I read that there are 2^160 possible addresses. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=24268.0Suppose that a group (with bad intentions) start to create several addresses using bots, what happens if they exhaust all the possible addresses? It will take more time than the sun will live Call me when all the possible addresses are exhausted

He bought btc at a low price, a clever move...

Money moving from weak hands to strong hands, welcome to the free market. This is a good thing.
But megaupload is back as MEGA
Problems in your plan: 1)no one has an asic so far 2)once they will receive them, expect difficulty to skyrocket. 309BTC per month? Yeah sure more like 10 after asic hits the market.

I hope it is a troll account but i doubt we are so lucky.
Please note that mining is not a get rich quick scheme. And you are spending moar money on electricity than what you gain with the "mining, 6mhash? it's nothing

I've made inquires to my local bank but so far they refuse to deal with BTC.
And why do you need your bank to deal with BTC? If you want to buy or sell bitcoins just use an exchange
If you can make a bitcoin transaction then you have a client and it's connected to internet. Thus it is connected to other bitcoin nodes, thus it have access to all unconfirmed transactions. If someone try a double spend while buying a burger, it's automatically detected, it's trivial.

In his theory, no one would use the old client but they would use the new client since it's already installed
True, however the client in question could perform both. Do you mean that this client would use the computers to mine for microsoft so that they could do a 51% attack? This is stupid, 1)because with asic mining with a computer will be useless 2)because no one will use it if it bring your gpu fan at 100% 3)because there are much much much easier ways to do a 51% attack than to make a client wich act more like a virus and so totally ruining their reputation.

All these video and guides are from 2011, and yes they should be fixed. Today they are just misleading. Mining with your computer today don't even repay the electricity you use.
Just like Internet Explorer is the dominant browser today?

You want to become rich with mining? Better inform yourself, you don't just mine with your computer and become rich lol
Maybe now finally people will notice that bitcoin is not about mining. I'm tired of people that arrive on the forum hoping to become rich by mining with their computer. That is ridicolous. This said, mining with ASIC is much easier than with a computer. You just buy a Jalapeno, few hundreds $ and done, you mine. No need to mess with drivers, clocks, cooling etcetc. Oh and as i said, 51% attack cost like 10 millions $, now or with asic it's the same. And it's not a lot of money. Or do still someone here believe that a million $ is a lot? Lol i know my idea is very hard to be accepted Your idea boils down to "someone rich can buy tons of asic" wich is nothing new. Now someone rich can buy tons of gpu

What a fail article, tons of FUD and fail

Adam,
Is your car a manual or automatic? And yes, batteries don't do well in the winter time.
automatic Pop starting would have been a temporary fix anyway. Although it might have been useful to get to the auto parts store! damn that's right eh... next time I'll buy a manual, more control! Manuals are for single guys with sports cars. You better stick with the auto family man. The kind of control you need is an extra hand to block projectiles flung from the back seat! At least wait until the kids are out of the house and you are in a mid life crisis to buy the manual. Maybe your bitcoins will allow you to buy something really nice by then! Lol americans and their automatics If you come in europe it's a tragedy then, every car here is manual And no, i am not joking.
A 51% attack is happily doable with like 10 millions $ , cpu, or gpu, or fpga, or asic, or alien technology.
And no, asic will not kill btc, lol. Stop spreading this fud, stop this idiocy.

It is no more 18$
