281  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: LightningAsic usb miners based Gridseed GC3355 Tech Support Thread on: March 07, 2014, 10:12:47 AM
Go LightningAsic!

Also, people, try out SCRYPTGUILD.COM

it's a new multi coin w/ auto switch to more profitable coin Mining Pool. The admin. runs BTCGUILD. And you can auto convert to BTC, or keep the scrypt coin you want and convert those you don't. I am pointing 2MHs at it currently and will do the rest tonite.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed Miner Support/Tuning on: March 07, 2014, 10:10:55 AM
Single cgminer instance.
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://eu.middlecoin.com:3333 -u xxxxxxx -p x --gridseed-options=baud=115200,freq=800,chips=5 --hotplug 5

Thanks; will have to try it out!
yeah me too, will have to try it out on 2 on have now.

pointed 11.5mh at your pool

I like the convert to LTC idea. I will be using this.
I have been here on and off, have now committed 1MH to this guild, will be bringing the rest tonite....and I second the "I like the Convert to LTC" option to!

sorry @el, I know you have enough on your plate.
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed Miner Support/Tuning on: March 06, 2014, 03:23:19 PM
hello all. Anyone know if there is a cgminer that supports the Gridseed 5 chip in Scrypt mode only? Thanks in advance.
ps. and that also allows for the low wattage like cpuminer/minerd

And a tip for all, scryptguild.com is an up and coming Auto Switching Mining pool ran by eleuthria of BTCGUILD bitcoin fame....this Admin knows how to run a BITCOIN pool, and he has some pretty good ideas with this new scrypt pool.
285  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Open - Group Buy]Dualminer USB ASIC sha/scrypt miner $85 [USA Only][Batch #3] on: March 06, 2014, 02:44:08 PM
May want to hold off a bit on the group buy. They're lowering their prices.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=409756.0

Yeah, hey daemon, please return the BTC I sent for now and move me to reserve status for 10 and let's maybe start another GB for the better-priced miners coming out?

1PoY1bpigWqqeTkY3XErUzJvKdNubPtRVS
dyland, better priced miners??

OK followed this, when I downloaded Zadig there was nothing in the drop down menu, i had to select list all devices, now STM32 virtual com port came up and I installed the driver. I am now mining BTC side but my Scrypt side now fails even with the --dual option added to the bat file!!!

Are you sure the comport is right? I also had a DM from someone with the same error, in that case the usb port was faulty. So try a different port as well.
The USB port is fine. The PC is brand new build, The device worked before through the port before I switched this driver
To bring you up to speed, check the link below and read the comments:

I think he meant, in the batch file. You have to look in device manager for the COM port, and see what number it is assigned, and the put that in the batch file. I think that is what he means.

287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: **Breaking news** Satoshi Nakamotos identity revealed on: March 06, 2014, 01:07:13 PM
and yet we all read it and are even here posting about it. If he did say something to the effect of ' I am no longer involved,' if that quote is real, WOW!

He gave himself away which is weird for a reclusive calculating genius.
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: **Breaking news** Satoshi Nakamotos identity revealed on: March 06, 2014, 12:57:10 PM
yeah, i'd say reckless. I now know exactly where he lives, and have even contemplated going in homage and it's not even 5 am here in LA CA....I could be there in 20 mins.

I figured it out I got a power supply with more AMP's hooked it up and its now mining Smiley
don't forget to use the updated minerd software, so if you only run in SCRYPT mode, you only use 1.0 amps....I am running one with  power supply that outputs 1.1 amps just fine....gonna see if it lets me mess w/ the freq at 1.1 amps power to the unit.
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 05, 2014, 08:12:02 PM
I'm confused...

I'm pretty sure Bitcoinorama and Bitconorama are not the same person..

Also, when was the original tapeout for the chips used in the Jupiter??  It was sometime in July if I remember correctly.. so we are looking at another 3-4 months if everything goes right?

aw man, he got me there....
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 05, 2014, 07:18:04 PM
A lot of calculations done pretty fast. I don't think Jupiter and Neptune can be compared so directly - we have no idea at what clock speeds the Neptune chips will run. I am, however, almost certain it will not be the same clock as the Jupiters, so in essence we can't compare core-for-core performance.

Absolutely. There are a lot of things we STILL do not know. Instead of this being an attempt to show Neptune necessarily will hash at a theoretical 5TH, it's more meant as a counter to all the pseudo facts being thrown out in this clusterfuck of an over dramatic thread citing Neptune couldn't possibly ever ROI.

As others have said, we're not out of the woods yet.
hey bitcoinorama, glad to see you back....

btw, are you back in the U.K.? I thought I read somewhere that someone in I believe London is selling burgers and taking Dogecoin, so in case you still have that small token of appreciation you might now have a place to eat with Dogecoin. Funny, one of the guys I work with tries to buy me lunch everyone once in while, as long as I pay him back in Dogecoin.

And speaking of Alt. coins, any word if KNC will ever pursue a scrypt miner?
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 05, 2014, 07:09:37 PM
Great news!

@ Avenger, you wasted so much time over the last month spreading and speculating FUD, it was unbelievable funny how much built up anger you have.

I agree that the 20nm tapeout is great news for Knc, but they aren't out of the woods yet.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tape-out

First tapeout is rarely the end of work for the design team. Most chips will go through a set of spins in which fixes are implemented after testing the first article. Many different factors can cause a spin, including:
- The taped-out design fails final checks at the foundry due to problems manufacturing the design itself.
- The design is successfully fabricated, but the first article fails functionality tests.

Their execution was nearly flawless with 28nm chips, so the next month will show if lightning can strike twice with their 20nm product.

kendog, being that tapeout was last month, and they are now announcing it, makes me believe it was successful or they would not have said a word until they had it right.....or maybe 'PLAN B' announcement was sign that it didn't go well?
I want to believe that KNC can do it again, time is getting closer.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 05, 2014, 07:36:46 AM
anyone word at the knc forum about anything KNC related? Anyone?

295  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [In stock] Gridseed 5-chips USB miner - $259 on: March 05, 2014, 02:49:16 AM
So I was able to use a PC PSU, the PCIE especially are useful as you can use one PCIE power cable to connect to 3 devices since each pcie cable has 3x12V+ and 4xGroundm, also note you can use an ide molex to power the controller board and 1 miner, One ide Molex has 1xred wire(5V) for control board, 1xyellow wire(12v) for one miner, and 2 grounds
Hey summersideguy, any chance you could post a pic. of this setup or some diagrams for us lazy noobs?
296  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Introduction to DualMiner USB (could mine both BTC and LTC) on: March 04, 2014, 11:31:21 PM
Can anyone with a similar rig comment on stability? How often do you need physical access to your rig, and why?

Software updates will bring more stability. Stay away from windows. I currently have 99 DMs running on a Pi for over 72 hours without any failures. I was having issues for a while where a DM or two would go down and I would have to have physical access to the hubs to fix the issue. After running only 9 DMs per orico p10-u2 and some new software (still testing, should be committed to git soon) I haven't had any fail. My only downtimes have been me moving pools. Once everything is configured properly you shouldn't need physical access often.

I got 18 right now on a 49 port hub. on a windows machine with NO downtime.
I have had upto 38 on an Asicminer Hub, but it seems like one of my win7 rigs did have trouble with ghost COM ports. Must have been from all the ASICMINER Block Eruptors and Usb Antminers. But once I got that squared away, no probs. since. These seem to be pretty solid so far.

zoomhash, don't forget to ring me up where you are in town too. thanks.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 04, 2014, 06:21:39 AM
I corrected your post for you.
Now I am just as pissed at KNC as the next guy, however you do not know Bitcoinorama's situation, I on the other hand do know what is going on through a private conversations with him. I am not going to get into details except to say, I corrected your post to reflect accuaracy as I know it.

so if you're communicating with orama and you've been saying there's going to be no physical miners delivered but only cloud hashing then we should take it you know more than you're revealing.  No?

I'm sure you swore to secrecy but you should give us more of a hint if you did in fact know something that's going to help us out.

 Huh Huh Huh

Personal reasons that have nothing to do with KNC.

Personal, as in "a man of his word??"

Joe, are you waiting on any KNC gear or have you refunded?? I imagine the answer to this would be a hint, hint hint.
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 04, 2014, 06:19:27 AM
Retards.
I'll never do anything for this forum again. It's simply over-run by asshole idiots.
bon-voyage
You will be back.  You are addicted to this place and cannot stay away.
well I hope it wasn't me that pissed him off, and I think most of us appreciated phoenix's input when it came to figuring out our prototypes.

And phoenix, hope you stick around, especially if you are/will be mining with KNC hardware....just glad you got that last statement off your chest so we don't have to hear about it again.

Lesson learned for all I hope.

Cheers, and happy mining.
300  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: March 04, 2014, 05:56:15 AM
Bitmain,

Any hints/teasers about what the next machine will be? You're doing good things with S1's but there's a lot of competition on the horizon.
I can you give you a hint, it will be called the S2  Grin.....
