I would've been all over Civ if I found it earlier in life. Now there are too many things that distract me from getting hooked on a single game for thousands of hours, which is the type of game that Civ appears to be to me based on my limited playtime.

I probably spent a good YEAR of 24/7 playing time on the original DOS based Civ.  I never actually bought it - I had a pirated copy, and the data file for nuclear explosions was missing.   Whenever an AI civ launched a nuke at me, it ended my game.  So I had to be really careful...

Lmao, Ghandi threatening nuclear strikes is brilliant.

I've had nearly a decade of close to 24/7 play when I went to school. Actually glad I went that route too, since I've picked up more skills (quantitative and logical) and resilience than I would've otherwise. As a result, I really don't get what the fuzz about gaming addiction is all about.

and speaking of brown pants...when was the last BMB sighting?

I was thinking to bring the mayor out just to distribute his wealth of spendable merits. But that crash broke my heart. So I've been drinking.
Ahhaha sybil problems Roll Eyes
wait oh oh sorry to hear that part Shocked
and I expect more broken hearts are incoming
best to stay comfortably numb till the bears are finally given the coup de grace.

When I was a child I had a fever. My hands swelled up like two balloons.  Now I got that feeling once again. I cannot explain, but you might understand..
Just remember that nothing really changes for the worse even if things went south here. And there are plenty of other opportunities if you're really intent on making a fortune.

I agree Ty!

Trezor is the best hardware out there IMO.

Cannot wait until the new one comes out by the end of this month.
Didn't Trezor have some issue where it basically exposed all vital information with minimal effort? Of course that would require it being stolen, but still.
2044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much do you tend to invest in an ICO on: February 09, 2018, 04:44:33 PM
Why no 0 ? Cheesy
If the project or platform of a potential ICO for i tend to wait its coin gets listed rather than investing on an ICO, prices are much lower during that time because of a lot of factors.
I've only had one single ICO that went under its ICO price so far. Everything else was stable above it. Granted I usually got the better rates, but still.
2045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never invest no product ICOs on: February 09, 2018, 04:42:07 PM
Totally agree. There should be at least a working prototype with some user base. Plus, now the US government is looking closely into ICO's that didn't have a ready product and sold their tokens. Tezos is being sued for instance.
I am sure that this year among ICO there will be much less scam. Many states already adopt laws which regulate cryptocurrencies and actions with them. And it only beginning.

Finally only the best and honest projects will survive. They will let their investors to earn money and give us additional profits and ways to earn a bit. For instants, students can earn their pocket money taking part in Bounty programs, and doing it they will understand how the cryptomarket works.

I agree with you. Also, I would like to see ICO market more transparent and professional
I'm pretty sure that there'll always be a bunch of shitty ICOs in this market. It's too easy to set one up after all. But they will lose a lot of attention in the long run as markets mature and people realize that throwing money around blindly can't be sustainable.

Civilization VI

You are the FIRST person I see to mention this game.

I think it really ruined the Civ series - too many things (culture, faith, science, tourism) to keep track of.

2047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Girls in crypto world on: February 09, 2018, 04:36:22 PM
There are some girls in Crypto, but the space is a male dominated space, ssomeone read above that it is a ratio of 10 :1 male to female but I think it is more than that, to me it is 100:1, male to female. I don't know why it is so but we need to encourage girls to join the space
There's some investing app that caters to younger people, forgot the exact name. But apparently there's far more females on that one than males.

Honestly still can't tell if this is a joke after reading the whitepaper. Grin

Well this is interesting to say the least. Sounds like a gimmick but who knows.
It's a joke, a very good one. And it's self aware too.

Russian security officers have arrested several scientists working at a top-secret Russian nuclear warhead facility for allegedly mining crypto-currencies.

The suspects had tried to use one of Russia's most powerful supercomputers to mine Bitcoins, media reports say.
You can't make this shit up. I love reality.
2050  Other / Off-topic / Re: I know WHO is Satoshi Nakamoto on: February 09, 2018, 03:40:25 PM
Obviously. After all, we're all slaves to an alien super AI today. When aliens landed in Roswell in 1947 they implanted AI viruses in our computer networks which have taken over the world by now. That's why everybody is glued to social media. Mark Zuckerberg is just an AI as well, but not a perfect one, that's why his behaviour is so strange.

Do you really think so? what else we got?
Why else would the US gov not declassify all Rosswell documents? They're a controlled entity meant to keep us distracted from what is really going on.

2052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: February 09, 2018, 02:58:31 PM
Honestly I'll take a green for 100.
If it still has 1,5% payback I'd "downgrade" from the 500 MCO card for a green one at 100. I'd prefer it to be a 500 token card though.
2053  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 09, 2018, 02:57:38 PM
Also I see tech advancements are quite astonishing: when the market realizes what Bitcoin is achieving nowadays these price levels will be memory.

I'm already looking forward to the day when folks that think Bitcoin is overvalued now, their jaws dropping open when it hits $50k. Could happen in as little as 2-3 years.
Folks that think Bitcoin is overvalued don't understand its potential whatsoever. $50k would still be pretty low.
2054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: February 09, 2018, 02:27:08 PM
5000 mco card makes no sense as there is nothing worth offering to lock up that much money between the current  black card and grey or rose without devaluing the black premium card holders. What are they going to offer a jelly of the month club? Why offer a card to such limited market?

A 100 mco jade green card for asia is needed if they were smart, perfact price for the perfact market.  With that being said it won't happen as they clearly demenstrated their marketing abilities as a fail.
I'm also not sure what they could add to a 5000 MCO card that would make it worthwhile without degrading the black card. Your last comment is nonsensical though. They have not yet started any kind of marketing campaign.

Any hold above $8k for the next 3 days, or a small dip below and then quickly back up above $8k, would be extremely bullish.

Last time it breached the 200EMA within 9 weeks of ATH was in 2011 and it wasn't as deep.

True. I'm surprised we got there so soon tbh. Also bullish.
I'm quite happy that we went down now, and not later. This retracement just primes a more stable run into the 6 figures I would guess.

Rand Paul unleashed an epic rant against the U.S. spending bill.

Bet against the national debt! Buy Bitcoin!
The comments on that video are spectacular. I'm amazed at how loud people with absolutely zero understanding of economics are time and time again.

stakes 3 weeks weren't updated
Just be patient. This issue has been mentioned numerous times throughout this thread.

The dev team is currently busy with the ICO and stakes always took at least one week to be updated in the past as well. You can rest assured that you will get your appropriate bounty with this team.

What if I told you it's satoshi in that car?
Everyone would say 'huh cool'

What if I told you it's Craig Wright the fraudulent satoshi beloved of bcashers?

A large Bitcoin ATM network added Bcash to its machines ... labelled as 'Bitcoin Cash'
100's of support tickets later, it was removed due to lost funds, complaints it wasn't Bitcoin, etc.
Bcash passing off as Bitcoin is losing normal people money

-needs moar hardforks
Is there a source for the BCash ATM story? Looks beautiful.

What if Elon Musk just committed the perfect murder?

 Shocked

That would really be something ..... movie material

What an epic opportunity lost to send a Bitcoin paperwallet beyond Mars inside the Tesla's glove box compartment.

You will never know!!! Smiley (pardon... "we" )  Roll Eyes

But it would be way better if we knew the public address to send our gifts to future potential alien civilisations.... oh, what a great scam idea have I just had... Maybe even ICO potential Smiley
Imagine all the future people racing their spacecrafts into space Teslas to try and find a private key that is not there.

Not need to think that far in time... Just imagine the shock when I go and redeem the private key myself.

P.S.: The picture itself has great Bitcoin potential... maybe one of the resident photoshop wizards could stamp a nice Bitcoin logo on the hood and pretend it is Satoshi driving it?
It would be way more fun to redeem it after the first people try to get the key themselves though. Sad
