201  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Grab a Antminer S2? on: January 24, 2015, 03:03:48 AM
So lately I've bought a few miners mostly because this is simply a hobby to me and somewhat of a learning experience. The miners I have are 2 BFL Jallys (7.50 to 8.50GH) and a BFL single 50GH miner. I have been thinking about getting an S2... Thoughts?

Why do you want an S2? Out of the bitmain lineup, why that unit?

You are getting ready to make a real jump. Running XXGH when you move to XTH shit gets real (fun). In your shoes, I'd read a lot and ask some pointed questions. When you get to "this makes sense because ______" throw up your idea. You may get invaluable input without wasting money.
202  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer S5 Setup [HD] on: January 20, 2015, 06:51:56 AM
To power your new S5 which PSU or PSU's would you use? Why?

Single HX850W? Single HX750W? Single CX750M? Or twin CX600s or twin CX500Ms?

Likely overclock in the future. All PSU's are Corsairs.

thanks all

Ordered a few 0140s for older GPU rig @ >1kW draw. Works great and high-diameter clips act as a powerful heatsink with the free active cooling attachment OP allowed me to trial. A+++ seller.

Kluge,

Excited to have you on board and pleased the 0140s are working out for you. As thanks, we'd like to send some prototypes your way. Feel free to share your thoughts, but if you could keep us up to date with your actual performance numbers that will only help us help you - and all of our customers.

We will be in touch!

Thanks all for your interest. At this time we are taking the clips off-market for up to two weeks. Having agreed to meet with Prestige Worldwide we are anticipating security, R&D, as well as marketing proposals.

Back soon!

Any chance you can do a .999 silver one to match my cock piercing?

Hi, thanks very much for your inquiry.

No

Thank you!
207  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.27/GH & 0.51W/GH on: January 17, 2015, 01:15:47 AM
I will call my friend he is a cooling engineer he knows a lot about air pressure and airflow and all that stuff. and see what he says.

Or just buy a fish tank and submerge it in pure mineral oil then no fans are needed.

take a look at this way to expensive though for what these miners make.

Thanks for posting this, a video on the site answered a big question I had which was would a fan work submerged in mineral oil and the answer is yes (but much slower), wonder if a stronger motor would fair better (ie., 1 amp to 3.25 amp).  With the video, it shows that miners submerged, may just be the answer for those willing to pay for the quiet at home.  Now for the ultimate home project, wait for the C2 to be released and have 2 running in mineral oil with one radiator for the mineral oil and one for the coolant.

Seems like a simple solution exists to me. Switch from "fan mode" to "propeller mode", admittedly I know nothing of this magic fluid. It is interesting!

I believe my Antminer S5 is Dead on Arrival, I attached 4 PCI connectors and turned the power supply on and the machine does not power on. None of the black buttons are working either.

I'm using the 750 W Rosewill ATX PSU.

Anyone have any ideas?
Did you put a paper clip on your power supply ?

Are you using the right paper clip on your power supply?

Test supply, if the fan spins etc... and no miner, find the reset button and hold that and pray.

210  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 2 TH/s - AntMiner S4 by Bitmain Tech - SHA-256 - (Used) [WTS] on: January 16, 2015, 09:58:00 PM
Guys I have it in hand, I have 6 in stock

Seems a few folks consider you a scammer with claims that you stole over $500 recently. Yet not a word about any of that.

I would NOT buy from this person.
211  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Antminer S3+ on: January 16, 2015, 08:19:02 PM
Have two S3+ available now, power supplies for them are available, DPS-1200FB will power one at 120 VAC or two with 208 VAC for $35 extra for each supply. Can ship in same box with miner and I would like to net about 90-$100 after all costs. Accept paypal or BTC, escrow up to you.

Currently Bitmain has 2x S3+ Batch 11 for $298, both machines delivered. Ship to 20148
212  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Commercial grade PSU paper clip jumpers on: January 16, 2015, 08:11:26 PM
Any chance I could pay extra for some custom etching? I want my public and private keys etched onto each clip.

When it comes to taking care of the customer that is absolutely, without a doubt, our second priority.

Providing the absolute finest and most reliable clip technology is our priority. Period.

Now, of course custom etching is available. Please pm with samples / designs / ideas of the etchings, and expected quantity ordered. A member of the design team will be in touch shortly to review and discuss your ideas. After, a number of designs and renderings will be presented for your review and approval. After sufficient testing your clips will be delivered exactly to spec.

Thank you
213  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Commercial grade PSU paper clip jumpers on: January 16, 2015, 08:06:48 PM
Ok sounds like these are considerably different to regular paperclips I apologise for my ignorance.

Good luck with your sales Smiley.

Absolutely no need to apologize.

Overnight the entire game changed and I am sincerely happy that you were here to take part. In fact, those that posted in the thread will receive special offers from beta testing to prototype reviews. And if the math is right... this venture may be funded by a select few requiring small outlays with dotcom heyday returns expected.

Thanks for your well wishes!

I had a friend in materials engineering use an XRF spectrometer on the photo from the OP, and I know I shouldn't be sharing this, but the jumpers are made of [Edited by Moderator.  DO NOT disclose trade secrets or further punishment including permanent BAN will result].   This is some pretty incredible stuff, it has all the properties needed to dissipate heat, maintain consistent resistance, regulate current and sustain impacts.  I can't believe nobody came to market with this product before.  Why don't you out-source to China instead and save yourself the labour costs?  You could easily get the price down to sub $12 a piece.

Happy you disclosed the undeniable quality and performance - without compromising my operations. Trade secretes, intellectual property, the list goes on.

I refuse to outsource manufacturing - these will always be made in the USA. Thank you, but I'm proud to provide jobs here at home.

Which model do you recommend?

Which is more beautiful, a sunrise or a sunset? Each pin is simple, subtle perfection.

Please pm me with a PSU list and myself, or someone on the team, will make sure you get the right clips.
216  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Commercial grade PSU paper clip jumpers on: January 16, 2015, 02:23:03 AM
Where do you ship from? Does the free shipping include international orders?

Ships from the East Coast. Standard, priority, or they can be sent overnight as I know how it gets out there.
Can you ship ground, or at least in a lead lined packing materiel? I'm worried about the increase in radiation experienced during a commercial flight affecting the performance of the jumper.

A few thoughts - first, these would never fly commercial. Ever. And I'm glad you mentioned it - these are, of course, impervious to radiation.

Individual lockable flight cases house each pin as it leaves the workshop, full foam protection inside. Again... absolutely no detail has been overlooked.

In for 10000, send me a PM to work out details.  Not even going to ask for a bulk discount, I can see that these are obviously of the highest quality available and you're likely selling right at break-even cost.

Will PM to arrange shipping etc. Thank you and you have made one of the most important tech purchases of your life.

They are very close to break-even cost. Absolutely no expense is spared in materials, production, finish.... etc etc etc.
This is my calling in life!

SCAM!  Doesn't have his forum name on the paper in the picture.

No need for that kind of talk.

Simply admit that you want to get in on these units but they are a bit out of your price range. We can setup some sort of layaway / escrow / payment plan. I don't discriminate.
220  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Commercial grade PSU paper clip jumpers on: January 15, 2015, 05:10:43 PM
Do these help with overclocking?  What cgminer flags should I use after I install them?

Do they help with overclocking? They are essential to proper overclocking and getting the most from your PSU and mining rigs. The only cgminer flag you should use is the checkered-flag, because you are a winner when you go with these clips.

Thanks for interest, questions welcomed.
