2001  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: March 05, 2015, 06:09:16 PM
IMHO the company was lacking money well before the XPY fiasco. If anything XPY was the last ditch attempt to save it. The unpaid power bill (from November was it?) proves that. I mean who in their right mind would neglect to pay the bill for the one part of their business that still generates income?

I completely agree, this is one reason why the SEC were busy on this in January, the fallout had already started and they were fielding a growing wave of angry people complaining about GAW and their practises. I believe many people, especially those on HT, thought the threats to do so were just hot air... apparently not!

The mass exodus of staff is also something that's an indicator. As money was leaking staff costs weren't helping, then a "sudden"? loss of a few key staff, again an indicator of something, I think the JM mails hint at something there. All in all it highlights that GAW was in a tight and ever tightening spot.

Legal issues growing, Customer anger growing, Timescales growing, Bills growing and Money was diminishing faster than they could keep up.

As a business, this has suffered greatly and I believe is close to a break point.

As a coin, I'm not convinced it's got the mojo left in it to succeed, and thats despite some good efforts by some good people.

As a Brand.. well, there's an interesting one.... If for example it were bought as a name and (tm) by PayPal, then it may well succeed. It would then become a digital token of some kind never to darken a QT wallet again.

Oh, and of course, all current Paycoins aka XPY would be dead. That would be part of the deal as they couldn't have two Paycoins out there muddying the mix.

Good to see given the recent leaks they are now taking customer privacy seriously and have shut down all their Google docs containing customer information....  Roll Eyes

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1YVxTD0Jp9sfFg9gH4Pojicvge2LYyf6wvX-P_QhrXCM/edit#gid=0

How recent is that? As in, is that live or a snapshot taken from the Group?
2003  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: March 05, 2015, 05:44:00 PM
Why is the google group containing all of the emails locked?  May i request access to view more.  i have 1 foot in and 1 foot out and would like access to the rest of the leaked content.   Will this be possible?

No, the group was originally public, once the mass access event was realized by the group admin it was locked down to domain access only.

Is the admin Gaw?  Surely someone Seen it coming & downloaded the whole library?   I ask because unless all of the emails are available GAW & Friends are going to claim " Cherry Picking" .
There were angry emails between josh and one of the admins(I don't remember the name) and he states " I will expose all your lies to bitcointalk" I'm assuming that's what happened.

Coinbreif stated this was not a hack, so it seems to be the most reasonable explanation. Does anyone have those emails archived?

Guess we will see when they release their new article.

This?

MrCoins
I couldn't have put it better myself. These guys don't understand my motive. They think I must be getting a backhander, bribe or profit from somewhere. They do not understand that I am doing it because I think it is right. These people do not understand or have these values.

OK, I can't answer you there so I will here....
To believe that a centralised currency such as Paycoin is good for crypto is flawed I believe and it's certainly not "right". It goes against the grain, the spirit and the whole ideology of what it (crypto) was built for.

It wasn't even a good business model.... Prime Controllers, Tiered Networks and payments...what was "right" about that?

Accountability and Transparency were clear goals of Bitcoin and not one of those has appeared with XPY. Is that "right"?

So what is it you see here? With what little is left of the company, it cant be GAWs people. As a coin it's on the heap with all the others with discussions now taking place about how easy it is to fork.... same old paths we have seen before. So what values are required here to keep going cos you've lost me.
2005  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: March 05, 2015, 05:04:52 PM
To deny the plain as the nose on your face fact that the SEC were, in January preparing the investigation, and obscure that fact with "GAW knew nothing til February so its all FUD" is actually bloody hilarious. At one point I was quite steamed that such simple truth could be so easily dismissed, but then I quite literally went away and had a coffee (smelt it LOL) and now I just have to laugh.

To keep blindly defending this abomination with such tenuous lines is just funny, no, really it is. It's not personal, its just damn funny. The SEC were obviously having a very busy new year fielding all the angry mob that saw GAW for what it is, a shambles and a financial risk if not a partially illegal venture.

When the CEO himself makes statements that indicate he has broken securities law [daytrading to make the money to make the mining payments], then its time to wise up and expect the SEC to be involved at least on a cursory level. To think otherwise is either foolish or ignorance.

When your legal guy is saying ...
It may be advisable to "turn off" Hashtalk.org for awhile (i.e. a few months) until we resolve the SEC inquiry - statements made on their by you Josh could potentially work against us in the future.
I think I'd have learned enough about that company to evacuate my funds ASAP.

So, to deny these simple facts is rather silly to me.

The rhetoric doesn't work on the enlightened.

My guess is this..

the SEC investigation has placed an administrative and financial burden on the company it wasn't expecting, providing the required info is going to be very time consuming for at least 1-2 people.

Based on the many outstanding bills and phone calls from legal departments requesting settlement, JM and his request for large amounts, money is something this company lacks.

The compromise of the email system, potentially multiple times, is also something that should not be in any way underestimated, yet seems to be being swept under the carpet.

What on earth is wrong with that MrCoins guy? This must be the biggest idiot in existence.

https://hashtalk.org/topic/33171/hacker-s-prove-gaw-is-not-a-scam

He's not so much an idiot as he is the the one buying up all the coins that everyone else is selling, sometimes thousands at a time  He's in it for the money he can make - and doesn't care if it's a scam.  It's in his best interest to keep things running.  And, he does this willingly, even knowing that it's a scam, meaning he's just as much a part of the whole scam as Garza is, maybe even more so.

This will only work if he can sell all these coins later on for hard cash, in light of the current events that doesn't seem very likely.
At least I can't imagine that there are many people wanting to buy this crapcoin.

There is one other scenario. If MrCoins is one of the larger investors and criminal behaviour is proven against JG, the subsequent seizure of assets could be claimed against by MrCoins as reparation?

Now, If he was to get $20 a coin as part of that settlement .. thats a big payday. Not going to happen btw but it would be good leverage on any assets.

People will see and hear what they want. To be so explicit and certain, despite not having read and viewed all of the evidence is a great failure in my view, because anyone reading that stuff who had even a shred of business acumen would walk, period.

Having seen, read and heard large parts of the Google Groups Archive while it was still public I know that if I had any money on GAW products I'd get it out as fast as I could.

The state of their business is in disarray that much was clear. The mounting debts and the lack of money was also clear. Thats not the sign of a flourishing and thriving company.

The demands by Joe Mordica for settlement for significant amount of money....

Things that were ABSENT however, were communications with vendors (not one of the 100k were there from what i saw) and developers and other entities you would expect communicated between a CEO and prospects. In fact a number of things were absent so that leaves a number of questions remaining.

So, MrCoins motives? Clearly money. But I see a problem with the way that he cheerleads others into what, with decent investigation, is a flawed and vulnerable business. To ignore vitally important facts while giving "investment advice" is taking him up a path that has potentially bad outcomes. The lack of disclosure from GAW (and MrCoins lack of acknowledgement) about hacking, about the loss of staff, about the CEO walking away, the total lack of Blockchain transparency (from a business that supposed to be a leader in it LOL) and of course the SEC investigation, are all investment details that should be openly available and not suppressed out of fear of losing customers and more importantly examined for the business impact past, present and future. There appears to be an outright refusal to believe that ANY misbehaviour has occurred at all, and that to me speaks volumes.

When one espouses ones view on forums in a manner that is known to "motivate the troops" despite claiming a mere "personal desire to state ones personal position", one becomes part of the overall problem i.e. information sterilisation and obfusctication. And yes, using the semantics to validate minor points that are "Not what was advertised" is weak at best.

It will be interesting to see how the SEC interacts with the UK authorities over this one, as I'd be prepared to lay a bet that a statement will sought from MrCoins about any and all comms he has had from JG and any and all payments made by JG to MrCoins. We know some have taken place. How will this be seen by the UK/US people investigating in conjunction with a thorough look at posting histories?

I still don't believe it's malice aforethought, but self interest seems to be obscuring good business decisions and advice. That others are buying into these "personal opinions" so deeply, is probably the most disturbing.

There are now so many things wrong at GAW and HT that its taking the indoctrination and cheerleading to keep it afloat.

The Google Group Info btw was public not stolen, minor but important detail. The reason there was a lack of positives btw is because there weren't any. The Group archive was either spam mails, support tickets or requests for payment in the majority of cases. There we no "Job well done", "Contract Deal agreed with {insert merchant here}" etc etc

from a recent posting....
Allegation: SEC Investigating GAW (January/CoinFire)
False. The was no SEC investigation. CF reported there was, XPY tanked. The emails prove there was no such investigation at the time. They do however show that the SEC have subpoena GAW for information on February 6th. It also shows GAW efforts to comply by February 27th.

Ummm not hard this one. Coinfire had info that SEC were doing something from a source in the SEC, that would have been in January. At this point, the SEC would have received numerous complaints and would have been compiling a file of what would be needed in terms of information and data. In the supoena you notice they have an extensive list of requests. To format that takes time, over a week - infact I'd say at least 3, again pushing back into January. That GAW didn't hear until the 6th doesn't mean it was FUD, it meant that CF knew about the impending action before GAW because of that inside source... see not hard. Failed defence. Sorry Colin But you see what you want to see....I would post this on HT btw but I've been shadow slapped for being honest and presenting truth again.

Those I think you mean?

Yes, thank you. There was one more e-mail in addition to those two.

And this made me chuckle....

He just can't help himself. If there were any compromises, I believe they mostly originate from Josh and his duplicity.

It's also clear MrCoins hasn't seen the most recent leaks. Especially the more 'interesting' ones

Was that a Bitcointalk screenshot in John's e-mail? Pool guy has to read all this crap to keep track of his rogue CEO.

Yes it was a screenie where the GAWCEO (iirc) account was making various statements, ones that were clearly upsetting the people back home and ones that were painting the company ever more into a corner.
2012  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: March 04, 2015, 03:23:38 PM
A quick note on the Rishab/CaptainAmerica denial - even though it's barely relevant anymore in the context of all the other crap that's been exposed.

Somewhere in the leaked e-mails (not sure if that's been archived) were at least three denial e-mails from Rishab, each worded slightly differently. Now that is not something you would normally do as a spontaneous reaction to an article. It looks more like an attempt to craft a PR-ish response.

Also his whining about not being contacted by the reporter - all he really needs to do is e-mail CoinBrief's Dustin from his rishabh@livingstones.in address with DKIM headers and I'm sure Dustin would let us know if the e-mail checks out.

What else... I've been told that GAW had 2FA on their e-mail accounts. That would make it impossible for accounts to be compromised for months without anyone noticing. Even without 2FA it's extremely unlikely. Again, largely irrelevant after the latest leak - who in their right mind would "fake" PR bills and Tesla detailing invoices.

However MrCoins is not impressed by any of that: https://hashtalk.org/topic/33060
(tl;dr: all e-mails are fake because two recipients denied them)

Did anyone catch the Zinc Save conversation (Josh, Joe & max I think it is) where Dev is asking for payment (repeatedly it's noticed) and then its mentioned (by Josh iirc) handing it all back to the Dev as it runs on their platform.

There was also mention of TOS breaching there too.

Beautiful work, hacker(s). Someone could write a master's thesis with the primary source material you've provided. It answers every question I usually have when watching something like American Greed. "How exactly did X occur? What were the mechanics of it?"

Now we know. We know all of the mechanics.

Except we don't know everything do we?  There was a huge 2nd historical data dump which nobody has managed to grab in it's entirety. That was an error considering the technical capabilities of some members of this forum and the fact that we have been waiting for such an event for months now in order to bring down Josh.

I managed to read a number of those and they were as, if not more, damning than the first lot.

IT's why I am so confident now that GAW is toast.
Josh is AWOL, and the lunatics are left running the asylum.
The end game is now in sight.

That John Caceres says the Rishab email is fake is interesting as it then supports other information which says he (Rishab) has traded off books, whereas in the mail he claims to have been a normal customer?

John is essentially saying Rishab wasn't their average Joe as made out in the email? Priceless

Also if you find out your entire email system had been compromised wouldn't you operate and lock down and reset policy for all staff.
However, with the persistent loss of technical staff, who knows, former staff could cause all sorts of trouble if their accounts hadn't been deactivated properly...

Everytime something new appears, the smell gets worse around all of this.

Having now read large parts of that...

IF I had any money involved in XPY, I'd flush it as fast as I could to get what little value is left.

That dumps shows what an epic clusterf*ck GAW have been, how incompetant they are and have been and how many of the rumours were true.

This company has been insolvent for some time it would appear and they have lost any talent they had.

Ganza has fled the scene and the lunatics have been left to take over the asylum.

You couldn't make this stuff up.
