And if you have undisclosed optimized miners, you just need a couple cards. I once used to mine 3 algos with a single rig.
I think whirlpool could need some opensource love.. Pallas, thanks for the updates on the joincoin github. I know, I should opensource my whirlpool sgminer, but I'd need to integrate it into a recent fork and fix it for polaris, but I don't have the time nor the cards to test it. Ccminer can be optimised a bit but it'll run much faster on amd anyways.

Mm... guess back when I mined this I had a smaller operation and as such you could dominate a couple of the algos and get relatively decent profits with micromanagement. Profit is about the same, emission rate is still next to nothing though... which is about $20 per algo. $20 per rig is a pretty good deal, but you would have to get all of that and you can't with competition... It definitely isn't a coin for med or larger size miners.
$20 is pretty good if you only need 5 cards to get it. $4 per card per day. :-) And if you have undisclosed optimized miners, you just need a couple cards. I once used to mine 3 algos with a single rig.

This is not the last (the last was a reply to me sending them the blockchain again):
" I am not sure where exactly you heard the rumour about delisting XCN but I can assure you we have no current plans to delist any coins. "
BTW they stopped answering to me the 25 Nov. After that I sent them another 4 mails.

Poloniex delisted xcn, eating all the deposits. Despite having promised me they would have fixed it. I liked that exchange, but after this experience, I will not use it, let alone trust it, any longer. There is really no excuse for them as btc38 and bter are working just fine. What a waste of time trying to help them!

I never had a mixed cards issue since I started. I even mined with amd and nvidia on the same rig. And with different miners on some cards, etc. All ok. I guess it might have to do with drivers and OS, though.
I'm sure you've ran into scenarios where you have to run multiple miners instead of just one. Most basic compatibility issue. I run multiple miners only when I need to: different algos, for example. Not 'cause of issues. So the bug with Claymore and Genoil's miners for Eth where you couldn't mine in mixed systems never plagued you? You had to run two instances, one for each OCL and Cuda. I never used claymore miners. I actually mined with fee miners very very little. And i mined ethereum very little, just a couple days. Now that you make me think of it, I had to run multiple instances of a miner when I solo-mined SIA, at the beginning. But that was a limitation of the miner and had nothing to do with the cards or the system, and it was quickly fixed. Yeah... that's why I mentioned miners. It's part of mining... You can definitely run both AMD and Nvidia cards in the same system, whether or not you can mine with them is kinda a big deal. That SIA miner needed one instance per card, even if they were the same model. Weren't we talking about mixed cards issues? I never had any.

Nah. Nobody donate when they can download for free any more.
Been sick with fever for more than a week. Probobly the seasonal Flue.
Just tested pentablake sp-mod #3.
The exe from 2015 does 110MHASH on the gtx 1070. With a little pascal tuning I managed 120MHASH
Opensource: 70MHASH.
So My private kernel is +71.4% faster
(gigabyte 1070 g1 gaming standard clocks)
is this algo even profitable? i see that joincoin is still there with a relative good price Joincoin only mints about $20 worth of coins per-algo per-day. Not even worth touching with a 10 foot pole. That's where my rant about coins that adjust based on market value came from a month or so ago. i see multi algo, always end like this, not a sigle one is profitable Joincoin was quite profitable a year ago, before the block reward decreased to almost nothing. Block reward is half now, but value is more than double. Unfortunately difficulty is also higher than one year ago.

EWBF isn't working on my computer, I don't understand what the problem is. I have 1 AMDR270X and 1 GTX 660. The software isn't able to run the worker. EWBF can't work if an AMD card is on the worker ? Nheqminer works, but the hashrate is realy bad The latest nheqminer should be as fast as this one.

I've been using this wallet for some time and I feel good about it. Recent codebase on an old coin is a good thing (if it works that well). Algo is smart enough to avoid a simple cut and paste gpu miner; but don't expect to avoid it, if the exchange volume rises. If the dev is going to keep it updated, and maybe add some nice features in the process (you know, things that drive people like anonymity and fast transactions), this coin may succeed, in this see of dying altcoins.

MODIFY THE CODE WITH ASSEMBLY, RELEASE IT, GET DONATIONS--
OR what the heck, just keep it to yourself and use it on your farm. Just don't screw with the GPL. Then, nobody will have nasty comments. -scryptr
They'll leave nasty comments anyway, even though devs steal ideas and code base from each other all the time. It's like half of coding. As long as you don't copy paste, it's basically not violating the GPL, that's why it's next to impossible to patent anything in code and/or make a lawsuit out of it. It literally wont ever go anywhere. Depends on how much money you have: microsoft is getting fees for linux usage...

OP needs updated and thank you, you're very kind I think that, unfortunately, the OP author isn't available any longer. sad really, this is a great coin, what coin did you create? I didn't create any new coin, but I'm involved into some: J, XCN, ESP... I've thought about making a coin but the hard truth is if your mask is below legendary or hero, even if you're an honest person, you're assumed to be a scammer and your coin is torpedoed before the first line of code is even written. if you're a newbie, you're roadkill. sad really. But there are a lot of coins whose OP has the same name of the coin itself :-D Or has little activity anyways. Don't get stumped by that.

Guys I've been talking with the devs on slack for months: even if they don't post here, rest assured that they are working on the project. If you are interested, maybe you can ask to be invited to the slack channel.

yeah, do it, so they won't release any more opensource.

sometimes you can overclock to a level with a certain miner, then it gets optimized further and the same level of overclocking isn't stable any longer.

Finally! This is very good news.
