If you think it really matters to paypal call them up and tell them that user name northoutboards on ebay has sold 13k in btc and see what they say? I have been threatened with that a few times. They dont give a shit. As long as they get their fees and I dont get a ton of charge backs they dont care.
2182  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buying bitcoins w/paypal on: February 16, 2013, 02:32:48 AM

VIRWOX.COM ACCEPTS PAYPAL AND IS TRUSTWORTHY! I've used. I would never trust an individual with paypal. The chargeback system is absurd; any user can cancel a transaction for almost any reason.

Ya I accept it on ebay and facebook. I sold 13k in btc with no problems. But I know how to find scammers and bitcoin buddy is looking like on right now. Looking super scammy. Answer my questions!

2188  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: What legally prevents a business forming that lets you buy anything with bitcoin on: February 16, 2013, 01:42:49 AM
In this example.... newegg accepts different forms of payment. So what form of payment would this business use to buy the merchandise? Would it be a corporate or business credit card?

And when that company goes to pay their taxes...... They pay taxes on their profit right? The fee for the service they charge?

Right business only pay taxes on their profit. Other than sales tax

2190  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: What legally prevents a business forming that lets you buy anything with bitcoin on: February 16, 2013, 01:26:20 AM
Maybe I should rephrase my question and give an example

Suppose someone has bitcoins. They want to buy a computer part from newegg. Newegg doesn't accept bitcoins as a payment. In comes this "business" . They accept your bitcoins and in return they will buy the computer part with their money... and since they were paid in bitcoins then they can simply exchange those bitcoins into money and make some small profit based on whatever fee they charge. How is that dishonest or illegal?

How is it any different than the new business that lets you order pizza with bitcoins?

the question is what legal hurdles are there? Not what is honest or dishonest since I wouldn't consider such a service dishonest.....

There are no legal hurdles you can do it no problem just pay your taxes.

2193  Other / Off-topic / Re: My 2,000 BTC is all gone :( on: February 16, 2013, 12:29:26 AM
So, my husband owns the house (the mortgage is in his name), but a few years ago we opened a HELOC (Home Equity Line of Credit) together, with both our names on it. Some time last summer, I borrowed $15,000 from the HELOC without really asking for permission or telling my husband about it. I told him eventually (he asked about it after seeing a transfer on the monthly statement). I used that entire $15,000 to invest in bitcoins, and bought about 2,000+ of them.
Anyway, as of last Sunday, it's all gone. No more 2,000+ BTC. All gone poof  Cry

This makes it sound like they were lost or stolen. They are not all gone poof the are all gone sold.

Oh, and I'm the finance expert in the family (do our financial planning, investing, taxes, etc), so my husband trusts me with all things finance.

Well ya coulda told us that from the start, you drama queen.  Wink
Also, being the finance expert in the household, would you mind offering a tax advice applicable to people who bought low, sold high, and purchased goods with fiat?

My wife is tax expert you want to talk to her?

Scam detected  Cheesy

I know why he is doing it that way but really who is going to go through all of that.
2196  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why do people pay fees? Why are free transactions accepted by miners? on: February 16, 2013, 12:03:54 AM
I pay the fee for my customers. Who cares .0005 is nothing (right now). If they by a coin to sign up for a web site- nzbsrus I just give them them extra .005. Again who cares?  Fee on one coin .0135 usd I think I can live with that.
2197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ripple a Bitcoin Killer or Complementer? Founder of Mt Gox will launch Ripple on: February 15, 2013, 11:59:10 PM

I wanted to get a refresher but wondering where to start? are you saying 3-10 min mark?
So they way I see ripple right now
Ripple= insecure debt is that right?
If you wanted to loan so money out why not just loan some money out? The person you lent to knows they owe you money you know they owe you money what the hell is Ripple good for? I dont need a public ledger of my private debt.
BTW debt = slavery.
2198  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's first major deflation event, and its consequences on: February 15, 2013, 11:23:35 PM
It is very clear to me what is happening and why it is bad for BTC. Everyone around here is wearing green colored glasses. We cant all get rich, markets dont work like that. This time is not different!! It is never different.

Oh how I yearn for the day far in the future when all of you with sophistry infatuated people will get your meeting with the cold hard reality and when this "Deflation is bad, mkay?!" idiocy will have been destroyed once and for all much like "Earth is the center of the universe, mkay?!" once upon a time was.

I really can't wait.

Foolish foolish fool you craaazzy fool. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYaXFCFgMpA. A little sublime for you ass from sublime5447. With respect.
2199  Economy / Services / Re: Cheap Investigative Service on: February 15, 2013, 10:58:12 PM
If I were to give you the name of someone who lived in the UK, would you be able to give me relevant info? I have a reasonable amount of info already, no financials. I was told by my lawyer I couldn't pursue debt collection as a US citizen against someone in the UK without dealing with what he called a "legal quagmire". Still, he owes me 22.5 BTC, so I'd be willing to deal with a small amount of "legal quagmire" even if I sold the debt to another UK citizen.

I assume you have contact info & pricing for the cheaper phone centers that will call folks for debt collection as well?

Do you have a use name or anything? I was scammed by a guy in the UK and have all of his personal info if it was the same guy I will share it with you.
2200  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has anyone used liqpay? Can I get a little help? on: February 15, 2013, 10:51:19 PM
That is a good way of looking at it, but my customers dont see it that way. 5 months of on demand bitcoin will spoil you.
