, 03:20:09 PM
Surely using hardware wallets is the best way I can think on storing up your assets because it is away from online world which means it is also far away from potential hackers that are trying to access your accounts online to steal your assets upon logging into unsecured site. Just like online wallets, hardware wallets do also provide safety features to secure your cryptocurrencies in a sense that you are still conveniently holding up your assets into your hand in which you are the one who is capable of having an access on it which makes it more private compared to online wallets. You just have to be responsible on taking good care of your seed, password or private key you have used to access your assets and be mindful not to share it to anyone. Being away from online is the safest people could think if they see that hackers are everywhere in the internet world. So using hardware wallets suits the need of a crypto user to take good care of his cryptos without worrying that anyone can access it as long as he keeps the informations private.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which altcoins are you keeping in your bag for 2020-2021 ? on: January 24, 2020, 06:53:07 PM
In my case, I am still up into holding with Ethereum despite of everything that happened. I always keep into my virtual wallet that I must always have Ethereum together with Bitcoin ever since I have started my journey in the cryptocurrency industry. I have already saw the ups and downs that Ethereum's price have experienced but still I keep on holding into it for the belief that after any downfall, it will rise up once again for it is one of the Altcoins tht have potential. Together with Ethereum, I do also hold into having Litecoin and Ripple as well for I see potential on those coins that keeps me on holding into it until now and as time will goes by.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin you love to see die soon and why? on: January 24, 2020, 06:31:35 PM
The space is getting larger and have more coins than we expect, some just makes up the numbers even after 2-3 years of launch; no use case, incompetent teams and some with team exit scam but still on exchange . I dont know why I feel they should die than than adding up to the challenge of altseason pump, dont like the sight on the coinmarketcap as well as the exchange. Some feelings for death might be different, so share your thought on this.

It is indeed that there are already lots of existing cryptocurrency coins within the market which makes it already crowded. We cannot say it is still composed of worthy and potential coins or already made up of trash and scam coins due to its massive number. For me, I do not want to drop any name of any coin that I wish to die but I do hope and wish that the existing cryptocurrency coins in the market will be cleaned in a sense that those coins that are not worthy will be gone for good and only those potential and worthy coins will remain because we do not need that much number of coins. What we need are those only useful and have the potential. Those that do not have it, must be cleanse out already for they are just keeping the market crowded and have no particular use but just to make confusion specially for those that are new in the industry. May the market be filtered into only the finest cryptocurrency because we are all be benefiting on it once it was done so that scams will have no place in this space.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Investing in Alts instead of Bitcoin for far greater returns (or losses) on: January 24, 2020, 06:01:52 PM
At the risk of going against what most Crypto investors suggest, I've decided to keep the majority of my portfolio consisting of projects from the top 20 Alts (apart from BSV and BCH which are shitcoins) working on the assumption that many of them are down by a far greater percentage in the last few years than bitcoin which has actually gone up Smiley

I'm well aware its a gamble but I'm prepared to run the risk of either making insanely large profits or losing my $2K investment especially after watching the markets the last few days, Alt prices have gone up and down faster than a hookers knickers  Grin

Your thoughts peeps? am I stupid, brave, a pathological gambler or a combination of the the three?

I would say you are that brave enough because at first, you have already know the risks it would take on investing all of your money into pure Altcoins only. Although that was experimental I think on your part, still you risk money that supposedly have the potential to grow when you part it on investing and holding into Bitcoin as well. We all know that any kind of cryptocurrency have their own potentials that are being unlocked in no time since we are in a virtual market wherein currencies move in volatility so we can never tell when and how it will happen. But if your point of view that making investment purely with Altcoins suit preference and style as well as strategy on doing investment, it will be always your choice since it was your money. But if I were you, I will still go into Bitcoin by having Altcoins as well since both are beneficial and always have a potential to grow making benefits.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Okay. What is the main factor that boosts Altcoin value? Popularity or Tech? on: January 24, 2020, 05:37:01 PM

As the subject goes, what could be the main factor?

Famous developer, Media reputation, MM... or Just technology itself?

So far, it seemed that marketing and market marking were the main factors...

Since we are inside the virtual world powered and made possible by the advent of the modern technology that keeps on developing and improving as time passes by, then for me aside from the promotion and marketing strategy which is common and must have by any project, I think the main key or the main factor that can boosts up an Altcoin price will be the technology itself because people are easily attracted into the latest technology that can make life easier and make daily situation more convenient than ever. So to attract people and raise the demand volume, it will be best to see what technology it can offer to boost the interest of the people that can make them decide on investing into that project. Then next will be the popularity because once people know about the technology they have, surely it will bring a lot of people that will raise its popularity. The combination of these two factors are relevant in boosting the price of a good project within the market.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WINNING THE GAME AGAINST BAD PROJECTS on: January 24, 2020, 04:52:57 PM
Hello guys, having been here for a while now, I feel that having a higher percentage of your portfolio on bitcoin and maybe the rest 30 or 35% on already good and established altcoins like ETH, BCH, Stellar, brave. BNB, Vchain, etc, is a good way of staying away from useless projects. I have come to an understanding that running after new promising projects always leave you heartbroken in 97times, and running after IEO to quickly make up for past losses lead to more havoc on your fund. So stick to the safe zone.

That will be a good strategy and bright concept of thinking how to lessen the possibility of being scammed by those promising projects that turns out to be a failed one. Keeping yourself inside the box or staying on the safe zone of investing which means doing investment mostly on Bitcoin and a small percentage will be parted for the Altcoins is a safe thing to do. It is because as we can observe, Bitcoin always provides safe and secured investment wherein despite of the down falls, still we can see it to recover in no time. As on the part of Altcoins, we can gradually see improvement in which we cannot totally assure if we can gain profit after a long term period of holding or not. So doing investment making up a large percentage of Bitcoin will be the safest way to do which I also do, and the remaining part is for the Altcoins of your choice which you must assure to be a potential coins good for holding so that you can secure that you can gain profit in both types of cryptocurrency on your hand that is far away from scams.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it still possible to invent certain Altcoin that can be better than Bitcoin? on: January 23, 2020, 03:54:00 PM

As the subject goes, can we expect the newly developed Altcoin that can go beyond Bitcoin?

Why are people always thinking about creating or wishing that an Altcoin can go better beyond what Bitcoin can do for us. Mostly, people do keep on comparing those type of cryptocurrency that must not be because they do possess their own unique use and value for the daily lives of the people who believes in it. Also, what can we ask more for Bitcoin? It has already a wide range of usage and is the most popular and trusted cryptocurrency we can have in this industry. Instead of creating Altcoins that can go better than Bitcoin, why don't we just brainstorm on creating and generating ideas on how we can help the world to resolve its existing problems by using the modern technology to provide modern solutions in which we can use cryptocurrency.  It can be possible to create such Altcoin but what will be the real essence of doing such when we already have Bitcoin that have wide range of usage and already existing Altcoins that can fill up those that cannot be catered by Bitcoin alone.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The future of bounty looks uncertain on: January 22, 2020, 06:04:50 PM
As of the moment, I haven't heard of anything big about bounties except for they are having a bad impression from the members of the forum due to the recent happenings wherein bounties are being used by scammers to attract potential investors and bounty hunters to promote a project that has no real value but just a trash made to make someone benefit from the investments being inserted into that project. The future of bounties really look uncertain because we cannot say if there can be possibilities that people will get interested into it once again or it will just remain a history. Due to those reasons, people have already a mindset and perception about bounties which have already generalized the thought of bad impression that they are all scams. So, with that, we cannot really tell if bounties can still have a bright future or not.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Some exchanges charges are too high on: January 22, 2020, 05:38:02 PM
How many exchanges you know of that have too high withdrawal fee? I was shocked that Dcoin exchange wants 0.001 for any bitcoin withdrawal you want to make while other exchanges charges only 5000 Satoshi for bitcoin withdrawal, I was forces to exchange my bitcoin for litecoin before getting my coins out

Different exchanges have also different withdrawal fees as well as into transaction fees to be able to complete the process needed to confirm the transaction you want to make your asset be released from any exchange into your personal crypto wallet you have provided. Not all exchanges have expensive withdrawal fees but most do have which I think also depends on the type of exchange which specially those exchanges that are well-known will surely have high rates of transaction fee. Also, the transaction fee depends on the volatility of the cryptocurrency as far as I can remember. You if you do want to withdraw your asset, be sure to roam around and explore the whole exchange before transferring your asset desired for trading. Assure that once that asset was sold, it can acquire the needed minimum amount withdrawal because it will be non sense once the amount you have sold does not meet up that limit needed to be able to withdraw your asset.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just me? on: January 22, 2020, 05:13:09 PM
January 2019 we have more bounties at that time but this year January seem to be different, very few bounty projects shows up, I'm not saying scam projects aren't around but this forum seem relieved from many junky projects like that of 2019, maybe scammers are tired of not getting answers in return? Maybe people are now smarter and scammers are starving? I so wish so 🙏 lol what about you?

That can be the possible reason. Maybe also, people are really avoiding to join or get engage in any bounties to save their own from getting scammed which scammers have noticed and it will be hard for them to create such effective schemes because even them are still exerting effort of imitating or making their so called project that has no real value make legible and promising. If they keep on creating such but no response from the crowd, they are just tiring their selves out with no pay back. It is just that there is still an after effect which might be traumatic already due to recent experiences that is why people are taking another option or way of earning profit from cryptocurrency aside from getting engage into a bounty. Also, people are still observing the Altcoin market status and project developers are waiting into such time where people will bring back their interest on earning Altcoins because as of the moment, people are focused into earning Altcoins that belong to the top ranked to assure that they can have safe and secure investment for the part of Altcoins.
