ocminer if I mine now and accumulate lets say 5 ZEC, will I still have these coins after it goes live? Will I be able to spend these 5 ZEC later?
No, it is just testnet mining currently, I will wipe everything at mainnet launch Ocminer, tomorrow the stratum address for the mainnet will the same as the testnet now? stratum+tcp://zec-eu.suprnova.cc:2142 ? Yes, will stay the same. I'll lower withdrawal fees tomorrow, don't worry

I've had a look at the protocol and it's quite time consuming adding support from the pool side for the protocol, it would be better if the miner author would simply switch to regular stratum support .

On suprnova pool.
I see just CPU miner or GPU Linux..but not GPU windows (amd, not nvidia) Not released yet, probably soon before launch
|
|
|
With this special version, you don't need "-l zec.suprnova.cc:2142" - so just run it with: nheqminer -u worker.1 -p x -t 4 And it should work. Also you should use "-cd" to run on cuda When running this, it isnt using my nvidia GPU. What am I doing wrong? nheqminer -cd -u user.worker -p password -t 7 Use: nheqminer -cd 0 -u user.worker -p password -t 7

The pool will auto-change from testnet to real zcash at launch?
yes, you can keep your miners connected any ETA for AMD cards miner? Do you know when tomorrow will be switch to mainnet? I hope I wan't be too late for the party. But as I understand, block reward goes from 0 to full reward in cca 8 days time. Right ocminer? should be released today. mainnet launch is planned for tomorrow, no time known

nheqminer -u WebLogin.Worker -p password -t 4 For CPU, right?
yes, you can leave -t 4 away as well

run without "-l" like so:
nheqminer -u worker.1 -p x
got it awesome thanks love suprnova by the way thanks ! glad you got it working and great to have you on the pool ! you are welcome i am new to mining literally a few months, and used a lot of pools learning and such but i find suprnova to be my top pools to use i highly recommend them to everyone one question though, i got my testnet wallet up in linux but when i try to add it to the pool it say not a valid address just curios what i might have done wrong, cause i use the same z-addr with faucet and get a few coins so i dont think i messed the wallet up some how lol Currently only t-addr are allowed for withdrawals because z-addr are not traceable ... so when a failed payment happens, I cannot tell where it went from the poolside.

Is there a countdown for start?
From Twitter: It takes some time to generate the genesis block, and build the binaries. We're going to mint the genesis block and prepare binaries and things the night before (i.e. tomorrow evening, Thursday, Oct 27). Then go to sleep. Then get up and release it the next morning, San Francisco time. Keep an eye on our twitter feed: https://twitter.com/ZcashCo100 !

Is there miner for AMD cards?
not yet, hopefully soon
|
|
|
Now I get: Should work, run with -cd 0 -t 0
|
|
|
with -cd -t 0 (GPU only) I get 0 sols/s: What is wrong? GTX 970, driver 375.63. Seems it doesn't recognize your GPU.. Run it with "-ci" to get cuda info

@ocminer Thank you! What a difference between nheqminer and nheqminerSSE2? The sse2 version is compiled for special cpus with sse2 support, just Google your cpu and you should see if sse2 is available for it trying this version on win 7. getting: connecting to stratum server equihash.zec.suprnova.cc:2142.sup.rnova.cc:2142 resolve: no such host is known. reconnecting. With this special version, you don't need "-l zec.suprnova.cc:2142" - so just run it with: nheqminer -u worker.1 -p x -t 4 And it should work. Also you should use "-cd" to run on cuda

is there an example of a bat file cant seem to get the miner started this is what i have
nheqminer -l -cd 0 zec.suprnova.cc:2142 -u worker.1 -p x -t 0 -h pause
thanks in advance
You can remove the pool, so just : nheqminer -l -cd 0 -u worker.1 -p x -t 0 -h pause

Does this work with AMD based cards? Not yet, only CUDA, but OpenCL is next
