No block source available?

you are finding this ?https://github.com/BadCoinBoss/BadCoin

in the op

Yes, I see the source.... that's not what I am talking about.
My wallet was having trouble syncing.

I tried to reload the chain and now I am getting the 'No Block Source Available' message.
I do not have a connection problem.. and this morning everything was fine.

block source is in same folder as badcoin-qt, try to delete all file in that folder except badcoin-qt.exe, coin.conf and wallet.dat (!!!) backup wallet.dat into different location too (usb,cloud etc)
use this sample coin.conf
Code:
rpcuser=badcoin
rpcpassword=badcoinXX
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
addnode=82.211.31.107
addnode=ispace.co.uk
listen=1
server=1
port=11061
rpcport=21061

run badcoin-qt.exe

Thanks... I know the chain is stored in the same folder.
The only difference is I have these addnodes:

addnode=54.194.99.126
addnode=5.196.10.58

I'll try yours and let you know how it goes.

Is this tied to Uray's pool?

Nevermind... I found it's for the Dev's Official pool:

Considering we already have a massive amount of the tech space investing time and money into improving data storage, capacity capabilities should be relatively predictable with steady and consistent growth. Any plans of implementing a purpose for all that data storage similar to storj.io?

Check out first post, burstcoin does have plans to add something along those lines too at some point.

Storj dev here. I think super3 (or another user) mentioned this at one point, but it could be possible to integrate the services. You could run both Burst and Storj (DriveShare) together and depending on what's more profitable for you at the moment, the space allocated to each service could change dynamically. Burst could also be used as another way to demonstrate available capacity to the Storj network. I could see a scenario where I have 10 TB of drive. I offer all 10 TB to Storj and Burst, but at the moment the Storj network only gives me contracts for 5 TB worth of chunks, then you use the rest of the available space for Burst. If Storj can utilize your drive more, you can dynamically allocate more to Storj, etc. depending on the economics.

I mean we're all open-source so why not take advantage of the strengths of each platform?

Unfortunately, Burst's plot file utilize nonces needed in calculations to forge blocks.
The space utilized by a plot file is not 'usable' by other processes.

In addition, plotting files take a long time.  Even with GPU plotting you are most likely going to want to optimize the plot file.
So removing and adding plot files to swap out storage is not desirable to Burst miners.

Once we have that space allocated to a plot file, it's gold, and it's not going anywhere!

Yep Remember, Buying some new SSD to mine burst is business expense!

Why would you use SSDs for mining? Makes no sense at all.

But if you have a lot of them and using for nothing it is better to mine with them.

True... plotting and organizing the plot files would achieve incredible speeds on an SSD.
I just wonder how much it would degrade the SSD and how long it's life would be shortened by doing so.

If I had free SSD's, you bet I would be killing them like I have killed GPUs!

anybody know a cloud service mining for mining burst ?

There is one cloud mining service out there (The name escapes me atm)... but their prices are astronomical!
Just Google Burst Cloud Mining.

If you problems with RAM performance check Runaurufu Burst Miner (included his RAM Cleaner), change pool and directories in configuration.xml to fit your needs - works like a charm for me  Cheesy

Source? I asked him for it once before, but didn't provide it.
LOL and we're supposed to just trust some download link

"it's legit, I PROMISE!"

lol.

(in actuality, I've never touched the link, I'm being funny, don't actually think that I think it's legit. public service announcement.)

It's legit... I downloaded and scanned the heck out of it.
Loaded it into an isolated instance and didn't run into any problems.

I do have to say, I like blago's miner better.

True... all coins are down now... and for the past 4 years -- around this time of year, the prices are always down.
Now is a good time to buy stable, established, coins!
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New version 1.1.5 on: November 26, 2014, 04:39:01 PM
If you added wear hdd you can halve I think.

Well, I can say that I have been purchasing external HDDs for plotting.
In two months I can recover the cost of the HDD (Unlike the 6+ month minimum ROI on GPU mining equipment).

I now have HDDs that have paid for themselves and continue to generate income.
If it dies, so what?   I have already recovered the cost of the drive... I'll just go get a new one.

How is this being portrayed as SO different that using GPUs or ASICs?
It's EXACTLY the same risk... and if managed properly, you will always be making money.

SO... the price on this shitcoin STILL hasn't gone up, huh?  Is there anyone here still stupid enough to even be mining it?  I didn't bother to read any previous posts before typing this.  I'm glad I left it behind a long time ago.  I still have my 10,931 coins sitting on an exchange in case it ever does pop up.  Feel free to offer me 800 satoshis each coin for them.

Haaaa.... 800 sat for each??!  Go back to your pot,ganja,maryj,dank coins!

I was able to sync after I downloaded the block chain again.
Current number of blocks in the wallet is showing 18845.

Seems like after I finally got back in sync, I lost about 650 coins.
So there is a fork... now we need the dev to confirm if we are on the right side of the fork.

I can't get synced either.
I am attempting to re-download the chain... I'll let you all know how it goes...

For those of you synced, post your block counts so we can compare to see if some of us are on a fork.

New Windows Wallet

http://www.mediafire.com/download/bgwovbqfk8ue0kt/UCoin-Qt.zip

U: Ue3HhWQyYA944aAmtMUt1Nn81Jz69MEpi2

Please remove the old data folder and keep only wallet.dat.

I killed it all and restarted... it's working perfectly now on the three w7ent machines it was failing on before.
Thank you!

Yeah, I tried that but something about w7Ent is having a problem.
I compiled the Linux QT and that seems to be working file.

However, I see a new Win Wallet is on the way.
Thank you!

I am having a little problem with the windows wallet on w7 Enterprise.
When I launch the wallet I get the normal assertion error on the first run.

The second, and all subsequent restarts, of the wallet present the following error:

I have tried compatibility modes, tried copying qwindows.dll, and a few other tricks... but nothing seems to help.
I have other wallets that run without any issues... any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

What happened to the source?

https://github.com/signaturecoin/signaturecoin

Page not found... no source listed at all under this coin's name.
I am stopping my pool for this coin until the source comes home.

what's the matter?
dev?

it was all going so well, really unlike the dev not to respond... dev i hope you're ok

A new github source was put out there in the op... and still no source.
