Vettel retired - I think we all saw this coming. He is legend - 4 times World Champion after all and great personality. But few recent seasons were decline. Interesting what he will do now.
And damn, times flies so fast. I still remember his debut race in 2007 when he replaced Kubic like it was yesterday. His first win with Toro Rosso and dominace in Red Bull were like few years ago...

Was he strong or did he only get lucky to be in the right spot at the right time with RBR?
I think both.

I think I have never seen rain in the Hungarian GP
There was few wet Hungarian GP's, but quite long time ago. I think that most recent was in 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crEjfg7I5ps

I wouldn't say that there is many unexpected results happened. Yeah, few favorites got eliminated, but such things happens every season. What a day for Malta, all their 3 clubs reached next round. Hibernians kicked out Levadia, Gzira eliminated Serbian Radnicki after penalties and Hamrun won against Velez Mostar from Bosnia.
Sligor Rovers kicked out Motherwell quite unexpected. It again proves that level of Scottish football besides Celtic and Rangers is shit.
Osijek got eliminated by Kyzylzhar (I almost broke my keyboard spelling name of this team Cheesy). Kyzylzhar spent most of game in defense, but it was enough for them to make few dangerous attacks in 2nd half to convert it into 2 goals. One of biggest surprises.
One of fastest goals I saw recently - for Viborg it was enough 17 seconds to score goal and basically earn spot in next round: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NpjdJ4L74Wo

Of course, I wont post this, but there is a video where the russians literally cut off the testicles of a captive during a live stream, offering to continue for donations. I know there are a few people here, not including the fuckers on the payroll and other lunatics who continue to humanize the russians so my point is you should stop doing this, there is not and never was any gray.
I saw it, horrific. Now name and all personal details of this shit is already known and he becomes main target of AFU:

I Don't support war crimes, but in this case he deserves to be castrated in same way as he did to Ukrainian soldier. But I think that Ukrainians willdestroy him in more humanic way

Who said what to whom a few years ago?
I would post more fresh video, but thanks to Russian invasion, Ukrainian fans can't express their opinion in stadiums:

Any way, Poland fans also had powerful performance:

I think it's great idea. Helping for new projects who don't have budget for promotion or their main goal isn't commercial sounds great. You can mark me Depending on availability. Now I'm in campaign and I can't have alternative avatar, but I can add it on my personal text and website link on my profile. Probably it's not very significant, but better than nothing.

LOL, what else to do after your team conceded goal, lost game and got eliminated from competition? Offcourse, some desperate chants Cheesy. But Ukrainians have much better chant to respond:

Zalgiris unexpected won against Malmo 0:2 and on aggregate 3:0 they go to next round. It means that club from my country will play in group stage of UEFA tournament (Conference League at least) for the first time. Finally! Malmo had more posession, but they weren't really dangerous.
Fenerbahche - Dynamo Kyiv was great game and I happy that Dynamo goes to next round. 1st half was completely dominated by Fener and it's looked like matter of time when they will score. But 2nd half was more equal and on extra time Dynamo managed to score decisive goal.
Maccabi Haifa very unexpected humiliated Olympiacos 0:4 away. I didn't knew that VAR works at such stage. Oly scored goal, made score 1:1 what looked like big facor, but after VAR it was cancelled.
Bodo/Glimt 8:0 Linfield. These stats tells about game more than thousand words:

Up until recently, i thought Gibraltar's national stadium had the worst pitch, but after seeing the highlights from the first leg, Zalgiris has surpassed it with possibly the crappiest artificial turf i've ever seen. It's dangerous to walk on that thing, let alone play football, and it's always at a disadvantage to the visiting team.
Itdoesn't just looks terrible on screen, it's terrible pitch actually. Maybe such pitch can be considered as advantage for home team, but local players also hate to play on it. BTW, this stadium had good quality artificial turf: but few years ago stadium owners changed it into much worse

Seems that Football is coming home, so far we haven't saw any force which can stop England. Disappointed about Sweden performance, it was just too easy for England.
Other semifinal between France and Germany, it looks like 50/50 game, impossible to predict. Personally, I would like to see Germany winning this game.
2148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Qualifying on: July 26, 2022, 10:48:01 PM
So, Midtjylland disappointed us again, they managed to reach next round only after beating AEK in penalties. Shamrock Rovers made big upset by eliminating Ludogorets. Pyunik won big against Dudelange, despite conceding first.

Tomorrow I see good odds for Olympiacos win. Despite that Bodo/Glimt lost 1st leg against Linfield, bookmakers are very confident about their win - 1.08. Probably main game will be between Fenerbahche and Dynamo Kyiv. I would prefer Dynamo to win this game, but common sense tells to bet on Fener.
Slovan - Ferencvaros looks most unpredictable game, late goal of Zurich in 1st leg against Qarabag still keeps them in fight. Malmo - Zalgiris should be interesting too, after Zalgiris made upset by winning 1st leg and dominating game.

Sheriff managed to surprise everyone last season, but so far can't do anything in the qualifying round. I thought that after last year's triumph they would have no problem getting into this season's Champions League. Also from today's matches, I consider Dinamo Zagreb to be a good contender to win. I think they will beat Shkupi.
Sheriff team isn't something special, for such small team reaching Champions League group stage is almost impossible. This season they already passed 2 rounds, what is already great achievement, which already gives them place in Conference League group stage. Europa league groups is more realistic goal for them than Champions League.
2149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Russian Premier League 2022/23 Season on: July 26, 2022, 10:28:33 PM
There way more foreign players in RPL remaining that I expected. Now there is 92 foreign players registered, 85 if we don't count Belarussians who doesn't count as foreign players there. After all, it's about 20% of players.
Without UEFA tournaments league lost much interest. Yeah, becoming champion is still big deal, but remaining places like 2nd, 3rd, 4th doesn't matters without places in UEFA tournaments.

What does this have to do with the Russian league and its players? Did the players start the war? Are the players fighting in war? Just as the sanctions against Russia in all areas of life are unfair, the punishments given in sports are also completely unjust. Those who oppose it justify injustice. Not only in football, but in all sports, Russian athletes are treated unfairly, you have to be blind to not see this. UEFA's decisions are just a big joke. In fact, Russian teams should seek their rights against the law, otherwise this mafia order will continue.

I hope foreign players will play again as soon as possible. Some players didn't leave the league last season, players like Yusuf Yazıcı continued to play. Players who wanted to run away just got their contracts terminated but I don't blame them. Not everyone wants to play in such difficult conditions.
I don't see nothing unfair in sanctions against Russia in all areas, including sports. It would difficult to understand decision to allow Russian clubs to play in UEFA competitions like nothing didn't happened. Probably you're going to say that sports and politics shouldn't be mixed, but it always been mixed. For example, remember 1936, 1980 or 1984 Olympics. And this time it's not even politics, it's war

The Baltics are next in line for denazification.
And then Poland, Finland, UK, later US and half of world basically and then everywhere will be Russkiy mir.

And Trump is going to win in 2024, and denazify the US.

Cool
Why he didn't ''denazified'' while he was presidentin 2017-2021?

I see that most of you favouring England and it's understandable. Yeah, they played very solid in group stage and so far conceded just 1 goal. But when in 1/4 final they met very strong Spain team, we have slightly different view. I expect that Sweden won't be much easier. I predict that after England will reach semifinals, but 90 minutes won't be enough, I want to see extra time.

I just saw the highlight today, it was 8-0 in favor of England,  Cool
Norway had no answer to the unbelievable passing of England. Almost all of the through passes touched an English lady's feet and had real venom in them. It was like the Norwegian defense had no answer for the attack of English players. There are a lot of origin players, and they are coordinated, so they were all over the place in this match. They could not mark any player properly at all and they have paid the price for that. I think Norway could execute an offside trap plan very well against this type of attack.
Really? You just replied to post made 2 weeks ago and it's relevant for long time already. 1xbit spammers at it's finest.
2153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Qualifying on: July 26, 2022, 03:30:06 PM
@morvillz7z, I completely agree Midtjylland, they are much better team and it's unbeleavable how they didn't even managed to win first game. But Ihave different opinion about games where you picked BTTS. I think it's more likely that we will see low scoring games where only one team will score.
I rather pick parlay on Plzen and Dinamo Zagreb wins @2.10. Ludogorets win @2.20 also looks very attractive.
2154  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mandatory military enlistment on: July 25, 2022, 11:02:11 PM
Good topic for discussion. I don't really like current military enlistment system. Military service isn't fully mandatory for everyone. From all eligible people (18-23 years) they are calling about 4000 people and they have to serve for 9 months. So, basically, it's lottery. And no matter, you have made family, having personal business or something similar. You can get called even if you live in foreign country. Only exception if you study in university. But in such case your military service will be delayed until you will end university. I think that such system isn't fair. I think it would be better to call everyone without excpetions after school when young people still haven't started their life - job, family, credits and so on.
I haven't got ''lucky'' lottery ticket to military and now I'm a bit too old to get it. Now I only can go to military as volunteer and sign contract with it.

Since we are talking 1xbit campaign, I think there is no chance that manager of their campaign will pay attention and take some actions. But there is another problem - such posts don't add any value to discussion and it goes against forum rules. It's not even some generic shit writen, it's just empty post. So, it should be reported to moderators. I don't know how much time it takes for him to fill post with content after he published it, but if mod will act fast enough, such posts will be removed.
If it would be normal campaign, such user would lose his spot soon, but 1xbit don't really care about it.
2156  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ukraine President suspects Treason on: July 24, 2022, 09:35:11 PM
@DrBeer, damn, that's serious stuff and it explains quite a lot things and why Russia didn't had much problems in Southern Ukraine. I think you don't have to be military expert to expect that Russia will attack from Crimea. It was much more difficult to expect that they will attack from Belarus.

I think it is safe to say that the special operation to eliminate any anti-Ukrainian elements in Ukraine has started.

Ukraine should have done this in 1991 as the Baltic countries did.
Actually, Baltic states haven't done enough to clean up from pro-Russian elements. Former communists were allowed and still allowed to be ellected and work in public sector. So, from communist they have turned into patriots. Most of them don't have pro-Russian views or at least don't show it, but in general they are harmful for country.

I would not be surprised if Ukraine similarly has spies in Russia.
Offcourse they have.

Seems that Ferrari is biggest enemy for themselves. Something always should go wrong for them. Either their strategy fails, either it's reliability issues or driver mistake like this time. And inviting Sainz to pit when is literally fighting for postion - c'mon seriously? Then mistake for unsafe release... I'm not going to question his 2nd pit stop, maybe Ferrari decided better safe than sorry.
Russel complaining about Perez when it was fault of Russel that Checo left track. Offcourse, Perez wasn't better when in final laps he was complaining about Russel leaving track. But that when Russel caught Perez not ready for the end of VSC was nice.
And for me moment of race was Stroll telling to team to leave him alone in Raikkonen's voice Cheesy
2158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Women's Euro 2022 on: July 23, 2022, 09:31:51 PM
Netherlands won't be able to defend title that they won 5 years ago. They got eliminated by France. This game had siilar scenario like yesterdays's Sweden - Belgium. France dominated game, same like Sweden yesterday. One difference - For France 90 minutes wasn't enough to score, they managed to do it only in extra time.
Netherlands didn't managed to make something dangerous during whole game. Even when they needed goal, France attacked more.
BTW, is it just for me looks that women dive and simulate injuries much less than men?
2159  Other / Meta / Re: Beta of new forum software now officially open on: July 23, 2022, 09:17:31 PM
When I saw this thread, my first thought was that it was a new one even though I saw it was quite a few pages long--I thought I might have missed it in the past couple of days.  I chuckled when I opened it and saw how old it actually is and realized for just how long I've been hearing about the fabled New Forum Software.

I'm almost certain said new software is never coming out, though I haven't checked for any new developments in the thread dedicated to it.  I'm just assuming that since it's taken so long, things that might have been worked on in the past would be, if not obsolete, not real improvements to the forum as it currently is.  Fine by me, though.
You're not alone. I haven't checked Meta for few days and I already thought that's new topic. I actually completely forgot about Mew forum software, there weren't any talks about it for a while. I'm not even sure that development of continues. I'm fine with current software, but it would be shame that after spending so much money on it, new forum software won't be released.
Still, I believe that new forum software will be released earlier than hell will freeze over Cheesy.
2160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 23, 2022, 04:24:43 PM
Ferrari today used Sainz very effectively. He wasn't fighting for any position today, so helped to Leclerc by making slipstream which gave significant help for Leclerc. It's likely that he would pole without help, but now it become even more confident.
Tomorrow weather is going to be even more hot. Interesting how tyres will work. Also, wouldn't be surprised if some drivers will have problems with overheating breaks and maybe some engines may fail in such conditions.
