First of all, he lied about the coin implementing zerocoin because he couldn't do it, had to hire someone (just now) and using a screenshot with the name/alias cut-off as proof? All he did was copy and paste an X11 coin and named it DreamCoin. If this guy really had the skills of a crypto developer, I think he would have a different job other than an AT&T sales rep... like seriously are you guys that naive to trust this guy again? Sounds like it is, as Dreamcoin mentioned that date again tonight. So the Chinese dev will be writing the whitepaper? I doubt it. I think the chinese dev was hired for math and c++ prowess as well as the understanding of crypto-currencies all good things in this case I'm fairly positive that the presentation of the whitepaper will be handled by our dev himself |

I disagree with this. He's been online so I know he's seen some of this. By not responding he is inviting suspicion. There is no direction, no community manager here. It is a wild untamed beast. You'd be naive to think it would be any other way at this point. People will automatically assume the worst at the slightest perturbation. I find it preposterous that anyone would think the community should blindly trust anyone, no matter what they promise they can do. Only actions can prove your worthiness, nothing else. The way he is doing things right now looks suspicious. That's just a fact. That said, there is a great community here besides that, and I agree the value of this coin is ridiculous for a 1.8 million coin. However, I really don't care personally about yet another PoS coin unless this has Zerocoin. I would be excited if he turns up. Otherwise, I have better things to do than waste my time on yet another coin with no innovation.

Johnny-non why is he not commenting at all? We did a huge fundraiser and he's selling coins and not saying a peep. Obviously he can read how everyone is concerned. If anyone has talked to him they need to tell him to make a comment now or else why shouldn't we assume the worst? Everyone including Carsen especially, as someone who is in this community should know all the shady stuff going on. People are very careful to avoid these things, you can't blame them. First off i will say he gave us a time frame of when he will have news on zerocoin progress that is may 24th Secondly there are no problems with the current build of the coin as is, meaning nothing to be fixed Third he did state that he has other life responsibilities to attend to. Fourth It's been less than two days. I will say it again i would be more worried if he was spending all his time coddling all the crying here than i am about him being absent for a day or two it's the weekend he is human and more that that silence has a fair implication to being busy. I would be cautious about this until we hear from the dev next week. At this point we know he is working on it and I do believe he will get it done but, if it takes longer than expected, or there are any issues, it is just ammunition for the FUD slingers. I do think that the zerocoin approach is way better than the other approaches out there. After all crypto is supposed to be about decentralization, should not have to worry about or trust master nodes or anyone else for that matter. Zerocoin when implemented will knock the others to the curb. As far as the video, games, social medias, etc. I know it is useful and will help some but if we get zerocoin there will be no need for promotion, you would not be able to stop this if you wanted to. You make very good points and I agree on all fronts...especially on the promotion aspect. That said...I'll continue setting up the facebook page for the hell of it as it will make me feel useful to the community and perhaps find a few people. I am looking forward to the Dreampool and really hopes that starts tomorrow...I am also going to do my best to wrangle a few things so I can add a bit more funding to bounties that need bountying. I think that a lot of people have written off this coin due to the Libertycoin/Zerocoin controversy but if it is a viable/possible implementation than I would like to help support as much as I can. Too bad I can't learn code in two days... Thanks for the FB page. I think the promotion is good and we need it, but zerocoin is the cat's meow. Almost every new coin I am following is pressing hard to make their coin anonymous, most targeting the drk method. Even if a couple of them get that running before we get zerocoin the first coin with zerocoin, us hopefully, will blow them away. It is important to not overplay our hand right now and make sure we have a viable solution in place. From my perspective it will be hard to go wrong on this one. Even without zerocoin it is underpriced and has great POS return. I find it hard to believe it is as cheap as it is currently. It will not bother me if it stays at this level for a few days so I can buy some more. If the multipool hits tomorrow though, this is the cheapest you will ever see DRM. Of course any increases will depend on how much hash we can draw, but I think that will take care of itself once the price starts upward from the demand. A current money supply of 1,765,597 is ridiculously low, which is a great thing for those who hold DRM. I completely agree it's better not to spread that as a selling point until it is a selling point |

noob here, so please be gentle. is there something wrong with the richlist? http://chain.dreamcoin.me/richlist/i have better than 1100 dreams(and all of them are sweet:-)) in my wallet. wallet is running on my rig and collecting bonus. question is, why isn't my wallet listed in the richlist? it should be in 180s. i saw it there yesterday but today it's gone. did you have coins staking when you checked it? if so how many ? it would show the non staking balance |

Does the wallet has to be running to get POS ?
yes your wallet needs to be open and unlocked to claim stake, having your wallet closed or locked will not stake but your coins will still age... Still confused, does this mean I have to leave the wallet running for a whole year to get the annual stake interest ? No, your wallet has to be open to stake (it's similar to mining) but your coins will still age if it's closed.(coin age is the time they have been in your wallet) it's better for the network to leave your wallet open, however this is not mandatory to stake your coin at a later date. If there were a max age on the coins then if too much time had passed you would miss out on staking , but dream has no max age... |
