Recreational drugs are different from hard drugs such as heroin and opium, and are mostly harmless. Have you ever heard of anyone dying as a result of over-dose from smoking marijuana? Even I haven't tried any of these drugs till now. But that doesn't mean that I have the right to infringe in the personal liberty of others and ask them to stop consuming drugs. They're not exactly harmless, but they're far safer than alcohol and tobacco which are commonly accepted across most societies. There are numerous positive benefits to some of the "recreational drugs" as well, which puts a new light to their classification as schedule X drugs with no medical value. I'm pretty sure that a few decades from now humans will have a very different outlook on recreational drug use due to the renaissance of research in these substances. |

Most of the media sources reported that china is soon going to ban all websites linked to crypto trading and ICOS and foreign exchanges.A mailbox of PBOC was hacked and a fake press release was sent to media sources.It also said that PBOC and the HKMA have decided to announce a new anti money laundering regulatory framework.But later it was known that they had no such idea.
It created a lot of damage to bitcoin.Actually the hacker wanted to bring the bitcoin price down and he achieved it.
Here's my take on this. Everyone should take everything coming from China with a grain of salt. Since the sudden U-turn we have heard numerous fake news from them, and now it clearly says that they are really creating massive FUD to bring crypto to its knees. There was one thread, I can't remember posting about this but with no links so I presumed that this is already fake news but the damaged has been done. So I urge everyone, to be really careful and cautious of everything they read, specially coming from China or Russia. I honestly don't think that the China FUD even mattered all that much. A correction was imminent after such a major bull run. China might have been a catalyst, but I don't think it triggered anything that wouldn't have happened anyways. If anything, they might've helped us by correcting the market and thus preparing it for a strong 2018. |

Quite suspicious if this is caused by a hacker. Why would PBoC let such a thing slip for days or weeks before taking action and releasing a statement that it is not them? Something doesn't pan out in here. Just like the past China events, I'm not buying this one. It's a major FUD caused by their own handle and surely they'd immediately take it down or release some statements to claim that it isn't them who published those.
Whatever the reason is, it already caused a massive panic on the market at the end of the day.
I'm genuinely surprised that people still care about any news out of China. They've been playing the same game for such a long time that everybody should've learned by now. |

I quite like the Banach Tarski Paradox. Basically states that spheres in euclidean spaces can be de-assembled into parts and then glued back together into two spheres, both of which have the same dimensions as the original sphere. In short, it's a proven theorem that duplicates spheres.
I remember seeing an episode of vSauce about this, very insightful. I watched that episode too, well after having studied the paradox at university. He actually managed to visualize it quite well. Really enjoyed that one. |

Sorry, mine isn't scientific... God is supposed to be all knowing - he controls the past present and future so he knows everything that will happen to you. He knows from the moment he creates you if you are going to do something bad with your free will and be sent to hell. Why create souls just to torture them for all eternity? God is supposed to be loving...  Imagine being God yourself. What would knowing past, present and future as well as omnipresence mean? From a logical perspective it would imply the complete absence of time, or changing moments. So if I was God in the way that he's being described, I'd be quite interested in limiting my own being in order to actually fucking experience anything whatsoever, even if it meant temporarily suffering or being convinced of mortality. Kind of like we enjoy watching depressing or horrifying movies just to experience something that we haven't yet. |

Could possibly be the 5000 MCO card that was being talked about. Yea this seems most likely. Although monaco has said they weren't happy with the look and feel of the grey and rose gold 500 mco cards, as they wanted them to feel more 'premium'. There is a small possibility this could replace that but I'm just speculating. Hope this is the case. Don't like either of the colours. Both the grey & the rose look a bit insipid. Really doesn't matter if it is grey, red or pink. Doesn't matter how it looks as long as it will be released soon and working properly. It does matter. Perhaps not in the short term from a token price perspective. But in the long term it's very important. It also matters from a using perspective, as I wouldn't really care about a grey/rose gold card, but would be quite content with the red/green ones. I don't want to sacrifice perks in exchange for looks though, so that's a very important factor for me and surely for others as well. |
