202  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.988 BTC for 180GH/s on: March 23, 2014, 08:18:27 AM
Ordered Wednesday. Still "Paid Unshipped Valid".

Some here on the forum said it is most likely shipped. Just Bitmain who hasn't updated the shipping status. Is it so hard to send me a shipping number? Seriously, is Bitmain that busy?
actually, earlier on, you would sometimes get your miners first, then tracking info. would follow....lately BITMAIN has been on fire sending units out on a consistent basis, up until this blockchain glitch put a kink in their armor.

I prefer they ship units out than send emails....yes in a perfect world you get both tracking info. email, and then your product shipped, but in this lightning speed thing we call bitcoin, time is of the essence and if emails are sacrificed for the sake of shipping, I, for one, am ok with that. GO BITMAIN....ARMY OF ANTS!!

207  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [IN STOCK] ANTMINER S1 by BITMAIN in Los Angeles, Ca USA-- SHIPS TODAY! on: March 21, 2014, 01:47:58 AM
While trying to setup I do not seem to have an IP sticker attached. Is there a way to find what the IP is?
really, they all have that sticker?

well it should be default 192.168.1.99, if not hit the reset button back to default, but I know I did it prior to sending, and I am pretty sure it had the sticker just above the fan.

ps. sometimes you do have to power cycle these once in a while if it doesn't boot up properly.

I recently purchased 5 Antminer S1s from Bitmaintech. It's been over 72 hours and I'm really concerned. My payment is still "Unpaid" and "Expired"
I sent the payment within 20 minutes of bring prompted. What the hell is going on?

My payment received 40 confirmations on the Blockchain.
I have proof that the payment was sent, and that they successfully received the payment.

I've heard that this is happening to alot of people..
I contacted the Bitmain Support, and still no reply =/

I'm super concerned.
Can anyone else relate?
no, I lucked out, but I suggest to email them, and also, they do list phone numbers. Before to check for their local time and I think it happened to alot of people, and they did make a statement regarding this.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [AUTO SWITCH] ScryptGuild (BTC Guild) Beta - Multipool Done Right on: March 20, 2014, 06:26:52 PM
There's been a lack in updates this week as I've been going over the pool to decide the proper path going forward.  Many scrypt coins are being nuked into oblivion by multipools at the moment, and profitability has dropped sharply over the last few weeks as a result.  Since the 1.6 update to DOGE, it has been 80%+ of our mining time, and about 10% WDC, and the remaining 10% split to various coins for very brief bursts (mostly MEOW/LOT due to their random block rewards occasionally spiking the expected value).

1)  I'm going to be shrinking down the number of coins the pool currently works on, by eliminating coins which are not auto-convertible.  I'll also be removing the entries for the PoW+PoS coins (FTC, NVC, TAG) until I have time to update the pool backend to differentiate between the PoW and PoW+PoS coins.  I'm giving 11 days notice (Dashboard message, so unmissable unless you completely ignore the pool) for those coins that people may have balances for.  Frycoin and Klondikecoin may or may not be fully available due to KDC having a fork with very little warning causing miners to get paid a lot more than they should have (some corrections were made but not enough), and Frycoin is currently broken beyond use for Linux as far as I can tell (permanent "Safe mode" warnings).

2)  Very minor change in reward calculations to reduce the overhead in tracking shifts.  Should be unnoticeable.

3)  Likely adding 1-2 coins to replace the coins being removed, though being very careful about which ones are added.

Depending on how the next month plays out, ScryptGuild may be changed to a more traditional pool for DOGE+LTC, with profit switching between those two (and maybe 2-3 other coins, like WDC, which have shown consistency).  Having more coins is helpful for profitability, but if that profit is too marginal, I'd much rather have a stable pool that allows seamless switching between known good coins and more consistent returns.
I had a feeling that sooner or later we would drop alot of the sillies, and stick to the top 5 alt coins or so....LTC, Doge, and maybe Aurora, casino and neocoin??
212  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.988 BTC for 180GH/s on: March 20, 2014, 06:09:52 PM
Very nice to see someone offering quality products and taking care of business around here.  I wish I had the coin fro one or two of these right now.  But when I do I know who to buy from.
and in the mean time, since they are out of ants......  Shocked
213  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech launches a new line of ASIC miners - Best W/GH/s ratio on: March 20, 2014, 06:05:33 PM
I just spent 20 minutes searching on that pdf a single 1200W reference. Nothing.
Again, the unit supports up to 1250W. This is after validating it with Emerson and thoroughly testing in our lab.
RoadStress, you're welcome to Israel. We'll do a comprehensive system DR if you're interested.
I just don't understand why you are claiming to be designed for 1200w. Why aren't you using the DS1200 model?
There is no need to use DS1200 which costs more.

Thank you for the invitation but i would like to spend my money on asics than on trips Smiley Why don't you send me one unit and i will pay for it after i receive it (i can do escrow too) and i will get all my answers then. (i know it won't happen so no need to reply about this).

All i have to do now is to wait for dogie's review. Hope to see a power measurement too.
oh you know he is gonna 'sniff' all over this!! Cheesy

ps. had they taken credit cards, I would have pulled the trigger already.....hmmm venture capital money, 8 months or more building/designing a SUPER miner, but couldn't figure out how to take credit cards?? Looking out for the customer means giving the customer everyone option, including protection on his purchase/investment with PAYPAL/C.C......wire transfer and btc payment could be like entering a black hole. just saying.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 20, 2014, 06:03:39 PM
You really think they NEED it when they are pumpin Petahashes @ the DataCenter?
I don't.

So why they don't just sell in stock units...?

pre-order = crowfunding.
end of line.
With that said....  I think the no-refund policy is a must after the last two months of FUD in here, Imagine if you were them, and had to deal with 50 refunds every time one of the trio of trolling fudsters decided to type more FUD. I imagine without them, it would be easy to offer the refunds up to shipping as normal. In other words, you can most likely thank the trolls for that policy; because they obviously aren't short on cash, and nowadays Miners change their minds more often than whores change their panties. I definitely understand the no refund policy on Titan, especially because alts & scrypt are not even mainstream, and are pre-dominantly mined by people who think coins with no actual use have a future.

Do these work with dualminer and gridseed units?
don't know about gridseeds (yet) but they do with dualminer USBs.

217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 19, 2014, 09:40:48 PM
It makes no sense whatsoever to pre-order a litecoin rig for delivery 6 months from now.

If you have $10,000 burning a hole in your pockets - buy some gpus and be mining with substantial MH in 2 to 3 days.

Then in X months time, you will still have substantial resale value in the motherboards, gpus etc and can sell them and move up to a 25MH or 50MH rig or whatever is available. PLUS you will have X months mining profits to help with the purchase!

Why put your money in the "KNC Savings and Free-Loans-For-Us Bank" for 6 months, doing nothing except earning KNC interest, when you can have your money working for YOU in 2 to 3 days?
hey that's what i did, but last year, now selling GPUs heaters and buying dualminer USBs or Gridseeds....then will upgrade to the next gen. scrypt miner....I hear someone is trying to use an Antminer and a PC to make a giant scrypt miner...possible???, we shall see.
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 19, 2014, 03:42:52 PM
The Wild West had duels to settle things...  this thread is how the wild west would look without duels
Dpos, we are prob. bored is what it is, so we are looking for entertainment since KNC hasn't given us anything to monkey around with.....we are at each others throats as if marooned on an tiny island and everyone's ready to bash eachother's head in....

so KNC, how goes the cloudhashing, our Neptunes and still no interest in a SCRYPT MINER??

ps.

mining on scryptguild.com for alt coins....I would be using a KNC scrypt machine here as I use a KNC machine for SHA on btcguild.com. Same admin for both, so I know we kick'in ass. Grin

on topic. Grin

A KNC scrypt machine..........hmmmmmmmm
joe, is that hmmm as in interesting, or hmmm as in I might be on to something?

Not implying anything. Just thought that may be a good next step for them.

Hehehehehhe
are you privy to some insight? come on you can tell and I won't tell anyone. Grin

220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [AUTO SWITCH] ScryptGuild (BTC Guild) Beta - Multipool Done Right on: March 18, 2014, 08:55:08 PM
ASIC's have really been hammering them all for sure.
The only alt coin benefiting is Litecoin.  It has made a steady rise in value for the last week or so from a low of $14 to over $19 as of today.

I had a feeling this would happen with the 1.6 dogecoin change.  It looks like ~80-90% of our time is now spent on DOGE, hopping to other coins only briefly when they either have a good block reward (MEOW/LOT), or have a difficulty drop for the KGW coins, or DOGE has a diff spike and we move off it til the next drop.

The profitability of multipools is really starting to suffer as more hash rate is being directed at them.  I'm looking to add 3 coins this week, but after that there will be a pause in new coins while I re-evaluate the pool profitability more.  I'm seeing a pretty grim future for profit switching pools given how fast coins are tanking in profitability.
my 2 satoshis for scrypt coins:

1. litecoin
2. dogecoin
3., 4., 5., are up for grabs....aurora, casinocoin and Huh
