Yeah, I can't see PSUs being watercooled. I'm hoping to see details about their 4U hardware.

I don't know why you'd want something from BFL, but if you're dead set on getting Monarchs buy them here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1002031.0

Looking forward to (hopefully) more details today!

Hi smit,

Have you made a version of the firmware posted by nicehash with the slow fan speed mod?

Also, would you be able to look into the problems with the Jan 29th frimware? In a nutshell, the voltage controls don't work, ie setting anything doesn't actually apply those voltages. Another new problem is that mining on p2pool is totally messed up at speeds of 225MHz or higher. It works perfectly up to 218.25MHz. This wasn't an issue with the Oct. 16th firmware, p2pool worked perfectly at all speeds.

Bitmain has acknowledged the issues, and is "working" on a fix. We all know how long that will take... Would be amazing if you were able to fix one or both of the problems!  Smiley

(I know I could simply use Oct. 16th based firmware, but the Jan 29th firmware is better in every single way... Much more stable)
Hi, this is not so easy task for me since i don't have s4, i will see what i can do.

I'd be happy to test with you using one on my S4s! Smiley I'd say fixing the voltage is the biggest priority. You can add me on skype if you'd like to work on it together. prelude514

If we can get this working I'll give you .1BTC.

Anyone else want to pitch in? I know most of you guys probably won't, but come on... If smit can do this you'll be using his firmware for sure to underclock and save money on power. Don't be greedy pricks! And don't expect bitmain to fix this anytime soon.

I own a metal fab shop, would anyone be interested in either galvanized, aluminum or stainless covers for their S5s? Cardboard is a really bad idea.

I'd be interested, what kind of price do you think ballpark?

Not sure, I need to get my hands on the dimensions. I'd likely use galvanized to keep the price as low as possible. Looks like I'd need to knock out 6 holes per capping with the water jet, 4 PCI-e and 2 data ribbons. I might try to get my hands on a dead or cheap S5 locally to get proper measurements.

Hi mdude,

A while back I had sent you the output from a KNC Titan, did you ever look into if it would be possible to add support for it?

Hello.  It's in my inbox.  I'm pretty sure it's possible, and it's on my to do list.  It's a matter of time.  Right now there isn't much spare time to work on this. Sad

M

Cool. thanks for the update. Smiley

I would because... cats

depends on cost , nice idea thu over what's on it . ID want one or two if the cost isn't to high with shipping.

What material would you guys want it made out of? Galvanized would be cheapest, while stainless would be the most expensive option. I'd need to produce about 15-20 at a time minimum to make it worth firing up the water jet and keep prices as low as possible. Of course costs would be a little lower for bigger batches.

I don't own an S5, are there any technical drawings for it anywhere so I can get dimensions? If not, I'd need to get my hands on one.

After getting my first Antminers up and running over the last few days, I can't say how much I miss SP20s being available.  Sad

Ain't that the truth. Spondoolies are really in a league of their own. Everything else is Fisher Price.

UPDATE:To prevent useless talking we would like to inform that our shop and website may be offline for 2-3 days. Due these days we will move to another server and try to set up our new website. We will do our best to end it all till Monday.

LMAO ,I guess they got a few orders and got out the game before it was to late .

I really hope no one was dumb enough to preorder one of these. If so, you deserve losing the money you sent them.

Here's a pic to give you an idea of the 2 flaky boards:

Do you think I should bother lowering their speeds to try and minimize HW errors? In that screenshot, 0 & 1 are running 1300MHz, while 2 & 3 are running 1280MHz.

Here's my 90MH, for the hell of it:

All 6 blades are running at 1300MHz.

What pisses me off the most about the 2 flaky boards is that I was screwed out of an RMA from pcfli, he told me a new firmware (which never came) would fix the issue.  Roll Eyes

Well, I could use them but I don't want to be a pain. My 60MH unit has 2 blades that like to spit out a whole lot of HW errors for some reason, so I used to run them at a slower speed than the other 2 which run at 1300MHz.

If you have to remove options, would removing 1320 and up be more logical? I don't think most blades will run properly above 1300 without increasing voltage which most people likely won't be able to do.

It's not a pain. I like to provide something that is most usefull.
I am at work tonight and the raspberry pi I use for compiling is not on right now. But I'll change the code for version 3.1, and put the options between 1200 and 1280 back in. And then in the next version I will take out the indeed more logical higher 'in between' levels. (And probably try again to leave them all in as well Tongue )

Sounds good, take you time. Don't rush yourself on my account!

I would continue to buy A2 Terminators -- this is what I do and have accumulated quite a bit of hash (while others are waiting for Hashra products or having issues with their KNC Titans).

What's a fair price for an A2 in your opinion?

I'm finding 110Mh/s units going for about $1100.  If that is fair?  Not sure -- but the market dictates I suppose.

Where are you buying them? New units aren't being manufactured, right?
1237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Overclock image for A2 Innosilicon by Emdje - Extranonce support - V3.1 on: March 27, 2015, 04:12:42 PM
Here's hoping you hear from him soon!

I flashed the new Image on my 60 and 90 MH units, and for some reason they're getting a lot less hw errors. Not that I'm complaining, but what could have caused that? I was previously running version 2.0 on both.

I guess you were never able to get cgminer 4.9 working properly on the A2s? Also, did you ever figure a way of seeing the cgminer screen through ssh/putty?

I think it has to do with the updated stratum code having the miner run more smoothly.
And no I can't get cgminer 4.9 get to work. And if you stop cgminer in the browser you can start cgminer in the terminal when you are logged into the pi, that way you can see the cgminer screen:
Code:
sudo ./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://eu-01.miningrigrentals.com:3333 -u emdje.3166 -p x --A1Pll1 1300 --A1Pll2 1300 --A1Pll3 1300 --A1Pll4 1300 --A1Pll5 1300 --A1Pll6 1300 --diff 4096 --api-listen --api-network --cs 8 --stmcu 0 --hwreset --no-submit-stale --lowmem

Cool, thanks. Going to give that a try later!

I noticed 3.1 is missing a few speed steps between 1200MHz and 1280MHz. Were they broken in 2.0, thus removed?

My new S5s got caught up in customs so I rented 10TH to point at the pool for the next 10 days or so.

Take THAT customs.

 Cool Cool Cool

Good show.

Well that was a pretty big 393% Diff - lets hope for fewer of them in the future Smiley
That's the first block with the new payout addresses so if you didn't notice my comments before, the Payments page has links to both the old and new address.

Got a nice 12.23% one right after! Good job to thedreamer!
Good job indeed with 3.9THs!

Woohoo! My first. Right after some got rented and pulled off the pool. Lolol

I'm getting 3 more miners back on soon though. No worries.  Cheesy

Congrats!! I'm still waiting to pop my block cherry.

I have high hopes that Sfards will turn out to be a breath of fresh air like Spondoolies was. MinerEdge is looking interesting too!
