201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we explain that the bitcoins is not a scam on: November 06, 2017, 03:59:48 PM
If someone asked you to explain to them what Bitcoin is and why its not a scam, expect a lot of question and rebuttal because if they are open minded about ideology of Bitcoin, they will understand that Bitcoin is not a scam, the one using Bitcoin is the one who can scam people. Its like a guns, guns don't kill, its the one who uses the gun, so why ban use of gun? Same with Bitcoin. Same with ICOs.
202  Economy / Economics / Re: good effect and bad effects of robots in replacing human Jobs on: November 06, 2017, 03:50:00 PM
I only see efficiency as a good side for having a robot to a humans job and maybe labor cost but in terms of quality, nothing beats the work of the human hand, precision is the advantage of having worked by human. Human intervention should always be present. If you want a quality work, both human and robot is a good combination.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone in Bitconnect? Scam coin? on: November 04, 2017, 04:35:53 AM
I got lost in the crypto Youtube world and everyone has these Bitconnect accounts and I watched a couple of videos and it sounds like a Ponzi scheme waiting to happen in a year.  What do you guys think?
Here's what Vitalik Buterin has to say about Bitconnect, when he was tagged to comment about bitconnect and it was funny that he said he is not familiar about it and only heard about it twice according to his twitter post but here's a screen shot of his comment about Bitconnect.

When I was invited to join Bitconect through a referral link that right away turned me off because I immediately thought that they are earning from inviting people to buy the coin and pass the strategy to others. Their growth is not organic. I don't think they even have a white paper to begin with.
204  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you make money if bitcoin/altcoin prices keep falling? on: November 04, 2017, 04:19:55 AM
So what do daytraders do then?  Thus daytraders are on the computer looking at the markets all the time etc.  So if everything keeps going down, how do they make money?  If prices keep dropping for a long time, then there is no money to be made right?  Or is there?  Because what do daytraders do if the market prices keep going down etc?  Sure you can buy a lot of coins at cheap prices but you don't know how long it would take to go back up etc.
Traders have different approach in every situation, they may call themselves a daytrader but in cases like whats happening today when Bitcoin is on top of everyone, some would stay at the safe side by converting their alts to BTC and wait till fork is clear. In my case I converted 60% to BTC while the remaining 40% stays in alts.
205  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is over 7000$ Should i invest now? on: November 04, 2017, 04:12:20 AM
Take your time to look at the history of price of Bitcoin. You can see for your self that when Bitcoin suffered a drop of price, it will recover, it may not be as fast like the Altcoins, eventually it recovers. There are too many instances the made Bitcoin price to go down like the Mt Gox issue is just one of them but again Bitcoin was able to regain its throne like today. So should you invest now? You should have done that as soon as heard about Bitcoin but its not too late.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Silver: December hard fork on: November 04, 2017, 04:02:46 AM
Bring it on, every time there is a hard fork price of Bitcoin goes up and if this is indeed scheduled December then to those who speculated that Bitcoin will reach $10,000 by end of this year then you may have won the bet. Altcoins are the one heavily suffering from this hard fork and this help Bitcoin gain its strength. I wonder if they are doing this in purpose to pump the price of Bitcoin and slay the Altcoins.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When the alts will up....? on: November 03, 2017, 04:09:22 PM
When the alts will up....? almost these are sleeping..? i spent around 12000$ on Alt coins like DGB,SIA,Statis,LTC,Bitshares, ripple.
now my account balance is 7000USD... i am in tense like it will come up or not...?

experts please give me a suggestions..PLS
I am not an expert in trading but I can share to you my thoughts on whats happening now with altcoins and its pretty simple. If you jave alts now, you can go ahead and continue to hold, this blood bath is just temporary and this is because of segwit. If you plan to sell, its up to you, but if I am in your shoes, I would rather wait until segwit is over, alts will recover.
208  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Price Moving Towards $7500, Market needs a crash on: November 03, 2017, 04:04:46 PM
Why would there be a crash? What I am expecting is a pull back or a market correction but not necessary a crash. If Bitcoin price drops yo $5,500 I don't think that its considered a crash and besides you guys should get used to pull backs after a bull run, this is not the first time we have seen BTC price reached ATH and beats ATH again in 24 hours. If Bitcoin price dropped to $5,000 its just an indication to buy more and prepare for another bull run.
209  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TRADING BOT on: November 03, 2017, 03:38:05 PM
I would go for manual trading than using bots to buy and sell. I cant trust a bot for my money. I know that its designed to follow my instruction when to buy and when to sell but with the current situation of altcoins where red blood is everyone I would rather trade manually and I can sleep tightly and wake up in the morning I still have my coins in my wallet. But, I am also considering getting this Gunbot because of the nice reviews.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins Going down what do we expect in the coming months on: November 03, 2017, 04:44:41 AM
As we know now, bitcoin surging to reach 10000 usd by the end of the year
this has been the trend day to day, are we seing the dawn of altcoins?
its been a month now since altcoins are low, and there is no stop of slowing down,
what may be the cause of this trader , miner or its just a trend that we need to learn?
Its expected already that when Bitcoin price is going up, altcoin price will drop. Altcoin holders wants to cash in and take advantage of the price of Bitcoin. This is temporary, it may look like its been on going but if you look at your calendar you'll see fork after fork after fork and because of fork, Bitcoin price is up, and altcoin price is down. Take advantage of this situation because altcoin price is down, but wait until fork is almost over as altcoin price might continue to drop till next week.
211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any tricks available in gambling to won the bet? on: November 03, 2017, 03:42:26 AM
I don't think there's a trick that can beat the house or at least let you earn a lot of money in gambling. If you are into real world gambling and plays cards "maybe" there's a chance of winning if you know how to count cards but slots, dice, roulette, specially online, no tricks, its pure just luck. Even if you change the settings to higher chances of winning, there's still % that will make you lose.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin forks destroying atlcoins! on: November 03, 2017, 03:32:21 AM
I look at those Bitcoin forks as an opportunity and not as opposite of it. Whenever there's upcoming fork, Bitcoin price shoot up and altcoins suffer so much that there are times its price is slashed to half, but look at it as an opportunity to buy altcoins at discounted price. Buy if you are not going to participate on the hard fork or buy after the hard fork as altcoins price will start to recover after the fork.

As of now coins.ph ang gamit ako. So far so good. Never naman ako nagkaroon ng any issues because of it. User-friendly pa ang app nila. So I'll stick with them.

214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is driving BTC increase on: November 02, 2017, 07:05:04 AM
I think there are 3 factors now that drives Bitcoin to hit all time high. One reason that I see is the CME groups announcement that they will add Bitcoin futures and with this announcement it may make other investment groups or company to rethink about their stand with Bitcoin.

Second factor is the recent news that Amazon bought domains related to cryptocurrency, while I havent seen a confirmation from amazon, but this news is good for Bitcoin because with the coming holidays and amazon being the biggest online seller in the world, this will drive Bitcoin to new heights.

Third and last factor is the November 16 fork and it looks like this is not the last of it but every time there is an upcoming fork, there a sudden surge of price of Bitcoin.
215  Economy / Lending / Re: Does anyone take TBC as collateral here on: October 31, 2017, 06:28:13 PM
I appreciate all the responses that has no insults. Obviously i was just like many others in my area fooled into investing in tbc. Anyway, i have a feeling something positive may come out of it in the nearest/distant future so i will keep it and even if not i have no problem. You guys have really opened my eyes about it.

I progress into other things...........
So you know already that you've been fooled by the owners of the TBC or The Billion Coin so why are you offering TBC as a collateral? Are you trying to dump your TBC and pass the burden of disposing that trash? Instead of disposing that worthless coin why don't you go back to who ever offered you to buy and invest in TBC and help you out.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] PAYCENTOS - Bridging the Gap Between Cryptocurrency and Fiat on: October 31, 2017, 04:21:36 PM
I tried to download the app via android so Paycentos app is not available yet in the Philippines. I find it odd when I see in your white paper, one of your plan is to merge with a Bank here in the Philippines and I also checked the profiles of your management, I see a few Filipinos there. Any idea when this will be available to the Philippines?
217  Economy / Speculation / Re: I do not have the guts to buy bitcoins now. on: October 31, 2017, 03:17:56 PM
I do not even have the courage to buy Bitcoin. Although I believe Bitcoin a lot. Many of my friends have made a lot of money by investing in Bitcoin. So I am thinking that I will buy Bitcoin in the future. As Bitcoin too Rising to 5000+ USD   Grin

WHAT DO YOU THINK ?  Roll Eyes
When this thread started, price of Bitcoin is $5,522 USD, today as I post this $6,370.10 USD (coinbase) see how much money OP cound have earned by now if he did buy Bitcoins last October 18. Op could have gained 15% from his capital, and it's less than 1 month compared to the interest that traditional banks are offering at a per Annum rate.
218  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold: Should We Cash Up or Dive In? on: October 30, 2017, 06:35:07 PM
If you have Gold or invested in Gold too, just hold it, no matter what happens Gold will remain a good investment that is accepted by everyone. If you have spare money, go ahead and buy some more or maybe if you are receiving weekly salary, try to allocate an amount to invest in Bitcoin and Gold. Gold is for long hold.
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Funny: "Nigerian" Scams Shifting To Bitcoin? on: October 30, 2017, 06:31:38 PM
I've receive those kind of offers in my Facebook account, email, Twitter DM. I tried to let them feel that I am convinced with their scheme but they somehow detected that I am just playing along and maybe they are not really a Nigerian, they are just saying that they are Nigerian to put Nigerians in a bad light. I'm not going to be surprised to see them (Nigerians and pretending to be Nigerians) in the lending section.
220  Economy / Lending / Re: Want to borrow 0.03 on: October 29, 2017, 05:03:32 PM
what are the criteria to be met to get a loan?
Criteria is very simple, no collateral, no loan. You need to offer a collateral that has good value and can easily be liquidated in case you run away and dont payback you lender. if you want to know what are the accepted collaterals in this forum, try to read this post What is considered collateral?. Now if you don't have any of those mentioned in the list, you have zero chances of getting your loan request funded.
