Also did you notice how he ignored your votes ? WOW . I can't believe that . They added YBC , BIL and RIC those coins bearly have any community . This is a scam . Do not expect respect from this guy . sigh I ve been following Franko for a few months, and im sorry, it is not "stronger" than Vert. Both on a Tech/innovation level and a community level. Haven't seen the price go up at all  crying everytime I check coin market cap Yep, that has been the case for me too since I bought in about a month ago. As a matter of fact every coin I hold has only gone down after I buy in. I t is a hard way to learn what the term bagholder means. Yes, you are correct. There is 3 choices: Hold steady. sell at a loss, and move on Buy more because you believe in VTC longterm Do as you wish (do research), but to me the 3rd option is the most practical. We are involved in a crazy industry, unregulated and full of nonsense. Yet it is full of potential, and VTC is is one of the few that has merit going forward. All the best mate, your own research/gut feeling always will always be the most important. |

Many people believe in VTC, thats not a problem, its not premined, its immune to ASIC, it was the first globally known coin which made it, so the potential to be a new litecoin is big enough.
The problems are:
1) Subsidy halves every 840,000 blocks (~4 years) = huge daily inflation, 1-2 years would be enough. 84mil. coins mean that the value of 1 VTC will be in few years similar to 1 LTC in the BEST scenario. However the daily inflation will be many thousand bitcoins so its impossible to go long term over 0.01BTC of its today value in 1 year. In the best scenario again.
2) Altcoin global depression and loss of trust due to many scamcoins
3) Still has not bottomed, expecting the real bottom at 0.001, all altcoins will crash but this one will crash not so hardly.
Bitcoin still looks like a better investment and it will be probably whole next year.

Its not in panama. Anyways, I dont doubt the dev's sincerity, but something like this requires tremendous planning and support in order to work properly. It doesnt seem the project has either. We will see. The project DOES have support and planning, only it is not something that is done by one entity while everyone else is waiting for it to happen with a bowl of popcorn on their laps! This conference doesnt seem to be a particularly premier one, my question is why focus on this one. Also the fees associated with it are higher than most. The quality of speakers is a mix bag, with some notable ones, but also questionable ones (titiecoin). So is the aim that the dev team just gets some convention experience (fine), network (fine), or something else. I would like to know how this fits into the general strategy which is reasonable to know in situations like this, whether is a donation to a charity, church, or the girl scouts.
It's entirely reasonably to want to know where your money is going. We actually think this looks like a really notable conference and will grow in future - unlike some of the Bitcoin-centric conferences, this one seems more interested in innovation and fresh ideas. I hesitate to give it any kind of endorsement (because, until it's happened, I can't really say much more than you) but it seems, at this stage, like it's going to be a good one. Also, there has been a lot of crowd founding in recent weeks which is great. But its getting to the point where things are getting spread thin among a number of products. Jballs and the media release was funded and we havent received an update, and the animation, water well stuff on reddit etc.
Jballs I can't speak for - I haven't seem him either, I hope he's OK, and that he comes back. The press release that was funded via vertcoinmarket.com has been upgraded - casp3r traded the VTC for BTC and sent it to me. I want it to go out via the best channels possible, so we're going to pay for release through a higher-premium service to get it out there. We didn't want to come back and ask for more VTC again, so me and another guy on the dev team (one of our PR experts) are paying the difference ourselves. I expect the press release will come out next week, but it might be the following week - the reason for the delay is entirely my fault, everything was in place but I've been to busy with other things the past couple of days to do my part, and there is a specific time/day we want to release it which fits in with the standard editorial calendar, so it's not just a matter of getting round to it ASAP - it also has to tie in with that. Thank you for the prompt reply and candor you have shown. One thing from the beginning that I have noticed is the professionalism of the development team, and this is refreshing . Keep it up.
