Ok obviously some crossed signals on the Poloniex issue. The foundation will have the logo and messaging removed immediately.
I can't wait to hear why they decided to not list us or what was the communication error :/ By the way @themeco - if we get to more exchanges the manipulation will decrease. The large price swings are because we are only at one "major" exchange at the moment. We need liquidity - getting on more exchanges will make the price more stable don't you think? Poloniex is a great exchange, but the real prize is Coinbase. One can only hope.

That moment when you realize you spent $130.00 for 10 solarcoin stickers.
Oh dear! Yes from the price deflation of the SLR, we had to reduce sticker prices again and again... New stickers have arrived and these ones we are giving away free when people buy an SLR sticker. You know, I got them in the mail and promptly lost them in the house. It wasn't until a couple of days ago I found them while cleaning. Now I have to find Nick's book which is also mysteriously misplaced. I have no doubt I'll find it though here real soon, somewhere it's not supposed to be.

I'm just happy Solarcoin is on Bittrex. There was a time the only exchange that picked it up was Allcrypt, and I thank them for that. It's unfortunate what happened with Allcrypt. I enjoyed using that exchange.
Didn't they have a blog about trying to come back during that time or something? I don't remember seeing anything about it. The farewell message on the site was a bit glum.

Having some issues with the wallet. I can't find any peers, though the chain looks healthy. Also I have to reload the entire chain every time I restart the wallet, this needs fixed.

I've lurked here for a few months, so hello everyone. I like the overall philosophy of Expanse; community driven, planned, etc. The current issues surrounding Ethereum drove me to take a closer look at Expanse. I mine a little, but that being said I tend to keep some (or most depending on the technology and people behind the coin) of what I mine unless I'm scared away, and Ethereum did just that, miners are easily spooked. For the time being I'm doing what I can to support the network with my tiny contribution. I do think Expanse is well positioned among the smart contract coins, great community, great leadership, and a conservative approach. I'm going to hang around for a while. I've been an avid gamer in the past, and since I mine I can't let this pun go... As a miner of Expanse, am I getting Exp for this?

I forked off last night. Woke up this morning with a bunch of question mark transactions and then staking once a minute. Noticed the block height didn't match the explorer's. Will clear out the Roaming folder tonight, re-download anm see if it re-syncs.
Has anyone forked off recently? The network appears to be fine anyway.
All clear here.

This seems pretty simple to me. Decentralized crypto-currencies are all about consensus. Vitalik suggested a hard fork rollback. The majority seem to want it...that's consensus!
Now roll it back.
Note - I was not affected by this DAO/ETH situation.
Thats more or less true with a soft fork, but a hard fork, is like going back in time an change the law. Example: You go into the casino and win legally 50 Million with a new technique. The casino owner is bankruped and the stock is dropping by 50%. He and his stock owners decide to go back in time and change the casino rules, so that the one, that wins the 50 Million at this day doesn't have to be payed out. Fair? But even the soft fork can be somehow discussable: The winner won the 50 Million, that can only be payed out a month later. But the Casino owner closes the casino, and sets all escrow funds on hold. In a casino, if you exploit to win, you're thrown out and blacklisted at every casino in town.

This "credibility" word gets tossed around a lot in crypto space. I doubt many people here actually know what it means.

Now that's some exposure. No pun intended. I know it is super embarrassing (of all photos!), they took a photo of me doing work and I had no idea there was a journalist there! Man, that's a great photo. Luke Floorwalker! Man of action! Thanks Corather! Without your help and awesome coding skills we wouldn't have got there! Cheers, lfloorwalker Aww shucks. I do what I can.

Yeah man, haven't ever really gone anywhere.....just haven't had much time for crypto last couple years.....busy busy with business. Won't let go of my SLR for a long time to come, she's been my fave holding since her beginning! It's REALLY cool though to see so many new faces of interest since I last checked in, what a great community that has formed here!!
It's certainly evolved. It's a great idea who's time had come, seeing as there's already projects out there doing similar things at various stages of completion. It's really quite cool to witness something from the beginning that could potentially impact certain sectors of the economy.

Damn.....this project has really started to take off, hadn't looked at the price in probably over a year....was a bit shocked when I noticed the price a few days ago! Nice to see the very first coin I ever got involved with is doing so well. My gut has refused to allow me to sell a single Solarcoin since it launched, boy am I glad I listened to it in this case!! Certainly no whale, but stoked to have my little horde of SLR:-)
IMJim! Welcome back, it's been quite a while since I've seen you on here.

I don't see poloniex really increasing the price of the coin, but I do see it changing the overall value. There will be more liquidity, and with that comes some stability so we won't see huge price swings that aren't sustainable. Plus people will be involved in arbitrage which will also stabilize the value.
