201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AMD R9 290X? on: October 08, 2013, 02:50:30 PM
Performance might be significant here for scrypt apps. Can anyone extrapolate approximate performance numbers based on 2816 shaders@1ghz (or 2560@947mhz)?

Do more texture units and ROP units matter for scrypt/sha256?
202  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BitSyncom, what compensation is planned for chip buyers/trade in customers? on: October 08, 2013, 02:45:11 PM
Since Avalon is auctioning their new 320-chip models starting at 16btc, (.05btc/chip) the chips alone are maybe worth half that.
203  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: October 08, 2013, 02:26:48 PM
It worries me that he disappeared right about the time China was rounding up a large number of "Internet Activists".

Too bad he is in Thailand and a Canadian national that is unrelated to his situation.

I will do what I can again to track down his phone number and give him a buzz and see what is up. I will try tonight and get back to the forum here tomorrow.

That is a good point. I thought Thailand was under the Republic of China? Or is it Taiwan... Either way it doesn't matter.

and I am sure that your an American, some US citizens always manage to give me a smile when it comes to geography   Grin

Edit: I don't know if asking "Or is it Taiwan" is the worst part, just saying, you guys lost a war with them... didn't they teach you that in history class ?

Starts with a T don't it? lol

China has significant sway over affairs in Thailand. Taiwan... not so much.

Anyone have new updates? working K16s with low HW error rates? Anyone with 8-chip boards have OC results? Thanks for continuing to work on this project.

Current Bitcoin Difficulty: 189,281,249
Next difficulty (estimate): 211,965,985

SB, can we please get 8-chip boards at a discount if HW error rates are not acceptable?
205  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TECHNOBIT S-HASH minig board, Technobit Nanofury and Bitfury chip distribution on: October 02, 2013, 07:38:38 PM
Can nanofury USBs be hosted? If so, what is the cost?

Thanks,
206  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: October 02, 2013, 07:35:08 PM
Thanks, SB. Looking forward to receiving either a refund or units, depending on where my refund fell.

I assume that batches 4,5 and 6 were refunded in addition to your batch. Has batch 3 shipped or is there still time to gather the required refunds to cancel it?
207  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinobit - LIVE ROULETTE - [INVEST] - BEST CASINO OF 2013 on: October 02, 2013, 04:53:07 PM

I think I have a claim to 5% of profits prior to the "investment" feature. I'm not entirely sure how much that is and I don't really want to look through the records to find out. The contract is dated May 9th when around 50btc were wagered on the site and I think the site funds were pulled prior to the investment feature at around 1500btc wagered.

Maybe this has no/little value, I don't know.

Would concur with that but did you recieve BTC back after "investment" feature, because that is on you to recover prior to investment option releasing in my opinion, ultimately you are still in a bad place.

Ultimately though you own 5% of the company and have made that public now, not just invested in it as per you apparent contract. If I was you I would not "extort" (even though you appear not to be), your 5% of the company, I would as a sign of good faith be willing to release information of Casinobit as a way to protect yourself, because now people have someone with known involvement and easily could attack you to get to him.

I received no return on my ownership stake, but I expected to. I would like to sell the stake for as much as I can get. I will only release information to the buyer.

Who in there right mind is going to pay you money for something that is going to incur them more debt in the future. If you own 5% equity of the business you inturn own 5% of there liabilities as well.

There is a significant lack of understanding about types of companies and liabilities with regard to company debt vs. profit here.
208  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinobit - LIVE ROULETTE - [INVEST] - BEST CASINO OF 2013 on: October 02, 2013, 04:20:45 PM
Also eroxors your identity is very very easy to get, if I lost coin on this my lawyer would have already been contacting you.  Post the contract and redact as much of you information as possible.

Otherwise you going to get hammered in legal costs imo.

I have nothing to hide. The ownership share is a non-voting stake as payment for a loan.

My original offer remains, I will not change it.
209  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: October 02, 2013, 04:03:34 PM
I wonder if Batch 3 is in question.... SB presumably has Batch 1 & 2 in hand now, Batch 5 & 6 are refunded.... most likely batch 4 is refunded as well. Leaving Batch 3... Yifu is now wanting to auction what he has left, so presumably he has shipped all outstanding orders (hopefully not SB batch 3!.)

Of course, just speculation until SB updates.

What amount are you looking for? What will you return?

I own 5% of Casinobit.net (non-voting share) and I am willing to sell my ownership stake to any party interested in owning a piece of the company. I have a signed contract with the owner with both of our government IDs scanned and attached. This stake was a part of a contract in exchange for an interest-free loan I provided to the site several months ago. I have not received any profits from the site. I will amend the contract indicating a transfer of ownership and send it to the buyer in PDF form. Please send offers via PM. I will only release details of the transaction to the buyer. I have substantial forum rep and rep elsewhere (heatware, hardforums, etc.) Thanks for your interest.

So basically you are offering your 5% shares for BTC to allow someone to "see" your contract and find out who Casinobit is?  Boy that is shady in my opinion.

As a 5% share holder you own 5% of the debt to creditors, imo and assuming its 300 btc your debit is 15 btc.

I think I have a claim to 5% of profits prior to the "investment" feature. I'm not entirely sure how much that is and I don't really want to look through the records to find out. With no sign of chips or boards yet I guess everyone is going to need a refund. But was the refund process already closed up some time ago? Is it too late for refunds now?

-MarkM-

I don't believe it's too late, at least according to what we know so far. You can always request one and you'll either get coins in your wallet or miners at your doorstep.
215  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TECHNOBIT S-HASH minig board, Technobit Nanofury and Bitfury chip distribution on: September 30, 2013, 06:39:20 PM
Are there other shipping options to the USA? 50+ euros is pretty steep for a few USB miners. Anyone doing a group-buy?
216  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: September 30, 2013, 01:24:04 PM
He likely has 10k chips (maybe 20k) that he's frantically trying to assemble, test, and get out the door... as long as firmware works. We might not hear anything until the first round of boards start to ship. Remember, he's set a 72-hour turnaround for himself. I'm interested to see how things progress.
217  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: September 27, 2013, 07:58:54 PM
at this point I think everyone should request refunds if they have not, I wonder if steamboat can ship back the chips?  How will he handle that?

I think so too. My guess is that Batches 1 & 2 are all that remains and my hope is that those can be processed quickly or perhaps even returned to Avalon so we can all put this behind us and move forward with a better company that actually honors customers and utilizes FIFO.
218  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: September 25, 2013, 09:22:24 PM
well I was probably one of the last hold outs, requested a refund for 64 chips in group buy #1 & groupbuy #2.  I highly doubt even if steamboat ships these by mid october we'll be able to make even 1/3 ROI.  What a shitty situation, I hope steamboat can either A. Give us a better refund for assembly. B. Secure Gen2 Avalon chips and use them for our full assembled boards.  Any idea how steamboat is refunding shipping, testing, and full assembly?  And when the refunds will commence?

100% of shipping is refunded, 25% of assembly ($95 * .25 = $23.75/board) is refunded. The extra parts (anything you paid over $95 for kits/fully assembled miners, i.e. fans, standoffs, usb cables, etc.) are being held until something is figured out. If other next-gen boards can use them, that will be offered, if not, they can be shipped to you. These refunds come from SB requesting a refund for one of his batches.

I hope more people request refunds, which will shift the focus sooner than later from the K16s to refunds and next-gen projects.

I'm keeping my credit for two assembled boards on hold for now until I hear more about Steamboat's plans.  I believe steamboat alluded that those interested in his next venture could apply the assembly straight to that and just pay the difference, if any, between this gen and next gen boards.  Did I read that wrong?

You might be right, if that's the case I think many would want to do the same thing, myself included. Those details are unclear at this point, but hopefully SB will clear them up shortly.

Yes, just fill out the form. Anyone wanting refunds are moved to the later batches, those holding steady are moved to earlier batches.
