Let me make a little briefing on the coin issues. Two of them are known to me: one is blockchain sync from scratch and the other is wallet corruption. The former can be mitigated by downloading a blockchain snapshot: I will do this periodically and I've seen other nice people doing the same. The latter I could never reproduce: it must be something related to the environment the wallet runs into, or is compiled with. For this reason, I'd like to collect some information on the operating system (and library versions, when different from the default) of both the people who are experiencing the corruption issue and those who aren't.
Here is my contribution:
Corruption issue: never experienced during months of use. OS: ubuntu 16:04 Libraries: standard provided by the distro.
Any other report? Come on!

Trying to sync from the fresh blockchain but I have 0-5 nodes randomly connecting and disconnecting with a bunch of Cannot fastforward chain because of missing data: and Block download stalled by x.x.x.x:8253; disconnecting. in debug.log.
And even with 5 active nodes I only get like 1 block in every 5 seconds and half the time all nodes are disconnected.
Wallet v0.1.1.0-g3fb0591-beta.
Did it finally sync? Did you try stopping and restarting the wallet?

let them come, so I can test my miner LoL!

and i was right about pascal coin...that would reach high for being diferent from ohers... if only i didnt sold my early 5000pasc for a piece of sh****.... we never know the day that is yet to come....lol by the way please can someone compile a Linux Miner!!!??? hi hate win for mining....theres nothing better than linux, even the hassh is higher.... please Linux Miner if you want a solo miner, try this: https://github.com/pallas1/Pascalcoin-CUDAjust type "make" to compile. no windows? I don't use windows, sorry. But you can compile it both on linux and windows as the visual studio project files are included.

Really it's Pascal because of the programming language? I though it was because of Blaise Pascal:
"In 1642, while still a teenager, he started some pioneering work on calculating machines. After three years of effort and 50 prototypes,[3] he built 20 finished machines (called Pascal's calculators and later Pascalines) over the following 10 years,[4] establishing him as one of the first two inventors of the mechanical calculator."

Hi Pallas,
could you please include the proxy Jar to have the full package. I assume its not working against a pool or like the pascalopencl miner where u enter an ip and port :-D
No pool, sorry. And as I've said before, I can't test block generation (because my farm is too small), so it could be broken.

|
|
I don't have such card. But the 1070 is doing almost 900 Mh/s with just 100 W As I've said before, I can't test block generation (because my farm is too small), so it could be broken.

The standard miner doesn't feed all the gpus with the same work. Just look at the found nonces: they are not the same. BTW my miner is faster, I will publish it as soon as possible.
|
|
|
Hardware error = CPU verification failed, the nonce is discarded.

Anyone want to venture a guess why only 1 of my 3 cards work in solo or pool mining? the 2 that don't work show massive HW errors while the third just works normally?
this is my bat sgminer.exe --kernel hmq1725 -I 18 -o stratum+tcp://esppool.sytes.net:3334 -u x -p x
I've tried -d 0-2 with no joy the one that works is an old 7700 the 480 and 390 don't work but bin files for all are created and -n shows all three cards, using the gpu prog 1 amd on OP any thoughts appreciated!!!
hi for the 390 --gpu-platform 1 at the 480 -d 0 or -d 1 <- Since I unfortunately no 480 have only a guess download this program https://github.com/CryptoCoderz/sgminer_HMQ1725/blob/2f959266a1bbcadf948a1f7a9da0e75a8e32399e/release/sgminer_build_HMQ1725.zipi have geforce 970 GTX file name 1.bat sgminer.exe --kernel hmq1725 -I 18 -o stratum+tcp://esppool.sytes.net:3334 -u Alepo.user4 -p 1 no work (( sgminer.exe --kernel hmq1725 -I 16 -o stratum+tcp://esppool.sytes.net:3334 -u Alepo.user4 -p x no work(( what am I doing wrong? sgminer for AMD card only you have nvida nvida is ccminer No idea if there is a ccminer for espers Sgminer is opencl so should work on nvidia as well. It is reported working even though far from optimised. Different story is wolf0 sgminer which contains amd specific instructions.

i asked btc38 about it . response is pasted here . service staff 可儿: IM sorry, XCN because of server failure, we closed T and deposit, there need to wait for ah repair time, recovery will open T and deposit, please wait doesnt make absolute sense to me.. but sounds like they are positive and working on fixing it .... It happened to them in the past and they fixed it, unlike poloniex ;-)

Sorry guys but this thread is too big for me to follow. I modified the pascal cuda miner and optimized it, now it's doing 900 Mh/s on a 1070 consuming just 100W. Is it good? Worth working on it, now that there are pools?
Yes please can you do it for the pool there is no pool for nvidia yet, and we can't mine solo anymore hashnet is too big, this just turned into amdcoin instead of pascal and this is ironic The miner is too basic to be adapted to pools. does the miner sends okay the shares? (in solo mining) or still same error as other versions? can we have a copy Never seen that error. But I have not enough power to mine a block as a final test.
|
|
|
the initial miner of volksheit didnt split the shares across the gpu. ever gpu got same units and the proxy just avoid duplicated to prevent ban. this is what i understood and see fromdebug logs of the miner.he also mention like that.
Yes it is broken in many ways: nonce ranges, kernel launch parameters, etc. I may have fixed all that but I have not enough power to mine a block and, thus, test it fully.

That'd be great if it consistently gets that. The other miners also have extreme issues with CPU utilization. Only worth it if you get it working with pools. You can't solo mine anymore. the hashrate is consistent and cpu usage is much lower. the 970 does 500 Mh/s @100W. the miner can't be easily adapted to pools, it's too basic.

1. https://pasc.nanopool.org/ (works only with AMD GPUs for now) 2. pasc.suprnova.cc (not working yet) Will you share the miner with others? P.S.: 900 Mh/s on 1070 is good in my opinion. With other miners on my 1060 G1 Gaming I get 500-530Mh/s. 900 with 100W, I guess I can easily go well over 1000 with higher power consumption. But it only works for solo mining. And it compiles on Linux.
