2061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Major arguments against Bitcoin born out of ignorance on: April 28, 2021, 03:21:03 AM
For people who don't like Bitcoin, anything even as minuscule as its name can be used against it but for people who understand well its concept and its full potential there is no need to convinced then of the value of Bitcoin. Many fear that governments will eventually control Bitcoin and yes they can do that in many ways but right now there is that consensus emerging that controlling with the aim of destroying Bitcoin can be futile and that instead of killing why not allow it to contribute a lot towards a country's economic development. In my view, governments should be looking at Bitcoin as just another foreign exchange asset...there is no need to be afraid of another's fiat money, right?
That is the reason why it is called ignorance, every small detail is going to be a catalyst for making stupid argument. How does the government control bitcoin though? The reason that I can think of as to why they want to destroy bitcoin is because they don't like the idea that their people has the freedom and not overly reliant of their government.
2062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Britcoin" Scam, UK's new CBDC on: April 27, 2021, 08:39:50 AM
This is just speculation anyway. They are still looking into it so this might not exist for a very long time. To be honest, the sounds like one of those fake Chinese products that tries to copies something like "Adidas" and naming it "Adidang"  Grin.
Well they want to make it look hip so they combined the two words British and coin to make the portmanteau Britcoin, I mean there is nothing wrong with that, the problem is that people don't have the necessary skills to read as simple as that. Maybe we should let them try and let the performance decide that it is a scam.
2063  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are comfortable investing in government controlled investments on: April 27, 2021, 07:14:25 AM
Simple !!! Because they believe that it is much safer than in any platform and if you are talking about crypto to be their investing option?

well it won't happen for now and will take long time to happen.

But in time when the adoption finally happens in all part of the world , believe me they will take it from here.
It is definitely safer compared to other platforms like the decentralized ones since the government has an insurance that your investment will be safe compared to decentralized platform like bitcoin which is safe but the moment that your account or address gets compromised, then you will have to wait for the inevitable which is the loss of the funds.
2064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: RIP - One of the first Bitcoin code reviewers dies on: April 27, 2021, 06:30:29 AM
It's the first time I've heard of it. It's unfortunate to see people with technical expertise go. I saw some of his posts denoting someone with good experience and culture in understanding digital currencies and how Bitcoin works.
I'm going to read more about him, so it looks like he knows a lot
White hats don't want the spotlight and it is understandable why no one has heard of him, what I am more surprised is that he died so young in my opinion, 40 is where your life starts. Of course he knows a lot because he tried to breach bitcoin to find vulnerabilities. My condolences to the family of this wonderful person.
2065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal CEO: Demand for PayPal cryptocurrency has exceeded expectations! on: April 27, 2021, 05:46:58 AM
So many people have a paypal account already linked to a debit/credit card, it's not too surprising that with the bull run, millions took the opportunity to buy some crypto, and bitcoin in particular.

Of course doing it that way you don't own the keys so you don't really own crypto, but people don't even know that.
I think that the CEO didn't highly think that cryptocurrency integration in their platform is going to get big and think of it more like a side option for their user base. It is safe to have it stored there compared to other online wallets because PayPal has a more secured platform compared to other.
2066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell in May and Go Away. What do you think? on: April 27, 2021, 04:59:30 AM
If anyone is in profit he can sell but selling in loss is not suitable.According to market history  market still has to go rise up to end of this year.
Holding in good top coins is also the alternate option.
Just hodl if you won't get a substantial amount of profit when there is a big pump in prices. If you have a considerably decent amount then you will probably be good to go with selling for a profit.
2067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC crash game wanted on: April 27, 2021, 03:59:18 AM
I think there are some users that offer source code for crash game in the forum, you may not be on the right place to find since there is a Services discussion in the forum where everyone there offers their services although you have to tread carefully because scams are unregulated in this forum sadly.
2068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: OSCARS 2021- Nominees, Odds and Predictions! on: April 27, 2021, 03:15:25 AM
The big surprise was that Chadwick Boseman couldn't win the award for the best actor, for his performance in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. He had odds of 1.06-1.08. Looking at the odds, I was all but certain that the prize would go to him. Anthony Hopkins had odds of 8.00, but he managed to win the award for his performance in The Father. Others (Riz Ahmed, Steven Yeun.etc) never had any serious odds.

Similarly, Nomadland had odds of 1.15 for winning the prize for the best picture. The only movie to offer any meaningful competition was The Trial of the Chicago.
It's not like every people has to automatically win the award, I am sure he deserves the award but if there are other actors who have performed much better than Chadwick then I am pretty sure that it is alright that he didn't posthumously awarded.

Congratulations to BIG clan for reverse sweeping Extra Salt and making a comeback from being 0-2 series score to make it 3-2 by winning Train, Vertigo and Overpass. All 4 maps very close affair being 14-16, 16-13, 16-14, 16-14. I thought it was over and Extra Salt were going to win it 3-1 during vertigo. Extra Salt were 13-9 up as T's while BIG clan were broke. Incredible comeback.

Edit: They win FunSpark ULTI 2020 Europe Final.
That is a crazy comeback considering they are behind in terms of net worth which means that they have to make do with almost no secondary guns and a calculated amount of throwables.
2070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io and Southampton! Cool move ! on: April 27, 2021, 01:42:22 AM
I am more excited about cryptocurrency in general than about sportsbet company. They are predominantly a cryptocurrency casino even though fiat is also accepted. So when they are associated with big names like this (not the only one though) cryptocurrency gets a lot of visibility to a new segment of crowd. This is indeed great in general for the crypto market because the chance of adoption goes up and people from a different segment of society get awareness of cryptocurrency.
Can't take it away from the fans of the Football club and at the same time the betting site, they are excited for this and yes you are right but we can't be killjoy about this.
2071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are females welcomed in gambling thread? on: April 27, 2021, 12:23:58 AM
Oh, again, nobody is going to ask you about your gender. Here you are just a user and gender becomes a thing only if you want to make a thing of it. I am not sure why are you posing this question, but anyway, ladies are welcome like anywhere else of course.

There is something to be said about the femenine angle in sports, business and other areas - most times females can see different things in the picture. In investing, it has been proven that companies that appeal to women are detected as winners earlier by female fund managers. I guess you could also detect and make better bets on sports that are more liked by ladies.
Exactly, I am pretty sure that nobody is going to care about it unless you yourself make a big deal out of it. To me, as long as you know what you are taking about and you don't look like a piece of shit towards other people and you respect others, I don't think that there will be any problem, the only time that someone will have a problem with a woman is if they are a piece of shit and misogynistic.

Just being curious here... who is the front runner for the 2022 elections, if it is not too early to ask that? I have seen some opinion polls that show Sara Duterte (daughter of the current president Rodrigo Duterte in the lead). There are rumors that Sara will run for the post of president, with Rodrigo as the VP. BTW, the current president seems to be extremely popular, according to the media. Check this:

https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/why-dutertes-approval-rating-stands-at-91
I hope that she won't run because I am pretty sure that more human rights violation are going to be committed to continue his father's act of war against drugs that didn't bore any good result. Also, the problem with the statistics in the country is they are in allegiance with the current regime so you won't really get the big picture, extra judicial killings, incompetent government and no balls to move against China in territory reclamation
2073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: April 26, 2021, 10:37:39 AM
Complexity Gaming vs GameAgents   Shocked very hard match for the Agents they will lose.
Complexity has a more synergized team in my opinion so I would back your claim that CG is going against this team, maybe a comeback or some clutch plays will happen but I will still go for CG even if they lose, that means there is a surprise.

Looks like you missed Boxing and NFL? also Soccer in which the famous and the most bets gambling sports in the world?

Not mentioning Golf that is also one of those highest betting Games.
Not really, it's not like you can like all the sports there is. I find MMA much better than Boxing because you can use almost everything that your body has to win. NFL is just glorified and wimpy kids Rugby with all that armor. Golf for me is just standing and swinging, much like baseball but the ball is not flying at you.
2075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dubai's Government and Gambling on: April 26, 2021, 09:14:49 AM

While i agreed on your point of lottery are not differ from other countries yet they have different rules and system on how to distribute the funds collected so he might be right about how Dubai runs theirs.
I still stand by my point since I know that every government has an ulterior motive when they are doing something, the moment you think your friends with the government is the moment that they are going to throw you under the bus and there historical evidence to back it up.

Yeah esports got me considering profits compared to any other sports in my more than five years of gambling. I do not have any specific reasons why esports got me good profits whereas normal sports weren't. Because I am watching and I am interested on both of these sports events at the same level still predicting in esports is somehow feasible for me for some hidden reasons.

I guess I have bet on more than 8 different sports as I am following all of them. Probably, having interest on more sports must be the reason why I am not profitable in real sport events.
You have to at least have some experience playing the eSports that you are voting so you can decide which team is going to have a higher chance of winning. It is more better because there are clear favorite teams so you know where to put your money and it is really difficult to root for a team you know isn't going to win.
2077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any new casinos with token "mining" i should check out? on: April 26, 2021, 07:54:37 AM
I am afraid all the big reputable ones at this moment doesn't offer something like this. However Sportsbet offers tiers in which by playing you earn points and by these points you earn free spins or free bets which resembles to what you are asking.
Not really a good deal because to get that points, my guess is you have to play a certain amount of time before you can do it. Better to have some rewards after all than nothing, I am pretty curious with what OP is looking for although I haven't played online for a long time.
2078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dubai's Government and Gambling on: April 26, 2021, 06:55:06 AM

I don't agree with the last part of your post. As far as I know, the Dubai lottery is one of the most user-friendly games in the world, with the government getting hardly any benefit out of it. There are no taxes on the sales of lottery tickets, or on the winnings. Also, most of the amount collected from the sales is distributed as rewards. Now comes another question. How come lottery is permissible in Islam, when other forms of gambling are not so?
I don't think that lottery is going to be any different in any country, I am pretty sure that it is the same as any country. That's what I am confused too, how is it permissible to have a form of gambling when your religion prohibits gambling, another case is the state owned lottery of CCP when gambling is illegal in mainland.
2079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best Sport to bet on ? on: April 26, 2021, 05:36:26 AM
If you are a gambler, the best betting sport is one where the pause between competitions is long enough so that you have time to calm down and not try to bet in the heat of emotion. Bookmakers have the opposite interest, so they create virtual competitions that take place around the clock.
So maybe eSports is a good recommendation since there is a break in-between matches, I would say probably besides eSports,I think basketball or football could be a good sports to bet on, pretty straightforward and no fuzz.
2080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Nakatani June 26 on: April 26, 2021, 04:40:28 AM
This is indeed a dangerous fight for Loma, I watch one of his training clips and he's also training hard either preparing himself for the fight but it hard to choose who'll be the winning of the upcoming fight since they have both fights with Teofimo Lopez and lost to him.
Having said that, I think this fight is Loma's own preparation for the Teofimo rematch.
Lomachenko will have a hard since Nakatani has a reach and height advantage that is considerably high against Lomachenko's height and reach, not to mention that if we remove Lopez's defeat for both, Nakatani is undefeated, I would probably favor Nakatani on this one.
