201  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: March 02, 2016, 01:49:53 PM
Sent some coins to somebody I was trading with on Skype without verifying them first on the forum.  Turned out it was a scammer and I lost somewhere around $150 in a matter of minutes.  Haven't been scammed since, guess that's a lesson you just have to learn the hard way..

Things like this is why I have trouble seeing large-scale adoption coming to crypto, unless it's in a form of the average person not dealing with it directly.  The average person wouldn't think that you would just be out all your money after sending it to the wrong person.
202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: World's First Bitcoin Mining IPO Misses Target by AUD $14 Million on: March 02, 2016, 01:47:25 PM
It seems like a really strange idea to invest in a mining center right now with the low profitability.  Unless you're making the hardware yourself, you're going to have a very hard time making any sort of ROI.  Mining is increasingly turning into something for Bitcoin fanatics to have as a hobby to support the network, along with farms that were made back when it was profitable that aren't losing enough to close up shop yet.

I don't get why they don't invest the same money into making a actual datacenter and maybe put hardware in leftover space.
203  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Whom do you support in US Presidental Election Why? on: March 02, 2016, 01:14:20 PM
I'm personally a Sanders supporter.  It seems that instead of just giving in and socializing important things (like healthcare) like most first world countries do, we try to make some clusterfuck of a middle-ground that ends up costing everybody a ton of money, while still leaving people hanging when it comes time to make use of it.

I also think that free (or at least affordable) higher-education is going to be very important if we want to stay on the bleeding edge of innovation.  You should be able to go based on your drive to succeed, not whether you feel comfortable taking out tens of thousands of dollars in loans when you're just getting your first job.

If he doesn't get the nomination I'm really split on who to vote for... I hate Trump for his general lack of empathy or brains, but I certainly don't want to support Criminal Clinton.
204  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bad time to go long on: March 02, 2016, 01:04:20 PM
The price seems to be bleeding out at the moment, which is usually a sign that we'll end up dropping before too long.  I expect that within the next week or so we'll end up in the 420 range or lower, depending on how rapidly we fall, and by extension how many people panic sell.
205  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Shocking Times: Movement for Pedophile “Rights” Marches On on: March 02, 2016, 12:58:19 PM
It is not important are they have disorder or they just evil persons with bad intents.
Something must be done.
First you must not watch them as victims of systems.
Second this is true they must get proper medications and psychiatric help.
If nothing work, chemical castration will help for sure!

That's not the whole point of this debate you know?

The whole thing is that you actually want to send to jail and "help" (with your own notion of help ofc...) people that still commited no crime!

It's a sad thing but yes it's is impossible to sue or put someone in jail because he thought about pedophilia. You don't punish people for crimes they haven't commited that's all.

If they don't want to end up acting on their desires, they should be more than willing to accept psych help as long as they don't get punished for seeking help in itself.  The point is to offer lots of alternatives so they don't get to the point of committing a crime, not just tossing them in jail for having the potential to do it.
206  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: March 01, 2016, 05:26:21 PM
There's no doubt that the price of Bitcoin matters, but in the long run I think it's stability will be the true deciding factor in just how big we go.  With the price swings that we experience currently, the majority of serious investors wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.

Most big investors remember BTC from what they heard in the news, going from $1,000+ to under 300 easily.  Until we can break that reputation and show that we're a stable store of value, average investors and people are going to see the negatives much outweigh the positives of using crypto and use will stay mostly limited to people in the community.
207  Economy / Lending / Re: Need a 800$ loan - Have collateral on: March 01, 2016, 05:23:29 PM
Just new created account who ask for such big loan. It's a Hugh risk for an online saldo somewhere and hard to trust new created accounts.

True to have suspicions

My affiliate account will speak for itself. It is legit.

Once the lender has my username password, I basically can't do anything about it and if I don't pay back, he can withdraw it himself next month.

I think I have more to loose, I wouldn't be asking if it weren't for the investment I want to make.

Uhhh, actually there's a lot you could do about it.  You could reset the email, contact the site admin and convince him to unlock it claiming it was 'hacked' (it is being logged into from a new location), the affiliate site could be a scam or have a locked withdrawl account, or have had it's earnings made with blackhat methods...

Yeah, this isn't safe.  Really the only digital collateral that should be used is crypto or domains.

That is true if you think about it. I use a vpn to login into the account so the second part won't stick though.

Maybe I will change the email of the account to the lenders for the time being. They give the $ in bitcoins and it is nearly instant. Few hours.

Honestly the last part is what I'd be most worried about.  There isn't much information on what kind of affiliate site this is given, but you could have easily made a ton of accounts yourself that will display as having the balance, but once you try to make the withdrawl an admin will shut it down fast...  This is a lot of money to rely on a affiliate site for, much less for a gain of only ~10%.

208  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: March 01, 2016, 05:21:35 PM
Personally I don't think Bitcoin can even compare to gold... One has uses in real life and will always have some level of demand, one is numbers on a ledger that could become completely useless at any time.  No matter how bad the price of gold may fall, it's nothing compared to the volitility that we see in the world of crypto every day.

With all of the uses of gold from electronics to jewelry, I have a hard time seeing it as a worse investment then a digital currency only backed by the community that uses it.

210  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the minimum amount to start as a trader? on: March 01, 2016, 05:12:56 PM
If you trade on an exchange like Bitfinex, you can use leverage to trade with more than you own.  If you just want something to do in your spare time you can get started with ~$100 and make a few bucks easily on a good trade.  I'd personally start around there and use the profits you make to be able to trade more.
211  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: March 01, 2016, 05:10:17 PM
I generally keep my crypto money in fiat on an exchange and buy when I think we're getting ready to go up.  Besides that, usually only if I have something in mind that I need to buy and think it would be easier to pay in crypto.  The amount I have in BTC is relatively small, so I'd rather get some entertainment out of trading it than just having it sit there.
212  Other / Politics & Society / Re: "Inside the Clinton Team’s Plan to Defeat Donald Trump" on: March 01, 2016, 02:45:55 PM
I really don't think this is going to do much good.  All the Trump supporters are prepared for any attacking you can do, they'll just see whatever ad comes out as trying to slander him since they don't have a counter to the 'real issues'.  Meanwhile all you have to do about Hillary is point a bit more attention to the emails and slowly her following will fall off after seeing what a liar she is.

I personally hate Trump, but at this point am doubting any attack from Clinton is going to do much about taking him down.  They both probably have dirt on them, but Hillary can't hold up to scrutiny like he probably can.
213  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you buy Bitcoins? on: March 01, 2016, 02:37:36 PM
I generally hold a few for opportunities to use them to get a discount, like Gyft or foldapp.  Besides that, it's a way to pay for things without risking overdrafts, bank fees, or paying for something you can't afford.  Not to mention there's no risk of your credit card information getting stolen.
214  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gay marriage will destabilise family life on: February 26, 2016, 07:11:25 PM
Oh no, a child is going to grow up in a loving home that happens to have 2 people of the same sex married instead of a foster home!  The horror, the agony!  /s

The child would be much better in a foster home or in an orphanage. If gay parents are rising the kid, then most probably he will be sexually abused, and he will end up as a pedophile when he grows up.

Gay Foster Parents More Apt to Molest (Vol. 17 No. 7 Nov 2002 Journal of the Family Research Institute).

Are Over A Third of Foster Parent Molestations Homosexual?

http://www.familyresearchinst.org/2009/02/are-over-a-third-of-foster-parent-molestations-homosexual/
So that study shows that there were an estimated 221 cases of abuse by gay couples (I think) over a 23 year period.  It was hard to find a number on the total amount of children in foster homes during that period, but there's an average of 400,000 children in one at any time.  That means using that conservative as possible number, there's a 0.055% chance of a child in there being molested by a gay person, or somewhere around 1 in 2,000.  With that number in mind, do you feel confident saying any given child would be better off in straight foster or state care than being adopted by a gay couple?
215  Economy / Speculation / Re: Finally bitcoin above 400 again on: February 26, 2016, 06:46:44 PM
The fact that we've found such strong support around 425 tells me that we may end up going up soon.  Instead of falling into freefall from 450 like I was expecting, we found a nice bottom while we wait for the market to get ready to go shooting up again.  I wouldn't be surprised to be testing 500 in the next few weeks.
216  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gay marriage will destabilise family life on: February 26, 2016, 06:43:39 PM
I agree with this statement.
Now, we even have pedophilia movement, pedophiles also wants their rights.
Isn't it crazy?
For the sake of so called democracy and individual rights our governments destroying our social structure and order, destabilize family life etc.
Honestly, real family need support and help now, not Gay marriages.
In many countries we already see more and more divorces, less children and more elderly people.
Such trend, if continue, is road to destruction.
I hope our governments understand it and will do something about it.

Who is to decide what a 'real' family is?  If you take out the ability to have a biological child, a gay couple is just as capable of doing everything else as a straight couple is.  Hell, lots of children in foster homes need good places to stay, personally I'd rather have a gay couple take one in than a straight one go and make more kids.

It's stupid to compare LGBT rights to pedophiles.  One is doing things between consenting adults, one is taking away the innocence of a child.
217  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gay marriage will destabilise family life on: February 26, 2016, 05:02:53 PM
This is normal what they doing i must admit.
(From my standpoint this is bad and twisted but i don't care about them and their habits).
Family must be protected! Other children must be protected from this indoctrination.

Soo... assuming it's 'indoctrination' for being gay being an okay thing, what's so bad about that?  If you toss religion out to the side, the only negative is not being able to have kids and a higher risk of disease.  Ironically, migitating the risk of disease can be done by education so people know to wrap it up, which you'd probably call indoctrination..

If these people are 'married', I am sure they will be able to adopt.
What kind of life will be giving to these adopted kids?

the child is traumatized for sure

my God
should not accept gay marriage Angry

anyone ever seen porno gay?

I still have not seen, but only to imagine the disgust me

man marries a woman and reproduce bearing children

gays do not have children which in itself is already easy to see that men should not have sex between them

We are changing the natural order of things
Sorry to burst your bubble, but God doesn't exist.  We're here on this planet to make purpose for our self and enjoy life, if for some people that involves getting with somebody of the same sex who are you to say they shouldn't?
218  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Isis video targets Twitter and Facebook CEOs over suspended accounts on: February 26, 2016, 01:23:54 PM
It's cute that ISIS thinks they can actually win against giant companies like Facebook... all they have to do is hire a couple extra people to deal with terrorists, maybe add something to the report button for terroristic threats.  Not to mention how easy it would be to block their IP's.  Holding a ton of Facebook accounts is irreverent when you can just nuke all the ones made from a certain place.

But why do you want to kill those too who don't approach?
You are taking this out of Contest.

I didn't say they must be eliminated. They must be treated psychiatric.
We must help them so we will this way prevent something bad happened.
How we can help them, is question for doctors and psychiatrists.

I'm fine with providing free psychatric help for them. Sure.
But do we have any kind of psycatric help to provide? I'm not a specialist but I'm not sure there is any :-/
First of all, screw you guys for making this stuff get in my search history Tongue

According to this website, there does seem to be therapy that can help with reducing the chances of offending.  It seems to be a lot like therapy for depressed people preventing suicide, where the pedos focus on making a strong support group that they can go to when the urges hit and finding healthy alternatives for the energy.

The urges, or even just thoughts that you may have them could be attributed to other mental disorders, like OCD or PTSD (possibly from a person being abused themself)

Really I think this whole thing comes down to offering as many alternatives as we can... offer everything from free castration to therapy that won't get you in trouble to dolls, anything but offending...  At the end of the day, word will get around fast if a method offered is a 'trap' that will screw up their life (like GPS tracking dolls) and it will kill the effectiveness.
