221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitTorrent (BTT) coin! on: February 08, 2019, 03:45:38 PM
what was the ICO price?
of course a binance ico will pump to the sky but just as quickly dump hard, regardless of how good the token is.
it looks like it's falling down again.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Delayed "Exit Process" of Failed ICOs on: February 07, 2019, 04:39:49 PM
an interesting take on it, for these projects.
was it always an idea to scam and the exchange listings etc was just to win time?
did they believe in themselves too much and when it all came around they realised it wasn't as easy/groundbreaking as they thought..?
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What make these coin so valuable ? on: February 07, 2019, 04:37:18 PM
Nothing makes those valuable, that's why they've gone down and stayed down!
it was all about hype during 2017, but in reality, majority of those(a few of them actually are useful), and majority of coins in general, offer nothing new or impressive.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ICO Dying ? on: February 07, 2019, 01:11:48 AM
Just last week we had a x10 ICO, how is this bad lol, we're still in the bubble phase. People will now return and look for other promising pumps.

what are you referring to? there's lots of icos going at all times but the way you phrase it sounds like it's some common-knowledge ico, like btt?
it seems like bad development saying people will return and look for pumps! not good for crypto.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I wanted to know if there is a hodler right here? on: February 06, 2019, 07:53:06 PM
I've held all through 2017 and I'm in profit, but that's one of the few cryptos that actually has risen this year(and is on top 100).
majority of coins including many of those I held at some point during 2017 has dropped lots in usd value,
and doubtful if they'll ever rise again?
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Characteristics of Successful ICO on: February 06, 2019, 07:45:20 PM
good solid points, I had some equal points in my "guide to analysing an ICO", incase someone is looking for some more information Smiley
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Smart Contracts replace traditional contracts? on: February 06, 2019, 07:24:07 PM
with oracles, smart contracts is the next step of traditional contracts with all the great functionality of smartcontracts,
including the benefit of the generally very low cost. it's the next stage of evolution  Grin
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All ICO driven altcoins will drop to zero in the longterm. Just by logic. on: February 05, 2019, 08:17:35 PM
this is a good post and in simple terms it's correct, but any   serious ICO-funded projects, wouldn't just dump all their tokens?
it's the same as going bankrupt or something, there's hardly volume enough for 99% to sustain a dump, and when dev wallets start dumping, all trust is gone
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the ICO culture dead already? on: February 03, 2019, 02:47:52 AM
it's an ice age in all of crypto right now, there's huge trading volume but not alot of new money flowing in(?), not much room for any new ICOs at this time?
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins follow the path of silver on: February 02, 2019, 08:03:53 PM
majority of alt coins are created out of thin air, backed by nothing, and has no value because whatever they are supposed to be utilized in has no reason to be on blockchain/is done by better coins already!
it's not the same as silver, silver has real value (demand and scarcity?)
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty managers cheat content creators on: February 02, 2019, 07:44:05 PM
Could you provide an example? if you link one of your creations(blog post) and maybe show the stakes received?
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New project in 2019? on: February 02, 2019, 12:33:04 PM
The majority of coins from 2018 has lost value, while a few has risen - with the next bullrun, many of those are probably going to get left behind.
before, it was just hype, now it seems to be more of real value - and most coins today are copies of other coins, or offer things that other coins does.

try to find the coins with real use, and it's worth entering..
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you already own some GRIN privacy coins? on: February 02, 2019, 12:31:04 PM
GRIN as technology seems very interesting, but at these prices it's very risky to buy - untested, lots of coins still waiting to be dumped..
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto ATMs on: February 01, 2019, 08:13:24 PM
That's a surprisingly low number of both, 4000 crypto ATMs!? a long way to go! which is good!
and 4 million regular ATMs... ok that's a good number.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rewarding bounty hunters with EQUITY SHARES instead of tokens on: February 01, 2019, 08:09:20 PM
What is a promise worth tho, is there any sort of legal contract? no? it's a google sheet, this development sure is strange but is it done for their best, or to abide laws as good as possible?
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Exchange Run ICOs may be a bad idea on: January 31, 2019, 08:13:54 PM
I don't know the specifics but www.coinmetro.com are planning on having an ICO platform aswell, hopefully it'll be more open..
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Grin Coin : Not just a new currency in the list. on: January 31, 2019, 12:31:21 PM
grin is certainly an interesting project and it is exploring very interesting concepts in blockchain technology with its privacy focused approaches. but its economical design is terrible in my opinion. nearly a decade of experimental altcoins has proven that you can't really chose a big supply and a fast supply creation and also have your coin gain any traction in the cryptocurrency world

i am sure that if theymos never added grin to bitcointalk most people would have never even heard the name "grin".

this is exactly my concern, I actually bought some grin but quickly sold the last few days - lots of people are selling OTC really cheap and during the past few days seemingly miners gained 100s of % from sales, and the economics is pretty unclear. which is sad, considering how great a true privacy coin would be. but there's "Beam" too worth looking into
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Bull run bring about the resurrection of ICOs and dead Altcoins? on: January 31, 2019, 10:24:29 AM
I'd say the opposite, the next bullrun will focus on actual coins of real use. without exaggerating, 95% of stuff listed on coinmarketcap are redundant in one way or another!
either other coins can already do it, or there's no reason for it to be related to crypto, etc..
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Exchange Run ICOs may be a bad idea on: January 30, 2019, 03:22:15 PM
if there were only a 1000 buyers, was there strict limits (for some reason)?
if anyone was allowed to contribute (almost) any amount, it seems like it should work out great, with a lot of people participating.. why not?
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: ERC20 virtual debit card? on: January 27, 2019, 06:48:27 PM
sorry what kind of functionality would this contain?
do you mean a debit card tied to like an exchange or some type of middleman that would sell your ERC20?
(i know this exists for bitcoin and such), just seems like this already should exist if that's the type of debit card you are looking for  Shocked
