Hi culexevilman,

I'd like to order 12x "ASUS R9280X-DC2T-3GD5/3G DDR5/28.5cm" and possibly a motherboard. Are you expecting stock soon?

Thanks!

What country are you located in?

Nice setup, but not very efficient. My 6x 280x setups use 1650w at the wall with each card @ 750KH/s. (88% efficiency PSUs)

An 8 pin PCI-e is rated for 150w but is capable of more. Depends if your PSUs wires are 20AWG, 18AWG, or 16AWG. CPU 8 pin has one more 12V wire compared to PCI-e 8 pin and should be capable of putting out more power.
2006  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: February 16, 2014, 06:01:45 AM
Well,I have 2 of em on a 900 watt UPS/battery backup (no OC'in),my circuit is on a 20 amp breaker on 14 AWG-I limit my amperage to 14 or less though  Wink

Besides the Ants,I have a BFL 30GH'er @ 160 watts & 4 Drillbits @ 25 watts each & 1 5870 mining alt coins= 1400 watts=11.6 amps.Everthing is on UPS's & they show the wattage amount,just add em up  Cool

I've been in my attic & breaker box to check temps on all wires/outlets & nothing gets even warm................I also use an ampmeter at the box to double check  Wink

14AWG is only good for 15 amps, you need 12AWG for 20 amps so be careful. You should avoid pulling more than 12A constantly on 14AWG. If it's really 14AWG wiring you should replace the breaker with a 15A for safety and insurance purposes.

No issue as long as your 12v and grounds go where they are supposed to.

I was thinking of just selling off my little 333mh/s USB ASIC's but now I might keep them for this geeky fun.

I've yet to hear of a block eruptor ceasing to work(not that I've been looking.)
We have no way to know what value BTC will have in the future, it is very possible these block eruptors will make us wealthy.
They mine only a little value each day now, what might that little value be worth in 10 or 20 years?

I've got 3 dead out of 26 erupters.
2010  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: February 14, 2014, 05:23:27 AM
I received my 3 units last night, no thanks to UPS. Bunch of fucking morons!

Thanks for the great service Bitmain!

I now have all 5 of my ants running on a $40 2000w server power supply, couldn't be happier!
2011  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: February 13, 2014, 01:38:33 AM
More than enough, I run 2 overclocked (400MHz) ants on a single Corsair AX860i.

Curious, are you behind 110v or 230v? Supposedly PSUs 'perform better' with 230v?

They're on 240v right now, but it would work on 120v also. 240v makes the PSU a little more efficient and it's a little less hard on the internal components.

Has anyone in Canada received any antminers since Bitmain reopened orders at the new BTC1.45 price?

Well, this sucks. UPS is already a day late and my 3 units are being held by customs about 30 minutes away. I really hope they get here today!

Will this PSU power 2 units:

Corsair Professional Series Modular HX1050 80PLUS Gold

And if I want to try overclocking, will it be enough, or do I need a 1200?

More than enough, I run 2 overclocked (400MHz) ants on a single Corsair AX860i.

Was supposed to receive 3 units today (Canada) and ups has just delayed the delivery to tomorrow. Anyone else?

Haven't really kept up with nvidia hardware for a while. Is a GTX 580 still top dog when it comes to compute performance?

What a flaming douche. I love how he automatically assumes you live in the US, too.
