great. will surely order one once avaiilable. is it official that they will offer a custom design?
This is a lovely design, very nice. Understated and classy ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) And yes, they have approved a custom design idea with the caveat they have final say of course...production reasons etc. So hopefully Rodolfo gives this the all clear and we can do a group buy for them ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) And as they will have the BlackCoin QR code on the back (I believe but that is subject to confirmation) using and paying someone with a card in BlackCoin gets even easier! LOL, I was going to reply to Visique's angry post (OK not really 'angry' per se - just 'cautionary')... and say something about how when I read it in a British accent it seemed less harsh, yet more sophisticated... and then it was already gone. ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Opportunity missed. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) It was a little terse ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Main point being stay on topic. No need to bash either other coins or their teams here, its for BC talk not trash talk about other coins etc etc. As for the sophisticated accent, one does try ones best to use the best quality English one can muster old boy. Anyhoo! Time for BlackHalo! Tally HO!

TOR Anonimity
Didn't you know that BC wallet can use TOR since day 0? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) +1 People need to realise BlackCoin does not need to chase features. We innovate them or already have them. One could say RTFM to many that request these things. BlackCoin technology is quite literally the backbone of many coins these days, we are leaders and innovators with strengths and ideas that are growing daily. We also deliver in a manner that's stable and robust. NO half measures. Now that may cost us some time occasionally but in the long run we do deliver solid wares. Always bet on Black! yes! ..and this brings me to another idea : how about making an actual BlackCoin manual : an idiot-proof user's guide. Would include, examples of features and examples etc. we have the BlackCoin directory wich is real good. but how about a user's guide? do you guys think it would be something that would benefit people and maybe even attract new users? I think most def would be a good choice with blackhalo, the new soon to be released wallet, nighttrader etc.. this would make adoption easier and we should lead the way in helping people realize the potential of digital currencies and not just wait for big bro BTC to do all the work. A good idea and something Im doing with COinkite devices. Actually having them in the hands of complete noobs has made me relise I have to start right at the beginning with some people, so I'm making manuals and video tutorials for all class of user; noob, competent and expert. So yes, ANY training or helper stuff is invaluable. I know that maarx has been working with people to get some of this sorted, maybe chase it up with him?

Anything that can be done to generate a "Developers Fund" that seeks to continue work for the welfare of BlackCoin will always get support from the Foundation.
We are happy to explore all ideas that would assist in this objective. Securing the future of BlackCoin is and always will be a priority.

as I look at our Developers collaborative space I see over 30 people working....
there seems to be this train of thought amongst many that there is no dev team. This is incorrect. We have many talented and skilled people working diligently away on things that are either in early stage or heading to alpha/beta.
We believe that many investors are happy with their investment and its current progress. In fact some of these invsetors are doing exactly as has been suggested, getting out their wallets and supporting things with cold hard cash. Thats what investment means, paying to develop products and services to improve the service offering and create a wider user base.
All in all things are nicely on track.

about adoption :
A BlackCoin debit card would be über cool. digital currency technology is great, all the apps and wallets etc.. but most people still just like to swipe their cards and pay as they go. we need a service like that.
Start a service ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) yes!! that's the spirit! unfortunately i am not that dude. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) my powers reside elsewhere. Well, if you have a good idea, and a vision.. and the motivation to work it out and get it done, you can always start a kickstarter within the community. Digital currencies are going to be mass adopted. I'm sure of it. Why not help that push in the name of BlackCoin? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) BlackCoin is, in my opinion a far better option than Bitcoin. i'd like to see this come alive so much. we all know blackcoin is a better option than bitcoin. i remember reading somewhere about a service like that for bitcoin actually, some card being developed that could be used in most places just like visa or mastercard. didn't you guys btw have some project going on with a BC credit card type digital all-cards in one thingie? Not that I know of.. We do have Coinkite.. I sent out an email for Xapo as they have a debit card project for Bitcoin already : https://xapo.com/in/campaign/debit/Let's see if they are interested. Might be far fetched though. I'll keep you in the loop. I've already contacted Xapo. They're not interested at this time as they are concentrating on making their BTC offering bulletproof. Once this is done they may consider Alts but it's not on their list of things to do this year that I know. But, they were pleasant enough in their reply to me and should the opportunity resurface we will be right there ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I will add though, if a lot of people do contact them we may be able to encourage them to think of us first when they do go ahead with Alts on the platform they offer.

SHAMELESS PLUG!!!! On another note: my partner is a mosaic artist, and awhile back I asked her to make me a BlackCoin coaster. Appreciate the well considered response vizique, and am glad to know that the Foundation has given thought to the matter. I agree that the marketing plays a big part in the perception - there is a lot of leeway to define the brand. Last line of the WSJ post: "They might want to consider changing that name, too."Interesting point. Does the name itself work against this coin? I must admit, that concept has been in the back of my mind the whole time I've observed and traded BC. As shallow as it is, the name is always going to form the initial, visceral first impression. I think a proportion of people will always shy away from that. (Perhaps) It isn't a mainstream-friendly name in the same league as Bitcoin and Litecoin. It carries inevitable connotations of separatism as it's very identity, and perhaps that separatism will always passively work against the desired end-game of universal adoption. A fair point and well made and certainly something we have discussed at length for some time. IF, and thats a BIG IF right now, there were to be any change it would only be to drop the word coin. Black has been used for the delivery of understatement, class and exclusivity for a long time. Dark and mysterious etc etc. Theres a lot of positive you can do with Black. We have been immensely fortunate that the particular group of which you speak is not present and never has been present within the ranks of BlackCoin or any other coin what from I've seen with one possible exception of, right at the beginning of Whitecoin there was some noise being made about race and certain anti groups. Fortunately these got squashed very quickly. This IMO is an excellent indicator of the general intellect of the many that reside in crypto. It IS a generalisation of course as there will always be one or two people that will defy that convention. C'est La Vie. Ultimately its a marketing game. Get it right and theres no issue. Get it wrong and all hell would break loose. Fortunately for BlackCoin we have surpassed all that negativity and are heading into the chosen domain of high value, understated class. Being able to buy an Airplane with BlackCoin does help in that regard ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
