https://www.bitfinex.com/posts/227October 16, 2017 This message is further to our announcement of August 11, 2017, with respect to terminating our business with U.S. individual customers. As indicated in the announcement, we are terminating trading, deposits, and withdrawal functionality for U.S. individual customers by no later than November 9, 2017. U.S. customers are already barred from receiving financing from other users on Bitfinex’s peer-to-peer financing platform. This restriction will remain and, in addition, U.S. individual customers will no longer be able to provide financing on Bitfinex effective November 9, 2017. All U.S. individual users must make arrangements to withdraw their Digital Tokens by November 9th. U.S. individuals holding Recovery Right Tokens (RRTs), if any, which relate to the exchange of now-defunct BFX tokens to equity in iFinex Inc., may, starting on October 27, 2017, sell all of their RRTs on the exchange, if they so elect. This is an exception to the general terms of use for RRTs. U.S. individuals are not permitted to buy RRTs during this time period. All terms and conditions relating to the sale of any RRTs remain in full force and effect and are deemed to apply to the sale of any RRTs by U.S. individuals or otherwise. Any RRTs remaining in the hands of U.S. individual verified customers after the November 9th deadline may be sold through Bitfinex on an OTC basis through special arrangement with us. WOW!!!!! I initially thought that Bitfinex were going to restrict USA customers from fiat bank encounters and a few other asset trading restrictions - yet this announcement appears to be a complete severance of USA customers from any kind of service on their platform... ... seemingly too much liability for Bitfinex to have USA exposure... would be a prudent move for them, but gonna screw around a lot of USA folks who are currently using their platform.. and had wanted access to some of that Hong Kong based market (arbitrage or whatever). Get your coins off exchanges JJG. Stop playing with fire.

Maybe a correction in the low 4000s could be in the cards. That's what I hope at least, to buy back the couple of coins that I sold in the 5200s. I'm hoping for a correction to $6000 Oh yes, now we are talking.

I predict the price will roughly hit these highs for the following years.
2018 - $10,000 2019 - $20,000 2020 - $40,000
What are these prices based on? Nothing, just my best guess, and it's always fun to think about the future price. I think these predictions are optimistic but reasonable.
What are your price predictions for the next 3 years?
I’d be delighted if your predictions mirror the future price. I expect the next halving to cause ridiculously high prices. That’s in 2020 which is when the Olympics is being held in bitcoin loving Japan so it’s definitely moon time then. This never crossed my mind LFC! Nice!

A late and very hung-over good morning Bitcoinland.
After a day of consolidation, it seems we're on the rise again... currently $5741USD/$7158CAD (Bitcoinaverage).
AltCash going sideways at $320USD/$399CAD (Coinmarketcap).
Onward and upward. Go Bitcoin go.
Always love the Jimbo updates. I'm going to come and have a beer with you one day Jim. I'll be rich, you'll be richer.

I need your help or advice, bittrex is blocking members account I immediately removed all my funds from bittrex, but what other exchange can I use?
I need some exchange that is not equal to poloniex, bittrex or yobit.
I need a professional exchange, that answer support tickets.
what about Bitfinex and Bitstamp? Kraken? Coinbase? Depends really where in the world you are. Some are easier than others depending on this.

Saving this here for posterity: Here's a transcript of some of Dimon's comments:
"I could care less about bitcoin. I don't know why I said anything about it. The blockchain is a technology which is a good technology. We actually use it. It will be useful in a lot of different things. Gold bless the blockchain. Cryptocurrencies, digital currencies, I think are also fine. JPMorgan moves $6 trillion around the world every day, and we don't do it in cash, it's done digitally. If it can be done digitally with the blockchain, so be it. But it will still be a dollar cryptocurrency. What I have an issue with is a non-fiat cryptocurrency. So crypto sterling, euro, yen, they are all fine. I don't personally understand the value of something that has no actual value. You all can do whatever you want and I don't care.
"I could care less what bitcoin trades for, how it trades, why it trades, who trades it. If you're stupid enough to buy it, you'll pay the price for it one day. I've also told people that it can trade at $100,000 before it trades to zero. Tulip bulbs traded for $75,000 or something like that.
"The only value of bitcoin is what the other guy'll pay for it. Honestly I think there's a good chance a lot of the buyers out there are out there jazzing it up every day so that maybe you'll buy it too, and take them out.
"I quite mean that by the way. People are very good at manipulating the press these days and getting news out. Every day, you have CNBC, nonstop bitcoin — Who cares about bitcoin? The world economy's so big, JPMorgan alone, $6 trillion, we move all this money, and bitcoin in total, all these currencies, $50 billion dollars, maybe a billion dollars trades a day.
"The other thing I've always [said] about bitcoin, governments — and this is not a technological statement — governments are going to crush it one day. Governments like to know where the money is, who has it and what you're doing with it, in case you haven't noticed. Right?
"And governments like to control their currency, like to control their own economy. So China's already put curbs on it. Japan, they say Japan accepted bitcoin. No they didn't. What I gather Japan did was they call it J-coin. It's a yen cryptocurrency. It's not a non-fiat [digital currency].
"People have said legitimately ok, it's close to gold. Not really. Gold is limited, it's been around for along time. [People also say bitcoin is] close to a fiat currency. Not really. A fiat currency is when a government says this is your legal tender, you have to give it and accept it.
"And a central bank — of course they can misuse it. The central bank [can also] inflate it. So there is a use case for bitcoin. If you live in Venezuela, North Korea, if you're a criminal, great product. I mean that. It's better than cash or deposits in that country. Cuba.
"But this is the last time I'm ever going to answer questions about bitcoin because I really don't care.
"When I made that 'stupid statement' [calling bitcoin a] fraud, my daughter sent me an email saying, 'Dad, I own two bitcoins.' My formerly smart daughter."
Gold limited? Hey? Bitcoin isn't? What?

Surprised the BBC still don't have an article mentioning see passed 5k. They're usually on top of that mind of thing. Maybe tomorrow. Suggests there's still some legs in the rally.
Yeah but all that will be is how many times they mention the fact it had a drop in September or whether they mention tulips, fraud etc etc same old bullshit. Hardly any mainstream media articles or reports put bitcoin positively and if it seems like they are.... .....then they will then smack it down at the end of the article. It works though as my friends will try and discuss bitcoin with me and the first thing they will say is something mainstream media like.

I think 2018: 10k, 2019: 20k, 2020: 50k, 2021: 100k, 2022: 250k, 2023: 500k, 2024: 1M.
This is now my favourite prediction. You are 100% correct in my mind.

My question
We have been pushed back from 4900 a few times now so what resistance will there be at 5000?
I guess none, once 4900 is broken for good then 5000 may last just few minutes yeah, we can have these baby theories.. and I really think that this can all be characterized as pre $5k resistance, including the pausing at $4,900, because about a day and a half ago, we already went beyond $4,900 to $4,910.. and so there still remains a question regarding how long it will take to break above $5k.. I personally think that the relief valve will come after $5k, rather than at these pre-$5k levels.. including the floating around in the $4,700 to $4,980 territory of the past day and a half and preparing.. just preparing to break $5k.. it is all a consolidation and ensuring that the buying support is there and a base in order to spring into the $5,400 to $5,800 territory.. and then from there, we will experience another period of consolidation and resistance that might get broken easily or might not. In other words, the snake continues to coil, and to coil and to coil... could strike within the next 12 hours or it could take up to 12 days - though I am kind of thinking sooner is more likely rather than later, because she seems closer and closer to being ready... Feel it out, feel it out, feel it out.. is the support there is the support there.... ?? THEN wait wait wait a little more.... WHAAM!!!!!No % theory = not interested

How long until the next dip?
I think we will get to 5200 and then it'll sharply drop to 4500-4700 again. We will get a taste of the 5s and then back to where it's comfortable. I have nothing to back this up, it's just purely my feeling. Edit. This is ruling out any fundamentals that may arise.
