One of Gaw's biggest mistakes is banning customers and investors from hashtalk. You take their money and then shut them down when they ask questions or make comments you don't like ... hello.
Nothing like adding fuel to the fire. These unhappy campers have no choice but to vent and discuss in other venues like btctalk, gethashing, reddit, etc.
They complain about btctalk over at hashtalk but they created their own monsters.

Couldn't agree more. Heavy handed and draconian modding and suppression of legitimate questions serve only to create a hidden swell of resentment that will ultimately break out and be X times worse than if the problems/questions/issues had been handled at the earliest possible point. |

Well, why lose houses and spouses over something as silly as a virtual coin? Only people who trusted GAW know the answer to that. Calling a virtual coin "silly" is what I like to call a "healthy attitude." I'm surprised you can dismiss Paycoin/Paybase as such and still keep things cordial with those who have staked too much on this gamble. I believe I've earned my stripes in this business and having been burned and rewarded in equal measure means I "get it" I was actually being a little facetious when saying silly virtual coin but you get the drift. These people are grown ups and have made conscious decisions with their money to be involved with GAW/XPY. Some of them are former Blackcoin stalwarts too so I know their history. I'm not their Dad. They're good people. They know where I'm coming from and vice versa. Respect is vital in this. I can disagree with them without losing respect for them. As for the others on HT, I wouldn't really want to go there as its a minefield and I would clearly upset someone. I'd rather educate and inform than make people feel like sh*t about a bad choice. |

Well I applaud you for coming onto here at bitcointalk. As you know it's all about open discussion. The main thing you have to remember, is the reason it's not run like a good company, is because it's not a company. It's a ponzi scheme. He doesn't have huge successful businesses he sold, no house, no fancy cars, no $100M, $10M or even $1M. He's just trying to pull off a scam, but you already know that. I'm sorry you have money tied up in this. Again, that's why this thread is here to keep others from losing their money. Glad you made it over. Yes, that would be me. I have many friends that have staggering amounts of money locked up there. Now that the moderation there isn't quite so rampant, still harsh but a tad better, I have taken the opportunity to ask some pertinent questions. I feel that, as someone who runs their own BTC based biz, have been the Head of the Blackcoin Foundation and trodden the boards of the BTC exhibition and Conference circuit throughout last year, and will be doing the same again this year.... I have a pretty good view of all this. I've read every single page that's been written on here and HT and get.hashing If I can get one person to challenge the status quo there, then its a job done Expecting your supplier to perform as stated is not unreasonable, my customers expect it of me and I would equally expect a hard time if I fail them. When a Company fails to accept even the most basic of challenges to their practises this should be the warning, the clarion call to run like F**k I am trying to help others see that their money is at risk, a risk they hadn't anticipated or been made clearly aware of when originally investing their money. I think you have me mistaken for a GAW convert, I'm not, far from it. Yes I have a couple of 3 month cashtakers as I mined the crap out of HP for a 10 day period and cashed it all in when they swapped over to XPY. But seriously invested, hell no, I saw so many red flags I thought I was in Bejing. The cashtakers were always to be written off and anything they produce is considered a (very) small bonus. And coming here.... I've been here all along and for a long time but thank you for the kind words all the same I have spent a lot of time researching JG and his history and I believe I can talk with confidence about why he shouldn't be trusted with other peoples money. However, I won't lecture and I won't force my view on those that don't want to listen... being a fan of GAW to be is like being an alcoholic, giving it up HAS to come from the person hooked on the juice. With that said, not everyone there has sipped on the kool-aid, some people genuinely believe this has a future, some of those are even my friends. Ya know what, stop me if I'm getting out of hand, but here's my scoop after think big pictures. Homero said payouts were partially coming from day trading. Zencloud used to offer a program where if you would just KEEP money in there, you would be paid a % of that in HashPoints. That makes sense now that you think about it right? I used to trade stocks, and the more money you have, even if the market is going against your position, you get more bulletproof as you have more money to take your average price down. This is where things get interesting. Bitcoin goes tits up. Homero, who has been trading Bitcoin to enable payouts, gets absolutely hosed. He has to cancel Hashlet payouts. His mining farm from Bitmain he was buying or renting is absolute garbage now. He liquidates the mining farm. He said on twitter he was selling his "farms" right when the Bitmain Christmas deal went up for 1.9 ph/s and then he deleted his twitter post about it. A company needs money. Selling the farm gave him some breathing room to come up with another plan to save this "business". Insert Paycoin2 scam here. Instead of getting no returns mining 1 satoshi for 24 hours, you can mine this "store credit HashPoints". The only thing HashPoints could be used for is Paycoin2 (code name Hash Coin). Gaw buys some more time, meanwhile probably making back some money he lost in the market by being an idiot. The HashStakers are a great sell to noobs and idiots who think they can buy them and then resell them for more like they did with Hashlets early on. They cost nothing. Uh oh, some looming lawsuits are coming from all the fraud I've been committing lately hyping this paycoin2 shit. Need to liquidate more money to pay for expensive good lawyers who tell me to scrub all the evidence of my stupid mouth off the internet. Meanwhile, GAW has employees that need to be paid. Eric and Joe knew that this was coming down fast and they all knew of the investigation coming. They jump ship. Too bad the captain can't. I'm sure I missed something but that is a pretty good speculation.
All of that is accurate, except for about 95% of it... Shame though, because you were really onto something. I will say the following, to address your statement at the end. One thing I am comfortably saying publicly, is that nobody in the company had all the pieces to the puzzle except the one who envisioned it all. It's as if that was the intention all along, only share the bare minimum with whom and of what was needed to build it. Even those of us in the "upper echelon" were totally in the dark on many of the "finer details". I am prepared to show any authority who asks, it was immediately upon learning those finer details that moved my hand on resigning. The only regret I carry is how long it took me to see the big picture. My leaving had nothing to do with rumors of pending investigations as I had already resigned before that was even a topic. I am not a fool, if there is an investigation underway, my leaving doesn't waive my past involvement. This is the bottom line with all of this. NOTHING needs to be manufactured to pin him into a corner, nothing needs to be fabricated to enhance the daftness of his ideas. He has created, carved, managed, developed and built the state he is in all by himself. No assistance was required. You do not need Hubble quality specs to see that this has got flaws all the way through it like a stick of Blackpool rock.  |

I do agree that the recent BTC price plummet has caused GAW more trouble than they had expected.
I believe it fundamentally undermined their ability to payout and it possibly still does.

Any "Industry Innovator" and Coin leader would know that removing coins from circulation does NOT improve the long term value and chances of the coin. Anyone that tells you otherwise is clearly on an agenda to dupe you and/or take your money.
Claiming the buy back program will benefit the coin is hilarious. What it actually does is highlight the total and complete loss of trust and faith holders have in it.
