2041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Government does not like crypto? on: October 21, 2018, 10:26:38 PM
this is not beneficial for the government, because thanks to the block chain and cryptocurrency, the economy of any state can suffer greatly, but I think sooner or later the state will legalize cryptocurrency
Most of the country that legalize crypto have no problem dealing with it especially japan, quite the opposite they got additional income for the country because they are legalizing it. It's actually just a matter of how smart a government can manage to deal with crypto.Like japan they could turn something that to be said disaster for centralized economy into earning and that is awesome.
2042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is it secure to use MyEtherWallet? on: October 21, 2018, 10:17:24 PM
Yes, this wallet is safe. Most importantly, you must carefully use this wallet. A lot of people lose their money due to the fact that they go to scam sites.
It's not safe then. Seriously, when a wallet can be impersonated by phishing sites then it means it's not safe by any means because if the users dont put so much attention into this thing they may ended up losing some amount of money which is not good. better use hardware wallet I must say
2043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is KYC For Bounty Hunters Good? Lets Share Our Views! on: October 21, 2018, 10:14:45 PM
Asking for KYC on bounties is never a good idea,  a good bounty manager should be able to manage his/her bounty well with an accurate spreadsheet.  Asking https enter to upload documents is not necessary,  KYC is for the investors because their coin is distributed directly by the ICO team not from the bounty manager
Totally wrong, sometimes there's an ICO that regulate  even for bounty hunter to submit their KYC because simply the project is distributing money to that people aswell.
It's not wrong though, what's wrong is when the ICO is scam and asking for KYC, our data could be stolen.
2044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Monero become next BTC? on: October 21, 2018, 03:12:14 PM
Monero is a good and well-developed altcoin, suitable for private transactions, safe and fast! BBR coin is also a similar altcoin but the price is attractive to invest!
The blockchain of monero that is not transparent will be an obstacle for future regulation and will definitely making it harder to become next BTC if aiming
the market capitalization to grow simply because people are not going to put money there and get into trouble facing government AML
2045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is ICO king, Do you agree? on: October 21, 2018, 02:54:22 PM
I agree. Ethereum is a platform that is used to create your coins and is the most popular ICO tool. It can be safely called the king of all ICO.
King of all ICO means it is largely used for various project to fundraise their project through ICO and most of them are using ethereum smart contract.
that itself already qualify ethereum to  be the king of ICO unlike other that barely used for practical use.
2046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC for ICO, is it good or bad idea? on: October 20, 2018, 10:50:25 PM
I think so many people are using this Know Your Customer thing to get people's information for their own good. To me, before I will do a KYC in your ICO then I know the project Im dealing with.
It is required by the authority, not that the ICO developer is trying to gather all your important data but it exist to prevent money laundering.
Maybe a scam ICO will do such thing but good and real ICO will never do that, however it's not wrong to be so paranoid about this KYC though.
2047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Running wallet secure on: October 20, 2018, 10:38:07 PM
Can WE trust a Metamask? I'm pretty sure WE are. Register a new wallet, and use the private key to it only once - to import into Metamask. To monitor the balance, use etherscan or bot in the telegram. Use a separate browser for Metamask, do not update it (browser and Metamask).

Metamask can be one of the options for security of wallet and yet currently metamask cannot be a good measure as a security system, it would be better if you use Trezor
Built in wallet in a browser with add on extension? I dont think that will be "Secure" enough until someone finds out how to steal information from that extension. Hardware wallet is the only secure option out there because you will always be required to verify the transaction manually through the hardware
2048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it true that 99% of all airdrops are shitcoins of bad projects ? on: October 20, 2018, 10:30:44 PM
All I know is that all airdrop programs are shitcoin because as long as I follow Airdrop I never get coins that have quality when I get it and it all ends up just as a decoration on the wallet so I think not to do airdrop because it only wastes time though not all the airdrops but reality what happens is that the airdrop coin doesn't have a good price, even many don't get the price.
There are actually very few project that did airdrop and they are such a huge success, unfortunately all those project exist exactly at the early stage of the airdrop.
Those project are so good at keeping up that the main purpose of their airdrop is simply seeking attention while the project progress is still continuing really good.
2049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can blockchain replace bank? on: October 19, 2018, 10:40:58 PM
This is a topic I am really passionate about for some time now since I joined cryptocurrency. It is very clear that society will always come up with new and better ways of doing things than our predecessors had. In time passed, it used to barter trade which evolved into goods for goods and later gold was the medium of exchange and soon banks came in and on and on. So it is crystal clear that the banking system will also fade away sooner than people think and believe in now and the cryptocurrency industry is well poised to take the position of the banks.
Or the bank itself will use blockchain technology and make everything more efficient? maybe that is the case right now since so many bank have tried using blockchain until now, they are experimenting how blockchain could improve the efficiency in their internal. That actually prove that blockchain is useful in practical use while it also means bank will nowhere soon to fade
2050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if all the governments accept crypto? on: October 18, 2018, 10:50:55 PM
If the government approves of cryptocurrency, then all people on the planet will be easier to live. The question is, is it profitable for the government to approve cryptocurrency? After all, it will completely destroy the economy that is now
A small country with small gdp may get destroyedby the existence of cryptocurrency, their economical state is quite fragile that a touch of cryptocurrency could potentially destroy their economy. just look up to those country and compare their overall market capitalization to cryptocurrency's
2051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people try to create their own coins? on: October 18, 2018, 10:45:58 PM
surely many expect to get some profit from all this. I am sure that many do not get anything but still someone earns very well on this
Some people just want to experiment how things working out and they are quite curious to cryptocurrency, that way you can't really blame them because most of the time
their coin will just become useless anyway, no one knows and no one willingly to contribute
2052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: All my tokens in MEW stolen! on: October 14, 2018, 03:58:37 PM
I just logged into MEW and when check my balance everything except 45 tokens everything else has gone! My wallet was hacked, but where have all my tokens gone?

I am devastated. Has anyone else been hacked how is this possible?

I am not sure what to do! please advice folks.

You should keep your private key as safe as possible. Do not entrust it to anyone! Not even your mother! It is not bad to doubt everyone especially when it comes to your money or investments.

Never click on suspicious sites or links sent to your email. This is the most common way of phishing. I just can't see why many still fall for this! If a link was sent to you and it is to direct you to your wallet address, don't fall for that. It's an obvious phishing attempt. Go directly to the main site. This is the safest access.
I agree. Phishing would seem a ridiculous attempt to steal money, but unfortunately it is still very effective. Often people are not attentive where they go and where they enter their key and because of the usual neglect they find themselves in such situations.
All my tokens also been hacked, and hacker is still taking away new ones that come for old bounty ...Now my wallet has 3th owners besides me. And that means that the hacker also sells stolen keys. Those two are stupid, they are here, on BTT with addresses of recipients' wallets. Hacker is clever. He is careful and works with new wallets only through exchanges, even eth on commission he replenished from exchanges. It is impossible to calculate and find his!
Maybe you should contact the DT member to give that man red trust to his account so that atleast they got an impact of what they are doing. But be sure to bring the evident because otherwise
you will be accused of lying if your evidences is not enough or atleast not strong enough.
2053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Major benefit of Ethereum? on: October 14, 2018, 03:53:02 PM
Ethereum is popular, stable, has a huge developer community, is technologically acceptable, its main drawback is the slow rate of transactions, but this will be corrected with the introduction of the Raiden network.
Ethereum can make it easier for me to trade because the coins are used in the ICO's of most coins.
That's the plus of having huge community base compared to other platform. Ethereum just has so many decentralized exchange, web wallet and many more .
Compare it to the competitor, they hardly have the community that wanted to develop useful tool, the community is dead so the coin aswell.
2054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: All my tokens in MEW stolen! on: October 13, 2018, 10:46:44 PM
Just take and buy a hardware wallet. This is the best way to help you protect yourself from hackers. It is not necessary to invent anything, the cost of a hardware wallet is small, 100 - 200 dollars.

It's a bad idea for you to only have one wallet because it can diminished all ,you must able to transfer in every wallet to avoid for that and to protect your earnings as well .This is your lesson so make sure to be aware by the next time.
Most of the hardware wallet are really difficult to be hacked because it requires you to insert the code shown in the device in every step you take when it comes to using your wallet.
Also, most of hardware wallet will generate new address once the latest one used so it's more safe and convenient.
2055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: POWR: the future of renewable energies on: October 13, 2018, 04:00:32 PM
After the pump of some days ago, it seems that Power Ledger (powr) found a new bottom around this level.

Considering that its market cap is 60 millions, and that it enables the trading of renewable energies ( a market worth billions of dollars) the upside potential is huge.

The green economies are becoming more and more important, and the blockchain will play a key role in this.
Being an early adopter could be very rewarding Smiley

It's still a speculation and how can you sure about that? they don't even release any product and then should i believe with any speculation about that if there was no an evidence that will tell us about the truth of that project. I will not try to take it seriously because it's another speculation.
2056  Other / Archival / Re: Is this the end for Altcoins? on: October 13, 2018, 03:54:34 PM
All Altcoins are in red. What causes this dump and does this mean that it's over for certain amount of Altcoins?

We are talking about more then -10% for a lot of coins: Charts
No, it can't end, it all depends on the number of bids, it looks like it won't end just because the price decreases, there is still time for the next two months to see it, I personally believe that the altcoin will rise again.
The price will always jump back again to the top. as far as i know about that the market will always try to rebound from the bottom to the middle chart again.
Everyone should learn more and more from this case and as you can see that it looks like the market is rebound right now.
2057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have I lost it? on: October 13, 2018, 03:46:43 PM
Hello guys, I logged in one morning to notice that I have been brought back to newbies, instead of Jr member I was, or even promoted to a member.
I don't really know what happened. But I noticed seeing lot of people as newbies, and  I can't do any signature campaign again. what should I do, to gain my rank back. Please help if you have an idea.
You need at least 1 merit to become the jr member, you should create a lot of constructive post to reach jr member level and without it and that will be impossible for you to reach that level dude. Please you must read a lot of the latest rules in the bitcointalk and theymos has updated it with a new one that put more restriction to the low level member.
2058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is it secure to use MyEtherWallet? on: October 13, 2018, 03:19:03 PM
I want to create new wallet using MyEtherWallet(dot)com, is it recommended wallet and easy to use?

Yes that is the best website for wallet or sending ethereums issue. and they are really safe. please feel free to use that website.
I bold what could be a huge mistake here, any online wallet especially web wallet is just too risky, it's too exposed. Imagine log in with just private key and not even encrypted. Who knows a malicious software or virus could be looking behind.
It's always better to use hardware wallet or atleast if you dont want to spend money just use desktop wallet that have 2fa
2059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Projects are abusing blockchain technology. on: October 11, 2018, 11:37:42 PM
That's what usually happen. decentralizing something that's no need to be decentralized, so many people are just got interested to making a new ICO for easy money while their project is really not worth it even just to be presented to the public. Their project created just for money grabber meanwhile there's a lot of project that's good aswell but it's quite valid to say that people who just making ICO for money grab is abusing blockchain technology.
2060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many projects are dead? on: October 11, 2018, 11:10:28 PM
It's really sad actually how very few projects pushes through, in fact, the top 100 from coinmarketcap is merely an indicator of volume, not project development. I think only the top 20 or 30 of them was really able to push through with the product and service offerings they made to the public and only this number of projects was able to scale from their original projection.

And i really think that this scam or abandoned projects is quite damaging to the cryptospace, they destroy the confidence of people and ruin the level of trust that cryptocurrency has been slowly gaining not only from the public but from the governments too.
It's really normal, just see how much company out there that did private sale of its stock can't survive the hard market. Building company is not as easy as eating candy. You need to go through many thing and even slightest mistake could made a world difference, that's why you need to analyze project furthermore to see the potential and how it will execute.
