Thanks for the info. Smiley Fill up that 80A of usable power!  Grin

I'm limited to 90A right now, soon to be 200A.

I'm on a family farm house.  So it was designed for lots of electricity.    I have a 200 amp going to house, and 100 amp subpanal going to area I'm now setting up.   So total of 300 amp already Smiley.  Just hard to justify that much mining gear currently for me.

I've got a 200A feed to the house, with 60A going to a sub panel in my detached garage.

Is your 100A sub panel feeding off your main 200A from the house? If so you don't have 300A, you're drawing 100A from the 200A available.

To have 300A, you'd have to have a 200A entrance to your main panel in the house, and a second 100A entrance to a different building feeding that building's main panel.

A Jupiter controller can be flashed and used to control Neptune cubes, right?

Anyone?
1064  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: May 01, 2015, 05:16:17 AM
Is the S4 able to control the San Ace's RPM? Or is it always running at 100%? Must be loud as hell at close to 6K RPM.

What are your ambient temps? Seems to be running pretty hot for the speed those fans are spinning.

Do you know if the Jupiter's controller can be flashed with Neptune firmware to run cubes? If so, I would be interested in a controller for Neptune cube testing.

Thanks man! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Smiley

I've got about 200TH rented now, plus my rigs are pointed here, so 225TH total. Feel free to rent them, one way or another I'll have them pointed here for 24h total. Up to you!

All 6 sold to me, escrow through OgNasty.

Thanks, CerebralEdge. Looking forward to hooking these up!

Well done, I asked for all 6 as well but couldn't get a reply..

Thanks. He's pretty busy and got swamped with messages I think. I was lucky enough to be one of the first to message him I think.

1071  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bitcoin-power.com on: April 29, 2015, 04:48:43 PM
"Ban reason: talking shit" lol.

You are right, you should only use an escrow whose level of trust you can verify and that you can reasonably conclude is real. Otherwise you are going to get scammed.

I suspect that many forums try to run scams where the owner of the forum has alt accounts and uses himself as escrow only to run away with your money.

Yep.

Banned again for "talking shit"..... This time I was politely asked to not make another account. LOL
1072  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bitcoin-power.com on: April 29, 2015, 04:35:17 PM
Sorry, I don't get what you're saying?
1073  Economy / Scam Accusations / bitcoin-power.com on: April 29, 2015, 04:19:13 PM
Beware, this is a scammer's forum. I signed up to see if a user selling an SP35 for a price way too good to be true would use a real escrow, such as OgNasty or others. Of course, as expected, they won't. They will only deal with "someone" they "trust", which happens to be the admin of the forum "Admin Kelly". This all went down VIA PM. Once the obvious scam was confirmed, user "Minersales" was swiftly told to fuck off and I posted a polite warning in his thread, fully expecting it to be deleted within seconds and my account to be banned just as quickly. I wish predicting the furtur was always this easy!  Shocked

I highly suspect the entire scam of a forum is being run by "Admin Kelly", and he/she is the only one "selling" anything under various user names. Of course, he/she is the only acceptable escrow to be used on that scam of a forum!

Beware! Hopefully this saves at least 1 person from getting scammed over there.
1074  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: April 29, 2015, 03:41:25 PM
Bitcoin's fatal flaw was that it employed a POW algorithm that was ASIC friendly. Its entire history has been described by, and its future predicted by this single fact.

Isn't it time we all moved on ?

Why is that a flaw? Have we encountered any problem because of it?

I think that within 2 years, the only people who will be able to get their hands on hardware to mine will be people who can actually manufacture the hardware themselves in China. I'd call that a developing problem.
1075  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: April 29, 2015, 01:27:44 PM
A sad day in the mining world.

Starting to miss GPU mining where everyone could participate fairly and easily.

1078  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Antminer S6 speculation on: April 24, 2015, 04:31:53 PM
Looks like this thread need to do a 90 day vacation  maybe a 150 day vacation since s-6's will not show up sooner then summertime. Or early fall.

I would agree with it could be a while.  I still think btc being so low has something to do with it, companies have to do R+D smarter not faster.

I think for a little bit our options are S4+ or S5.  Which is a interesting mix.   I was surprised with the 220, I see this as good for future releases showing Bitmain is not scared to go up to 220.

I'm also happy to see Bitmain not being too concerned about telling those who are serious with mining to move to 205 to 240 range.  I do like the capability to still use rigs at 120 during the winter.  This means I can move a rig to a bedroom or living room that needs heat without concern of having a 205 to 240 volt receptacle.

yeah home miners will need to up their game by having 1 or more 240 volt  receptacles.

I now have a 30 amp and a 20 amp circuit .  These were 120 volt dedicated receptacles for subwoofer amps that I installed in my home 17 years ago.  I now  did a very simple switchover and made them 240 volts.

Of course they are not in the best spots of my home but I will get around that in due time.  For now with the hot weather approaching I will keep mining low.

Sounds like a plan.

I did have six 20 amp/120 volt circuits at one time.  I switched everything over to five 30 amp/240 volt circuits with PDU's.  I doubled my available watts by doing this.  Everyone else should do it as well if possible.

I think I was the one who pointed you in the 240v/PDU direction. Smiley Looks like you took it and RAN LOL. Love your setup.

And I appreciate you doing so, Sir!!!  THUMBS UP!!!

Your assistance and knowledge played a large role in helping me get my setup to where it is at the moment.  Thank you for taking the time to provide mining knowledge!

Kind regards,

David

Glad I could help, especially seeing what your project has evolved into!  Cheesy

philipma1957,

You ruined your nice GE load center by putting in a cheap Square D breaker  Tongue

I don't know why some have a hate for Square D.  In my newest subpanal it is a mix of GE and Square D.  Neither brand ever has problems.  I think both work great.

But that could just be me.

Nothing wrong with Square D, they make good stuff.

If laws in the US are anything like in Canada, you might have an insurance problem if there's a fire. You should only use GE breakers in a GE panel, even if a different brand fits. Insurance companies will do their best to find a reason not to pay, and using the wrong breaker is a golden ticket for them.

My main panel in my house is a Cuttler-Hammer, and my panel in my detached garage is Seimens. Both brands of breakers are interchangeable, and I've done it in a pinch, but you need to be aware of possible insurance problems if there's a fire.

Did anyone ever figure out how to overclock a neptune over 500MHz?

Or a Titan over 325MHz?
