201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FSC]FusionCoin updated! Arbitrary message & Decentralized advertisement on: June 02, 2014, 02:07:10 PM
Since we listed FSC over 7 weeks ago, there have been three trades, for a total volume of $1.02.

We'll be removing it from AllCrypt.com within a week. If you have coins there and don't want lost, please withdraw them immediately.

Server resources are too valuable to continue to list dead coins.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CACH] CACHeCoin released based on scrypt-jane on: June 02, 2014, 01:37:15 PM
User alerted us to the mandatory upgrade, however, we have no connections/no nodes.

If anyone has active nodes for 5.3 please submit a support ticket on allcrypt.com and let us know. Thanks.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][JPC]JackpotCoin, 1st Separate PoW/PoS#Jackpot#True Random#New Hash Algo! on: May 31, 2014, 01:03:01 AM
FYI Jackpot devs, your COIN value in the source code is off.

It's impossible to move/transfer/send less than 100 satoshi. Ir rounds it off. We had a user today who had a ton of withdrawals held up because his account had insufficient funds, as he bought for example 10,000.00000008 JPC, but the system rounded it off to 10,000.000000 JPC.

He went to make a withdrawal, and the wallet complained.

We poked into the code, and the COIN value was set to 1000000 instead of 100000000 like EVERY OTHER coin.

Any value less than 100 satoshi is either rounded up to 100, or down to 0.

So, basically, JPC does not have 8 decimal places, it has 6.

Unlike every other coin out there.

Thats pretty broken.

We tried to fix it internally, but the code seems to be throughout the whole wallet, and were afraid if we changed it, it would break everything else.

Really should be fixed for a future update. Almost every single user on AllCrypt who ever bought fractional JPC has a wallet that is out of sync because the internal wallet is rounding off the last 2 decimal places.

thanks for that can someone here fix that

There's nothing to fix. Did you read the other post?

This is interesting... I don't think this matters, I did a quick research, almost all the pow/pos coins that are clones/descendant of NovaCoin are defined this way. In fact, it is defined in NovaCoin and no-one ever changed it:
https://github.com/CryptoManiac/novacoin/blob/master/src/util.h

So please check other pow/pos coins, they should all be the same.
[snip]

I agree, many of the pow/pos coins are the same, and there are no issues with exchanges.

"No issues with exchanges" just means no one has noticed it, or actually CARED that the math is off, and while it's small, users are being ripped off at the exchange's benefit.

Sure, it's a small amount, but at a large trade rate, over the course of a year, that could be one heck of a lot of lost JPC. Possibly putting the exchange at risk of being insolvent. We ran the numbers. When I discovered this, AllCrypt was insolvent in JPC. Sure, it was by only a few hundred satoshi, but the wallet performs bad accounting. "Meh its not a big deal" isn't a reason to not fix it.

If our BTC accounting were off and every account "lost" a tiny amount of their BTC, no one would be saying "Whatever it's not a big deal."

Should be fixed. Regardless of the source of the bug.

207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] X13 BoostCoin █ First ever x13 PoW/PoS █ 400 BTC Volume within 1st 48 hrs! on: May 28, 2014, 02:58:57 PM
We're trying to add Boost to AllCrypt and are having a weird issue we've never seen before...

We are compiled fine. It's running. We have 2 connections.

But no blocks are downloading. Never seen that before. Version is 2.0.0.0 experimental, downloaded from github just 20 mins ago.

And now we're down to 1 connection - is that version "too new"?

try adding nodes to the config:

addnode=boost.suprnova.cc
addnode=boost.maxminers.net

for example (see pools from page 1)

Aah. OP says nodes are hardcoded and unnecessary. We're syncing now.

BoostCoin will be live on AllCrypt.com as soon as the blockchain finishes!

Very nice! We should be on a bigger exchange like cryptsy or mintpal!

We do so love the "AllCrypt sucks they are so small" from the very same people who are the first to run off and ENSURE that we stay small. Thanks for the support getting your coin off the ground, cant wait for the jump ship.

Just... some people prefer to wait in line and shop at Wal Mart to save $2. Can't do anything about that.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][JPC]JackpotCoin, 1st Separate PoW/PoS#Jackpot#True Random#New Hash Algo! on: May 24, 2014, 07:51:32 PM
Wow guys! I wanted to congratulate ya'll - JPC is the first coin on AllCrypt to hit this sort of volume. KimDotCoin (I think it was DOT?) hit 20 BTC volume BRIEFLY a few weeks ago.

We've never had a 40+ BTC volume coin before. You guys rock. Keep up the good work.

We were thinking of doing some sort of giveaway or lottery or something on Twitter to boost exposure. Is there a JPC fund for that anywhere? The AllCrypt JPC account has 107 JPC in it - hardly impressive Wink
