2123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Outlawed: Get Away from Bitcoin or Be Imprisoned! on: August 14, 2017, 05:52:26 PM
Okay, I know that the headline of this post seems to be too much but I am sure it has generated some eyeballs. Now, this is just another hypothetical situation: What if your government will decide one day that the use of and holding Bitcoin is illegal and anybody found to be contradicting this position can be thrown to jail with at least 5 years as the sentence without the possibility of using any internet-connected gadget?

I am assuming that the government would be using the latest technology and techniques  for surveillance and detection against people who are fond of Bitcoin.

Would you still be involved with Bitcoin or just be a sheep and follow along so you can't be a victim of the government overreach?
Assuming the government of my country start up with such….wait…have you heard of underground? Good. Everybody will just go underground, lol. Oh…you even added they will have a tech to track my activities. Okay, I will simply change my VPN address and they will hardly find out. Lol.

And why would you do so if you weren't able to sell them later on? Bitcoin isn't essential for life. You won't gonna die if Bitcoin gets banned. I don't find any fun using them when government of your country doesn't endorse so.
It would be better we find some other viable alternative to be in accordance with government rules than supporting Bitcoin.
2124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: why altcoins are crashing again ? on: August 14, 2017, 04:50:51 PM
This is good for the market though. Its going to hopefully destroy some of the altcoins that were weak and leave less altcoins on the market.
Darwinism is great for altcoins.

I guess people are all up for Bitcoin currently so they have placed altcoins on backfoot. But this doesn't mean end of altcoins.
Bitcoin is currently under boom period due to successful overcome from split but this doesn't mean it will sail the same in future. Bitcoin may come under depression again and people may switch over to alts once again.

PS: Bitcoin's dominance in crypto market in just above 50% which is less than what it had in March. So altcoins are not yet dead.

2126  Economy / Economics / Re: What happens when us and millionaires get to the top? Normal food prices go sky on: August 14, 2017, 04:08:39 PM
So if rich people that we try to reach the same money as them put their money in now to get to 1 mill per btc.  that's a lot of people that are really rich and us too but then will that affect food prices.

I don't believe so. People using BTC at present are very limited. So when more people start buying BTC, prices will rise gradually. This means person who buy year later may buy at higher than $4000 as one doing today. So richs from Bitcoin even if it touch 1M will be limited to those who bought in past and not future.
So it will not going to impact economy large enough that food prices rise.

2128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What does everybody here think about WAVE coin? on: August 13, 2017, 06:18:30 PM
I've noticed it's on the sudden decline over the past few days!!  I'm wondering wether or not to top up on more WAVES coinage for my portfolio!!  What's everybody else thinking about it!!?

The minor periodic upsurge and correction is the feature of all cryptocoins. That shouldn't make you worry about future of coin. Currently investors are trying to concentrate solely on Bitcoin and giving others a rest. That is the reason all major coins including WAVES, ETH, etc are on fall while Bitcoin is leading like one-man army.
WAVES is still in good position as compared to pre-fork market. The DEX platform of WAVES is unique achievement in crypto world due to its speed and security which guarantee bright future to both coin and platform.
As the number of coins on WAVES platform are increasing, we can see its price to raise notably. It would be wrong if you eliminate it from your portfolio. Rather it's a good time to add more.
2129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction FEES 0.00133153 BTC !!! on: August 13, 2017, 04:36:39 PM
Just now make a withdraw from Bitgrail and it take 0.00133153 BTC ($5.49 ) as a fee !! (https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/tx/cdf1dc891dfc0bd827b3b4f442ab5095e5073486bce9711fde859da7fccf7ecb) Oh my God! I think it's too many fees for a transation. How to overcome this high fee? Do you follow any special tips to overcome high Bitcoin fee?
Badly i need to know any good tips about it. Someone help me please.
Best regards
Mkmanik

In one line, 'Stop using any such exchange.'
When you don't have liberty to choose fees (which isn't in all the exchanges), Bitcoin network has no role to play. Thus, there is no mistake from Bitcoin iself. Fees are set arbitrary by exchanges. So there is hardly anyway to eliminate high fees if you decided to use that very exchange.
If you care moving to other wallets and exchanges, you can significantly decrease fees. Use wallets like Electrum which give you liberty to choose fees and choose fees in accordance to this site-

2130  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think cryptocurrencies have the potential to overtake regular currencies? on: August 13, 2017, 04:09:40 PM
Would banks and governments actively work and implement countermeasures to undermine this process? Are the underestimating the potential of cryptocurrencies by investing in some of them?
Do you think there is a possibility of cryptocurrencies being banned in the future for the reason of being a threat to "normal" currencies?

Banking and Financial Institutions come under the category of 'service' which means serving the customers. The sole motive of such institutions is to work in accordance to people's needs. So rather than being dependent on banks or government to implement cryptocurrencies, we should start using them at personal level. When people use cryptocurrencies among them and start demanding them, banks would left with no alternative than refreshing the fiat with cryptos.

2132  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and security on: August 12, 2017, 03:42:21 PM
Hi all,

In order to protect you against hacker/virus, do you use a vitual marchine ? A new computer (linux ?) ? or your "daily" computer ?
In general, what precautions do you take ?

Many thanks Wink

Most of the trading take place on internet so OS has very meagre role to play. Daily computer can be handy too for trading all you need to ensure is security of your accounts and credentials. Never ever fall for phising page, double check domains before entering logins (try to bookmark sites rather than following links from some webpage).
Moreover, use trusted exchanges if you doing altcoin trading and never leave coins in exchange. Always export them to self-hosted wallets after buying.
2133  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: how to send 1000 satoshi payment? on: August 12, 2017, 03:12:14 PM
What's the easiest way to send small 1000 satoshi payment?
Transfer of such amount on Bitcoin network is not viable option. Better use internal networks of various web wallets or micropayment sites.
For example incase of web wallets, email to email transfer on Coinbase is free of cost and instant. Alternatively if you wanna maintain anonymity, use micropayment services like FaucetBox which allows free of cost internal BTC transfers between addresses.
2134  Economy / Speculation / Re: So where exactly are we in the bubble? on: August 12, 2017, 01:52:48 PM
I know y'all have seen this diagram before, and with BTC just crossing $3,800 as I type, where do you think we are in the bubble?
Aw man so cuz I'm a noob it won't post the image... Oh well. Its basically that "main stages of a bubble" chart. Which crypto most definitely is in. But are we just beginning the true ascent, or have we reached the peak? Thoughts?

Bubble is created when commodity is overvalued than its actual value. But how could you limit the sky of so-called Bitcoin? You are not the first to ask about bubble phase, this discussion has been here on forum from long when it was $500 or $1k or $2k but see where we are today. What happened to those claiming Bitcoin prices to be bubble in past!
There is still much to go for Bitcoin, whole of its rally depends upon public adoption which is still very-very low. As it will grow its feathers, price will boom and boom.
There is hardly any bubble at the moment.

2138  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the world really needs virtual currencies on: August 11, 2017, 02:36:24 PM
First of all I would like to make remark on 2007 World Crisis, when whole world was suffering from huge financial illness, Asian countries especially India were almost untouched from it. So we can say America is no longer the only leader of global economy.
Now coming to Bitcoin, no doubt if countries start recognising the importance of Bitcoin and maintain their reserves in it, they would never see the crisis phase again. It will help countries to eliminate internal recession where reserves value may enhance without any increase in productivity.

You are comparing America with India. Now India is not in the list of developing country also. I hope they will become like Somalia soon because of their government policies.
Virtual payment option is not only in digital currencies even in banking they are also having online payment option to earn the fiats.

Are you serious! You have entirely wrong conceptions about India. India is fastest growing economy in the world. It ranks in top 10 in both measures of GDP, I don't understand how could to compare it to Somalia.
I know digital system works in fiat too but that's not on what I am bidding. I am suggesting the inclusion of cryptocurrencies in government treasury so that incase of global recession, countries can overlap the depression.
2139  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you inested in ICO's yet? on: August 11, 2017, 02:20:53 PM
Yeah! I am regular investor in ICO's. They are good source of profit if you choose right projects. In last one year, I have notice one thing in ICO that you can't expect immediate profits. Most projects shown green signals in 2-3 months. So I made strategy to sell my ICO coins after 2-3 months.
If you got any query, you can ask.

PS: This topic doesn't belong to this section, it should be in Altcoin Discussion, so you can move there.
2140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: ETHLend - Decentralized Lending - The Big Bounty Program on: August 11, 2017, 01:43:31 PM
Isn't signature and twitter rates highly disbalanced?
Being Legendary I could only earn 2.5k LEND per week using signature campaign but on other note I could easily get 2.5k just retweeting one tweet. You think its justified  Huh
