Imagina comprar uma ilha física. Não tem smartcontract que faz isso hoje (é necessa'rio ir a cartorios, transacoes bancarias, etc etc). Será que existe de fato vantagem em colocar a gestao dessas coisas no blockchain?

As vezes, pensa-se que estes hacks podem acontecer, faz parte do crescimento, etc.. etc.. etc... Em parte é verdade. Os bancos lidam com milhões todos os dias, e felizmente são poucas as vezes que ouvimos falar de milhões roubados por hack aos bancos. Não estou a dizer que não acontece, mas é mais muito menos. O problema, e conhecendo muita malta de IT, é que muitos tem a a presunção que são os melhores e por isso acreditam que o modo de fazerem as coisas é o melhor e nunca vão ter problemas porque sabem o que fazem. Isso não é problema quando é no PC deles. O problema é quando essa presunção vai afetar a perda de muito dinheiro de terceiros. E sinceramente, acho que muitos projetos ligados as cripto, tem um grande défice na segurança informativa. E não ouvimos falar em mais hacks, porque boa parte desses projetos tem pouca relevância financeira (pelo menos até agora). acho que parte desse lugar acontece devido à diferença de serviçoes centralizados e descentralizados, construir algo público e com código aberto e auditável tem suas desvantagens, você fica mais vulnerável, por outro lado a cada erro o sistema fica mais resiliente, a gente pode aprender com cada hack desses e iterar para que não aconteça de novo agora, crypto tem muitos erros humanos também, hacks por engenharia social por exemplo. acho que acontecem bem mais hacks em bancos do que ficamos sabendo por exemplo, uma vez vi um cara especialista em segurança no Brasil comentando que existe determinado ataque à base dos grandes bancos que se acontecer os bancos perdem a licença com o BC ou tomam uma multa gigante, não lembro então se um hacker encontrasse uma vulnerabilidade, e muitos encontravam, acontecia uma chantagem que o banco acabava pagando o hacker para que ele não fizessse o exploit, curioso que normalmente o pagamento era em crypto. |

Vou deixar duas indicações, uma diretamente correlacionada com criptomoedas e outra que não tem nada a ver com cripto, mas que acho que vale muito a pena.
O primeiro é Cypherpunk Bitstream, que não tem muitos episódios, mas eu acho cada episódio um deleite intelectual sem fim. É muito alinhado com minha perspectiva mais anarquista e ecológica da vida, então realmente adoro.
O segundo é um podcast imenso, de umas 4 horas, sobre política internacional. Eles sempre fazem um resumo de TUDO de mais importante que rolou no mundo, passando de continente por continente, chama xadrez verbal. O bom é que da pra escutar por partes ou sobre os assuntos que mais te interessa só. Eu sempre ouvia voltando andando da academia/praia, ai ouvindo um pouco por dia, no final da semana tu sabe tudo que rolou no mundo inteiro.

Isn't it obvious it is going to have an impact on the gamblers? Those who hold bitcoins and sometimes gamble with their bitcoins are now going to gamble less because the value fell which means they will have to gamble "more" of their coins which might make them lose more coins, hence less likely to gamble more and wait for the market to recover. They literally have less money to gamble with than before. On other hand, those who just invested during the dip might want to gamble more, for the exact opposite reason. They won't be losing much in value, but if they win, they will be winning more coins and if they hold their coins for long term, they are making some good profit.
I don't think that's the case for the casinos who have a direct betting with Bitcoin or other altcoins and has the betting limit set in Bitcoin value. Since you're actually betting on Bitcoin which also means you will win a percentage in Bitcoin as well not in dollars. So, regardless of how much the Btc price is, still it doesn't matter coz again you are betting with Bitcoin. in the end it'll only matter if/when you end up converting btc back to fiat, or fiat to btc most of the people still have to buy or earn fiat at some point to pay their living expenses and stuff |
