p2pool & kano's pool. CK's solo pool when I feel like gambling.

Well - finally found that one 316% (awaiting confirm)

 Grin

Now let's bang the next one out with the quickness!

Spun up a node yesterday and pointed some gear at it Shocked
Count me in for a bounty. We can't just let p2pool die.

More of this please!!!! Smiley I will throw some btc at development as well. Smiley
Development isn't the current issue.
You need a workable design that overcomes the current problems first ...

No, but it's an issue nonetheless. A bounty might hopefully get the ball rolling.

Nema L6-30R on a 30A breaker,  PDU, c14 to c13 cords from digikey (or wherever).

This is the best way.

BTW it's 240V, not 220V.

Give --bitmain-homemode a try, makes them significantly quieter and they run about 5c hotter. Very good tradeoff IMO.

7 watts per 300KH/s is horribly inefficient for a scrypt ASIC.

I applaud you for going the extra mile to scam people, instead of only creating a render on your PC.

Bravo!

I've been waiting on service for 3 months now. Haven't received any replacement parts for any of my S4s yet.

I've also been waiting to get my promised compensation for a Batch 1 S4 PSU failure. Don't remember when they promised it exactly, but I'd say I've been waiting for close to 5 months now.

Great stuff, thank you good Sir!

The hash rate shown under workers is a 1h average I imagine?

Hi kano,

Just switched over from p2pool for a while, can't take that bad luck anymore

Can you tell me what this is about?

Why 11.43/8.22THs? Happened when I switched my S4s from 218MHz to 225MHz. My workers are all showing lower speeds (about 1.75TH/s vs 2.2TH/s @ 218MHz) but if I look in the pool stats it's displaying what should be the right speed.  Huh

Give it time. Those numbers are averages.

Ah, I see. I mustn't have noticed it before. Thanks!

Dudes... It's the end of the newest last beginning.

The transition.

This is getting very rough indeed.  Cry

Having the hash rate at 1/2 of what it was not that long ago doesn't help.

M

For sure. Guess the thread title needs to be edited to reflect that.

Damn, you weren't even using the Oct. 26th firmware. Try re-download the file, maybe it got corrupted. If that doesn't work either, try upgrading to Oct. 26th firmware, and then to the latest.  Huh
1420  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: February 13, 2015, 08:38:23 PM
hi,

I have tryed to update the firmware

https://www.bitmaintech.com/support.htm?pid=00720140930114518599JXGHWWD80660
https://www.bitmaintech.com/files/download/initramfs.bin.SD-20150129.tar.gz

I get this error;
tar: invalid magic tar: short read cp: can't stat '*': No such file or directory

Any idea?

Is there also a way to get the antminer s4 to restart after a power failure?

Thanks,
Sam

You aren't unpacking the file, right? You have to upload the firmware as it was downloaded.

No way to automatically power on with the stock PSU. Replacing it with a different PSU (or 2) is the only way.
