221  Other / Meta / Re: Italian main topic on bitcoin - why we have so much OFF TOPIC? on: February 21, 2024, 09:19:41 PM
Maybe you should try reporting those posts that you think are off-topic to the mods. If the moderators keep deleting off-topic posts. The spammers will give up and stop going off-topic. I don't know if your local moderator is active.

Alternatively, you can vote as a community to request admin to disable signature display in the megathread or just lock it and start a new one that is self-moderated.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which project/token inflicted your biggest loss? on: February 18, 2024, 09:46:30 PM
Fortunately i didn't suffer any losses due to the LUNA and FTX fiasco except maybe just a dip in Bitcoin price which is part of my portfolio. Perhaps I owe this to the lessons I learned during the 2017-2018 ICO hype, where I made some losses trying to HODL and religiously believe in ERC20 tokens  Grin

There were so many tokens I held, but the most notable one was PundiX because I was about 70% of my portfolio. I ended up selling off the tokens when the prices had totally dipped in the middle of a bear market. From then, I stopped putting most of my energy in shitcoins.
223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 18, 2024, 09:04:13 PM
Bochum beat Bayern München, which means it's the end of the road for Bayern München. They are now far away from the championship. Bayer Leverkusen increased its point difference to 8 points. With 12 matches remaining, the point difference is over 2 matches and Leverkusen remains undefeated. Bayern München's years-long streak is about to end. All praise goes to Xabi Alonso. How many matches have they been undefeated, it's been a crazy season for them.
It just keeps getting worse for FC Bayern Munich and Thomas Tuchel. From my personal view, it just can wait to see another team lift the Bundesliga trophy, especially a team like Bayer Leverkusen. For so long, Bayern Munich have monopolized the Bundesliga while at the same time killing off their top opponents by buying up their key players.
This made the league so boring where one could predict who was going to lift the trophy at the end of the season even just after 5 matches.

I presume he is never coming back to this thread using any of his alts after the unplanned outcome.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forecasting the areas that will receive cash flow in 2024 on: February 18, 2024, 04:11:00 PM
2. Spot Ethereum ETF
After the Bitcoin ETF is approved, there is a high possibility that the Ethereum ETF is only a matter of time. So ETH itself will be the big narrative for the upcoming cycle along with important upgrades incoming of its. Maybe if it gets crazier, Ethereum could surpass Bitcoin in terms of capitalization this cycle.
Why is this in the list, even when they have not been approved yet? Do you have any slightest Idea it too for the Bitcoin ETFs to be approved?
Just so you know, SEC still has mixed feelings about Ethereum is a security or not. Imagine after all that time of Ethereum's existence, there is no clear boundary regarding it being a security or not, and you think they are just going to approve an ETF overnight just because the recently approved Bitcoin Spot ETFs?
227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: February 17, 2024, 09:59:13 PM
Barcelona, Atletico they have been inconsistent this season. Naturally, Girona was able to get points against them. Secondly, I observed that Girona is actually still under Real Madrid. So far, they have been able to take advantage of the opponent's weaknesses and the type of play of closed Girona. This means that they get a lot of points with a counterattack system to make goals. In addition, they rely on the spirit of hard work.
Atletico Madrid Might finish second ahead of Girona. Their form has been improving compared to the start of the season. I don't think those lads (Girona) have all the resource to keep up the good fight until the end of the season. Maybe they will fight for third place with Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao.
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 17, 2024, 09:53:49 PM
Well, you're right. I am disappointed with the result of the match, but this is not the end of it. Thinking about how to improve it is better than regretting it, that's what Pep Guardiola must do in every next match. I saw Haaland frustrated in this match and several times he failed to convert his chances into goals, but I hope he will soon return to his best performance.

The next match is against Brentford, in that match Manchester City must win. There is no reason to lose or lose points, otherwise Liverpool will be more comfortable at the top of the standings. Today Liverpool and Arsenal both won their respective matches, they got better especially when Manchester City dropped points.
By the way, so many people undermine Chelsea. I guess because they had very bad form at the beginning of the season but to me, lately Chelsea is a hard nut to crack especially if they are playing against a top league team.
They have quite a number of stars in their team, all it take is all the player turning up, and they will give any top side a run for their money. The result did not surprise me.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don’t you think BRC20 tokens need more spotlight? on: February 17, 2024, 09:27:50 PM
You really care about that? I do not but Litecoin is probably the closest they could move to since they also have inscriptions. If not there then any of the chains. I still view them as short-term money making opportunities and they can get that even if they migrate.
Do you think they will still be known as BRC20?  Grin

We all know Litecoin chain is less popular, though it's a good one if one wants transactions with cheaper fees whenever Bitcoin network is clogged but let's be honest. There is only one reason why the inscriptions were so much hyped up on the Bitcoin network.
230  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Sell BTC to Cash/USDT on: February 17, 2024, 12:00:06 PM
I think you misunderstood him. He wants to trade face-to-face, and therefore this can be done in an open and safe place, such as a bank or in a public place, but who is the idiot who would think of carrying $831,000 in cash to buy Bitcoin and deal with an unknown person?
It's a very huge risk. With $831,000 in cash, You basically become a moving bank or bullion van, and you end up putting a target on your back. Don't get me started on the part of counting and verifying if the banknotes are counterfeit or not Grin

Meeting in a public is no guarantee of security, as the bad actor can still trail the person they want to rob.
231  Economy / Reputation / Re: Back and Better on Bitcointalk on: February 16, 2024, 09:51:25 PM
Yep!  It also means he was ban-evading. He created and used the ArikeTobi account while the Nathrixxx account was banned.
He should have just shut the hell up and no one would have known, but here were are now in for a new episode of drama entitled "Back and Better on Bitcointalk"  Grin

My Lessons While Away
You have been around all this time evading a ban, please save the paragraphs of advice to yourself. It's a huge disappointment.
232  Economy / Reputation / Re: Casino employees/promoters giving red trust to victims on: February 16, 2024, 11:17:06 AM
Let me clear you better on this matter, I am not on any side, I am neutral. All I know is that justice is not served with the way some people are taking it here. This is a peripheral media trial, it doesn't hold any water, yet, I like to only take a side when either of them could prove it without any reasonable doubt. None has done that, they are just saying. So, I remain neutral.
The support can provide some details showing why an account was flagged. Obviously they can't share everything in public but if the accuser is not satisfied or claims to be so innocent, they can use a third party mediator like askgamblers and I have seen issues get resolved.

Besides, VPN is not illegal in casinos, though, it is good to avoid it to avoid issues (that's if you know). You will contact many of them (casinos), and they will say they allow it.
Well, for Shuffle.com, it is illegal. If in any doubt. Just check their ToS. If indeed that person was innocent and just used only a VPN, then you can be sure his account got flagged because a similar IP address was used to create several other accounts to abuse the service. Casino abusers do this all the time, especially for bonus.

Also, KYC verification becomes hard. The IP address logs show that he is from one country, but the KYC documents show that he is from somewhere else.

What if the guy never knew but used it? Don't you think he could be ignorant?
Ignorant!  Grin

Quote
I believe he was even ignorant to have stated it on that thread, and if it breaches their terms and conditions which I didn't read, then he is guilty. Nevertheless, cases are treated separately by a fair institution in case of ignorance. Many had used a VPN that breached Ts&Cs and was still fully settled when they traced that the gaming activities were entirely different. So, VPN usage is not the "right" to confiscate your money by any fair establishment, they will investigate further. Regardless, never did I read it was even because of VPN over there, but because of many accounts that acted alike.
If one can not even read the terms and conditions of a service, they are going to place their money in, then what is their purpose?

VPN usage is prohibited, but then you go ahead and use it. When the system flags your account, you still blame the casino?

Let's not just look at it only from the "victim's" side. Casinos also have a name to protect. I know there are legitimate concerns, but some of these accusations are also false and are targeted to blackmail the service. If sure someone is clean and innocent, they can get help from an independent arbitrator.
233  Economy / Reputation / Re: Back and Better on Bitcointalk on: February 16, 2024, 09:49:04 AM
I don't see your name in Second chances.

Only three members got second chances in the list.
It's true, he has been unbanned or given a second chance, for sure. Cyrus hasn't yet updated the unban list. If you check his signature space, there is a clue

234  Economy / Reputation / Re: Plagiarist DiMarxist is back. No signature ban? on: February 16, 2024, 09:33:40 AM
The admin best knows why he did not impose a signature ban on him. Probably the plagiarism offense wasn't financially motivated, so he just decided to go soft on him. There is nothing much we can do except reporting any of his spammy posts. I think a few more accounts have been unbanned, but we can not know until the Admin updates the list or the unbanned users make posts. From what I have seen, very few unbanned chaps have posted so far, which makes me wonder why some of them appealed against the ban in the first place if they were not going to post in the forum.
235  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are children born out of wedlock is still a blessing from God? on: February 15, 2024, 09:57:42 PM
Do not get the religious bullshit get into your head. Religion is just something man made, and it was used to divide and rule some very strong and united societies. Unfortunately, the whole thing has stuck around to this date.

But in Africa we begin to view such children as illegitimate child. But the big question is that does God also view that child as illegitimate? I think the answer is no. Because if God sees that child as illegitimate then He will not bless that child.
From this, I gather that you might be from Africa. If I may ask, before the European colonizers invaded your land by first sending the Missionaries and their religions. Should we say all your Great Great Great forefathers who were born out of "wedlocks" were all illegitimate?
236  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are most scammers from Nigeria? on: February 15, 2024, 09:50:09 PM
You stated it right. It looks like the Government over there fucked up it's citizens and therefore there are high unemployment rates. If I am right, Nigeria is the highest populated country in Africa. If you add that to the fact that Government does not care about its Citizens, what you get is youth who have given up on looking for employment and instead resorting to scamming and stealing.
We can see similar cases in countries like India and I think Bangladesh.

He get full member from me and block me after details.Scammer, I will send a feedback for the same. He not paid money for the account.
I guess you now know why account sales are highly discouraged in the forum. That trading business is full of scammers and account hackers. Any way, since you claim that he took a full member account from you and blocked you. I suppose it isn't hard revealing to use the details of the full member account he took from you. What is the name of the profile?
238  Economy / Reputation / Re: Casino employees/promoters giving red trust to victims on: February 15, 2024, 08:53:30 PM
Personally, I don't like this and am also disheartened by them. They look one-sided and it shows the lack of regulation of the red trust. I've always known that any power/freedom given without regulation can be misused, and what I just read are examples of that. I can only see excesses.

I wasn't privileged to know what transpired in the second one and I didn't read it still yet, but for the first one, I was able to read what happened and even replied there a while ago. My take is that for a company representative to come out to state their own side of the story without proof doesn't make the person alleging them guilty.
The accuser even admitted to using a VPN service to access the site with already is a breach of ToS. Why was he even using a VPN service in the first place, very well knowing it could get his account blocked?

Secondly, when one uses a VPN service to access a casino, one must know that very many other bonus abusers also use VPNs to do the same. So the system can easily flag one's account as an alt of other abusing accounts if the IP address is the same. If you are a casino owner and possible alt accounts are flagged, what do you do? I would love to hear your opinion.

240  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ethercrash.io site is down?? on: February 14, 2024, 09:42:22 PM
I tried looking for any social media channels like Telegram or Discord. Even on the archived version of the site, they didn't have any options for a user to contact support. We can not be sure if the casino is genuinely undergoing an upgrade, or they just decided to exit-scam. Time will tell. In the past, they would go offline or even had scam accusations which they would promptly resolve.
