2101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DO NOT TRUST TO TETHER on: July 05, 2020, 07:33:20 PM
Tether is a good coin for invest ! I don't know how much you know about Tether. Because the way you say it means you don't know much about tether. Tether is a stablecoin, the price of this coin is always $1 usd. So you will not make any profit by investing in these coins. However, you can buy / sell bitcoin using tether, you can trade bitcoin using tether.
Your statement is full of contradictions. How can you invest in a stablecoin? If you are investing in USDT, then what prevents you from making a direct investment in US Dollar? After all USDT is risky, because someone else is storing the money for you. When Bitcoin was invented by Satoshi Nakamoto, one of the primary objectives was to allow the storage of money without the help from any intermediaries (such as banks and other financial institutions).

You do not understand my opinion. So I'm editing it. He said tether is a good coin to invest in. He probably doesn’t know much about tether and doesn’t understand, so I tried to explain to him about tether. Tether is a risky asset in case of long hold. Because their entire activities are in the dark, they have no public data that everyone can trust.

You changed it from Tether is a good coin to invest into Tether is not a good coin to invest and you dare to say that he did not understand you? Are you for real?

It was you who did a 180 turn from advising to buy that shitcoin into advising not to.
2102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your opinion about HEX? on: July 05, 2020, 07:25:59 PM
As far as I know, HEX is a kind of Ponzi model, so it has no business model that can profit, other than attracting new sources of money through new investors. With such a model, I think it is difficult to exist in the current market.

I've been saying it since I saw that coin. It has 0 utility and is advertised by that scammer who changed his name to Heart.

Who the hell changes name, promotes himself as Bitcoin advocate on youtube just to later start pushing his own coin that does nothing but convert your ETH into worthless tokens? Only a very shady individual.
2103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Serious question about Bitcoin. Is it a reliable and stable investment? on: July 04, 2020, 10:25:35 PM
It's an old thread guys. If he was considering an investment a year ago he either did it or not. There's no point in giving him advice now.

I think that it's a good investment but any newbie can see that it isn't stable. Wink
2104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Potential Valorant Esports betting sites on: July 04, 2020, 10:17:31 PM
I didn't know this, can you spill some of it? I wanna know the teams  Cheesy
Also became curious though, recently, few of colleagues started to play this game as an alternative for CS GO. While being one of the hottest game in todays' news, they are continuously making a discussion which players of CS GO are migrating to Valorant. They sent a link containing a list of pro players specifically in CS GO.

[1] https://www.sportskeeda.com/esports/valorant-still-cs-go-pros-move-onto-hot-new-shooter-riot

I've also tried it out and it's very different. Like they were trying to take some features from overwatch and add it to a standard CS game.

The levels seem more tight and a little bit more boring than those from CS, there also seems to be more hackers. It will probably gather its fair share of fans.
2105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH better than BTC for payment? on: July 04, 2020, 10:05:29 PM
for now it might be right because the fee to use btc is more expensive than using eth, for large transactions it might not matter but for small transactions like 10-50 $ it will feel heavy per transaction.

Sure, it looks better on paper, but what is the acceptance of ETH? Much lower than BTC.

When it comes to paying a BTC holder who wants to pay for something will have the following problem:
See something valued in BTC, exchange that value to ETH, send ETH to the seller, pay ETH fee.

Will it really be that much cheaper and faster than paying with BTC? Even if it will be the additional time needed for conversion and conversion fees will make it even.
2106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DO NOT TRUST TO TETHER on: July 04, 2020, 09:54:11 PM
Tether getting bigger every day but it doesnt mean you can trust them.
Im not gonna say tether developers are scammer but tether could be fall very hard by Central bank mafia, Money Landing is a good Excuse for Central Bank to freeze tether money account.

And I think they might be scammers. There's a lot of suspicious activity in Tether starting from how they used to hide the fact that they aren't 100% covered. If they aren't it means they are vulnerable just like banks.

They aren't mirroring USD but acting like a bank and a currency issuer combined.

If any government agency goes after them their collapse is going to be brutal.
2107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend passed away and he have Bitcoin in his wallet on: July 04, 2020, 09:50:10 PM
If they don't know what Bitcoin is it's better if they don't attempt to do anything with their son's holdings. It's easy to delete something or damage the hardware.

Tell them there might be money on his computer or some passwords written somewhere and ask if they have someone in the family who knows about cryptocurrencies.
2108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable coins for bounty hunters on: July 04, 2020, 09:38:52 PM
As much as this sounds exciting, it's a mission impossible.
What's the profit for the team? As much as we bounty hunters demand some more value let's not forget the real essence which is success of the project.
Most projects cannot afford this.

This is not an argument.

If they can't afford it why are they trying to advertise for free?

In business if you can't afford something you don't. What would you say if your employer decided that he can't afford you so now you're going to work for free?
2109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shitcoins unite! on: July 03, 2020, 11:05:18 PM
You have to remember that some coins are shitcoins for purpose.

There are teams who understand how crypto ecosystem works but they just want some money out of it. They will never unite unless it's uniting for a bigger and better paying scam.

OP also mentioned cutting supply. Some shitcoins  like BTK did it and still failed.
2110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable coins for bounty hunters on: July 03, 2020, 10:51:23 PM
If you want them to do it don't ask them but demand it.

It's cheaper and less risky for them to pay you in a shitcoin that wasn't released yet and can fail next month. Paying in a stablecoin would make them buy the coin and really spend some fiat on it.

They prefer you work for free.
2111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALTCOIN to the MOON on: July 03, 2020, 10:38:19 PM
Altcoins will go to the moon when Bitcoin does the same first.

There are some projects that can pump alone usually because of big hype just like VeChain is doing now but the majority will wait for Bitcoin to lead the way.
2112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Emotion management is one of the key to successful trading. on: July 03, 2020, 10:20:26 PM
Emotions make us human, you can't turn them on but you can come pretty damn close in trading if you know what to do.

The key is to not worry about money.

If you were playing with 10 USD when you have 10 thousand in the bank, would you be scared? Make sure you're playing with money you got as profit, money you're ready to lose and you will be less emotional about it.
2113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safest trading strategy on: July 03, 2020, 10:12:45 PM
If you have some money and you are looking into buying bitcoin, it's better to consider buying Bitcoin with half of what you can afford to lose and use the other half to buy stable coin.

I disagree.

If you want to buy Bitcoin just buy it. If you want to buy it with half of your money then do it, but don't buy some stablecoin with the rest. It's a pointless trade. Just keep the rest in fiat.

Stablecoins arte meant to be less volatile than coins but they are still more volatile than fiat money and can go bankrupt and disappear. It's just stupid to buy stablecoins and hold them.
2114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Cash A Better Crypto To Invest? on: July 03, 2020, 10:06:34 PM
Most of you repeat the same thing that it's a good coin and worth investing in.

Please tell me what is good about any clone of Bitcoin? You can choose any of them, BCH, BSV, BTG , they all are useless.

You can pay with them but their adoption and recognition are much lower than Bitcoin's so what's the point of useing them? They don't offer any interesting privacy features and are more volatile.
the increase is sometimes very high makes people feel that this is a good investment. Well, I even thought about that. to be honest, I feel that because this coin has a very high level of volatility, and is quite large, many people use it. as far as I am concerned, several times the price of this coin has risen at the same time as bitcoin, and many people are using the moment to make a profit.

Many people use it because many people got it for free and others were confuserd by Ver and bought it thinking they're buying Bitcoin.

BCH was really volatile twice and got huge gains. The first time when Bitcoin's fees skyrocketed but at that time it was spammed by small transactions to make it happen. Whether it was someone from BCH or some other jokers they made BCH go to the moon for a while. The second time it happened before BSV fork.

I don't see any real value in this coin.
2115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you wish you could do the most with your Bitcoin? on: July 02, 2020, 11:18:58 PM
Buying property directly with it.

That's the biggest purchase most people will ever make and the idea of having to dick with exchanges and banks adds a whole lot of time and nerves. Perhaps it will be commonly accepted in a few years but right now most sellers will still think you're a mad assassin.

For me it's paying on the go. Being able to buy meal at a restaurant, fuel for the car, paying bills and property tax.

It would also be good if I could buy goods that aren't luxury. Most retailers willing to accept Bitcoin are places like car dealerships. I don't want to buy a car there. A new car is one of the worst ways you can spend your money but for now there's not much choice that's why I hold and hope for the best.
2116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: For airdroppers who can hardly relate on: July 02, 2020, 11:01:28 PM
This is how most airdrops look, OP did a good job. It reads like a joke but for many people it's the hell they have to go through before they finally learn .

I can add that the KYC you provide will be used to register scam accounts at other sites and receive some bonuses for completing KYC there. You're literally making money for them by advertising their shitcoin and then again by completing KYC.
2117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the wallet is hacked, what should I do? on: July 02, 2020, 10:30:46 PM
I have some suggestions for you.

Divide your coins into 2 parts: the part for spending and the part for holding

The part for spending can be held on a mobile wallet always near you and always ready to be used. Remember to have a backup seed in case you lose the phone.

The part for holding should always be offline. You don't use the computer it's held on or you buy a hardware wallet for it.
2118  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to lose your Bitcoins with CTRL-C CTRL-V on: July 02, 2020, 10:22:09 PM
Isn't it enough to check just the fist 4-5 and last 4-5 characters?
It's probably enough, but I prefer a higher degree of certainty than just "probably".

I had that malware on my laptop once and the first three checked out.

Some sites allow you to only see first part of the address before you copy it. The rest is covered by the "copy" button. Coinbase does it like that as well as many mobile wallets.

I've noticed that it that first 3 and last 3 never match. The malware or at least the one that I had focuses on matching the first 2 or 3 characters and that's it.
It's unable to match both first and last characters so it tries to math as many first characters as it can hoping the victim will not notice.
2119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin truly a safe-haven asset? on: July 02, 2020, 10:11:50 PM
For me it is because I value my privacy and the ability to take money anywhere I go. Bitcoin allows me to do it.

I don't excpect it to work as a hedge to world finances and hold value when everything else crashes. It will never work this way.
2120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A lot of Americans still don't know what Bitcoin is on: July 02, 2020, 12:05:58 AM
Bitcoin has only been around for the past 10 years and is really famous since 2017 so very few people can know about bitcoin. In addition, governments don't like bitcoin and cryptocurrencies so they restrict the media coverage of bitcoin.
But in the future bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market will have tremendous growth and I believe that cryptocurrencies will be a part of world finance.

All the lies and misconceptions had something to do with this for sure.

If people weren't told on each step that it's used by scammers hackers and other criminals they would want to know more.

If you're looking for someone to blame for this situation blame the media.
