I can't understand why anyone would stay here when there are so many superior options.
1302  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: March 17, 2015, 06:53:59 PM
Yaay! Nice little block! bring your friends little block!

1303  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Looking for Web/Internet power plug for remote reset. on: March 17, 2015, 08:12:40 AM
Does anyone use remotely accessible and tripable power plugs/strips that they can access via an app or web to reset if need be?

I found a bunch of them, but they all seem like cheap, low power 10A chinese junk. *No offense but it's true*.

No offense what? Chinese stuff is junk. No need to be an apologist when telling the truth.

Get yourself a switched PDU, easiest and most reliable method.

I feel like it's been too long since I told KNC to go fuck themselves.

KNC, go fuck yourselves.

Just some maintenance, or are we in for a surprise once the front end is back up?
The front end has been up the whole time.
Again, if it doesn't work for you, use http://thebestpool.kano.is/ for the next hour/day - it will work.

http://thebestpool.kano.is/ works fine for me, I meant https://www.kano.is

Try https://kano.is as stated above

Looks like I need sleep.

https://kano.is - working
http://thebestpool.kano.is/ - working
https://www.kano.is - not working

Sorry for the confusion.

Do you want to convert it to FIAT, or keep it as BTC? Either way, good on you for making BTC an option. I'd give you my business.
1309  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: solo mining with multibit on: March 17, 2015, 12:36:56 AM
As everyone has said, CPU/GPU mining is dead when it comes to mining. I'll take a step further and say it's just about dead for altcoin mining too.
1310  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: New Diff thread Mar 8 to Mar 22. on: March 16, 2015, 11:47:48 PM
We hit 70 today here in Northern Indiana and I hear my S5's fans cycling up and down in the basement.... The wife is not going to like this..   Roll Eyes

I've got all my windows open in the basement, going to have to move the heaters out to the garage soon. I just know that as soon as I bring them out, cold weather will be back.

I brought a bit of power back to p2pool, I miss her. Not much for now, but it got me a piece of that last block.

I should be able to see how many valid posts I have here right? So far when I enter my UID it doesn't show anything.  Huh

it does (your stats):

Profile uid : 95482
Staring Post Number : 1279
Pay per post : 0.00130000
New Posts : 15
Excluded Posts : 3
Final Posts : 12
Payment Address : 3Et4nVMYLGJ9iCoBqXFsGcXrEAofz8tHkx
Final payment : 0.0156

Try different browser?

Wow, that's weird. I wasn't using the same UID as you did. Where did you get the 95482 from?

Edit: Never mind, 95482 is my BCT UID. I was using my bit-x UID.  Smiley

Yeah, it's got 400+ confirmations. I guess you're right, no point in delaying the inevitable. Time to call eBay.

Once you cross that line of reporting to ebay, could you also publish the transaction details here? Never know, he may have been careless enough and used an address that can be traced to him or used it for other transgressions that someone can identify / pick on ....

That would be great. I'll post it when I get through with ebay.
1316  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: March 16, 2015, 02:59:41 PM
I wish I was in France.  I would purposely win an auction on one of them and pick up locally (in person) just so I could personally beat his ass to a pulp!

Heh, I've had very similar thoughts. Smiley

Looks like I got scammed on eBay, paid for 3 SP20Es using BTC (I know, I know..) because the seller had 100% feedback and 173 transactions. Stupid me for thinking that was enough to trust him.

Here are the 3 units I "bought". Beware of him.

I'm feeling real fucking dumb right about now. Guess contacting eBay will be pointless, since I paid for them with BTC and have nothing but our messages as proof.

You should report even if you think it will not matter. You can demonstrate to eBay that you somehow paid him and you must have a conversation history to show in case they ask.

I will report him, and I do have the conversation history. Going to give him a bit more time, then call eBay if I don't hear from him.

Was about to suggest he may be waiting for 100 confirmations on the transaction, but that should have been done by now, so you really have no reason to delay notifying ebay. Also, all the listings say the item is in Israel, but the postage is by USPS. It may be that he's inexperienced in putting up such items for sale on ebay or that he's just carrying out a well orchestrated, carelessly executed scam! Either way, if you made your BTC payment over 2 days ago, get onto ebay now!

I'm feeling real fucking dumb right about now. Guess contacting eBay will be pointless, since I paid for them with BTC and have nothing but our messages as proof.

So did he not provide tracking within a few days of sale, did they not show up after a week or two, like pekatete asked how do you know you were scammed? Even with BTC payment a legitimate seller that is so active will most likely not risk loosing his 100% feedback so easily..

This started on March 13th. We messaged back and forth through eBay until we struck a deal, at which point he provided me with a BTC address to send my payment to. Sent him the payment, and asked him a follow up question. No answer on the 13th, or the 14th. On the 15th, I was worried so I wrote him again. Still no answer. I decided to bid up all 3 of them since I had paid for them already, and he only had those 3 to sell. They are legitimately mine, so why not. Trying to get his attention. He finally gets back to me last night, asking why I bid such a ridiculous price on all 3 of his items, proceeds to remove my bids, and sends me another message informing me that he did. Keep in mind he completely ignored my previous messages I sent him after paying him.

The 3 SP20Es are still up for sale, he's still ignoring me, and I can no longer bid on them or use the "ask the seller a question" option. Seems he's banned me from his auctions.

Do I have any recourse? The 3 SP20Es I bought are apparently available for local pickup in France, and he told me he has more SP20Es being hosted in Israel when he was actually communicating with me. I guess the only thing I can do is contact eBay, though I doubt they'll help since I paid with bitcoin.  Undecided

Yes, we are manually catching up the unconfirmed orders.  If the payment shows in the BlockChian, your order is secure.  Please wait for us to catch up to it.

thank you

Can you go over to the S4 thread and answer my question please?
1320  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: March 16, 2015, 01:53:34 PM
FYI

There are few venders selling Bitmain Antminer S4 as NEW or Unopened or USED.  Please make sure the sellers can provide you the original purchase information and any warranty status information.

Should we interpret the fact that you're ignoring my question as bitmain has no plans to fix the broken firmware?

I think we should ask smitty over on the other forum.

Where does he post?

Fucking ridiculous that we have to depend on the good will of a user to fix a company's broken software.

Smit1237 I believe you posted there before me. Thanks

Yeah, I did. I thought you meant a different forum.
